I think I might go for a walk.

Kind of a general question to anyone who sees this, I’m trying to tackle inking again, any advice on hand stabilization?

Been trying not to let full time work drag me around with its wacky schedule. Part of the exhaustion from that has driven me to dump doodles in scraps as I’m sure you, my followers, have noticed. I want to avoid just dumping half thoughts on my main gallery, but I want to avoid dry spells in posting as well. Eventually if I can ever balance up my stamina I’d love to do commissions steadily, one for the extra money to soften bills and two because it was a fun challenge and it pushed me out of my comfort zones. I just worry about burn out.

In a retrospect I’m half kicking myself in the butt for leaving twitter. Primarily that I made such a fuss on dropping a phone number for their verification when I could have just had a google number generated (as per the suggestion of a friend) and been on my merry way. The other half though realized I was caught up in the “Fear of Missing Out” addiction and had my face glued to the site in an unhealthy way. I may start up a twitter as a point of contact and sales in the future but not before I get my bearings in the meantime.

Apologies on my lack of responses to the comments. Day job stuff requires a lot of social energy, though most of it being automatic, I still feel drained after a shift.

Gonna give myself a week or two to take a break from trying to post. Been busy and tired.

I think I’m gonna focus on doodling vessel homes for a bit as a series. Cramming characters and character into an old broken jug or kettle lends itself to a whimsy I’ve hardly grasped but desperately seek. Also I might bump my posts down to 3 a week to give myself a breather. As much as I wanna post a piece everyday, I’m not in a position where I have that much free time. This change may also allow me to focus a little more on quality and challenge myself to put more thought and effort into a painting.

It’s been a challenge to keep the posting schedule up, thank you all for the positive feed back!
Though, my work kind of started to default to certain patterns I don’t want to risk being too stagnant. I feel like I’ve exhausted most of my ideas on the soft gradients for now. I may jump into more traditional doodles for a bit mainly due to the fact my schedule has become more busy in day to day life. I’ll still post Monday through Thursday. No progress yet on Friday stretch goals.

I’ve been prepping for a posting schedule this past week. Starting this Monday I’ll be posting art 4 days a week. There will be a new post on the weekdays with Friday being my stretch goal day. If I manage to meet my stretch goal you’ll see an art post on Friday, otherwise expect posts on Monday through Thursday.

Here’s to hoping this will help with keeping active more often.

Over the next week I’ll be updating my tumblr and weasyl, and adding some current stuff on instagram. I wont post my old art on Instagram, theres far too much to post. But it’ll be more housekeeping around my accounts.

Twitter locked me out of my account for just idling on a tab in my phones duck duck go browser thinking I was a robot, and I’m just done with it. I’ll be leaving a week notice once I unlock it that I’ll be leaving Twitter altogether. It seems that Twitters been drifting to that arena of constantly being too needy of its users attention as a platform and it’s irking me more as it gets worse.

So to any people who follow me here who might also follow me on twitter be advised.

I think I’m going to stick my focus for posting art here on FA. Twitter and Tumblr are dandy but both started negative habits that didn’t lead to productivity; that like button became a mindless reflex and a distraction. I’ll still update the other sites in batches and priority for new posts is going to FA.

My apologies, I’ve been posting only on twitter and not posting here and my other sites I’ll do my best to remedy that.

I wish I had more of it...

Not sure if I should even mention any thing about it, but I feel like I made a mistake silently closing commissions previously. I didn’t have any commissions, but rather than let it get to me, I should have stuck it out and just advertised more or been more active. The only thing is how much advertising is too much? I don’t want to be a bother or a nuisance, but I know in this crazy digital landscape posts get buried fast. I’m gonna take another crack at it but starting with a simple YCH. Any advice on advertising would be greatly appreciated!

Pardon my first 3 pieces on the inktober stuff they were abruptly done without much thought. The 2nd ones gonna get revised shortly. Been stressing recently for no good reason... Aside from that I’m interested in trying india ink with my ball point pen work, not sure how well it’ll turn out. I still have to catch up though.

Society 6 stuff seems a tad pricey. I’ve been wanting to make art and turn it into to clothes for myself at this point but it just seems way over priced coming from their store front. Aside from that I let my anxiety pressure me into a corner with my designs... Ya’ll got any advice? If any ones had more or better shopping experiences from other online store fronts that offer print services let me know. I just can’t dig the vibe Society 6 gives off for some reason.

I’ll probably swap this journal with the place holder one in 2 weeks or something.

I should probably go and finish Moon before the new one for the Switch releases...
I even got my dream team too, don’t know why I haven’t played it more.

It would be a disservice to those that follow me if I canceled my society six account, and tbh I wouldn't be able to afford processing and producing my own prints and mailing them off let alone having the time to do so. Not only that, now s6 is doing stickers and stuff (they show them on laptops? not sure if they're laptop only stickers?) so I'm gonna research into that.

Gonna stick with that monthly store update schedule with the exception of October this year because of that goofy off brand Inktober I'm doing lol.

Aside from all that hope ya'll are having a fun and safe month of spooks. Spook night is coming up soon, have fun and stay safe!
