I think my artwork falls into "mature artwork". I try not to post too many naked bits here, 'cause... I don't know!? I totally draw other weird things, but it seems most of my watchers are not into the whole nakedness thing.

And yes, I like drawing furries, whether they're PG or not, but I didn't take certain comments too well, the last time I posted furry art (NAKED furry art. Just naked. A naked cat girl. Does that really offend people?!), and have refrained from posting stuff like that here anymore. :/

As an artist and person, I'm changing constantly, and almost feel like I've gotta show that here on DeviantArt. (I'm not happy with how my gallery represents me nowadays) Honestly, I really don't share much of my artwork at all. (I almost feel embarassed sometimes >.<)

How do you feel about me censoring myself as an artist?

PS: On Facebook, I *know* for a fact that I cannot share some of my artwork. I have very religious folk on both sides of my family and I just do not think they would understand why I would draw anything other than PG artwork. @_@; So I'm very picky and choosy about what I post on there. Especially since I feel that my DA account is somewhat easily linked to my FaceBook. (Yet I'm 100% certain only my brother actually has checked out my DA account :P And he doesn't care what I draw) But I also do have family who understands my artistic weirdness. They even want to have me draw them naked too! haha, family is weird, huh?

On July 27th, 2012 at 2:30AM, I naturally gave birth to a beautiful bouncing baby boy, Rafael Lakan Olivares. We all came home together last Sunday night, and wow, being a mother is such a wonderful thing! Life is so magical :D I had the BEST birthing experience I could have asked for, and it's all thanks to Gela, my cousin, "doula" and super support person. Without you I don't think I could have done this! Miguel my rock, my love, my life, my time and space, moon and stars ♥ Josh my brojo, and my amazingly loving and wonderful mother! Me and my sweet slow loris are planning on moving out of Pasadena in March (hopefully!!). We will still be in the Los Angeles area--Just not exactly sure where? Not only are we moving out for space and privacy, but we are also expecting!! :)

Remember the Space Case comic I did for 24hr comic book day a couple years back? Well, we almost thought it couldn't happen. But with the help of SCIENCE (and IVF), I still have a functioning ovary (as painful as it still is ) and have gotten pregnant.

Honestly, this is a miracle!

I don't want to bore everyone with the details (perhaps it'll be the subject of a new mini comic like Space Case)... but we did it!

Apologies for keeping a LOT of you in the dust. This is a very very sensitive subject for me, and I just want to be healthy and have a family, and get back to drawing ASAP. For now, crocheting has brought a lot of relief of stress, pain, and emotions at bay. Not to mention it is highly relaxing and meditative for me :)

On December 21st, I underwent emergency surgery. I'm slowly recovering, since I had an incision that took 23 staples~ No worries though! I'm doing much much MUCH better now... It's just taking much longer than I expected, to come out of surgery.

I'm keeping myself busy by crocheting lots. I don't really have the energy to be at a desk and drawing like I used to :( But with crocheting, it's opening up a whole new world for me that I never knew had such possibilities! I've discovered Yarn Bombing (http://yarnbombing.com/) and Free Form Crocheting (http://www.lafguild.org/workshops/august07/freeform.jpg). Both have peaked a high interest in me, as an artist, and I hope to come up with interesting new work this year, since I probably won't be drawing as much due to my bed confinements (FOR NOW, AT LEAST!!)

So now, it's just a moment of being optimistic and going through post-surgery recovery. I'm excited for this new year. It's bringing a lot of opportunities that look grim to some, but I'm finding the light in life!
