My car died...
Posted 14 years agoYes, my friends, Our beloved "Grape Drank" has passed on. x3
In all truth, I'm in no mood for jokes. =|
Today, after flooring my accelerator, my Battery light came on. I thought nothing of it, since my car's electronic system always behaves badly in rainy weather.
Later this evening I went to start my car... It pulled it's "Dashboard lights don't light up and car won't start" game with me, so I moved around in the car and jostled it while trying to start it simultaneously, which thankfully worked, but that little battery light was still persistently shining.
I thought nothing of it and made made the 15 minute drive to my cousin's, where I sought advice from said cousin's husband. His exact words were "Haul ass home."
I'm glad I took his advice. My car's electronic devices (such as windshield wipers, turn signals, and other things of the sort) started to fade and slow down exponentially.
I could tell my car was about to die as soon as I pulled into my driveway. Everything was fading on the dash, and the engine was starting to sputter.
As soon as I got "Grape Drank" into the garage, she let out one last fart and passed out.
I tried to start her, but... she was already gone.
The way it looks right now, it could be the alternator, the battery, or just a short. Judging by how she died, it seemed like she was running solely on the battery's power, which was already damaged anyway, So, I'm assuming it's either the alternator, or that something was short circuiting REALLY badly. So, the way it looks right now is:
Battery: MAYBE fixable...
Alternator: No fucking way.
Short Circuit: Dry the fucker out and drive it again. x3
"Grape Drank" may be able to live again... we shall see. . . I'm just glad that I was able to be with her as she died. x3

Who likes cream of wheat?
Posted 14 years agoIf you do, I've got a recipe for you.
what you'll need:
box of cream of wheat, at least 1/3 of a cup.
1/4th cup sugar.
1 drop of vanilla
1 cup of water
3 Tbsp Butter (cold)
2 hand fulls of blueberries
1 cup of milk
pinch of salt
Do this:
combine water, sugar, vanilla, salt, and blueberries (rinsed) in a small saucepan. Over high heat, bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly with a whisk (to break up the blueberries slightly.) Keep the mixture at a rolling bubble for about 5 minutes, or until the liquid turns a rich violet color (this is important; if the liquid is not a rich color, your dish will come out appearing similar to cement in color.) Remove from the heat.
add in the 3 Tbsp of butter, and stir the mixture until the butter is mostly melted. add in the 1 cup of milk. Return mixture to the heat and bring back to a boil.
While stirring vigorously with a whisk, slowly add in the 1/3 cup of cream of wheat. reduce the heat to a low setting, and simmer everything while whisking constantly for about 2 and a half minutes, or until the mixture is thick enough for your liking.
remove cereal from the heat, dispense cereal into a bowl, let it cool, and BAM: You now have sex in a bowl... with BLUEBERRIES! =D

Posted 14 years agoSo, those of you who caught one of my latest journals will know that
sidfox and I have been trying to get a Purple Saturn SC2 running.
Today, we went back to my brother's house to drain the oil out of the car, replace the spark plugs, and replace the oil filter. My grandmother and I get there about 3 minutes after 5, and we see my brother's roommate Casey freaking about about her boyfriend buying her a canoe. We were all really happy for her... except her, and her boyfriend both parked in the way of the Saturn that needed worked on... so, as soon as she calmed down enough, we asked her to help move their cars.
Once the cars were out of the way (which actually proved difficult since Casey lost the keys to her boyfriend's car) we got to work...
there was SOO MUCH OIL in this car... I mean, I've never seen that much oil before IN MY LIFE... and I'm Italian, we go through olive oil like MAD.
So, we drained the oil, then
Sidfox felt the need to pull off all the extra wires for the neons, and the amplifier... then the neon's themselves... He went a little crazy with his Swiss army Knife... >.>
anyway, then we set out to get the oil filter off... but the oil filter wasn't coming off easily, and we needed the help of a specific pair of pliers that
sidfox did not have... so, we set off to advance auto parts, got the pliers (and another small part that we needed) got something to munch on, and went on our way.
so, we got the oil filter changed out... and we saw something funny while under the car. Some of you may remember me saying that there was an issue with the catalytic converter... well, we found out the issue: All the pipes around the catalytic converter were "Jerry rigged." Someone had taken a piece of sheet metal, wrapped it into a pipe formation around the exhaust pipe and the converter, and secured it in place with Hose Clamps. the Jerry rigged pipe was bent to kingdom come... SO, the car needs a new exhaust system strait pipe.
Then we change the spark plugs... after that was all finished up, we hooked jumper cables up to Sidfox's and my car, and we attempted to start it...
It took a couple minutes, but after awhile, it seemed that Sidfox did breathe a breath of life into the car. When the engine finally started to turn over, I swear, I could hear the Hallelujah chorus (the engine revving rendition.)
so, with a giant cloud of "burning oil" smoke, the car ran.
after some of the oil burned off, we took the car over to advance auto parts to run some scans on it... at which point the antifreeze tank started to spew hot green goodness from it's top... A new cap on that fixed the issue, and a new set of windshield wipers put the car in a good enough condition to drive home, which mind you, is a 30 min drive.
So, we set off for home, smoking just a bit the whole way there, Sidfox and my grandmother in tow.
we made it back to my house in one piece... the car runs GREAT... save for the exhaust system, and the brakes which both need a little work. thankfully I have Sidfox to help me out with this.
SO, I have a car... I still need to get it put in my name, and the license plates are not only expired, but are in the name of the owner BEFORE my brother... so, it's drivable... yet not yet drivable. (although, this will not stop me for now. ^^)

Considering opening shop for music commissions! ^^
Posted 14 years agoFinances here at my home have been tight as of late. It's nothing that our current jobs and savings can't handle, so I'm not necessarily worried.
But, just to have a little more financial security (or even just to have a little money to put away,) I'm considering opening up shop here on FA for commissions. Even though I have only a few good watchers here on FA, and I know it's going to be hard to get things going, if I can get the ball rolling I may have a shot at making a little extra cash on the side just to save for a rainy day. ^^
Considering I'm already battling to gain a clientele at the Salon, it shouldn't be hard to tack on getting customers here on FA as well. ^^
I already have a basic Idea of what I would like to charge for my work, but before I even get to the point of posting those possible prices, I want to see what my watchers think.
So, should I open up shop guys? =D

New music, and car work! =D
Posted 14 years agoSo, to all of you who haven't seen it yet, I do have a new track uploaded for your listening love. ^^
Please, if you would, give it a listen. it's my best track in a long time. ^^
Now that THAT'S out of the way... I can talk about my brother's stupidity, and what I've gained from it. xD
Just before last winter, my brother bought a Purple Saturn.
Back in the winter months, by brother was having issues with his Saturn SC2 and couldn't get the sucker started to save his life. He thought that the car had major issues, and pretty much left it to rot in his driveway.
Now, here's the fun part of the story. Before he bought the Saturn, he was driving around a "rolling dent" Sunfire with a brake issue. Now, when he bought the Saturn, he agreed to give me the Sunfire.
Now, back in the winter months, I only had a drivers permit, and I wasn't ready to take my drivers license exam, so the Sunfire was sitting in the garage... I thought "the car will be there when i get my license..." Not so much.
Back just before Christmas, my brother came home to take the Sunfire permanently. The Saturn was refusing to start. So, I handed over the keys (not to happily might I add) and let him go on his way.
During those winter months, he agreed to let me take the Saturn instead, since he didn't have the resources to take care of the issues with it. Needless to say, I was pleased. ^^
Then, 2 months later, he went back on his word saying "I'm going to trade in both cars to get a decent one."
At this point, I became utterly Livid. My thoughts were "You're going to take 2 cars, dangle them in front of me, and then pull them away? Treat me like a dog with a toy? FUCK YOU ya little flaming faggooooooot..." (I'm allowed to call him that [in my brain.] While I'm the flamer in the family, he's your typical California hippie gay boy... x3)
So, this month rolls around... he's started to change his tune a little. After going on a trip to the west coast to ride on "The Magical School Bus" and play music at various places across the west side of the country, he was simply ready to part with the car and call it a loss. (Like, literally, go on craigslist, and tell someone "just take it, I don't want paid, just get it out of my sight")
This is where I slip in and say "Ok, if you're going just call it a loss, at least let me get the thing out of your driveway for you. I have a mechanic friend [
Sidfox] who can help me fix the thing over time... I'll work on getting it out of your driveway for you if you'll just let me have it.
He agreed.
And so the fun begins. I immediately make plans with
SidFox. Now, Sid lives an hour away from my brother's home, while I live 30 mins away, so meeting up was a little tricky.
The first set of plans fell apart due to issues.
We tried again the next day... again, life slaps us like a bitch, and we can't take a look at the car due to issues.
We make plans for the next week... The plans prove shaky, but even though stormy weather and issues with mechanic school put us behind 2 hours, we were able to get together and figure out what was wrong with the car.
Problem with the car: my brother's maintenance habits. He seems to feel that whenever the car is having an issue, the best solution to the problem is "put a quart of oil in it."
The engine was filled to double it's capacity with oil. THAT'S why he couldn't start it.
So, Sid feels that with the right amount of oil, some new spark plugs, some "seafoam" and an oil filter, we can get the car running (so long as my brother's "oil issue" hasn't further damaged the already damaged catalytic converter, in which case, would make things a little more tricky...)
So, thank you Thomas. Your ignorance with cars and assholeish ways have helped me buy a car for 50$. ^^

Goddamn Indecisiveness!!
Posted 14 years agoI've gone from going to part of the con, to none of the con, to just Pittsburgh but not the con, to the WHOLE goddamn con just to make life easier.
@.@
I feel queasy...

I feel queasy...
Just a reminder to all my watchers attending AnthroCon...
Posted 14 years agoAs an update to all the individuals who know I will be at A.C., I will most likely be there from Friday to Saturday, that is unless I am unable to drive myself to the con (Just got my license today) at which point I will be staying (against my will) for it's entirety.
To those who did not know I was going, whelp, now you know. =D
I have no plans for when I get to the convention: I will be playing it by ear as far as I can see for the moment. If you would like to make plans with me, please, don't hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to exchange other means of communication with you to make it happen (wink wink, nudge nudge. ^^)
I think that's all I needed to cover.
Thanks for reading guys. ^^

... Fuck it: A.C., Here I come. ^^
Posted 14 years agoI decided, after tossing the idea around for a few weeks, that I'm going to attend A.C. Friday evening and all of Saturday. I'll probably only get a One day pass, which will work out swimmingly. ^^
Hopefully this time I will have enough sense to keep my spirits high, and my stomach full. But, I won't be going to this con if I am not financially stable enough. ^^
I'll most likely stay the night with
Zennydarkmage, but that's not set in stone. ^^
Anyone who is reading this right now: I WANT to meet you there. Please, leave me a comment letting me know how we can set something up, or send me a note with contact information. ^^

Insecurity?
Posted 14 years agoWithin the past few months, after re-evaluating a lot of things in my life, I'm really beginning to see how much my perspective on my music is generally fucked up.
I always chopped my insecurity down to "all artists feel like this sometimes."
Now I'm beginning to realize that my constant badgering for attention and critique on my music is detrimental to my ultimate goal (not to mention annoying.) The time I spend mastering (and OVER mastering) my work has become a neurotic habit, and its frustrating to a harsh degree. I've come to a point where letting things "FLOW" is almost impossible because I'm too rigid from thinking I'll fuck things up.
Fear has set in with my work (quite strongly) because I so harshly want people to enjoy what I create.
While this can be an admirable attribute, without proper moderation it can get out of hand.
I've cultivated my skill as well as I can thus far. the rest is just going to have to flow in with time.
The sooner I come to realize this, the better off I will be. ^^
So, I think you'll all agree: I need to relax with my music, not bombard it with the negative "MUST BE BETTAR!!!!!"

Updates. ^^
Posted 14 years agoSo, as most of you know, I've been doing assistant work at a salon for about 3 weeks now. My time to start the process of becoming a stylist there is coming up quickly. I got my work permit from the state to tide me over until I can take the "State Board Of Cosmetology Licensing Exam" on the 28th of June. For those of you who are not familiar with how the cosmetology profession works, here's the basic concept: Depending on your state of residence, you must complete a certain amount of hours of Cosmetology training in a certified cosmetology school prior to working in a salon (and for my case, it was 1,800 hours.) Once the course is completed, and you have the required amount of hours, documentation and proof of completed hours is sent to the State Board of Cosmetology. Once the paperwork is processed, you are given a date to take a licensure exam with the members of the board present so that they may assess your skills and see that you will not harm or injure any clients in your chair. Once a Written and a Practical exam are completed, you receive your scores stating whether you've passed or failed, and (If you've passed) are soon thereafter presented with your license.
Now, June 28th is quite a ways away... SO, I did the smart thing and applied for a work permit with the state so that I could practice my trade BEFORE the test, rather than sitting on my lazy ass for 2 months doing nothing (... well, actually, in reality, my boss would have let me assist in her salon & do some services on clients with or without the permit, but, that's beside the point.)
Now, that's life in general. What I would REALLY like to touch up on is the one thing that those of you on FA experience the most from me: My music.
After starting work at the salon, and after seeing my life spark into motion so quickly, my music has taken a hell of a sharp turn toward where I'd like it to be. ^^ Albeit, the durty Dub style mixes aren't exactly what I want to see from myself in the long run (because I'd prefer a smoother, professional trance style) but it's a HELL of a step up from my earlier work. ^^ I don't see myself really doing anything overly productive with my music anytime soon though: My mind in the area is too unstable, whishy washy, and hard to control, not to mention the fact that my mastering skills need a lot more fine tuning before I will be willing to let myself go pro. ^^ As of right now, I'm going to let my Hair design work support me, and keep my music cooking away on the back burner (versus on the counter slowly losing it's heat.)
I DID recently open up a bank account that allows for email transfers of funds, among other ways to wire cash to people, so the purchasing of commissions may be possible (once I'm stable in the salon) and doing music commissions will be possible as well (In the future that is; I do not plan on letting anyone commission me just yet.)
Alright, jumping back to salon talk, as I was telling you all earlier, I will soon be a full fledged stylist in my salon. Here's how that's going to work: The salon where I work is a booth rental setup, meaning that each stylist pays for their chair and styling area. Booth rental at this salon is 100$ weekly. Along with this, the salon supplies only shampoo and conditioner, and does not supply styling products, hair color, or any other tools or supplies. These supplies are all my responsibility to account for, and i pay out of pocket for each item. All in all, looking at it from a financial perspective, I'm basically opening up a small business from my own pocketbook.
Thankfully, Sherry, our lead stylist and owner, is putting me through on a Commission-assisting basis to cover my booth rental. What that means is that when I'm not with a client, I will be assisting Sherry with 'Her' clients with a pay of 5$ per hour. When I am with a client, I go off the assisting clock, do the work, then Sherry and I split the cost of the service 40%-60% me me pocketing the 60%. Once I build up enough of a clientele to support a 100$ booth rent fee & myself simultaneously, the commission plan will cease to exist, and HOPEFULLY I'll be to busy to assist Sherry. x3
I already know that this is going to work out well: while only working 15 hours a week and doing a single client that week, I was able to pull in over 100$. Throw in a few extra hours and a few more clients and that number significantly multiplies. Add that to living at home with no exterior expenses (other than light help with utilities and gas) and you have the formula for MAXIMUM saving. ^^ I can have a thriving business in 1.5 years if I play my cards right. ^^
SO, that's my life. With my optimistic perspective from what's happening, you all can expect some of my best music to come soon. ^^ I can't think of anything else to post on (save for the fact that my brother is visiting from Idaho, my other brother is an ASS [which is why I now call him Tom-ASS] I won't be going back to SO-cal anytime soon [to live that is,] I'm starting to pull furries out of the wood work [which has been GREAT] and I've still yet to get a car & license [which will happen soon]
So, that's it! I hope to talk to you all soon. If you have any questions about me, my life, or anything else, feel free to drop a comment, drop a note, drop a shout, or drop a bomb. x3
Good day to you all! ^^

Employed 'Yote is Employed. ^^`
Posted 14 years agoMy hard work in school is finally paying off.
I graduate from Raphael's School Of Beauty Culture I.N.C. (The local cosmetology school) In a week's time. After that, I get a temporary work permit (which will be put to use in the salon where I've acquired employment) that will serve me my ability to work until I go to the "State Board Of Cosmetology" in Columbus Ohio to take my State Board Exam. Once I pass, I will get my license to perform Cosmetology Services in the state of Ohio. This Yote will be a legal cosmetologist!! =D
... Yes, I'm THAT much of a fag.
Now, Most of you already know that I've found a salon to work at (called Sherry Gordon Salon.) For the past few days, I've been assisting around the salon in attempt to learn the layout of the place, and to help in figuring out how things are run. It's been really fun working in this place. Everyone seems nice enough thus far, but we'll see how that goes in the future.
Now, Sherry has actually given me a good deal for my booth (and anyone who has experience with salon work will know what I'm talking about.) Sherry Gordon Salon is a booth rental salon, meaning that each stylist has to pay a monthly, or in this case, weekly fee to keep their place in the salon. Since I'm fresh meat to the Cosmetology industry, and I do not have a stable clientele, she's going to be starting me on a Commission basis, meaning that for each service I render she takes 40% Of the cost of the service. This is actually a GREAT setup for a young stylist like myself (and with the cash that I will make assisting in my downtime, the financial setup with be perfect.) Once I build up my clientele, I will switch to a 100$ weekly booth rental. ^^

Posted 14 years agoSo! Today, I was a little bit late for class (due to me checking FA in the lobby on my phone [because i just recently got data on it] before class) and i couldn't attend theory. So, I had to sit at one of the salon stations on the clinic floor and keep myself busy until class let out. Not thinking, I pulled my phone back out and started filtering my FA submissions. My instructor didn't take too kindly to me using my phone on the clinic phone [AGAIN] so, she sent me home. x3 I, being the prideful sonofabitch I am, didn't want to have to call someone for a ride (since i don't drive) and have to tell them that the school threw me out for a day (and hear the bithing that would ensue from them...) So I started walking to the mall 15 mins away. I'm now sitting in front of starbucks cleaning out my submission inbox praying to god security doesn't throw me out for "loitering.." X3 THANK YOU FA, for giving me a day off from school, but couldn't you have at least given me money for shopping? xD

I HATE TOOTH PAIN... Dx
Posted 14 years agoOk, so for the past week or so, I have been experiencing pain in my left front tooth, and the tooth directly to the left of it. I thought it was just pain due to an exposed nerve, since I chipped both of these teeth about a year ago...
On Sunday, the pain started to extend into my gum. It was then that I realized that this was not just an exposed nerve, but an infection.
I went to a dental clinic for individuals without insurance, income, or Medicaid, thinking "well, maybe I just need an antibiotic, and all will go back to normal, right?" How naive...
They started with X-rays... and finished with them as well.
I have 2 abscess's present in the gum, which confirms that I have an infection, but here's the kicker: I need to have root canals done on both of these teeth, since the pulp of the interior of my teeth was infected (the infection started in the teeth, and worked it's way up.)
Now I need to go on a wild goose chase to find an Endodontic specialist that will take a client that has no insurance, and needs help with payment... Psssssssssh, yeah, I'm dreaming. x3
I did get a prescription for an antibiotic to get me by until I find an endodontist. I didn't have the cash on hand to buy the antibiotic at 10 am, so I thought I had to wait for my mother to return from work to help me out at 5PM. She got home around 5:20, grabbed the prescription, and left at 5:30. She goes to Giant Eagle's (Locally owned supermarket franchise) pharmacy, where she knows she can get the antibiotic for free.
2 hours later, I'm in pain, pissed off at these people for taking forever, and IMing everyone on my Live messenger buddy list profanity, all while on the brink of tears... x3 Fail, right?
I made the mistake of texting my mother in the midst of this pain as well... I ended up venting...
When she got home, I got an earful...
she hadn't eaten in a few hours, so she and I were BOTH on edge...
fun... x3
Mother ate a whole roast chicken, and became diffused.
I have 600mg of Ibuprofen and antibiotics coursing through my system, so I'm semi-diffused.
Now I just have a root canal to look forward to.
fuck.
fail.
shit.
twat?
... yeah, twat.

Happy Fu*king birthday to me. x3
Posted 15 years agoSo, last years birthday was great: I looked forward to switching my age on here to 18 and switching off the mature art blocker, I became an adult and got a hell of a lot more freedom in the world, and my birthday was 'special.'
Turning 19... Well, It blows in comparison. x3
I never really thought I would make it this far in life. =O So, as a present to myself, I nuked my Submissions to get all the messages to stop hanging over my head, nommed on Bavarian Cream Doughnuts, and hung out with my red head Tiffany... Whoo.
I DID get to talk to a few of my friends in Clarkston W.A. who I never really get to talk to anymore... it was actually quite refreshing. ^^ My friend Kitty was able to remember my birthday... it actually made me feel quite special. =D
So, that's been my day. If I didn't have to be up at 8 am for school this morning, it probably would have been... even more terrible. x3
Alright, time to change my age on here again... I'm feeling old...
I kind of wanna be 16 again... at least back then I THOUGHT I knew the world inside out and had a little more self confidence. x3

I'm so bad...
Posted 15 years agoI'm browsing FA at my aunt's house... With children running around. x3
So, I decided that it would be better for said children's psyche if i just updated my journal.
So, Life has been going. My holiday was fair. My haul for gifts was as follows: One Package of Ferraro Rochier truffles, One bag of my grandmother's famous milk chocolate butterscotch peanut clusters, One 25 dollar gift card to Applebees, One FUZZY BLANKET, and one bottle of cologne that I have already lost... =/ This year was a better year. x3
New year's day is fast approaching, and I have 2 family birthdays to celebrate... They will prove to be interesting I'm sure. ^^
School has been better than usual. ^^ I only have until April until I'm free of the place called Raphael's (and for those of you that don't know, that's my cosmetology school.) After that, I'm off to Columbus to take my state board exams to become a licensed Cosmetologist.
I have to say, it's good to know that I am One of the few furry cosmetologists in the world... I mean, as if a coyote tawny owl cougar Ethiopian wolf hybrid weren't rare enough, I had to be a hair stylist too. x3
Anyway, things are going pretty well... although, my copy of FL is still on the fritz, and my original crack no longer works correctly, so, that's a bummer. x3 If anyone can get their hands on a crack, please, send it my way, alright? ^^
That's all for Michia Elvelian News. ^^ If any of ya'll wanna contact me, please, note me, comment me, or catch me on one of my IM services (all of my handles are posted on my profile.) Talk to ya'll soon!! ^^

What I DO know is that there is a possibility that some personal information in the NOTES section of the site ended up compromised.
I have one thing to say about this; Your shit was never safe on the internet to begin with.
Hell, the world itself is not safe. You could walk outside tomorrow and some person who escaped from the insane asylum could run up to you and jab you with a spork in your eye.
That's life. Sometimes you get jabbed in the eye, some days you decided to wear sun glasses.
Keep your personal shit personal.

My ankle hurts. +100 watchers nao!!
Posted 15 years agoI was running in a parking lot, and my foot decided that it didn't want to be stepped on anymore, so it moved to the side, and let my ankle take my weight... not fun.
I'll be going to the hospital tomorrow to get it checked out.
So, I'll be stuck in bed for a little while. ^^ Feel free to hit me up on Live messenger if you don't already have me added. That information is posted right in my contact information. ^^
Also, I have officially hit 100 watchers.
Cy-B was Lucky number 100. They actually noticed before I did... >.>
I should do something special for them... *Keeps that in the back of his mind.*
ANYWAY!!
If ya'll didn't already know, I do have a WIP preview out.

That's about it.
I'll let you all know the state of my ankle as soon as i get it diagnosed. ^^

OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THIS!!!
Posted 15 years agoHello People of Furaffinity!
Posted 15 years agoThis is Michia Elvelian coming to you live from the other side of the rainbow!! ^^
So, I just realized that I really haven't updated you guys on my life as of late (Not that anyone really cares too much about little old me anymore, [which means that I'm sure to surprise you ALL when I just randomly show up in California again, running amok] but that is irrelevant.)
Life has been Up and down, although not at the same "roller coaster" rates as before. Good days and bad days come and go, but I still find myself mentally on stable ground. Cosmetology school has become a building ground for myself, versus a battle ground where I try to destroy myself. I still have my moments of weakness on the salon floor, but, I'm getting by relatively unscathed (save for a few scratches and scabs here and there.) I still find myself learning my trade, Period. This appeals to my "Perfectionist" side, for wanting to become better at my trade at all costs, and makes my lazy side groan a bit, because I want to already be at that point at this moment. Nonetheless, I will try my best to do the best I can do beyond my flaws and lazy side. ^^ Hopefully, by the end of June next year, I will have My Cosmetology Managing license, giving me the invitation, and freedom to work on my own form of this trade, mastering that which comes to greet me.
Where I'm going after I get to this point of freedom, I'm still unsure. I've been granted an invitation to live in Pennsylvania with a furry friend that I stayed with at AC (Even though my goal is to head west, and this would be back tracking. I am still considering it though [like a slingshot.]) I haven't had any (REASONABLE) offers to help me get back out west as of yet, so, until that point comes, I'll have to assume that getting back out to my "promise land" will have to be done on my own, with my own resources, and my own will. But, In the end, who knows? I may get a good standing Salon gig here in my hometown, and I may...- OH FUCK NO, I THINK I BLEW MY MIND OPEN TOO MUCH THERE!! I'm NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT STAYING HERE!! DX (For the record, I still hate my hometown, but it hated me first, I swear!!)
Ah, the future holds so much mystery. I'm willing to flow with the tide now that I see that most people wouldn't be swayed either way, if I stayed, or if I left, If I come, or if I stay away. I guess you could say that my future relies more on the stars than my own choice (because even I know that No one truly knows what they want, or what they need; I am not excluded from this analogy.) We will have to see what comes.
Musically, I've been Ok to say the best. Every day I still think about those requests that I promised. That was over a year ago now, I do believe... Out of all of them, I think I finished One song, poorly; I completely missed the concept of what the receiver wanted. I still have 2 other songs in my library that need worked on, and I still haven't finished them... I am NOT making a good name for myself on FA, Am I? ^^;;; Well, this little experiment just proves that I am DEFINITELY not ready enough, or mature enough to start taking commissions for my work, let alone even give out requests... Well, We'll see what happens with this. I still plan on working on those requests that I started. Even if it takes another year to get it done, I will finish it all. On a lighter note, I have been actively composing recently, almost as much as I use to back in my younger days. Things will start to look up even more soon, I know it.
In other material news, I now have a car coming my way: A red 1995 Pontiac Sunfire with a giant dent in the back right quarter panel!! I'mma dribe a rollin DENT!! ;D
As soon as I can obtain my Drivers License, I will be able to take the little Sunfire into my possession. I do believe that my mother said that she would work something out for insurance on the car until I got out of school, which is AWESOME considering that my mother usually makes me work for that kind of stuff (Literally; she was telling me that I needed to have a job to pay for insurance before I could drive... Funny how you can get a job without transportation of your own, right?) Like I said: I'm really happy that I can have this taken care of until I can take care of it myself. ^^ So, in good time, this coyote will be mobile!!
that pretty much covers everything.
I hope that No one Tl:dr's this... ^^

Where is link of the day? + NatGeo hates Coyotes (kind of)
Posted 15 years agoSo, first off, whatever happened to the "Link of the day" here on FA? I kind of miss it. If anyone has any information about this missing link of the day, please contact Michia Elvelian at this journal.
So, I've been watching Nat-Geo WILD all day today. I've especially taken a liking to "Expedition Wild" Which presents new episodes every monday (that I never get to because my grandmother is a stubborn old goat [literally, she's a Capricorn] that doesn't like anything without some form of 'DRAMA.') Thankfully, today, there were 3 episodes in a row up for watching, so I sat back, and enjoyed.
As always with these nature shows, I always sit on edge hoping to catch a small glimpse of a coyote on the screen. Awhile back, I pondered the subject of why Coyotes are not featured (or featured well) in any documentary shows on cable. Now, mind you, if you ever hear about coyotes outside of genuine factual research, you'll always come to find some form of negative news attached to it (coyotes have made a bad reputation for themselves in some aspects)
Unfortunately for me, today I was granted that glimpse: 2 coyotes that were "supposedly" attempting to kill a large fawn of some sort (and I can't seem to remember what the hell it was for the life of me, but the mother of the child looked like some form of deer. I think...) Our nature boy host was REALLY playing up the drama of the moment as well, saying that the coyotes were "Hunting" the fawn (which kind of made me think of Eddie Bondo... [prodigal summer reference])
So, negative coyote perspective: 1
Coyotes: Nothing. x3
Oh well: When coyotes take over the world, after having been fortified by their numbers (which tend to grow larger when they are hunted,) they'll make a better name for themselves... I Hope... >.>
