Finally got a copy of Pokémon X. Beaten the storyline, downloaded Pokémon Bank to transfer my babies from black and white 2, and now attempting to collect the Vivillons. Ah, good times.

So my hernia decided to say "fuck it" and become a pain. Literally.

For two days I could not keep food or drink down for longer than 30 minutes. Sunday (the 16th), I went to the hospital again, demanding help. Of course, vomiting wasn't considered a big priority, so I had to wait awhile to get back (there were several small children under the age of five with serious fevers and stuff). I get back and they began to examine me. It took hours to get all the testing completed, due to how busy the E.R. happened to be at the time.

Around 11pm, the doctor looked through all the lab work and said that I had a severe urinary tract infection, which almost made me cry. They had dismissed my stomach pains last year as just as UTI and I was sure I was about to be turned away. Shortly afterwards, the doctor came in again and said "we have to do surgery tonight, I've contacted the surgeon on call."

Say what? Surgery?

A larger piece of bowel had lodged itself into the hernia and needed to be removed immediately. They explained the procedure and assured that I would be fine. I was wheeled back to prep, given a gown, had i.v.s put in and told of risks and blah blah. Then I started to dry heave and they explained I needed to have a tube down my nose to prevent me from vomiting while asleep. Usually the wait until you are unconscious, but my case demanded they go ahead and remove the food.

One of the worst experiences of my life. They had to almost hold me down, because I began to panic.

I was then calmed down and wheeled into surgery... Fade to blissful sleep...

Then I woke up in recovery in HORRIFIC pain, crying out that I needed to be on my side and having a nurse have to almost hold me down again. She forced extra morphine into my system, because she was scared I was going to hurt myself.

Later, I found out that during the operation, as they were removing the bowels, they noticed that my small intestines had become en-strangled and basically a foot long piece had died. They had to remove that part of my intestines and attached the two good ends together.

I had to stay in the hospital for nearly a week and said I was healing fine.

I just wish I wasn't in so much pain.

I've not been able to post anything, because I am using my sister's computer and need to find my software disks to install my scanner. Oops. Here's hoping I can find it.

I'm going to be losing my internet guys. I'll be back when I can, but I just don't make enough at work to pay all these bills.

Very early this morning, my niece had to give birth to her son, Adam, at 22 weeks. His little body was underdeveloped and unfortunately he was unable to survive. My niece is in so much pain and grief, I've never seen the pain of a mother losing their child, but it is heart wrenching. To those who pray, please send them our way. She needs support during this time.

Well, for months I have been working so much that I've been too tired to draw. much. Well, that came to an end about a month ago, when my boss fired me. (For not filling out half a label and putting half a frozen egg in the fridge) I'm in trouble guys, I need cash, but I'm too busy trying to find a new job to really take on commissions. So, I have some old convention prints that I'm selling.
