Wanting To Get More Involved In The Fandom
Posted 12 years agoI bet all of you remember what your first con was like. How you were smiling at how many people shared the same love you had for anthros, how they appricated them in art, movies, and even music. How everyone seemed to want to welcome you with open arms, (especially the fursuiters lol), and how everyone just seemed to come together for an event that felt magical in a way.
That's how I felt at MFF this year. I had seen You Tube videos of it, had seen videos of the fursuit parade, and other activities that I always wanted to see. When you see all these things right there, in your face, it's a whole other thing. It's full of wonder, amazement, love, and happiness. I met some great people down there, met furfriends that I even knew when I started to be in the fandom, and some artists that know how to draw and really are one of the reasons why the fandom does well.
It was one experience I'll never forget, and one I will experience once more, I'm determined to go to whichever con I can go to. Though, I will make MFF an annual priority.
However, there's just one question I want to know. I feel I haven't been involved in the fandom that much. I have been a fur for seven years, and I've hardly had any commisions done of my fursona, haven't done much with my FA account, and I haven't even shared a talent I share, music. Going to MFF has made me love this fandom more than I could ever have thought I would. I never want to leave here, because it's too good of an experience to leave.
I want to know your opinions though. How should I get more involved? What should be the things I should do to contribute to this fandom?
Whatever the answers are, one things for sure. This will not be the last con I will go to. From the bottom of my heart to all the people who made MFF possible, from the staff, to my long time friends who brought me to this place I love, thank you.
