Just before Christmas the ocremix Wild Arms album should be out, which I have been eyeing for a good two years now. Oh my god yes please do continue to feed my Wild Arms addiction.
And not too long after I am hoooooping to be treated to the DKC3 album. Dying for these things.
Fuck presents man, remixed video game soundtracks.
But also, buy me presents. My soul needs them.

First off.... Rules!

1. I wear boxer briefs. Why is that not a typical option when everyone goes BOXERS OR BRIEFS LOLOLOL and then I have to go neither or both and no one gets it.
2. I'm colorblind. No, I'm not lying, even if I was able to tell you that that bright neon yellow highlighter was yellow. No, I don't see in black and white. No, I don't see through colors. No, I will not tell you what color that thing you're pointing at is. And no, I don't particularly want to spend the next half hour explaining to you the magical color warped world I live in.
3. I really like wearing socks. It's kind of hard to do anything without them.
4. People might tell you that I'm mean, but it's only if you deserve it. If you don't care about yourself, I'm not going to. If you don't tell me about your problems, don't expect me to care enough to help. And if you just do blatantly stupid or ignorant things, I don't know why you expect me not to call you out on them and try to fix them.
5. By the same logic, if you actually try at things, act like someone who has an education, and don't think it's cute to go all mysterious about issues you're trying to get me interested in, we'll get along great. Just don't ever take anything or anyone too seriously, and that includes yourself.
6. I love Wild Arms. Everything Wild Arms. It's an obsession. I mean, aside from the 4th game. That one sucked. But I still have to love it.
7. I play scrabble. All the time on my phone vs. everyone ever. God it's an addiction.
8. I'm too lazy for my own good when it comes to anything that matters, but I'm working on it. Lazily.
9. I'm way too susceptible to cheesy pick up lines and the hopeless romantic type stuff. I guess it's a good thing most people nowadays are really bad at that, or I'd be falling for everyone I talk to.
10. I'm in love with Jennifer Aniston and Hayden Panettiere. It's true, and not shameful at all. They're hot.
11. I hate watching movies. Unless they are comedies or have something else in them that's holding my attention, I tend to zone out and get bored. You'd better do something else during the movie to keep me entertained or let me bring my own stuff or I'll quit.

Or when they would be a little trickier about it and they started putting up certain requirements to getting the free art so that only people who paid attention and read carefully would get the art.
Still some people would be like: "Hey! I'll draw free art for people. Post refs and whatever characters I like will get drawn~"
Those were all okay things. I liked those things. Then some day some idiot decided it would be a good idea to use free art to self-promote.
"LOL HAY GUIZE. POST A STUPID JOURNAL NO ONE CARES ABOUT ADVERTISING THAT I AM GOING TO GIVE OUT FREE ART. I'LL PICK THREE PEOPLE FROM THE ENTRIES TO DRAW LOLOLOL"
So then everybody started doing these journals. All the goddamn time. It's really annoying.
Just ten somewhat popular artists posting these will end up filling my journal inbox with endless spam. Because for each of these artists, assuming...say...50 people decide to go for it... that's a lot of useless shit.
Ten artists giving out three pictures each and getting a minimum of fifty people posting journals about this to get an entry. That means there will be at least 500 journals nobody wants to read for just thirty pictures to be drawn. And every time someone posts one of these journals, chances are someone else reads them and decides they'll enter as well.

I used to enjoy going through my journal inbox. There would be quality journals and they would be easy to spot and make FA fun. But now this shit is just getting out of hand and pissing me off.

Solstice! People don't remember this game so much but holy god I loved it. Even if I only ever got one piece of the staff. Ever.

I was hoping I would make it more than two questions into this before I started answering with WILD ARMS WILD ARMS WILD ARMS. But I guess I didn't. Beatrice from Wild Arms 3. She is just... the most amazing thing. Especially when she goes all dream demon with the roses and shit. Volsung takes a close second, from Wild Arms 5.
3 - A game that is underrated:
I'm going to go all Wild Arms again. If you're in America it's not very loved. Apparently people like it more in Japan or something? I mean they must but nobody ever seems to even know it here.
4 - Your guilty pleasure game:
I used to love Karaoke Revolution so much omg. When I was like 8 I thought I was going to be a professional singer because look at me getting perfect scores singing like Dido bitches.

Yulie's just... well okay. She's an orphan who was tortured and experimented on her whole life and watched a bunch of her childhood friends turn into mutants or die or both. And her brother kind of turned evil and wants to kill all of her new friends. I still hate everything she is but she has good reason.
Every single adult character is also completely arrogant until they're about to die, at which point they act like saints and praise the protagonists for being youthful and "good."
The only good characters in the game are Belial, Fiore, and Asia. And only because they're insane. I dig that shit.
7 - Favorite game couple.
Garrett and Elmina (Wild Arms 1 this time!) Not that I want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't played it and wants to play it but...oh yes I do. No one cares I will rant a little. They're all in love in the beginning working together to protect Arctica until Alhazad and his baddies come destroying shit in their castle. Garrett and Elmina are the last of the guards who survive the onslaught and make it to the castle gates. Garrett gets wounded and Elmina uses her ribbon to tie around his wounds and then she pretty much sacrifices herself to Alhazad in order for Garrett to escape and tell Filgaia what happened, saying that the ribbon she gave him was pretty much a promise that they'd see each other again. Later down the line, Garrett has become Jack and Elmina has been experimented on by Alhazad and turned into Lady Harken. Jack now wears the ribbon as a tie for his ponytail. There's a tiny bit of a scene in the opening video that shows Jack and Lady Harken doing battle, and then it shows the ribbon falling to the ground, which is sad. Neither of them really remember things too great or recognize each other for a while, but eventually Jack figures it out. There's a pretty good moment between them in Arctica castle later on, and Lady Harken dies. I don't remember if she kills herself or if they do it or what, but she doesn't survive. Then if you do a side mission to get Dan Dairam, who is the guardian of time, he brings her back. When you go to Milama and enter the inn afterwards, you get a scene with Elmina and Jack. She's working as a waitress at the inn now, but she remembers nothing at all from before. Jack's okay with this though he just wanted her back alive ;-; And then he takes the ribbon she gave him from the intro in Arctica and finally gives it back to her, but it's pretty anticlimactic because she doesn't even remember their love or that the ribbon is hers or why she gave it to him.
8 - Best soundtrack.

The one I mentioned above where Jack gives Elmina back her ribbon. Also the end of Wild Arms 5 got me a bit. Also the end of FFXIII. I'm lame I know.

I have to say that I really really enjoy Blur. It's just all so well put together and the concept is refreshing and well executed so that it's constantly enjoyable. Never wasted so much time on a racing game.
11 - Gaming system of choice.
I like my PS3 a lot but the PS2 worked better considering my poor internet connection. For all intents and purposes, though, I use my DS the most.
12 - A game everyone should play.

In Wild Arms 3, Beatrice has an attack where she kind of picks up the entire world (or the moon? I don't know, Filgaia is desolate enough to look like the moon) and she just cuddles it a little bit and everyone is somehow slammed to the ground and takes damage.
^Those three things.

Solstice! People don't remember this game so much but holy god I loved it. Even if I only ever got one piece of the staff. Ever.

I was hoping I would make it more than two questions into this before I started answering with WILD ARMS WILD ARMS WILD ARMS. But I guess I didn't. Beatrice from Wild Arms 3. She is just... the most amazing thing. Especially when she goes all dream demon with the roses and shit. Volsung takes a close second, from Wild Arms 5.
3 - A game that is underrated:
I'm going to go all Wild Arms again. If you're in America it's not very loved. Apparently people like it more in Japan or something? I mean they must but nobody ever seems to even know it here.
4 - Your guilty pleasure game:
I used to love Karaoke Revolution so much omg. When I was like 8 I thought I was going to be a professional singer because look at me getting perfect scores singing like Dido bitches.

Most like? Uhh...I don't think I've ever identified much with any one more than any other. But who do I wish I was? Volsung. Volsung so hard.
