[ ] They can grow extra body parts/shapeshift
[x] They are immortal (kinda? I come back if I'm eaten so ^^ but maybe not to everything)

Your character may be a bit on the boring side. Of course, this does depend, but generally if they are scoring that low, it wouldn't hurt to 'spice them up' a bit.

If your OC scored around here, then they are probably quite a well-balanced and interesting character. Those scoring in the higher end of this category may be a bit too much though.
17-26 Borderline Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu
We have a problem. You need to tone your character down. They are most likely a bit annoying to others, too.

2. I'll be writing stories after each round. The winner and loser will both have a say in what should be included, but NO adult material. I will not write anything that makes me or either member uncomfortable, and final discretion is my own.

It is magnificent. It is crazy. I was struggling to find a way to get back to Olivine when all of a sudden Rockwood - yes, Rockwood - started to glow! At first I thought he was evolving, something I've only heard of before, but sudowoodo... they don't evolve! But then I knew. I don't know how I knew, I just did. And it wrenches my heart to have let this happen, but Rockwood sacrificed himself. My hands are shaking as I remember this, but I will try to write this down, for Rockwood's sake...
As I say, he started to glow. And I tried to stop it, but something inside me wouldn't let me. I stood, transfixed, as Rockwood the sudowoodo shimmered and shone, and then five pokemon shone around him... three of the tentacool... Kenya the fearow... and Gas Bomb the Koffing... all previously deceased, they shone in a flash of light, and suddenly all disappeared. It felt like a terrible weight had been lifted off my shoulders, I knew they'd moved on. An in their place... was Wormy. I ran to him and touched him. He was solid. He let out a cry of glee and nuzzled me back. And I knew that he had come back to me.

Nuzlocke Challenge - Goodbye my Friend, it's time to Die (8)
Posted 11 years agoUnbelievable. Not a single thing went wrong these last few days. Not a single thing, until... I'll get to that later. I rescued a cow, battled Fox again, won my way up a lighthouse, got assigned a job to heal a sick pokemon... I even crossed the ocean! I made it all the way to Cianwood City. I got the medicine for the sick pokemon here. I caught four Tentacool. I even went to go see the unfinished safari zone. But then it all went wrong. There was a gym in this city, see. It was full of tough fighting type trainer's, so I went back into the water to train some. Like a plague, my tentacool stared dying. It was bizarre. I should have picked up the warnings.
I was back in cianwood, doing some exploring. And remember those unnatural dogs I saw in ekruteak? There was one here! Suicune, I think it was called. It ran off, but not before looking at me with its cold, unfaltering eyes. It was awful! Somehow that guy from the burnt tower, Eugene or something, was there. He said it was good the way suicune looked at me, but it can't be. No.
I was all set for the gym. I went in. A single karate chop. That's all it took for me to completely lose it. Wormy... Wormy is gone! :o I am left with only three pokemon, the two that have always been faithful. Fuzz Butt and Boulder, and also Rockwood, the tree that has always looked at me funny. I need you... but I can't challenge a fighting type gym with these three! I have failed... I'm sorry, Wormy. I'm sorry to all the pokemon I've lost. To Kenya, to Tasty, to Heat... I had almost forgotten about you, Heat. My starter... No... for you... I must... go on... My next step will be to go east of Ekruteak. I must find a new start. Maybe I can obtain a pokemon from Mt. Morter and beyond that will let me defeat this deathtrap of a gym...

Nuzlocke Challenge - Assault (update 7)
Posted 11 years agoYou know those cool guys in black I wrote about before? Turns out they might no be so cool. I got to Ecruteak City and it's beautiful. There's all this folk lore going around and the people here are really respectful. Except for those guys I hear are from team rocket, whatever that is. I went into a dance theater and the rocket guy was assaulting the kimono girl there!! (btw, if I'm not mistaken, she's the same lady from Ilex forest). Hula dance. Pssh. I taught him a lesson. No being men to pretty ladies. Then I went to this tower... supposedly it was really tall once upon a time, but it was all burned down now. I met Fox there, as well as the gym leader and some other weird guy. Apparently he's been chasing some dog pokemon around because they're super powerful or something. They ran away as soon as I got near them, though.
Fox was a jerk again and I taught him a lesson. Again. He seems to be getting a little more modest, if that's possible. Then I challenged the gym. It was full of dead guys!! Very creepy. I could barely see where I was going, it was so dark. But I made it to the gym leader and beat him. Only one of my pokemon died, Duchess the Drowsee. I did all I could, but she was mean looked and I ran out of potions. It happens. I realize that now. Pokemon aren't meant to live forever. They're just there for winning. I think I get what Fox means now.
Somewhere along the like I caught a spearow, to replace the one I set free. The one that probably ate my pokemon. I named it Kenya. Eventually it will be too weak to fight on and it will take the real Kenya's fate as a fallen member. Sooner or later.

Nuzlocke Challenge - Kenya (update 6)
Posted 11 years agoA lot has happened in the last few days. I have seen so many pokemon die that it doesn't even faze me anymore. Have I become heartless? Anyway, I came in contact with Fox the other day. He was as angry as ever, especially when I beat him easily. I went through Ilex forest and got this guy to teach some of my pokemon how to headbutt trees. That was cool. Then we saw that japanese women - she said she wasn't the same one but she looked similar. She was lost and so Fuzz helped her find her way. I was really proud of my Furret then.
On the other side of the forest was Goldenrod city. It was huge! I've never seen such a bustling city in my life. There was a game corner there, super fun, and I actually got a Dratini! It was awesome. The gym leader there was a pushover. She actually cried when I beat her, and she wouldn't even give me my badge until I forced her to. But my geodude is so close to evolving now. There was also a name rater guy. He didn't like any of my pokemon names, the jerk. But it's okay. He helped me rename some of them so they have cooler names now. Like the first two pokemon I actually caught with a pokeball... who are still alive... Yay! Oh, and did I mention I saw Lyra underground at Goldenrod too? <3 Er...
There was this guy who gave me a pokemon. A spearow named Kenya. The pokemon was holding some mail and he wanted me to deliver it to a friend. I took the pokemon, but no promises were made.
Let's see... oh, there was a bug catching contest. I caught a Venonat. But it was eaten by a bird pokemon later. Figures. I didn't even catch the bird. And I only got a glimpse. It looked like a spearow. Sigh. There was also this thing called the pokeathlon... that was fun. And then there was this tree. A weird tree that danced. Crazy, right? Well I got a squirtbottle from the flowershop in Goldenrod and it turns out this tree didn't like water. It attacked me! Almost killed Wormy too. But I captured it, and he works for me now. Somehow that doesn't seem like such a good thing anymore...
On that note, I stumbled across the guy that I was supposed to take the spearow to. He was sleeping. I could've just walked away and kept it, but I figured, y'know, why put the Spearow through the pain of being on my team? Something bad was sure to happen to it sooner or later. I did the kindest thing I've ever done. I spared Kenya's life. I woke the guy and gave him the pokemon and the letter. And he gave me Snore. Kind of a dumb, but at least I can sleep easier at night knowing that I saved one pokemon. Go free and live, little birdy.

My life's a mess. Nuzlocke Challenge - The Horrible Hive (update 5)
Posted 11 years agoThey're all dead (6). My whole party. Including Heat, my starter. ... I had no trouble taking down the cool guys in black who turned out to be responsible for producing the tasty slowpoketails (wait why did I do that?) and the other trainers in the gym were all weak. Then I faced the leader, Bugsy. Scyther was his first pokemon and it wiped the floor with my whole party. Because I was in a gym I couldn't do anything about it. What's worse is that Rock could have handled everyone of his pokemon single-handedly. That's what happened when I retrieved my final two pokemon from the PC - Rock and Fuzz - and immediately challenged the gym again. I'm sorry, Heat :( and Shell. And Chicken. And BornAgain - you died again. The Zubats didn't matter (I encountered yet another one in Slowpoke Well and ended up just knocking it out without catching it).
I can't even leave Azaela Town now because I see Fox hanging around the gate and I just know he'll challenge me. I'm not sure how well Rock will hold up against his Totodile. What do I do?

Nozlocke Challenge - R.I.P Tasty (update 4)
Posted 11 years agoI wasn't paying attention. My mind was on other things, and everything had been going so smoothly. I ordered Tasty to attack when it's health was dangerously low, and didn't even realize until he fell at my feet, too weak to fight on.
R.I. P Tasty
I arranged a nice little funeral, and said some nice words along with the rest of my pokemon. And that was it. I hope tasty was indeed tasty, as I let Heat dispose of all but the shell. It is a sad day indeed. But I feel no inclination to give up. In memory of Jerry and Tasty, I will succeed.
In hopes of good things happening, I have placed BornAgain in my party again. Maybe I'll find another Togepi.

Nuzlocke Challenge - The Tasty Togepi (update 3)
Posted 11 years agoThe egg hatched shortly after I gave my last journal. Tasty the togepi emerged at lv 1, and to my surprise knew how to use extrasensory. It was creepy. Professor elm called me right after he finished hatching and seemed to know already. That's weird, right? Anyway, I had to go all the way back to new bark town to show him. I said hi to mom and stuff, but I didn't stay long. A day later and I'm back in azaelea town. Quick, huh? Well, it's a wonder how far you can get with leveled pokemon...
I switched pokemon around in the pc. Took out the two zubat. They're proving difficult to train... Oh, and did I mention I talked to kurt, the poke ball maker? He seemed really fumed. I think it had something to do with the slowpokes at slowpoke well... I'm all for "save to pokemon", but I feel the slowpoke are being used for a good cause. To make tasty slowpoketails. I still never got to try one of those... There are these guys in cool black suits all around town. One's at the well and another is at the gym. He won't let me in, so I guess I have to wait before I get my next badge. Sigh. Slowpoketails... mmm...

Nuzlocke Challenge - Yummy Slowpokes (Update 2)
Posted 11 years agoNo deaths today, thank the mons. True to my word, I went to beat the violet city gym. But it was closed. So I went to train some at this place called the sprout tower. It was weird. The building vibrated every 3 seconds and there was this creepy swaying pillar... anyway, I had nothing to be afraid of. I found another Ratatta, just like Jerry. The similarity is so striking that I have named it BornAgain. I defeated the Sprout Tower, and then went right into defeating the gym. I even got Shell to evolve into a Butterfree, despite my fears! It was awesome. So much so that I might not go back to New Bark Town just yet...
I got a call from Professor Elm. He said he wanted me to raise the egg I got for him a couple days ago. It was weird. And strangely appetizing. But I gave Rock a break form all his hard work at the gym and put him in the PC to make room for the egg. Then I traveled south from Violet City.
Not much happened along the way except for this one guy, he wanted to sell me a slowpoketail. After being denied my egg treat I really wanted to try it out. But it cost $1,000,000! That's crazy. Sadly, stomach grumbling, I declined. I traveled through union cave and caught a Zubat names Xros. Then on route 33 I caught another Zubat named Xris. I made it to Azalea Town unscathed. This adventure is actually pretty fun...

Nuzlocke Challenge - True Horrors (Update 1)
Posted 11 years agoIt was all going so well. I was training my pokemon in preparation for Falkner's Gym. Rock is such a champ, taking all the hits like a pro. With his help I caught two more pokemon. There was a Pidgey on route 31 that I caught and named Chicken. I was even able to venture onto route 32 and catch a Ratatta named Jerry. It was all going so well...
Rock was able to take on so many pokemon from route 31, that I thought there was no harm in giving Jerry a few shots so she could level up faster. But I was wrong. She was taken down by a fellow Ratatta, destroyed by a critical hit quick attack. I couldn't do anything. It was my first experience with a death. I was horrified by my negligence. I hadn't even been paying much attention at the time. I took down the enemy ratatta, but while I was doing so a horde that I can only assume was it's pack dragged away Jerry's carcass. I could've sworn I saw then sneak a few nibbles and I can only assume what will happen to her. But she is dead, and there is nothing I can do but to let her slip back into nature.
Professor elm never told me of the horrors that a pokemon adventure could bring. I want to go home. I don't want to do this anymore. ... But I can't give up. In Jerry's memory, I must take out Falkner, just as we were training to do. I must succeed. For Jerry... R.I.P. Jerry...

Nuzlocke Challege - The Beginning
Posted 11 years agoI started my first real nuzlocke yesterday (early this morning), and I decided it'd be fun to log the event here. I actually had to restart a few times because of my finnicky nature (starting as a girl character named Luft for one, and then problems with my nicknames lol) but from here on out this is going to be it. I regret having to restart at all because the first one had some cool stuff, but this run is the real deal.
The adventure starts with a boy named Wolf (aka Luft aka Gold aka Silver xD). He's sent by Professor Elm on an errand to go see Mr. Pokemon, some routes away (first run it was nighttime xD). He is given a pokemon to accompany him. He chooses a Cyndaquil, and names it Heat. He's sent away onto the route, where he encounters a Sentret. Remember this, because its going to be his first catch. He reaches cherrygrove city, unharmed, and travels to meet Mr. Pokemon, get an egg and pokedex, and is told to go all the way home. On the way back he runs into a boy who battles him with a Totodile. Strange, that totodile looks familiar... Wolf beats him and takes his trainer card. The boy swipes it back and runs off. Wolf takes a shortcut to the lab, where he is stopped by a policeman. Apparently someone broke into the lab and stole a pokemon. He puts two and two together and realizes it was the boy he battled. He tells the policeman the name was Fox (aka ??? aka Silver aka Gold xD). He gives the egg to professor elm, who jokes and suggests he challenge the pokemon league. He leaves. Back on route 29, he is stopped by his friend Lyra who shows him how to catch a pokemon. He's given 5 pokeballs.
The Nuclocke begins!!!!!!
He encounters a Sentret, which he catches and names Fuzz. He takes a peek at route 46 and catches a Geodude, which he names Rock. He makes it back to route 30. Encounters a Metapod lv 4 :/ In spirit of the Nuzlocke, he catches it and names it Shell. He battles youngsters Joey and Mikey and easily defeats them with Rock.
