It's October and I haven't done a sale in a while. So here we go.
I'll be doing a special sale on multiple themed commissions. Anyone who commissions a Halloween themed image will get their second commission for half off and so forth. Extras included

Never did things I was going to do.
How stupid of me.
BUT THERE'S REASONS
My Father and I have been clearing up the house to get ready to sell so we can move at any point. That's been a lot of work as well as being depressing as fuck.
Also, I work 6 days a week and only have 1 day to myself fully, so I'm motivationaly drained for any new ideas. So between moving things to storage and Salvation Army, cleaning 26 years worth of trash out of my house and going to work, I haven't had time to sit down and work on things I want besides warm up sketches or little doodles.
My work schedule isn't going to change much, but I can try to find more time to get more art in since the house is really completely barren. (even the fridge)
Alright, now that my stupid little attention-whoring rant is done, here's the art related things.
I'm also going to be redesigning Jack just a little bit. A little more detail to make him look more rabbit than generic furry thing. Maybe a clothing update too. Always gotta get that best in slot gear. As for the 'Jackette' side story, this will continue as well but I want to focus on the main story just a little bit more. I know ac2 has put cash towards that branch and I don't want it to seem like wasted money, but it will return "soon-ish".
I'm going to be doing a Buy one get one half-off Commission event. As well as Halloween Commission's for a reduced price. This will start, maybe at the end of the week? You know me and getting things done at a timely manner. I'll try to get it set by then.
In closing, I'm going to be a bit more active on here and I'm sorry for the lack of art.
I also want to shill my Tumblr Page. I mostly have sketches from a certain anonymous image board, and half done project ideas on there, as well as stupid posts from vidya games that I have been trying to find time to play. I'm not one of those jerks that reblogs stupid shit either. Just stuff I don't bother posting in scraps.

Posted 10 years agoJust curious. I've got a lot on my mind lately, a lot of conflicting thoughts and changes going on which I think is the major part of why I'm not doing art as often as I used to. Like would you still stick around if I go on and change style or start drawing serious adult images. I'm like contained inside of a bubble that I forced myself into which I'm really starting to hate.
Bah. I'm currently working on a revision of my prices and what I will draw, and I'm going "Am I seriously going to do this?". Like I grew a conscious and somehow think everything I draw is wrong and I should be ashamed of myself lol. For some reason I feel BAD for drawing things. Like what the fuck?

Posted 10 years agoUpdating the CYOA formula
I know I haven't been working on it lately mostly because of work and battling a cold, but I've had this in my head for a long time now. I want to make it more interactive.
Trying to fit in story as text in a small 2000x2000 page and downsizing it by 33% isn't cutting it for me. I don't think it make it appealing, and writing out a long story in the description of the image takes away from the image itself. My first attempt at this was a canned and really bad animated .gif version of the battle with the demonic changeling which I may upload to scraps later. My second attempt was making it Flash based with clickable speech bubbles which didn't get past creating a backround in which I realized I need to study planes and lightsources more before I make a more convincing background.
The Idea of Flash Animating the story stuck with me and I wanted to further expand on that idea. If you ever played a JRPG or something similar where you have a textbox and two characters or more on the sides of the screen making static gestures as they talk, then that's what I'm thinking of doing. It can allow more story in, more dialogue and maybe even enhance the world a bit. There's also maybe adding in mini-games if I get better with flash. I've had this idea of making fights animated since the beginning. I've had this Flash CS4 Professional Classroom in a Book on my desk as well as Actionscript 3.0 since I went to college and I have not once used them even in classes, and I've already finished college back in 2012 lol. Talk about wasted resources.
An Entirely new project
While I do not wish to stop CYOA at any point, I do have another comic series that I've wanted to do ever since I had this once Lucid dream. Basically it's about a Medieval setting (go figure) where Red Dragons watch over and protect kingdoms unbeknown to the citizens of it from Black Dragon threats. Sounds kind of a basic fantasy story, but I want my try on it. CYOA is literally made up on the spot. This is why there are so many inconsistencies (Cherry knowing where Jack's house is..etc). This is going to be written up and planned and made up like say a Webcomic, but I myself am not a writer so it's just something I want to see if I can pull off.
Other forms of income
I see that other people do this Patreon thingy. I'm hesitant about it. I don't feel like it's right and it feels very scumbaggy, especially for me to do. I like making everyone happy and putting my art behind paywalls is stupid. Plus it's another site for me to upload shit to. dA and FA is enough. I don't even use my IB anymore, let alone Weasyl.
Streaming
I plan on streaming more. Maybe once I feel better and stop coughing up sticky mucus from my lungs into my nose. It's going to be erratic though. No real set times.
Uh, so yeah.

-Car didn't pass inspection, repair bill too much, going to have to sell it. So now we're missing a car.
-My Dad has been suggesting selling the house even after he said he would never, but he's going forward with it.
-I'm going to have to move to Florida and rent a house with him and unfortunately his new girlfriend he met like 6 months after my mom died because it's cheaper than what we're paying.

How do you feel about just keeping the $10, $25 and the $35 ones? The ones in between were redundant like the $20 one. I feel like a complete jerk who shouldn't be pricing things so high but people DO buy them. Repeatable customers too. Sometimes I feel just like I'm not worth the money, but people have proven otherwise. Unless they just say they like them with a fake smile.
I don't know. Discuss.

Best Tutorials to look at for painting?

Posted 10 years agoSo yeah, some retarded looking thing called Mewtwo appeared in Smash today. I have no clue who it is, but I like them.
Maybe I should draw it more and base two art accounts with that name. Yeah.

I'm guessing you're wondering what my opinion is on him now in Smash 4, or maybe not.
He's okay. Smash 4 is still a pretty dull game, but Mewtwo does bring a bit more enjoyment to it and he feels about the same from his melee counterpart.

I'm guessing you're wondering what my opinion is on him now in Smash 4, or maybe not.
He's okay. Smash 4 is still a pretty dull game, but Mewtwo does bring a bit more enjoyment to it and he feels about the same from his melee counterpart.

But yeah. Mewtwo for Smash is looking great. It's nice to see him back and playing like his Melee counterpart.
To be honest this whole thing of me drawing started back during the whole Mewtwo/Lucario fanwar. So thank you Lucario. Without your shitstorm I wouldn't buddy you up with Mewtwo for laughs.
