Commission Refunds: The Results of an Unfortunate Week
Posted 5 years ago~THE LAST WEEK~
This last week has been a gaggle of unfortunate financial things.
As many of you know who watch my Pictario streams, I have been offering severely discounted commissions to help pay for an unexpected Emergency Room bill that I acquired, brought on by sudden extremely painful blood clots that had to be removed via surgery. During my stream on March 8th, all of my commissions I had been working on for the past 7 hours, as well as another 6 hours that I did off-stream, became corrupted and lost. I still do not know what caused it: overwritten files, no previous versions available, etc. Thank you to everyone for your support and IT help during those last 2 hours: they can recount my devastation and resulting sickness. I am still torn about letting you commissioners down and losing the artwork I created for you.
Last week Monday, I was awarded my 2019 bonus for my engineering career. However, given that I am one of the newest members of the team, and thus not performing as well as the others who have been there for 20 years, my bonus was the equivalent of 5% of my annual salary...which I was only awarded 20% of due to lackluster caused by improper training and lack of management (I have had 6 managers over the last 10 months), and lack of resources to learn. That is a 1.25% annual salary bonus. I would have gotten more use out of a "Jelly of the Month Club" membership. I am in the hunt for a new career since January given these issues, but as of yet have not even been awarded an interview. I am hoping for a breakthrough soon for both my mental and physical health.
Yesterday, March 9th, I returned to work, where today I was required to drive around the Twin Cities to visit sites acquiring new optic fibers to discuss plans with construction vendors. At my 11 am visit, I believe my wallet had fallen from my coat pocket in the parking garage, where after searching in a panic in my work and personal vehicles, backpacks and bags, and even driving all the home and back to search, found it in the garage...missing $120 in cash and what I presume to be compromised and scanned credit cards, both personal and company ones that I will need to replace. The company ones will be replaced with funds directly from my paycheck.
I hate bothering people. I hate having to go back on my promises and consider myself a liar or hypocrite like the family that I grew up with. I want to be able to support myself, and others, will what I can provide. But I have to make changes.
~ STREAMING COMMISSIONS UPDATE ~
Due to the issues above, I will be reworking the current commission queue. Each commission has been taking me 2-3hrs each, where I expect each to be half that long, due to my drawing process and focusing too much on details. For $15 each, this is well below minimum wage. I would be somewhat alright with this process if I had the time: but for the next month and perhaps more my work will be assigning larger projects, many of which require me to complete both day and night shifts (such as tonight and last night, as I type this from a dusty IT room an hour away from home). The opening of the commissions was a way for me to pay for the ER bills, I want to thank everyone for their support and donations for me during these times, no matter how big or small.
I will be limiting each sketch commissions from this point to a 1-hour limit each. The results will be more equivalent to a clean sketch, rather than line art, which was my previous goal in mind. Unfortunately, I made the mistake and extended myself too far in my time of need, and I am sincerely sorry for letting you down. For reference, the new commission will look similar to this style: https://imgur.com/a/hvRAUui
>If you are not satisfied with this style of work and wish for a refund, I completely understand and I will refund you whatever amount you desire.
>If you are not interested in the art, and would like to use the money you have sent as a donation instead, it will still be going to my ER bill, to which I am both humbled and extremely grateful for everyone's generosity thus far, and anymore that people wish to contribute.
>If you are okay with this type of commission, I will continue to work on them as quickly and efficiently as possible, given my limited amount of free time.
I will be reaching out to everyone who has a commission with this information as well, but I do not have the contact information for a few folks who acquired slots over the stream and did not include a username or contact in the Paypal information. Please reach out to me if I do not reach you first. You may reach me at any of these locations:
Furaffinity: Mietere
Twitter: SkollNRag
Telegram: RaggyRoo
Discord: Mietere#9405
I do not have any slots for commissions available at this time given the time constraints and large queue I must complete as a priority. However, if you would still like to still donate, please reach out to me and I can send you Paypal information (I would post publicly, but I have seen accounts suspended by it before). If things turn for the better, we may see what slots the future may hold, but at this time there are no plans,
~ LOOKING AHEAD FOR THE YEAR ~
My plans for this upcoming year for the art side of my life, outside of commissions of course, was to start offering merchandise both online and a dealer or artist booth at upcoming conventions. I have been designing and organizing products such as Body Pillows, Mousepads, coaster and magnet sets, prints, stickers, and more. I have been getting positive feedback with the products thus far and was excited to start opening tables to meet you all in person. With the current viral epidemic, those in-person sales will be on hold until further notice. I am certain things will improve, but for my own health and others (due to my shoddy immune system, given the recent surgery and sickness), I am putting it on hold. I am planning on offering previews and discounted pre-orders on products in the upcoming months, and I am very excited to be able to share them with you.
I will be delivering more into Blender and exploring what it has to offer, as I have been enjoying the higher quality results and animations that have resulted from a better engine, and the positive reception from them. I may be offering commissions for these in time, but at this time I still do not create the models and have to give credit to people far smarter than me to lend their advice and time for helping me climb the Blender learning cliff with their exceptional kindness.
If you have any other comments or questions, please let me know so I can share it. Thank you for all of your support through this. I am doing my best to improve and make you folks proud.

Emergency Stream Commissions - CLOSED
Posted 5 years agoGET YOUR SLOT AND WATCH THE STREAM HERE: https://picarto.tv/Mietere
Howdy folks,
For those of you who follow my Twitter, you may be aware of this deal I am hosting. I will be opening up emergency stream commissions this week for $15 each to help pay the bill for my recent unexpected ER visit.
(If you didn't see it, go follow my Twitter, nerd. I post WIP, new stuff, and more I don't post on FA, and much more frequently: https://twitter.com/SkollNRag )
$15 STREAM COMMISSIONS:
I will be creating stream commissions this week for a base price of $15 for each slot. Each slot will be a line art digital drawing of one character, and additional characters can be added for another slot price. I am extremely thankful for anyone who is willing to donate more than the base price, since it will all be going directly to helping with my health.
I will be streaming several times this week into the weekend, starting after 18:00 CT, so everyone can get a chance to stop by. I have attached some stream commission examples (including new ones posted daily at the end of the thread) here: https://twitter.com/SkollNRag/statu.....816512000?s=20
If you cannot make a stream, don't worry! I can still work on your piece offline ^^
If you are interested, please dm me on Twitter, FA, Telegram, or in stream. I will need:
-Character Ref
-Pose/Scene
Once I have received your Paypal payment and a note identifying you, you will get a slot in the queue. Comms. will be done in order of the queue. Each takes an hour or two, and I will be sending them out on the weekend so I can clean them up offline. I may not get to yours the same day, but you can keep track of your place on the queue as I work each day.
If you had other commission ideas or questions, please reach out to me: I am willing to answer questions and make plans that work best for both parties!
Wait, What Emergency Room visit?
On Friday (Feb 21th), I was feeling fine most of the evening, just tired from a week of work. At about 1AM, I experienced sudden severe lower body pain. Unsure what to do, I drove myself to the ER. After tests, they found that an exercise injury the previous weekend caused my nerves to kink in my lower and form blood clots, resulting in swelling and blockage of blood flow. Lots of pain & many incisions later, the hard blood clots (they kind of look like pomegranate seeds) were removed: fortunately before they migrated somewhere more traumatic through the veins. I was there until about 9AM the next morning.
As of today (Tuesday, Feb 25) I am back to about 60% full health, but I still have sharp pain and soreness through my back and lower half that makes sitting and walking painful. Which are kind of important daily practices.
All commission funds will be going towards the ER Bill to help alleviate the financial pain, while I battle the physical pain. Any donations are more than welcome and extremely appreciated
If you have any questions, comments, or more, feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to answer. Thank you all so much for your help! <3

"The Longevity of a 'Mietere": MFF Recollection
Posted 6 years agoMidwest Furfest has given me a clearer view of the furry community, but it is not a positive light.
The event was mostly handled well. Vendor and Art areas were a nice size, food was accessible, people control and flow seem to be handled well. The police guiding traffic for people to cross from the hotels was very helpful for everyone's safety. On the down side, the panels were mostly uninteresting or a weird, out-there subject that appealed to a very small cliche, or just repetitive of years past. Registration was a mess: I was expecting a long line with a attendance of ~12,000, but the lines in the escalator lobby were a complete free for all, to the point where we were no longer even facing the right way because zig-zagging lanes kept merging at random in a fell swoop. The QR codes seemed to do nothing to aid in the speed of the process, but rather masquerade as a techie gimmick.
My nod of gratefulness goes to the convention staff who managed to keep 12k weird folks (mostly) in check. However, my issues with the convention were not a cause of the staff or event itself. It was the attendees.
As I have stated in my journal about a month ago when I stepped away from the furry community, my attendance at conventions will be more focused on the social aspects and seeing people I may see only once a year or for the first time, rather than pushing a brand or name for myself within the community. I may have expelled myself from the community, but I am not expelling the people I consider friends, ones that transcend an association with the community or not. But after this event, I am not sure how many of those "friends" feel the same.
Months leading up to any event are usually spent preparing plans with hotels, travel, costumes, and socializing. Promises of meeting at the convention, spending time with each other, maybe food or even just a hug, perhaps lewd experiences or happy mutual ones. Folks love to build up expectations of what they wish to do with you over those 4 days.
The event arrives. You message your friends you are there, where you are, plans you have, reiterate ideas you had together, brainstorm opportunities. But you are met with a |wall|. They are offline all weekend. They never open your messages. They leave you on read. Few will respond with weak excuses like "I am just so busy" or more empty wishes and promises of a reunion soon, yet 10 minutes later will post how bored they are on Twitter and looking for parties. All that shit cuts deep.
I understand conventions are chaos. It's usually impossible to follow an itinerary, and plans change or are moved and you may not be able to do all the things you want to. I've been attending comic, anime, furry, and nerd conventions for well over 8 years, I understand and have accepted it as the reality of a con. But there is a difference between adapting to new plans, and electing to ignore others who are trying their best to plan time with you.
The worst happens after the convention. The pictures of your mutual friends together, the posts reminiscing of all the good memories of meeting all their friends, the excitement for the next event. Then you get the messages from people who left you on read: "I wish we could have hung out!". It's like spit in your face. You have set aside plans and time and money to spend it on someone you care about enough to do all these things with, and instead they elect to ignore all that work without any excuse, because their selfish priorities come before others. That cuts the deepest.
I spent a majority of my time at the convention attempting to connect with people I considered my friends. I got some good time with a few, such as hosting a photo shoot for my Duluth furry friends or having the best (and most expensive) steak dinner of my life. But only about 1/4 of the folks who claimed they cared and had discussed plans attempted to connect with me. It seems that even though I had not let go of people I saw as friends when I left the community, those feelings were not mutual.
My wish for this journal is not to come off like a kid who was not invited to a classmate's birthday party. Rather, it is similar to receiving the invitation, then arriving with presents in hand to find they moved locations without telling you. You attempt to call and ask where they are, and they either hang up on you or share vague answers. It's the lies, the false promises, the lack of responsibility or respect of others that people continually let seep through their happy, gay, loving demeanor that is showcase as the facade for the community.
I do not know what I plan on doing going forward. I expected a large loss of followers on my art pages and a few friends when I stepped away from the furry community. Surprisingly, I continue to gain followers. But I am beginning to see more clearly the reality. The time and money required to go to a convention is not worth it to see just a few folks you still care about. At this point, even though I knew for a long time, I've confirmed that no one cares about the artist, but rather just the art and smut they create. Even when those people do horrible acts such as pedophilia and zoophilia or continuously break rules and social morals, they are promoted within the community. Or in the case of Mietere, not fulfilling a title or associating yourself with a community means you are no longer allowed to be considered a person, but rather a thing that just makes entertainment, and unable to fill the quota of the insatiable gullet that the community thrives on.
The longevity of the creator is dwindling with each excuse that fills my inbox.

Stepping back from the Furry Community
Posted 6 years agoI am sure many folks will never see this journal and will nuke it from their inbox. To those who remain, I appreciate your retention.
I am stepping back from the furry community. I have attempted to integrate myself with the community for years and years now, ever since I made my first Dragon-sona back in 2008 or so. But the more and more I integrate with it, the more disgusted I feel with myself and others around me.
I have kept many things at arm's length that I wish to indulge in over my life. Whether it be friend groups who participate in questionable behavior, sport teams that exclude or harass, or even friends and love interests who wish to use me for my money (Note: I am not rich by any means. But there are many who have feigned friendship for greed). I felt a connection immediately with the furry fandom based on how the fandom is comprised of original source material: it was not founded on a movie or game, but on people's art and creations and creativity. I loved watching that innovation and creativity thrive and have done my best to contribute what I can.
The rot was there. It always was. You don't see it at first. You meet the friendly new faces of folks and share art and ideas, spend time at an event like a convention where the drama is usually isolated or only rumors. But it keeps attaching to you more and more and you start to see it out of the corner of your eye, or hear it from across the room. It becomes abundant.
The roleplay requests. The free commission entitlement. The endless drown of thirst for more pornography. The sexual rumors. The child groomers. The nazis. The pedophiles. The zoophiles. The murderers.
A few folks talk about it. Share what is happening. Educate others on the truth with facts. Attempt to bring to light these acts in order to eradicate them one case at a time. You can't "correct" many of these folks, but you can cast them out and prove that they do not belong in a community. Serve facts to the law so they serve punishment for their actions. But a majority don't and ignore those who do.
Ignorance is the unaware state of things around them. This can be forgiven and be taught the truth. Ignoring is the knowledge of that state of things around you, and not taking action. You witness it, shrug your shoulders and claim "Welp, it's everywhere, guess I don't have a choice and just have to deal with it". When the majority of the community is not only aware of these issues and elect to ignore them instead of bringing them to light in an act to set things right, and instead turn back to their pornography and escapism behind a character...they show their action through inaction.
I cannot stand with a community that harbors such behavior. One who is aware of such actions, and chooses to pigeon hole them in favor of the next pornographic piece from their favorite artist, who themselves indulges in such behaviors. It's similar to being told the stove top is hot, and instead of avoiding it you place your hand on it and get burned. The community gets burned. And then they will claim they will not tolerate such hot stoves and will not touch them again! Yet a week later, their hand is back on that damn heater. You warn them again it is hot, and then it still gets burned. Again and again. It's utterly exhausting and hurts you to watch something you care about hurt themselves over and over again.
I will still indulge this community in some ways. I will share my art and work because it is what I always wanted to do. I will spend time with my friends I have made through this community because I have found good people who I want to help enrich their lives. I will continue to lend my hand to those who request aid or need help and approach me openly and honestly, and together we can make the people around us - and in turn the world - a better place. I will continue to bring to light those who commit atrocities in this community and beyond it because it is the right thing to do.
That's what it comes down to. Fulfill your potential. Treat everyday with honor, trust, and respect in your actions and to others around you. Action through inaction will only continue to let the rot spread. Bit by bit it will consume it before it is too late to stop it. Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it, and right now the furry fandom is stuck in that loop.
I have parted a majority of the social groups I was involved in on different medias. I will retain my FA page for art. I will retain my Telegram group chat for those who wish to chat, share art, and take the steps to better themselves and the world around them. I will also retain my Twitter for sharing art, WIPS, and more that do not make the cut for FA. I will still attend some furry conventions to spend time with the people I care about. However, my social interaction to this fandom will become slim to none. I will not show kindness to those who participate in such horrible acts, or to those who defend or ignore the problems. I may be reached via FA Notes, Twitter DM, or Telegram PM to those who have it and wish to talk.
Do the right thing. Eradicate the rot.

Life Update & Closing Commissions Until Further Notice
Posted 6 years agoHowdy everyone.
Wanted to give you guys a little update of what's going on. Over the next couple weeks I will be moving to my own apartment now that I am more settled into my full-time engineering career. The preparation, moving, and settling takes a lot of energy and time to organize and pack all my possessions up, and I do not even have that much relatively. During this time, my ability to do most art will be pretty limited, since I will be working full time and working on my apartment in the evenings. I've also been going to the gym many times each week, as well as playing hockey once a week to try and become healthier. I've been attending the gym for about 2 months now with some results beginning to show, which is positive.
However all of these new adult responsibilities and activities has significantly decreased by time to devote to Source Filmmaker and other projects, and drained my creativity. Adulting is a lot more time consuming than folks let on. Most evenings I only have a couple hours of free time before I need to go to bed to get up for the next day of early morning work.
I will not be taking many commissions anymore, and will be very limited slots available if and when I do offer them.
It is not that I don't enjoy making commissions, but it's not fair to the clients when they have to wait months for a simple animation, or to watch my own projects rot that I wished you partake in. I will be completing my current batch of commissions, and will let you guys know when I open them again in the future. By all means if you are interested in one, you can send me a note or fill out a commission sheet (found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/commissions/mietere/) and we can put you on a cue for when I do open up once again. I will still keep the commission lottery fair when I do open for them.
With the new transitions in my life, my creativity has turned more to 3D projects in real life rather than digital, most likely caused by packing and organization and spatial design of my new apartment, and including working on a new costume for myself and improving my fursuits. I have many works-in-progress for Source Filmmaker and for commissions, which will be completed as a priority over new projects.
On a tangent, I have gotten a few questions from folks about my pup stuff and my involvement in the community. I try not to spam too much pup photography on Furaffinity for you guys, and instead will post the best on here and the rest on my Twitter (https://twitter.com/SkollNRag). I do not plan on stopping anytime soon, and have found great personal joy in the community: with new friends, helping raise my self-esteem and self-image while wearing the gear, as well as finding motivation to improve myself and help those around me as well. And let's be frank, a Pup Hood makes everything better. Prove me wrong.
If you'd like to hang out with me and other fun folks, whether it be furries or macros and Pups and more, feel free to join our telegram server here: https://t.me/joinchat/ExzkNkcFMzh4qJzn4zfVoA . Hope to see you there!
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave me a comment below. Thanks!

PSA: I am not "Shiny", & here's why
Posted 6 years agoSO, TL;DR: I will not be enabling FA's donation app. I will instead being open to accepting donations at anytime with commissions or through my Paypal, at: http://Paypal.me/Mietere
Now that it has been a week since launch, and the flood of journals is tampered, I can say I am not enabling "Shinies" donations for my site. There are several reasons for this:
1) I do not trust the encryption of Furaffinity being linked to my banking.
The site was not built as a security site, but rather a photo server and forum. In addition, with the constantly changing policies of PayPal, I do not want to get blindsided by sudden fees, back payments, or other issues that they may slide in due to me simply being unaware of em.
2) As Syndrome from The Incredibles said; "And when everyone is super, no one will be."
As all of you saw, everyone and their mothers say the opportunity to say "HOLY SHIT FREE MONEY" and enabled the feature on their pages. Every artist, musician, and even watchers who do not upload anything have added it to their roster in the hopes someone will accidentally click it and drop them $5. The impact of donating to an artist you care about is extremely dampened if every single person you are watching has it enabled.
3) Donations are not lucrative.
Every time I commission someone, I will add a tip of some amount to the commission. This may be 10-30% based on how the artist communicates, creates, and behavior during the transaction, similarly as one would do with a waiter. Most don't seem to notice, some simply cover the fees Paypal uses, and some greatly appreciate it because even if it a small gesture that doesn't impact me too much, it's the right thing to do to make them happy. In response, I have gotten a tip...twice my whole life on commissions? I set up a Ko-fi for donations, similar to shinies, and got 3 donations total? I prompt all funds for my art go to help me with my education and loans and I get no reciprocation?...Why bother.

2019 Updates: Commissions and more
Posted 6 years agoWith the new year comes new changes for me in my life.
Having graduated with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and now working full time, my time for art and commissions will no longer be as frequent.
How will commissions be affected?
I plan on only taking on 1 or 2 commissions a month (depending on the commission type), and being much more selective with my process. This isn't to single people out, but rather if I have a large queue to allow me to get through them faster and to do better with those commissions in my queue.
How will other art be affected?
I have a large "posting queue" at the moment, ranging from new animations or renders or simple sketches. I try to post one a day to not flood, yet keep consistent. However I hope to do more personal art since it helps me relax after working all day, rather than working on more commissions. This includes little animations, renders, sketches, etc etc. Make sure to Follow my Twitter for the most updates of art and more: I do not post everything on FA (like sketches, quick videos, and more).
If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks!

YCH or Animation Drive Suggestions?
Posted 7 years agoHowdy everyone!
I have really enjoyed the YCH and animation drives I have done thus far: the ability to share my design and your characters with you and others for a discount makes me happy. Creating fun content to share with others for me is more important than the sale price at the end of the day. But every bit helps to encourage me to continue to make and share more! (Not to mention allow me to take on less full time work to make content for you guys)
So my question is: Are there any YCH or animation drives you would like to see and participate in? I want to make sure my content is interesting, participational, and fun for you guys. I'll keep track of some of the ideas I enjoy here as well ( " * " represent popular ideas). Thank you!
YCH IDEAS
~* 3 part growth sequence
~* 2 character slot growth
~ 2 character Macro/Micro
~ 2 character size theft, growth
~ 2 character Pup/Master
~ Booty shot
~* Interaction with Skoll/Ragnarok/Raskus

~ Xenomorph
~ Deathclaw
~ Shovel Knight
~ Argonian (Male or Female)
~ Sangheili (Male or Female)

Open for Commissions and Ko-fi!
Posted 8 years agoI wanted to let everyone know that I am still open for commissions for your art pleasure! I am continuing to find new and cool models, props, and maps for SFM and animation that I hope to continue improving in. I am also beginning to dive into Blender, so you can expect some more awesome stuff there too. Likewise, I am still offering drawing and 2D art as well. You can see all your commissioning prices and options here:

New Links and Downloads for Animations!
Posted 8 years agoHowdy everyone! I wanted to let you know that thanks to your input and resources, I have compressed all of my animations into much more reasonable sized files using Handbrake (thanks to
ctrlaltdel123 for the tip).
I have also created new links for you to download them via Microsoft OneDrive, all in one folder, so you may store them easier and use them for mobile, and less work for me overall.
Let me know if there are any issues: I will keep the alternative links up to Mega just in case.
Thanks for your continued views and support!

"Y U Do This?" (Answering your questions!)
Posted 8 years agoThis has been a very common question, worded many different ways, that have been occurring over the past few weeks as my followers have grown and I have uploaded longer and more animations. I wanted to address a lot of these, in the hopes I can clear some things up. These are all from a variety of sources, including comments, notes, and other chats and is not meant to call out any individuals.
"Why are you using Mega for your uploads? Why not Dropbox or Google Drive?"
I've explained this before, but allow me to elaborate. Mega allows me to upload, store, and allow access to anyone with a link (and decryption key) to download the files I have uploaded without being able to preview due to the site's encryption. I had started with Google Drive, but have had several of my videos removed, without my consent, starting with the Spidey-Grow video and several others that caused dead links and headaches. I also only have 15gb of space available to upload per account without paying. To avoid this, I tried using Dropbox, which is great, but only allows 2gb of space available without having to pay a $10/month fee for 1tb of space. So I settled with Mega, which allows me a free TB of storage and easy sharing. The catch is that there is no preview, and big files must be viewed with the mobile Mega app or on a desktop. I apologize for the issues, but I cannot validate $120 a year. However, I have started to use Microsoft OneDrive for your viewing convenience, and so far has been working great.
"Why don't you animate (this obscure character) or (this specific body part)"?
Since I am not currently making my own 3D models, all of the models I use must be available in the community for download from the SFM Workshop, SFMlabs, or another site. As such, if someone has not designed a character and made it publicly available, I cannot animate it. Simple as that. In terms of having a specific body part or object, many objects and models are made to be manipulated in a certain way and not beyond it. Shifting too much will make the models lose quality, create square shapes on joints, have textures overlap, or joints pinch. If you imagine an arm like a cardboard tube, too much tweaking can make it resemble the tube once you start sword fighting with it too hard and it becomes a useless flimsy tool.
"The link is broken/the file won't download!"
There is a 99% chance it is not, or if it is, I am currently uploading a new version with a new link. I check the links before I post (because I'm paranoid), and if you're having issues with the video after you have downloaded it, I can assure you it is on your side. I export all the original files as MP4 H.265 formats so they may be transferred to Flash more easily, so you may have to check which video player you are using. As I stated above, some links may not work on mobile and require your desktop. You may have to transfer the files to a different format if you wish to desire them on your mobile, but with so many different formats and sizes, I don't have the time to do that myself for everyone.
"Why haven't you animated my request yet?"
It's a request, not a commission. If I see a request I really like and have the time to do, I will indulge in it. There is no promise of me working on yours. I am a full-time student and part-time worker, so this is not my day job. If there is an animation you would love to see and want it to be done without any issues, I have commission slots available, and by paying your animation becomes a priority and I will make it.
"Do you animate ******* doing ***** with a **** ******?"
Short answer, yes. I am open to new ideas and challenges, and if you have specific questions or ideas send me a note. There are aspects I will not animate or am not able to animate due to the software restrictions, but it's better to ask then to not since I am still learning as well.
"Why does it cost that much? It's just a 30 second animation/couple page comic/etc etc!"
A typical 30 second animation can take me anywhere from 8 hours to 20 hours to animate depending on the complexity, characters, script, effects, sounds, and more. A typical drawing requires a sketch, refined sketch, line art, color, blending, shading, background, effects, and more. You are not only paying for the finished piece, but the work that goes into it. I do not charge highly for my work hours, but I do bring into consideration the value of my time and what other priorities and work I am giving up as I work.
If you have any specific other questions, feel free to comment below or send me a note. Thanks!
