One more day!
Posted 16 years agoOne more day until I fly to Holland! I cant waiiit :D I've spent most of today packing, buying train tickets and getting things prepaired for tomorow~
And also, at long long last the sky was torn open by glorius thunder and a torrent of rain cascaded through the opening. Its like all the rain that should have been in past week feel at that one moment, it was great XD It finaly means this opressive, sticky, motionless heat we've been suffering for days unending might finaly lift. I just wish this had happened last friday!
I've got myself almost all buffered up as far as the comic goes. However, I'm going to have to find myself time to create one more strip while Im away in order to cover the full three weeks. to be honest, I'de best make one mroe ontop of that to cover me upon my return, because I doubt i'll be wanting to get fired strait back in the moment I get home XD
But yeah! All is wellw ith me and I hope its well with you- thankyou and goodnight!

Another University hurdle conquered
Posted 16 years agoand just one more to go! :D All I ahve to do now is complete two 1000 word essays on some facet of art history and I'm home free 8D
The hurdly that i have just completed, however, was the film making class. and as such, I have a film to show you! :D It has turned out better than I thought, unlike the animation I made which didn't turn out as well as I thought XD

The production procces was riddled with technical difficulties, incoordination and general ass hattery, but we made it in the end XD My own acting in this film is wooden, camera concious, camp and generaly very very awful. Im not in it much, though so hopefuly I wont spoil your enjoyment of the piece XD

Posted 16 years agoI passed my driving test! :D Wooooo!
I am very very pelased aboutt his ^^ I've been taking lession on and off for almost 2 years now XD
While I was drving around I didn't think i was going to pass, and my instructor addmited afterwards that he was having doubts (I'de made a couple of simple mistakes earlier on in the day). but I passed anyway! :D With only 6 minor faults, which I'm told is pretty good.
All I need now is a car or soem insurance XD

Birthday!
Posted 17 years agoMy Birthday went off awsomely, it seems ^^
As I said before, I had to work, sleep then wrok again for the whole of my actual birthday, but it wasn't so bad in the end. The sunday shift wasn't busy at all and it passed pretty quickly, then on Monday we celebrated properly by going to the pictures and having a nice meal :D
Not bad, eh? Even better was that my family all chiped in and baught me a real clockwork pocketwatch on a chain! Its awsome :D
So I'm very cheeered up ^^ I gope yous are all ahving a nice day as well :D Thats everythign from me so thankyous and goodnight ^^

Gogol Bordello, My Birthday and the Horror of the Weekend
Posted 17 years agoI went to see Gogol Bordelo playing at the Carling Academy last night! :D It was absolutly fantastic! XD
I've only ever been to one concert before this to see Muse, and I have to admit I enjoyed Gogol Bordelo much more XD It was really really awsome.
My sister and I arived as the doors were opening and managed to stroll right up to the very front; it was great :D We managed to keep our positions there right to the very end of the concert, too! It was really great seeing them so close; the band members all have such Character.
Thier so energectic, bouncing aroudn the stage and dancing alot, and they played to the crowd all the time, getting right to the edge of the stage and leaing forward, playing thier instruments.
The lead singer and the violinist were great for that especialy, as well as the two girls who were awsome as well XD They were all great!
And I stuck my tongue out at the lead singer and he stuck his tongue out back at me! It was a wonderful moment XD
The support group were really good as well. They were called 'Super Ama Zoo'. I got the impressing that they and Gogol Bordelo were really good freidns ebcuase they would often share members during thier pieces, and made special effort to thank one another at the end.
Ah, it was great. The only problem is that I was right next to
the speakers and I still can't hear properly XD

Last night my mum was trying to book a taxi from the place I work, but the girl said she ha to phone back becuase it was so Chaotic. This doesn't bode well for me DX If things were that bad on a friday I shudder to think what they will be like tonight on Saterday while Im working. I'm actually dreading it :(
To add insult to injury, my Birthday is on Sunday and I'll be working or sleeping all through that as well D8 it makes me sad, so it does. I'm told we'll be doing something nice as a family on Monday, though ^^

My grudge against daylight savings time
Posted 17 years agoAt 1:00AM on Sunday the clocks went back by 1 hour to 0:00AM.
For most people this would mean an extra, comfortabe hour in bed but for me it meant that my already abomanably long night shift was extended by an hour to 14 hours! Raagh!
The only consolation was that I did get paid for that extra hour, but quite frankly I would have paid that hours wage just to go to bed.
At about 6 in the morning I was watching the BBC News. I was prety out of it by then, having been up for nearly 20 hours by that point, so I was a little confused when the strait faced news woman shuffed her papers and said 'The Undead swarmed the streets in 90 cities world-wide at half past ten last night.'.
I hadn't been paying full attention at that point but I quickly tuned in, thinking that surly I must have misheard. Neither of the newsreaders was smiling or laughing so I assumed it to be someing serious and geniune.
It turned out I didn't mishear, but I had of course misunderstood. They were talking about the largest mass dance to Micheal Jacksons Thriller on record. They presented this with such a stright face though! If I had been any more tired who knnows what i might have done! Baricaded the door perhaps and fling rocks at passers-by through the window.

A job as none other than a Taxi Controller for Trident Taxis XD Ive done it a few ties now and Ive been gradually getting the hang of it. When its busy it can be quite hecktic, but when its not there is alot of sitting about for 15 minutes at a time doing NOTHING. As such, I've started to being my Sketch Pad along. It can be hard to feel creativing, though, when you know that your likly to be interupted at any moment.
Im also about to start Univerity :D Animation and Digital Art at Paisley University on the 12th of September ^^ Wish me Luck.

We live again
Posted 17 years agoThat was quite some downtime we just had, no?
No matter, these things happen and we're all back now ^^
Ive been having a fantastic time here in England these past few weeks. Ive been staying with my beloved Syrus and we met up with three other really close freinds, one of them for the very first time :D
Darastrix and Naothrak have both been churning along nicly over at MOSH while Ive been on Holiday, but I dont think I left myself very much breathing space with wich to catch back up on schedule with ^^; I should be able to manage it, but dont be suprised if I might have to miss a week.
Anyway, its good to be back on Furaffinity!
No matter, these things happen and we're all back now ^^

Posted 17 years agoIts the First of July and a new year has dawned at MOSH and with it a new Era of Prosperity!
The site has been overhauled with a new layout and my my own new comics, Darastrix and Naothrak , have finaly been uploaded.
Now is the time to flock to MOSH. Now you will see what it is we ahve to offer. Now is the time for you fellow anthro's to join and enhance and divercify our community at the forum!
This is a new Year at MOSH and it can only get better.
It may be worth noting that a few wrinkles have yet to be ironed out regarding the site layout, so things may be a little skee-wiff. This is only a temporary problem however.

For those not i the know, a HNC is a Scottish qualification, standing for 'Higher National Certificate. Its a pretty good qualificatio to have ^^
So now I have a HNC in Visual Communication and with some Luck I will be moving on to do a Degree in Antimation at the University of the West of Scotland :D Im dead chuffed ^^
ooh, and dont forget to keep spreading the word about Darastrix and Naothrak! :D link it to your freinds, feature it in your jounral; anything! I wont be ungreatful ^^

Ronnie Goodwin, the absolutly awsome Video and Media Lecturer at Clydebank College, was with us during our trip to Arbroath and he did alot of filming wich he compiled into this 12 minute video about the trip! :D It really caputures the atmosphere of the whole thing really well ^^
You'll see alot of Chris in the video too; he is a tremendous art teacher and the best teacher of any kind that Ive ever had. We've all learned so much from him, and not just whats on the curiculum either.
Im not in the video all that much, saddly XD You get to see my back as I leave the walled garden and I have a breif moment of speaking while I was painting at about 6:20. The picture thats shown at 3:35 is mine too ^^ although that ones not been finnished.
Almost all of the photos at the end are taken by Ronnie; he really is a fantastic guy.
Its quite a hefty file to download but I emplore you to take a look :D Its absolutly awsome ^^ It might be a good idea to stream the video rather than download it.

When i havent been doing colege work or playing Dwarf Fortress, Ive been working on some Commision and Im all but finnished both of them! :D As such, Im ready for some more, so dont hold back ^^

This is mainly because Im going on an exceedingly awsome trip tomorow! Myself and 25 others from my artclass and the class below us have been fully booked into a Mansion up the top of Scotland, all expences payed, for an Art holiday! :D Its going to be so amazing ^^ Ive never really been on a school trip ever since primary school! ^^
The fact that all of us are freinds is great too :D Its more like a holiday with a bunch of freinds than a shool trip XD it is of course a working holiday, technically, so we're going to be doing alot of artwork ^^
If anyones interested I might post some up here :D I cant imagine much of it will be Anthro related though ^^;
In other news, I have been beavering away at getting Naothrak and Darastrix up and running ^^ Naothrak is all but ready to begin weekly updates, but Darastrix is not quite at that stage yet. Stay tuned though ^^
In closing, Commissions are still very much open! Let me know if your itnerested ^^

Each Picture will be £10 + £5 per character.
I shall also be doing a special offer on Character sheets done in this style. I shall be selling these at £20 a piece :)
The only varable in price will be the number of characters. You can expect all commisions to be done in full colour and shading, even including a background if you so wish :)
So, if you interested, speak up ^^

A Triumphant Return!

I have to apologise to anyone who cares for me being away for so long. Alot of factors cause me to vanish, not least of all the amount of Work Ive been doing at College, but im back now :)
And I have brought with me a great deal of submissions XD
Im sure that the 8 character sheets Ive made will not have gone unnoticed and some of yous will be pleased to know that I will be offering character sheets in that very same style as Commisions in the near future :D
My new Comic, Darastrix, is on the go; it will likly be updated rather slowly im afraid, as I still have alot of college work to do. Im a jammy sod, though, because those three strips and the 8 character sheets were infact part of my College work XD I got to draw Anthros and get a grade out of it 8D
Anyway, its good to be back; thanks to everyone who has added me to thier watch list today, I really apriciate it :)

I recently aquired a brand new Tablet to go towards my Comic drawing efforts, and that has cheered me up to no end.
Also, said Comic is so very very nearly ready to actually start showing :D
Thats not the best bit either; im going to see my beloved Syrus tomorow for a week ^^

Posted 18 years agoWell, After having lost my internet for about a Month, I am finaly back ^^
Whats more, I was in england over the weekend to attend my dads wedding :D It was a really great serimony, and everyone enjoyed myself. My sister looked stunning in her Bridesmaid Dress, and I didn't look too bad myself in the suit I was wearing ^^ I'll have to get some photoes up.
Ive not got much on the art side of things; been caught up doing essays and such for college. I'm begging to get back into the swing of things though, so expect some sometime soon ^^
Another thankyou t those whove wtahced me since my last journal, by the way :D
