Anyway, Its-a me, Mario! Wahoo! And I have a VERY SPECIAL announcement I'm so happy to post. As the title says... "The Moment That Started It All".... well okay, not ALL as in EVERYTHING, but I mean.. the moment that started THIS account! The moment that cause the MFF Mario Bros FA Page and the Mario Bros of Lake County Facebook was captured on film, and I have found the film on youtube! So now I will share it with you all!
Brief Backstory: The MFF Mario Bros started because of the "Whose Lion Is it Anyway" Panel held at MFF 2012. Luigi and I decided to give i a shot at the game "If you know what I man". Host by Alkali, He ended up putting Luigi and I in a head to head match. I suppose it goes without saying "If you know what I mean" at a furry convention doesn't bode well. The result was a smash hit that spurred us to create this account and practice our Whose Line skills at home.

Roommate Wanted, Also Luigi #4
Posted 11 years agoWe have a room opening mid to late May, in Grayslake IL, and we are looking for someone to fill it. The house is a 2 bed/1 bath house. Potential roommate must not be allergic to cats and small, cat friendly dogs are ok. Rent is $425/mth INC. Utilities. Big back yard with deck, 10 mins walk to the Metra Train Station, which runs to Chicago, on a quiet dead end road. If interested, note me and I can give you more info. We prefer a single person but will consider a couple.
On a related note. The room is becoming available because Luigi is moving out and going to live in Japan. This means the MFF Mario Bros will no longer have a Luigi (at least, not one in the US). This means the MFF Mario bros will also have an opening for a Luigi slot. I'd prefer someone local who can also fill in the gap as Luigi of the Lake County Mario Bros. This will include access to this account and the Facebook page. We also currently have a Toad, Yoshi, and Bowser slots open at this time. Must provide your own costumes, but we can assist with things and guidance. You can also potentially be part of the Ghostbusters: Mushroom Kingdom Division.
These two offers are independent of each other. You do not have to be Luigi to be a roommate, and you do not need to be our roommate to be Luigi.

So, never done a live stream, or much with this game, but for the hell of it, we are going to be doing a live stream, right now, of us team working on Octodad: Dadliest Catch!
We've barely played this game, just enough to get an idea of controls. For an added twist, we've got it set up to randomly change who controls what whenever we complete an objective! This means we'll be changing controls a lot!

*Time Runing Out Jingle* Costume Update!
Posted 12 years agoWahoo!!! It'sa me, Mario! With 1 Month until MFF, it-sa time foran update.
But first, perhaps it would be a good idea to recap-a the previous month's announcements:
1. The Mario Bros and Peach actually have a room this year, so no having to leave early to drive home and arrive late in the morning!
2. Luigi gained a new costume at C2E2 this year. Also, We've been working on a brand new top secret costume NOT seen in any Mario game, but has been making some recent (and popular) appearances online.
3. We've acquired all the major components of said secret costume. So now it's time for some last minute assembly and all systems are go! It was also announced that this costume will debut on Saturday, Nov 23rd at MFF. It will be worn All Day!
4. Who's the Super Star?! It was mentioned that Peach would finally show up in her iconic pink dress. I was also hinted that the bros of mischief Wario and Waluigi may also make an appearance at future events, including MFF!
So.. that's the recap. Today, I'd like to expand on what #3 was hinting at. The first thing is that we said it would make it's World Debut... but perhaps World Wide Debut would be a better term for it. To clarify, pictures of the new suit will be posted on FA, DA, and Facebook all at the same time mere seconds before they step out the door of the room at MFF. This means that even if you can't make it to MFF this year, you'll actually be able to see the pictures and the outfits the same basic time those attending MFF will be able to see it in person!
The next part is we said it will be worn All Day. Why do I specifically stat all day? Well, with Luigi and I having so many costumes (Super Mario, Super Luigi, Cape Mario, Cape Luigi, Fire Mario, Fire Luigi, Raccoon Mario, Fox Luigi, Dr. Mario, and the new secret outfit), it's hard to really dedicate a day to a costume and choose which ones to use and not use. That being said, Luigi and I have agreed that we will be changing costumes throughout the day Friday. Since check out is Noon in Sunday, Sunday will be a sort of "Mystery" as to which outfit we'll wear.

Posted 12 years agoWahoo! Who wants an update-a? It'sa Mario time! I know we've been mentioning various updates-a over the last couple months. Well, I think it'sa time for another one... and its-a big one!
First up is I'ma so happy to announce that the Mario Bros is really starting to turn into a Mario Party! What-sa that Mario is talking about, you ask-a? Well, some of you may have noticed a female walking around with-a Luigi and-a me. For those that were fooled by the clothes she was wearing, it was none other than the Princess! She was in disguise to thwart any attempts Bowser may have made to kidnap her. After much discussing and convincing of Toadsworth, I'm happy to announce that the Princess soon won't have to be hidden in her disguise any more!
Not only that, but those villainous bros have-a been seen as well. Wario and Waluigi seem to have started following us around. I'm sure you'll start to see these two joining in on any future minigames! Oh, did I mentioned the next adventure board is set to be at the Hyatt Regency O'hare? It seems like MFF 2013 might turn into a REAL Mario Party!
The Princess, Luigi, and I are both-a getting pretty excited for November 22nd! But we still need to get-a though October's Boos first! Stayed tuned, as we'll have another update next month... One I'm sure even those not going to make it to MFF 2013 will be happy to hear!

Searching for a Kidney Donor

Apparently the donor needs to be A- or O- and older than 18. I've had a couple Kidney stones so I think I'm out, but I am reposting this as we furries have accomplished amazing things when we all work together to help out one another. We can be an example of how "humans" are supposed to act.
We don't care if you're fox, black, wolf, white, crow, gay, cat, japanese, mongoose dog, straight, yoshi, christian, pony, jewish, beaver, atheist, skunk, or even human. We are a community that welcomes all, tolerates all, can coexist with all, and helps look after each other. Let us spread the word, let us show this world what humans and furries can accomplish if we work together, and most importantly, let's help one of our own!

Mario Bros Level Up

In the Charity Department:
I know it's been a bit of time since I posted last, but I figured I'd share an update on things. Sadly, I think we are calling off the children's hospital visit for now. I need to get in contact with someone with more experience on setting up these types of things as I'm not having any luck myself. Problems is just so busy with everything I haven't had a chance to get back in touch with them.
However, we are not working with a local business to do a special Ice Cream Social hosted by the Mario Bros as soda jerks. It's still early in the workings, but we're hoping to make this a charity event for the Hope For Henry Foundation.
In the Costume Department:
Luigi has officially gained a new suit! It made an appearance at C2E2 in Chicago this year, but it wasn't really official, but now it is! I believe this puts him at 4 suits officially. I myself am also at 4, though I technically have a 5th, but the Hammer suit still needs a lot of improvements and work after its 1 night only debut a couple years back at MFF.
I'm also happy to say we are both officially working on a brand new costume set and have acquired one of the main parts. This is NOT a costume based on any game. It HAS recently made an appearance in an online video that has been gaining popularity, but I wish to point out I had this idea WAAAAY before these videos came out. We've just now really started working on it (I think these videos gave us the motivation to start getting the ball rolling). To put things in perspective, we now have 1 of the 3 main components and 3 of 6 accessory items. I know it doesn't seem like much, but considering this is scheduled to debut at MFF in mid/late November, we got time. It also helps we're NOT going to procrastinate on this one.

I landed a sweet deal on business cards and the Bros are going to be pretty fancy with REAL business cards. To be honest, I'mma pretty excited to meet-a my hero, Adam West, the original Batman! With only a couple weeks to go, we're packing our Stuffwells and planning out the Warp Pipe Schedule! Maybe we'll see Wario again.

Happy Mar10 Day 10th Anniversary!

Remember that time runs out faster this Mario Day so be sure to set your clocks ahead to anticipate it.While this is the 10th Anniversary of Mario Day for me, sadly nothing extra special is planned for today. Due to a lack of establishments being capable of returning a phone call, sadly the visit to the Children's Hospital still has no set date and our fundraising event at Game works isn't happening either.
While this is a big damper on our wanting to help so many kids in need, we'll still at least hit the streets to bring a smile to those wemeet. While there is not time or order, the brothers are planning to stop at Arby's in Grayslake, Sam's Club in Gurnee, Glow Golf in Hawthorne Mall, perhaps a bowling alley, and wherever the next pipe takes us.

The Year of Luigi!
Posted 12 years agoHello! It's-a me, Mario! I know I know, I bet yous-a expecting Luigi to post on something like this, but he'sa busy with everything coming... you know so many roles to portray and all.
So anyway, I'm-a so proud of my little bro. After all this time, he finally getting his recognition. Now you see, many people a think I'm-a selfish cause I'm-a always in the spotlight. This isn't the case. For 30 years Luigi has-a had my back whenever I needed him. There's-a no one I'd trust more at my side. Even though he may be a bit timid at times, any time I'm in a bind, he's the first to jump up and come to my aid.
Just-a look at the Gamecube, that was-a Luigi's system if you ask-a me. Luigi's Mansion was his first REAL game where he over came his fear to come rescue his big-a bro! He, he still won't let that picture thing down...
Anyway, with a return to Luigi's Mansion, Super Luigi U DLC, and of course joining me for a new Mario & Luigi and hitting the putting green. I want to make it a known... Mario fully supports the Year of-a Luigi!!! Congrats-a bro!

So anyway, I'm-a so proud of my little bro. After all this time, he finally getting his recognition. Now you see, many people a think I'm-a selfish cause I'm-a always in the spotlight. This isn't the case. For 30 years Luigi has-a had my back whenever I needed him. There's-a no one I'd trust more at my side. Even though he may be a bit timid at times, any time I'm in a bind, he's the first to jump up and come to my aid.

Super Bros For Charity!
Posted 13 years agoHello! It's-a me, Mario!!! I know we've been quiet for a little time now, but I'm-a back with something important I wish to share. Some of you may not know, but I don't just go to Cons dressed as Super Mario. Every March 10th is Mario Day where we go around the local towns interacting with families at everyday places, making people laugh and bringing a smile to their faces, especially kids.
We love making people happy and being able to brighten someone's day, even if that's the one and only time we'll ever meet them. This coming March will mark 10 years since I myself first put on the red hat and white gloves, and both Luigi and I want to make a huge difference this year.
While we are currently setting up for a visit to our local children's hospital in April, we also want to be able to help kids nationwide, but we need help. We discovered the Hope for Henry Foundation that shares our goal: Bringing happiness and hope to sick children across the country through the power of super heroes!
While even our Warp Whistles can't let us be at all the children's hospitals across the country, by donating and giving support to this organization, it will allow us to be able to help more kids than we could alone. If you can donate, great! If you can't but can help pass the word, great! Let's be honest, us furries spend a lot of money on silly things, like simple sketches we'll forget about in 3 months and shinies just to name a few. But we've also demonstrated what good we can do when we work together!
We've established our online charitable fundraiser with the help of Razoo. We've done our research and have chosen this site as our host for a couple reasons. While the smallest donation you can make is $10, Razoo has NO fees for donating and actually gives the highest percentage to the charity. Our goal is to raise $500 by the end of March. Please Donate and/or spread the word and Together, Wii Can Do It!
