Inflatable sound library
Posted 4 months agoThis giant balloon sound library just dropped and it's on sale - https://hissandaroar.com/v3/soundli.....iant-balloons/
A good resource for folks who do inflatable audio. I recorded some similar stuff myself once for this piece:

I'm also very down to do inflation/pooltoy stuff myself, but I couldn't not tell people about this library.

Alien Bounty Hunter (Work in Progress)
Posted a year agoI wanted to share some behind the scene a personal project I've been working on by showing how coming back to a project with fresh ears can make all the difference. Here's the last version I posted back in 2023:
0:00 – Opening scene is way too busy. I liked the idea of this being a very clunky sounding ship. Lots of heavy metal knobs and the sound of the chassis rattling. But the mix is just too dense it sounds mostly like an aircon on full blast. Also unsure if I want to start with a spaceship flyby to set the scene or if I can just start in the cockpit. Maybe a short bar of music to set the mood?
0:15 – Alien voice is cool but a little bit too processed. It’s also a bit too stereo sounding? I need to pull back on the effects and dial in the EQ more so that he has the same vibe, but is a lot more clear.
0:43 – The ship landing is the one thing I am 100% happy with. The metal thunk is exactly the well-worn ship vibe I wanted and I love the dust and metal cooling. Things quiet down but there’s still all this lovely texture.
1:12 – I’ve hired VoiceVixxen and LewdZaxk as alien voice actors and they did a great job – but I’ve still got to properly use their work here. There’s way too much reverb on everything. I want it to sound busy sure, but we wanna be able to hear things distinctly.
1:29 – The squeezing into the booth should be almost a gag sound. Make it shorter and stand out more.
1:50 – Waaay too much various sounds here. Let this be a quieter scene before all hell breaks lose again.
So with all that in mind, here's how it sounds now:
0:00 – Much happier with the opening. I love the interplay between the environment and the spaceship flying past. Namely how the leaves in the trees are rocked and the sound of the ship slapping off the ground. Plus there’s a nice use of loud and quiet moments.
0:12 – In hindsight maybe I should’ve gotten some more breathing sounds from Blutengel (the voice actor playing Wark the alien bounty hunter) but in the end I like how that forced me to re-approach the layout of this scene and start the dialogue sooner. And although I cut down on the amount of lever and button sounds, what ones are still there are more punchy and relevant to the action!
0:50 – Ok this is a bit I made hard for myself. I like the visual of the alien just calmly planting the ship disabling device on the hull mid-stride like a pro. In my head the bounty hunter parks right next to their target’s ship and plants the device discretely. But it’s something that needs visuals or dialogue to make the moment “read.” So I overhauled this bit. Now Wark takes his time planting the device, the device sounds more aggressive and I added a little digital voice too.
1:00 – Varl finally has a proper voice rather than placeholder sounds! I think the voice is kinda cool. I’ll probably re-work it at some point, but I really like the space created when Wark leans in conspiratorially to ask about his target.
1:11 – OK tried to balance out the reverb and live music sounds. Too much distortion in the music, while realistic sounding, just gave me a headache. It was also interesting trying to try and layer in the crowd alien vocals. Both VoiceVixxen and LewdZaxk did an awesome job – but I realized that I had to bury their voices a bit so it was clear that these are just people passing by, rather than anyone we’re meant to be listening to like Val. Luckily both actors gave performances that were crispy and interesting so they add a really good texture even a low volume. And of course the voices panning by hopefully sells the illusion that we’re walking past various conversations. It ended up being a lot shorter, but I think it’s stays loud long enough to give the idea of the alien club without overstaying its welcome.
1:20 – This is way better now that I’m following my own advice. Music fades away subtly just before the book reveal and gives that whole moment a lot more space. I really like all the strange sounds Wark makes. I really wanna imply some giant and strange alien body, but the last version was getting in the way of the dialogue. So here I really pulled back the amount of movement sounds. I find saving movement sounds as punctuation between sentences is usually the best approach. Plus we get that fun giant maw opening at the end.
That’s it for now! Really looking for the next bit which is going to be more action packed.

Opening commissions again
Posted a year agoFYI I'm opening up commissions again. Earliest slots would probably be for August - unless it's a shorter piece then I could probably squeeze it in this month.
Commission info can be found here:
https://www.furaffinity.net/commiss.....s/monsterchow/
Or on my website:
https://monsterchow.neocities.org/
But also feel free to just ask me questions too. :D

Higher quality downloads for longer pieces
Posted a year agoAnyone who makes audio on FA will be well familiar that the upload limit is 10MB. This is normally pretty workable for most pieces, but for some longer pieces it's a bit trickier. So I've just gone through and added higher quality versions for all of my pieces that are around the 10min mark.

Was considering Subscribestar but...
Posted a year agoI was considering making a Subscribestar since it lets me host MP3 files up to 50MB so I can upload 320kbp files
https://subscribestar.adult/monsterchow
But I'll be honest the difference in the compressed versions isn't SUPER noticeable. I put a lot of work into playing with bittrate so that the 10MB versions on FA sound as good as possible. I also tried adding WAV versions to the subscribestar since the difference is a bit more noticeable. But that requires hosting off-site since WAV files are a LOT bigger than MP3s.
I don't think the limitations of the website makes it a worthwhile experience for people. Like my FA is just better and easier to navigate. So why would I charge people for something that isn't that much better quality and is a bit of a pain to navigate. If people have any thoughts or suggestions that'd be appreciated, but as is I think I'm just gonna keep posting on my usual sites for free.

Rate changes from March 2024 (UPDATE)
Posted 2 years agoThis is further to an update I made about rate changes a couple days ago. The important thing is if you've already messaged me about a commission in the past and are already on the list, you'll be getting my old rates.
Upon reviewing things I realized I haven't changed my rates in about 5 years. When covid happened I held off on upping my rates and then things just kept happening.
So from March 1st, 2024 onwards my new rates will be:
$100/min for soundscapes
$130/min for sound design for video
As always more details about comms can be found here:
https://www.furaffinity.net/commiss.....s/monsterchow/
The other thing is my sides projects need some love too. Last time I updated my bounty hunter project (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52683115/) was 6 months ago. I'm also looking to hire some more voice actors to be background aliens for that one. So I'm working towards having more time to work on that soon.

Posted 2 years agoUPDATE: I went over things and realized I hadn't updated my rates in about 5 years, so I've upped them a bit more. My old rates on any existing enquiries will still apply of course. Full details here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10776249/
I'm now also on Weasyl + Twitter

OK I've been on Twitter for a while BUT I've recently finished uploading ALL of my work on Weasyl. The vore community here on FA is excellent - but Weasyl does have the advantage of letting you embed Youtube videos so it's a much better gallery for browsing my video and audio works. And you don't even need to have a Weasyl login to see most of my stuff there.
Of course I'll keep updating on all three sites, so you'll see me in whichever corner of the internet best suits you. :)

Well that was fast
Posted 7 years agoHad a bit of a surprise today to find my latest video got pulled a few hours after going live. I definitely understand why, but there’s honestly a lot of fetish material on YouTube and I figured I’d stay under the radar. Glad I’m not someone who relies on these things in the same way some Patreon or Youtubers do.
Oh well that’s what FurryNetwork is for. New vore video is back up here: https://beta.furrynetwork.com/multi.....cessful-escape
If anyone has suggestions for places where I can upload HD videos like this without similar trouble I’d be happy to hear them.

20% of vore fans are asexual?! :D
Posted 7 years agoBefore I get too excited it's only (as of right now) a forum poll of 146 people. BUT this does give credence to something I've notice A LOT around here on FA. In fact sometimes I'll PM fellow ace vores just to give them a quick high-five. I WILL BE WATCHING THIS THREAD WITH INTEREST

Recording vore sounds
Posted 9 years agoWhew, just finished a really good recording session and I am really happy with the results. Made up some spaghetti with a really thick sauce, then got busy producing all kinds of slimey, squelchy sounds. The more I played the more new material I'd find - the best was getting whole hunks of spaghetti and squeezing with both hands to so you'd get some air bubbles in there. That is absolutely going in my next project. Also picked up a pack of soda cans and recorded some good burps. Tried beer too, but found those burps were pretty dry. Anyone have some good recipes for really long 5second+ belches?
Recommendations for vore voices
Posted 9 years agoI'm looking to produce a couple of vore soundscapes - at the moment I'm hunting around for inteesting, well recorded vore related dialogue I can use in it. Found a couple of soundgasm clips that could work, but ideally I'd like to find something that was released public domain/creative commons or that I can contact the person to get their consent and approval to work with their audio.

New snake vore animation with sound
Posted 9 years agoJust finished another vore collaboration by providing sound for Ante's amazing snake vore animation. Ante dd a killer job on creating a fun teasing pred. Check out the video here:

Also here's the FA submission on Ante's page:

Really enjoyed doing these kind of collaborations with Ante and Hopfel. I've also been talking with another vore animator so there's more of these to come. Feel free to contact me for sound stuff too if people have something brewing.
