Finally Graduated Illustration!/Commissions soon/Anthrocon
Posted 14 years ago[Journal]
Edit: Thanks guys! :)
Hi everyone!
I graduated this week, how awesome! My vernissage went very well and I was a approached with a few job opportunities for book illustration and videogame concept art. I don't want to talk too fast, we will see how that goes! :) - It was a very very busy week, but I am glad of how well things went.
I can now invest my time in making moar arts for you guys. I am currently in the process of updating my Terms of Service and Price List for commissioned work. I am not accepting the commissions right yet, but this is just a heads up that I am indeed opening soon.
I will be taking large commissions (either full body characters with minimal background or full background), and badge commissions in both digital and traditional mediums (if youre interested in a different kind of commission, feel free to ask). I am really excited and looking forward to bringing people's characters to life and make illustrations people can be happy with :) (Side note: I will draw tasteful nudity(such as pinups), but nothing beyond that at this time.)
Another thing I've been rather busy with is anthrocon! Sadly being a student straight out of school, I have no money set aside for traveling to anthrocon this year. But Synnabar is kindly agenting for me! I will have LE prints in the art show and a few originals (including the ones that didn't make it in the show last year). Also, I am in the process of preparing some print packets for a low price since I have so many prints laying around here looking for a home :)
Thanks for reading :)

Posted 14 years ago[Journal]
I'm going to try and find the time for a loose painting soon to start up my muse again. Any suggestions of species (maybe this will spark up an idea in me)? I don't mind if its not felids- I like to draw other things too! :)
PS: No, I am not asking for people to suggest their characters to me, this isn't a freebee art thangg :P

Posted 14 years ago[Journal]
Hey everyone :B (if ur still there ....... >.>)
Yesterday was my last day of illustration classes. So, I Will be more active here in the summer, its nearly over. Since I am graduating this semester, I have a final exhibition to prepare for AND anthrocon which should take a few weeks, but after that I'll be more active on FA, and taking commissions.
As a side note I will have artwork at the anthrocon artshow this year! (But via agent, I will not be there. Too much of a broke student to travel) :)
I'm very excited to start creating again :)
BUT YEAH
I graduated Illustration&Design! woohoo :D

ANTHROCON ART IDEAS?
Posted 15 years agoJOURNAL(posted this to my LJ a few days ago with a few replies, trying to see what kind of feedback I will get here)
I started brainstorming for AC artwork, and I am in need of opinions! Though I appreciate all feedback, I'm especially intrested in the experiences artists have had at art shows over the years/and what buyers tend "to go for" the most. I know its usually a gamble, and how the piece looks in the end, but if someone could give me a "GOOD IDEA"/"BAD IDEA FOR ART SHOWS" list or something that'd be great. I don't get to go to these conventions so I don't get the chance to take in this information for myself. So if you have any themes and ideas you feel would be worth exploring for anthrocon artshow art then do let me know! I need ideas for both general and adult art galleries.
Another question:
I have an oriental/cherry blossom themed idea for an adult pin-up piece. I am trying to decide which species to use out of the following: bengal tiger, clouded leopard, or Red Panda. Based on the assumption people prefer " charismatic animals" and "pretty" patterned animals, I'm leaning more towards the Clouded leopard- especially on the basis that I haven't even drawn one yet! My second choice would be a red panda because I think it would be cute(and I also havent drawn one yet XD). Last would be the tiger, because I already drew a few recently.
Any other animals/themes/situations you would suggest for both General art and Adult art?
thank you for your help in advance everyone, I really appreciate this!

Prefrences on Egyptian Gods/Goddess Depictions
Posted 16 years agoI was wondering how the majority of the fandom prefers depictions of Gods/Goddesses of the Egyptian sort.
Do you like to see the real representations? The animal head, the human body.
Or the full animal/traditional anthro version? (Of course, all animal - like the usual anthros)
I intend to make a series of images of egyptian gods and goddesses(once I am done commissions of course). I can't make everyone happy, but if I can make a majority happy- cool!

Adult Art Show Pieces...ideas?
Posted 16 years agoI'm kinda stumped on what to do for my remaining pieces for the art show. I have to finish my adult pannel.
I have ideas, I just dont know what to go with. Actual all out yiff, or pinups with aroused pink bits/ sexual themes. I guess ill never know for sure what is most effective unless I try it.
But in any case, feel free to suggest things that have worked for you. Themes/ species, gender and so on. It might help me just choose something.

Art show advice please?
Posted 16 years agoHi guys!
So as you may have heard, my art will be sold in the anthrocon artshow this summer. This will bemy FIRST art show, and I am very noob, and even worried about it.
So what I would like to know are your experiences: What sells, and what does not, and so on. I suppose this also depends on HOW its drawn, but generally I want to know what works and what doesn't.
I asked for 2 general art pannels, and 1 adult. Right now, I *DID* plan on selling a lot of my older works. I want to give homes to these pieces cause theyre not doing any good lying around here. However, I realize they are all felines thus far. Basically, Id have an entire panel left to draw other species for. Do you think I should "remove" some of these pieces(and put them in other art shows), and replace them with other species? Or am I just putting too much thought into this and should just try to sell it all anyways? I won't be offended if you say "I have my doubts about the success of this particular piece" in the list(id appreciate to be told why). Now I realize their is a chance that these may not all sell (I am not expecting to sell everything) but I just want to put myself in the best position possible.
Here is what is complete and what I was planning on putting in:
The Lord of Bangladesh (GENERAL- Bengal Tiger)
Hunter of the Hare (GENERAL- Lynx)
The Spirit of the Himalayas (GENERAL - Snow Leopard)
Machairodont Matriarch (GENERAL- Smilodon )
The Golden Slave (ADULT- Cheetah)
Slay by Moonlight (ADULT- Lioness)
Other species I am planning to draw are of course foxes, and wolves. Any other suggestions (for both general and Adult panels) are of course welcome. Species, subject matter, themes , sex positions, - Id like to hear it :)
Thanks for reading all that and I appreciate the advice a whole lot :)
