Posted 7 years agoHey all, I hope you're having a great week so far. I'm a little slow with commissions right now, so I thought I'd explain why!
Those of you who have followed my art for a while know that I took a very long hiatus because of the poor status of my mental health. I won't go into too much detail, but it was getting to the point where it was interfering with my relationships, my school, my work, etc. etc...
So, due to this, I made a really scary decision to finally get a mental health evaluation. It was very difficult and scary for me, and especially because so many times I would think that there was nothing really wrong with me, that all the problems I had were nonexistent and invalid. But I came to realize that the more I think that, the longer I let my mental illness go untreated.
I've been diagnosed with severe depression, and referred to a psychiatrist. I still have to make those appointments, but I've started anti-depressants and hoping this works. Like, really really hoping. It's been really hard for me for a really long time and it's an emotional experience to finally get help. I encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out and get help as well. If you're suffering and telling yourself you don't need help because someone may have it worse than you, or you don't think you need it, this is your reassurance that you are so deserving of love and happiness. So many people are diagnosed with depression and other mental illnesses that can be treated, so you're never alone - and it's so much better to get help than to let it stew and get worse. I wish I had gone so much earlier in my life to get help, and it's been an uphill battle, but I'm making progress.
With that said, I am still creating art and working on commissions. However, due to starting a new job and making doctors appointments and taking steps for self care, they may take a little longer. But I will absolutely have them done within the two week deadline outlined in my Terms of Service.

I could really use some help

Posted 7 years agoSo they've cut my hours at work, and I'm in a little desperate need of extra cash. So here are the officially updated commission prices and examples. Please be sure to read my Terms of Service first!
If you're looking for something cute and simple and want just a general feel of what your character might look like in my style, this is a great choice. Sketches are very quick for me to do, so I'll probably have it done soon after you have it commissioned. They'll include a few different shoulder-up expressions of your character.
Example 1 (Flat colors can be added for $1)
Also a very simple choice, this commission type is exactly what it sounds like. It includes sketched lines and flat colors of your entire character.

This will be done with clean, solid linework, full coloring, and full shading, including a simple background.

This is the whole shebang. A fully rendered drawing of your character with clean lines, color and shading, simple background, in any pose you'd like, all done to the best of my ability.

The price on this commission type may increase depending on any additions you'd like to make. The default is a front and back fully lined and colored view of your character, an open mouth view, color swatches and details, and any object(s) you'd like associated with your character.

Posted 7 years agoI'm sure I missed a lot in the half year I was gone, and I'm sad to see a lot of my friends here aren't active anymore...but nonetheless, I want to get back into digital art. A lot of things have changed over the time I've been gone. My emotional and mental health is kind of in shambles now, and my life has taken a completely different direction from before but I'm getting on well. How are you?

Commissions will be finished within two weeks from when payment is received. This is the minimum -- because I am in school right now, my schedule is a little more packed and it might take me a little longer!
I cannot begin working until payment is received.
PLEASE specify any particular poses/ details you'd like me to draw! It's so much easier for you to tell me exactly what you're imagining than having to come up with it myself. Though it's a different story if you're into artist's interpretation ;)
By request, I can send you the sketch of your commission before it is completed to be sure I am getting everything right. I don't usually do this by default, but if you ask for it I'll be more than happy to accommodate!
I only accept payment through paypal.
I do NOT accept refunds - I immediately begin working after payment. However, if a commission is taking longer than usual, I can refund part of the payment depending on how late it is.
The owner of any characters used in a commission/ the commissioner is more than welcome to reupload the art WITH CREDIT.

Terms of service for adoptables
After I receive payment, I will email you an unwatermarked version of the character's file (.png)
After you purchase a character, you can change any part of the design you'd like.
The first time you upload the character's design, please credit me! (ESPECIALLY if I use my own base!)
Once you purchase a character, if you choose to resell, please do so for the same price as originally purchased unless they have more art than before! I don't mind if you choose to gift the character to someone else, because you have all rights to the character after purchasing.To do list

Posted 8 years agoI'm gonna go ahead and end the Q&A with Tiffany and Hazel! I only answered six questions, but they were still a lot of fun to do and I can't wait to try this out with my other characters in the future! Hopefully I'll have more luck then haha

Posted 8 years agoThank you to everyone who participated! I will definitely do this more often, and it'll be even better as I continue to create new characters! This was a really fun thing to do and a great way to not only get to know your characters, but develop and get to know my own as well <3
(and I've even considered making canon pairs out of this whole ordeal, too :p)

I made August and Fraise single pringles, but I'd like them to make friends/ have feelings for someone EVENTUALLY...so I came up with this project - if you comment to this journal with:
- Your character's personality profile & visual reference
- which of my characters your oc wants to take out
- where you want the date to be
...I will doodle the two of them on the date and give a little story of how it goes! I feel like that'd be a really fun way to draw more of my babies but also interact with your guys' characters! I will add more characters as I create them~
(This is only available to my watchers!)
Don't be afraid to get creative with date ideas! This will be one of the biggest determining factors for how well the date goes!

I've been a little nervous about making this journal, but I'm just going to risk it and go for it.
So, as you can tell in my page description, there's a Depeche Mode concert in my state in September, and they will be touring their new album Spirit (which, if you haven't heard it yet, it's really fucking great). This is the reason I have adoptables, commissions, and auctions -- every bit of income I earn goes straight into saving for this concert. I have a little over 5 months to get all the money I need for a hotel to stay for the night, gas money, and the tickets themselves, as well as food and other shit I might need.
This really means a lot to me. I don't know if anyone else here has an all time favorite music group, but DM is definitely mine -- they started out in the 80s, their most popular album Violator came out in the 90s, and they've been rocking their way through the 2000s and 2010s. But they're getting undeniably older, and I'm really nervous that at some point in my life, they're going to stop touring. I'm not sure if I'll get another chance like this.
I'm fairly confident I've secured a host job, but I haven't started yet and I need every ounce of help I can get. From now on, when you donate, buy an adoptable, or commission me, I'll put your username under a special, designated area in my profile description.

Posted 8 years agoIt took a lot of convincing myself, but I've decided to adjust my commission prices based on the time it usually takes me to finish an art piece.
From now on, I will work $8.10 an hour (minimum wage), and depending on how many hours it takes me to draw something is what I'll charge. For example, a fully rendered full body character usually takes me about 4 hours (with lineart taking the longest because I draw at such large dimensions), so my fee for this art piece is $32.40
I will also be adding more options for commissions, such as sketching and lineart and more!

Commissions - what I will and won't draw
Posted 8 years agoHello hello! It's come to my attention that I didn't specify what I wouldn't take as a commission. So I put together a list of guidelines to hopefully help you out!Things I WILL NOT draw:
*Graphic sexual situations. If you want something nsfw, please tell me what you have in mind and we can work from there, because it really just depends on what I'm comfortable doing.
*Mecha/machinery. I haven't practiced it, and I don't want you to pay for something I can only do half-assed.
*Fetish art involving the sexualization of children. I just won't do it. This includes diapers, ddlg, etc.
*Ferals. Again, I'd like more practice first.
*Gore.
Things I WILL draw:
*Nudity.
*Sexually suggestive situations.
*Much to my own surprise, most fetish art. Unless you got something that I find morally disturbing. But we can talk!
*Anthropomorphic animals, humans, and any varying degree between the two. But not full on animals.
