it's appearance is currently unknown cause the scp rests at the very edge of the milky way galaxy it has a high luminosity giving off the same light as a star and it will give off flashes in the form of morse code to communicate it wishes to come back as it has been translated to see its children though has shown no clear way of bringing it back

scp-6262-2 is a humanoid entity with a scarlet red coloration it is normally stationary not moving in such a way it shows little signs of life but every 4 years it will become active giving warning signs using its antenna flashing an array of red yellow and orange at this point all personnel are exit a 6 mile radius of the containment chamber one activation event will last 8 hours and the scp is to be contained in a reflective surfaced room to stall its ability when active the scp will begin to hover floating 3 yards above the ground it will spread it 6 pairs of wings and its body temperature will rise to over 482 degrees fahrenheit in addition to this it will produce a light with in the red spectrum any thing hit by this light will be removed from existence once the event is over the scp's body temperature will drop to -200 degrees fahrenheit its wings will close in around it making it seem like it is wearing a cloak and any thing that was destroyed in the event will comeback in a disorderly state it is believed that scp-6262-2 (scarlet butterfly) is the older brother of scp-6262-1 (midnight moth) this came to context when scp-6262-1 stated and explained it had a sibling that has an ability to destroy and looks fairly similar but bigger with a red or scarlet coloration

scp-6262-1 is a humanoid moth of a silky black coloration it has the ability that it can not interact with fiscal objects but can interact with living beings it drains negative energy from people as a form of sustenance it is unable to be out side of the 30 minute range of midnight unless certain circumstances are met other wise it will begin to die slowly and painfully as though it is burning very slowly it can talk telepathically and is extremely friendly wanting to cuddle and hug and human it meets but every 4 years it is not permitted and interaction for 8 hours because in this time any human who makes physical contact with it in this time period will be sucked inside it and compressed into a smaller state in addition to this they will enter a rem sleep and will not be able to wake up it is believed that those who have been trapped with in it are in side one of 3 stomachs which produce a chemical that keeps them asleep only 3 people have been recovered from the scp so far scp-6262-1 is no more than 4'11 in hight

is a humanoid entity who's body shows heavy malnourishment but its actions say it does not feel such it has been proven to have regenerative properties and could lose any vital organ and survive regenerating the lost part in under 10 minutes
incident report 6842-1: a guard went in to examine the containment chamber part way through he fell silent when the other guards went to check on him he was staring at scp-6842 they went in to stop what they thought was happening the guard suddenly dropped to the floor and was pronounced dead on site it was discovered that they were staring at the scp for a total of 10 minutes and upon examination the had suffered rapid malnourishment with in the ten minutes of eye contact with the scp. it has been proven to have the same affect through live feed footage and if eye contact is broken with in 9 minutes you can survive but because of the abilities of this scp two people must be in the same room as this scp or the camera room
incident report 6842-2: a test to under stand the extent of scp-6842's abilities a picture was taken of scp-6842 and was presented to a d-class who looked at the picture and was unable to look away but showed no signs of the previous to past scenarios but the guards at the scp's containment chamber saw the scp begin to scream and cry in a similar manner to scp-096 (shy guy) it continued for 20 minutes getting louder until its screams began to destroy its containment chamber it the proceeded to run through the door at 40 times the speed of sound it continued until it reached the d-class and killed them
