So much happened this year for me, damn. xD

Just hoping 2022 won't be as turbulent for once. ^^

What a surreal feeling. Not even a month ago, I'd finished my final day of classes; and now I'm here with a driver's license after being on a learner permit for three years.

Definitely a proud moment for me.

Kinda feels weird, but overall I'm happy to be able to finally be free there. Looking forward to university; that starts in 4 months, and I'm still not 100% certain if I got in or not, but the chances are looking really good! The only thing I'm a little dissapointed about is I'll be going from 9-3 classes to 9-5.

(Oh yeah, fun fact: I'm now the only person in my family to have graduated high school instead of dropping out.)

Now I happen to be 19 years old!

Feels kinda weird. xD

I'm sharing this now because I realise just how good it feels to know that my body will at least have better defense against COVID; even if it's only one shot thus far.

Me having a weaker immune system in general made me pretty worried about catching COVID; and when it did pretty much nearly kill me last August when I got it, it frightened the shit out of me. Glad I never had to go under a ventilator, at least.

So far, I've only got a slight head pain (not a headache...literally just a pain in the head) and a sore arm, but I'm otherwise feeling great! ^_^

Can't wait for the second shot next month.

I knew you for over a year. Lots of time spent talking together, and hanging. You really were an amazing, cool dude. I crushed on you for some time. I'm sure you knew, but I wanted to tell you that so badly and couldn't.

I only just learnt you had passed a few minutes ago, yet you have been gone for a few months now. I was wondering bad what happened to you. Wish I could've showed off all the cool shit I've done lately, talked about more music with you, seen what you would've been doing in future..fuck. I just hope that your death was quick and peaceful.

You're legitimately the first person I was close to that I've lost like this. Knowing I'll never get to talk to you again, see you again, no matter what I do hits so hard. I don't even know what to say.

I don't know who you really were outside of your face, if Peter Grey was even your actual name. I might not get the chance to pay respects myself because of that if I ever travelled. I do hope that one day I can leave a flower at your grave myself.

I'm sorry that I never reached out to you in your last months. I'm sorry I wasn't there to talk to you much in general later on. I'm sorry for a lot of things; and a lot of what ifs. I'm going to carry a lot of guilt for not being able to talk to you before you passed.

I'm going to miss you so much, man. I really hope you're at peace and happy wherever you are now.

I don't know when I'll start putting journals in there, but safe to say at least by tomorrow I'll have made the opening journal; mainly to explain what's been going on and why what's happened's happened.

I'm feeling better today, so I'll probably be getting into the groove of making music again.

Never thought I'd post this journal, but damn it's surprised me and I want to share it.

I finally was able to come out to my parent regarding being pansexual, and recent trauma from a relationship with a man I loved. I thought he was homophobic (he's definitely very traditional) but surprisingly he was very supportive of me. I didn't think I would be able to have him as an outlet to vent regarding that stuff, but he was there for me, and I couldn't be any more thankful. I didn't really have anyone else to go to, so it helped a fair bit. That hole in my heart is still there but hopefully, with time, I can get over it.

Just wanted to get that off my chest. I figured I'd note that I'm probably also going to start another account regarding my mental health (since I don't want to flood this account with that stuff..you're here for music and that's what this account is for) which will probably end up being created fairly soon. I'll most likely make a new journal for that.

I honestly wouldn't expect any music to be made for a bit, still gotta take some time to recharge my batteries and refresh before I can get back into that creative spirit. Just wanted to say thanks to you guys though, for supporting my music.

So glad FA's being much tougher on YCH reminders. Now I hopefully won't have to see them filling up the front page every day :D

Been one hell of a year. In the span of 12 months we've had:

-nearly WW3
-COVID
-lotsa protests
-more celeb deaths than 2016
and a bunch of other crazy shit. Really amazed I was able to escape this year somewhat unscathed, gotta love being an introvert. Hopefully next year will be a little better.

In the meantime, been working flat-out on my game Beyond the Forbidden Lands, and some music on the side for the past few months; trying to get the next demo for that ready ASAP. Also been prepping for the holiday season, hopefully I'll be able to get out and about a bit in the next few weeks before I start classes next year.
As the year progressed, I was able to upgrade my libraries, getting much more nicer sounding samples for specific stuff like guitars or woodwinds; so I'll be putting those to use quite a bit in future! As for the game, I'm hoping the next public demo will be out early 2021. Team has been flat-out working on pretty much every aspect, and I'm really excited to start showing off what's been made soon.

This year also marks my return to Second Life, after my long-enough hiatus. Doesn't mean I'm going to be uploading any SL-related stuff here. If anything, that'll be crammed into a different account. Happy to be getting back into the groove of making random stuff, stops me from getting bored at least.

This is the first journal I've ever posted on this new account. Feels good!
2019 was a hectic year for me, especially when it came to me moving home. Even now, I still have a few boxes in my room that I've got nowhere to put lol

I'm hoping I'll be able to create some more tunes 'n covers this year, perhaps get some more artwork of Skipper + some stuff for my frens! I've managed to get more vastly high quality sample libraries to use in songs, as you might have noticed based off the jump in instrument quality especially around after October. I honestly surprised the heck out of myself when I realised One-Winged Angel actually sounded good the way I had done it; all tracks I've done aside from OWA I was never able to quite get to my liking. I'm trying to stay away from redoing past tracks though, done that too much especially with Perilous and The Price of Freedom. Maybe in future....

In all, it's been quite the year. Can't wait to see what this year will have in store!
