Dunno who'd be paying attention at this point but for those of you who are, I just want to shine some light on things.
It's been a pretty long time since I've uploaded anything to this account. That's mainly because for most of that time I just fell out of love with writing.
I had ideas, but putting them down, starting over, all of that just became too painful for reasons I don't honestly know.
So, I've just been trying to live my life more as of late. Whether or not I'll ever finish anything and upload it here remains to be seen, but all I can safely say is that contributiong to the UTOverse just isn't in the cards for me anymore. I tried to write a third story for an acquantance and that just completely crashed and burned. The well just ran dry, and pretending otherwise was just hurting myself in the end..
I can't promise any new material on this page, but I can promise I'll take care of myself.

Posted 6 years agoAt long last, the complete edition of GAR&R is finished and out for all to see.
Me and Wdw have some neat stuff planned for the future, yes we do. Just you wait and see.

My Future Plans

It's been a bit of a stretch since I last commented here. But I'm pleased to announce that very soon, I will be releasing parts one and two of the revised edition of Glamorous Alien Rock & Roll.
As of today, I'm up to part seven, correcting typos and adjusting description and dialogue where I see fit. And thanks to my editors WeaselClaw
and Wdw (The latter of whom I'm also brainstorming and potentially co-authoring with for my next story in the UTOverse. Watch out for that.) these editions will hopefully be free from any errors while keeping the contents largely the same.
The original uploads will be put into scraps, but not deleted from my profile. And once each part is adjusted and edited, one large file with all of them collected novel style will be issued for those that want it.
For all those who diligently waited to see where this story would go next, I cannot thank you enough. Greener pastures are coming.

Two day hiatus
Posted 6 years agoHello, I figured those of you who are invested ought to know what's up.
I'm taking a couple days break from writing part ten of Glamorous Alien Rock & Roll.
Mainly, this is to reset myself and get my bearings again. That, and I've been having ideas for other stories that I want to jot down before I lose them.
Sadly, this may mean that part 10 is the first part that took two or more weeks to finish, but I'm sure it'll be out before next tuesday.
This is also the final part of the story for those who don't know, so I'm hoping that I can wrap things up well.
Thank you for your time and patience with these uploads, and I hope you enjoy the next update.

Comets at Sunset
Posted 6 years agoHello, bit of a dour topic for my second journal but I feel anybody following deserved an explanation.
My little 1500 word story, Comets at Sunset was intended to be the start of a mini series to support my current project - UTOverse: Glamorous Alien Rock & Roll
But as I've re read the story and further internalized it, I've only become more and more unhappy with it.
As a result, I've declared it non canon.
Character details and their personalities remain true to GAR&R, but everything else detailed in the work will not be considered when writing future parts.
Small supporting stories may still happen soon, and I have an idea for one lined up.
But when each part is collected and re-edited after the final update releases, Comets will not be among them.
Thank you to all who enjoyed it, and those still anticipating part 8.
I'll do my best to make these final few parts something you'll enjoy, and that I'll be proud of.

Strange topic for my first journal, but I've done what I feel is a fairly major edit to Kamh'sen's dialogue in part five of Glamorous Alien Rock & Roll.
In the original cut, she implied that proxies were already in use. But Wyldsyde's 'Subjugation' (where the concept originated) implies that they were only seeing widespread use ten years post-integration, so this is impossible.
I've edited it down to reflect where I believe the technology could reasonably be at this point in the timeline:
Prototypes and news stories about the technology exist, but the proxies themselves aren't being used outside of a few field tests, and I've made edits to reflect that.
The edit is already up on the SoFurry version, and should follow on FA not long after.
I want this piece of work to remain as internally consistent with other UTOverse works as possible, so re-editing this bit of the story was pretty important to me.
Sorry for the hassle.
