Possibly Selling a Suit
General | Posted 13 years agoSo... I have a gray and white husky fullsuit, minus the feet, that I bought off of Furbid going on... two years now I think it was. Paid around $350 for it if I remember right. I bought it as a fixer up with all intents and purposes of, well, fixing it up. The previous owner even made a new badge with her name on it with her for me. I'm currently in the process of getting everything packed up to move, but as soon as I find everything, I think I'm going to take photos and put it up for sale. The bodysuit has only been worn once and for less than 2 hours at MFF in 2010.
I'm not expecting to get $350 for the suit. If I do, fantastic as I have other things I'd like to put the money towards, if not, ah well, still have bills to pay. I'd have to do some serious digging to see if I can find the name of the previous owner. I know he said it was the first suit he'd ever made, so there are errors.
Right now I just want to gauge interest on it. If anyone is interested in even just seeing pics of the suit, please leave a comment. If anyone decides they want it, I am willing to do layaway but not for more than 2 months and I'd want 25% of the cost up front, PayPal only (sorry), non-refundable. Call me harsh or a bitch, don't care, not my problem. I also collect Asian Ball Jointed Dolls and when I sell any I don't want anymore through the BJD forum I'm a member on, I do my layaways to people the same way there. Don't like it, tough. Keep going. Move along. -.-

Mass Effect Series (Possible spoilers)

I just finished the third and final game of the series tonight and all I can say is...
WHAT THE FUCK BIOWARE????
My Shepard(F) was almost pure Paragon throughout the entire series, so at the end of the final one I of course picked control the Reapers... AND SACRIFICED MYSELF?!?! WTF?! All throughout ME:2 and ME:3 I, unsurprisingly, romanced Garrus.
Bad enough Bioware can't seem to see fit to give us "sexy times" with the badass, wise assed Turian... and then after finally getting to hear him tell Shepard that he loves her too, I don't get an ending where she lives?!
The ending choices basically amount to:
1) Kill Shepard
2) Kill Shepard
3) Maybe kill Shepard
HOW THE HELL IS ANY OF THAT A CHOICE?! Also for whatever screwed up reason, apparently Bioware prefers it if you choose to go with choice two: synthesis. Am I the only one pissed off by this shit?
And not to mention the "real ending" that's a DLC... wtf is up with that crap? "The Legend of the Shepard"... That's not an ending! Not when it came out, not now, not EVER!

I sat there crying... three entire games you invest time and emotion into one character and the character doesn't get the happy ending (depending on how you played them) he/she deserves as far as you're concerned. New House, New Suit

So after over a year o looking, I finally managed to find and purchase a house! (and not have it yanked out from under me due to other bids...) It's about a 5 minute drive from where I'm currently living with my parents, so close enough that the move won't be too hard, but far enough that I won't have to deal with them almost constantly. ><; We've been working on the house for going on three months. Closing date was March 29. Still not done...
It was a foreclosure. *facepaw* The people took the A/C, Furnace, Water Heater, Sump Pump... they literally took everything but the Kitchen Sink. Only part of the counter with the sink, no pipes, were left in the kitchen. The toilet and tub were left... and they took half the outlets and half the switches out of the house as well. *head desk* Hoping and praying I'm moved out by or before the end of July, waiting on my loan to finish processing so I can purchase all this stuff. =/

SERIOUSLY! I'm sure everyone watching me has heard about it by now, but I'm still just utterly... shit... FLABBERGASTED over the whole thing! Some of the photos that have been taken down with no warning... some of the people that were suspended for no real reason (

howiepup for example)... Just... wow... Howie and Deoge are awesome people and I loved hanging out with them at MFF this past year, for FA to suspended them for any amount of time at all over stupid crap... I've loved their LavShep and DerShep photos! I've always thought they were tastefully done and adorable!

Hell, that's how Skroy called me out at MFF this year. XD I'll probably go ahead and keep the name... make a fursona around that name that actually suits ME. I don't know any furs named Mousey... I think there's one running around named Mouse, but not Mousey. I'll have to keep thinking on it... still don't know what species I actually am anyway. *facepaw*

A New House And...

So I finally have a house! WOO HOO! I closed on it March 29, a whole day early than what was set! :D 914 square feet JUST on the main floor! 3 bed, 1 bath... and a LOT of work! O.o; Bought a fixer-upper because that's what I could afford. ><; BUT since I'm basically starting from scratch with it, it means the house will be MINE flat out. :P Everything will be painted and remodeled to my own tastes and not those of the previous owner's. :D
That same night of the day I closed on the house, I was showing the boyfriend the inside of the house since the two times my Mom and I had gone to look at it he was at work, and he popped the question. Obviously I said yes. :P I'll be posting the pic of my ring in a bit.
He actually put some thought into it too! He knows how much I love "The Phantom of the Opera" (Hell, I have 2 tats, both are my own tributes to it!) so he tried to get a ring with roses on it. What he actually wanted was way out of his budget, but he still got me one that works really well. The diamond acts as the rose bud and there's a rose stem engraved into the gold band on either side of it. The prongs holding the diamond are fricking lethal! I've managed to scratch up my right wrist twice since getting it resized properly and getting it back last Friday. >.>; He'd bought me a size 7, turns out I wear a 8 1/2. My future sister-in-law ended up not being as sneaky as she thought she was being. :P
I'm also trying to figure out a new fursona as Servane just... I dunno... she just doesn't really truly seem to fit... ME... anymore. =/ I mean, I'm not going to get rid of her, she'll still be around, I just want to figure one out that's ME.

General | Posted 13 years agoIf you're looking for a costume or a cosplay, good chance you've come to the right place. :) Fingers crossed I'll have a house in a couple months or so and I'll have almost nothing to do once we get moved in since I'm not sure when we'll get internet or satellite/cable. I'll have access to the internet through my phone still however. I have a stupid amount of excess fabric from over the years and once I move, I'm seriously considering opening up commissions whether you want something as simple as a vest or more complex like an actual cosplay. If you commission me, I will need a DTD so that I can make sure to size it correctly without you having to be in front of me and I will let you know what measurements I would also need possibly. I am willing to takes trades, highly depending on what you want to trade me and exactly what it is you want from me in return.
I have Anime St. Louis in April, Ren Faire in May/June, possibly Archon in October, and depending on how things look financially, MFF in November. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it's actually quite a bit. Please keep in mind that because of these events, people who are trading me MONEY over ITEMS for a costume/cosplay take precedence! Especially since I'm still wanting to get money saved up to get Pherrick's proper bodysuit in addition to making sure bills are paid. ><;
So keep an eye on my journals to see when I'll be opening up for commissions. :)
I also have a lot of scrap fur that I'll more than likely be turning into tails as it's enough for tails just not for more bigger projects. :)

I've had like, no internet for the past two weeks. -_-; AT&T was being retarded, then the modem busted, bought a new one, it didn't want to work correctly, fixed it, then the router didn't want to work, got the router to work but had no connection to the internet, neither the modem or the router wanted to talk to each other, then got the modem to work without the router then it stopped working again and I finally got my parents to get our neighbor over to look it all over because I kept telling them I did what I could he had to do the rest.
Gee... look what's happened! It works now! O.O *head desk* I TOLD them to get him to come over to fix it... -_-;
Also had a pregnancy scare and the boyfriend and I talked it over heavily. Despite the fact that we're currently still trying to get a house (waiting on the bank to respond to my offer. ><; ), we decided that it's not really in our hands anyway so if it happens, it happens. Neither one of us is going anywhere like, ever. I've put him through a lot of shit, especially when he first moved out here, 1500 miles from his home, to be with me. He's stuck it out and has stuck with me despite a lot of crap I've been through and has been nothing but supportive. Also upon further thought after finding out I wasn't pregnant, I found that I was actually disappointed. =/ Being a mom is one of my dreams in life, has been for more years than I can count or care to count at this point, and I finally found someone worth it.
He's also up to something and won't tell me what it is, just that I don't have to worry about it. >.> Sneaky bastard... I'm at least PART feline! Don't tease the cat! D:

Dragon Age...
General | Posted 14 years ago...yeah... I'm addicted! O.O I've finished one play through of Dragon Age 2 (the fanfic I'm posting I started before I finished the game so ignore inconsistencies if you've played it) and am now playing Dragon Age: Origins.
Yeah... probably easy to figure out who I'm fangirling over in each game! XD Kind of sucks that you can only marry Alistair (to my knowledge) if you're a Human in DA:O. =/ More poor little elf mage on my other file is going to end up dead or broken hearted. D:
Wanting to start sketching again... need to pull my scanner out of my closet and hook it up to my comp. Hopefully it'll work with it. =/

Yeah... I got sucked into it... was playing Skyrim for a while and ended up breaking from it for a bit because I actually started to get a little bored with it. Over 20 hours into it and I'm not even half way done with it! O.o;
So... now I'm playing Dragon Age 2...
OMG!
Yeah, ended up managing to Romance Anders first as a Warrior F!Hawke... wasn't even actually trying to either... started another file as a Mage F!Hawke with the full intention of Romancing Fenris...
I'M NEVER ROMANCING ANDERS AGAIN! O.O
Whiny little bitch I swear. >.>; At least Fenris' personality actually progresses through the game instead of staying "Oh poor me! Us poor mages! I have spirit in me that's turned into a demon!" etc. etc. -_-;
Besides... I have a weakness for elves. >.>
Fenris = HOT!
And... I've started a DA2 fanfic... don't be surprised to see it pop up on here... and... there's a familiar yet not so familiar character of mine that's in it. This version is most definitely not the version you are all used to of this character, but as close to the original character I can get with them being in the world of DA2.
If anyone reads it, please comment and tell me what you do or don't like or if I'm doing a good job on it in general. I just started typing it Friday night and I already have like... 16 pages typed up. o.O;
I WILL be sketching out or commissioning fanart of this fanfic at some point as I have the pictures in my head and would love to see them brought to life. ^.^
Also... probably at next year's Anime St. Louis... I WILL be doing a Mage F!Hawke! :D Giving myself plenty of time since I'm HOPEFULLY finally moving in the next two months and I want to do the costume justice. :3 I've already talked to my other "little brother", Link, and he's going to make me the Chanter's Staff in exchange for something I said I would make for him. ^.^ I know I'm glad of this much too, I already have a wig that should work for the "original" version of F!Hawke that had been used for a different cosplay. I love it when I can use a wig for a different character later on. I don't even up feeling like I wasted $20+. XD

Suitmakers?
General | Posted 14 years agoSo... depending on how things look in the next month or two, I'd like to see about getting Servane 3.0. Follow me eyes and moving jaw are a must. I'm hopefully going to move in the next month or two, so someone who'd be willing to take payments and/or possibly a partial trade (I used to make cosplay on commission, willing to make it in trade. I garauntee my work every time.). Good quality is also a must as she'll be around children a lot, I'm sure. I love the version I got from Regal Wolf Studios, but I can't help but look at Servane 2.0 and I just feel... I don't know... disconnected? Old? I can't really put it into words, but I'm hoping a new version of Servane will make me excited about her again.
Any suggestions? I'd be getting probably a partial and not just a head, eventually even a new bodysuit possibly. Servane is just a white cat (used to be a white sabertooth, what happened?! D: ) with purple eyes. Good pricing and utterly adorable to boot are a must (the adorable part first and foremost.)

Any suggestions? I'd be getting probably a partial and not just a head, eventually even a new bodysuit possibly. Servane is just a white cat (used to be a white sabertooth, what happened?! D: ) with purple eyes. Good pricing and utterly adorable to boot are a must (the adorable part first and foremost.)

Today I got told my my douche bag of a soon to be ex brother in law said and did to my sister. So... if you suddenly hear I'm in jail... it would be because I went after his damn ass. I've not liked the guy since day one when my sister started going out with him and as time went I... yep. I hate his damn guts. Then, also today after the above... looks like my co-worker is going to get fired. Why? Because the main "boss" of the location where I work won't stand up for her damn employees. I could really go into on how I feel but I'm not posting that here or anywhere else. If I know you and you want to know, then note me, instant message me, email me, w/e. Not discussing it here even though I seriously don't give a damn anymore. Once I get my house, I'm looking for a new job and I'm out of there. I'm done.
NOW to top this whole FABULOUS day off... I wear Pherrick to a Christmas event my neighbor is having with Santa and everything. "Helping out" as one of his "helpers" at it. Having a blast, all kinds of fun, get home, take off Pherrick's head and... HIS SOFT FUZZY FUR LOOKS LIKE FAUX LAMB'S WOOL NOW! How? Because my idiot neighbor had the heat on full blast in this outside shed/tent thingy he has set up. Without realizing it, I ended up standing in front of one of the VENTS!

Meltdown...
General | Posted 14 years ago...was not fun... nope... not one bit. What's worse is that my boyfriend had to bear witness to it. He's never seen me breakdown and all but fall apart like that before... and in the car no less. Thankfully we were parked because we were getting gas. -_-;
I needed a serious mental and emotional break this past Sunday. My original plans fell through and I had no backup plans because that was all I had planned to do that day was plan A. I knew I was heading for a meltdown if I didn't get the break.
I didn't get it.
I'm just now able to post this journal and was just finally late today able to text two people back, but it's all I can manage right now. I'm still not fully re-coop'd from my meltdown... the monotony of work has helped a little if just because it's a familiar day to day routine. -_-;
Also an update, the house I had been looking at getting, about three hours after my meltdown I called my realtor and told him I didn't want it anymore. Back to searching, again.
Thankfully the new lender I'm working with, after only two days, already has me pre-approved. It took my last lender 3 months for whatever fucked up reason and the last lender was just for a conventional loan, the one I'm with now is for a 203k loan which is a type of FHA loan that gives you fix it up funds since in the price range I can actually afford, anything I look at is going to be in need of some repairs.
Since 203k is a type of FHA loan, which has a lot of red tape, especially when compared to a conventional loan, let me ask this: Why the HELL did it take my other lender 3 MONTHS to get me pre-approved and this guy took 2 DAYS?!
Once again I re-iterate: JACKASS!
Side note: Hoping for that emotional and mental break this weekend... even though Friday is going to be a real rough day for me...

He knew SIX MONTHS AGO what kind of loan I probably actually needed. Then today when I FINALLY met with him in person, we talk, and talk, and TALK and he eventually finally tells me he really wishes we could've talked sooner because the loan we talked about MONTHS AGO "with 100% certainty is the right fit" for me.

So... loan commitment date is THIS FRIDAY! DECEMBER 9! Guess what I don't have? WTF!?! Now he's connecting me to a DIFFERENT lender who deals with the type of loan I need and I HAVE to get a loan commitment date and a new closing date from HIM now!

So, the new guy is actually on top of things. Called me at like, literally 8:15 this morning while I was getting ready for work. We talked while I finished getting ready and until I was almost at work. So that's the good news...
BAD NEWS:
Loan commitment date is now roughly January 13 instead of December 9. Closing while be, HOPEFULLY January 27. Also have to have a HUD inspector come in and look at the house and have my general contractor with him so that they can have an itemized list for the loan so they know a rough figure of what my total mortgage is going to be so I can make needed repairs and updates.
So yeah... everything got pushed back a month roughly... I am NOT happy about this. I wanted MY new house keys to be dangling from my fingers on Christmas. ;_;

Myself and another friend of mine were asked at Pirate Fest while we were running around as Servane and Pherrick (it was planned to have Pherrick go the last day, but not Servane, it worked out though) if we would like to work Lanes at Ren Faire next year! :D Lanes workers are basically Street Performers, and from what the guy told us (the treasure of the Board no less!) is that we would actually get paid for this! WOOT!

While the head I have right now for Servane whom I purchased from the talented
regalwolfstudios last year is still in wonderful shape and fun to play around in and gets fantastic feedback from people... the current head isn't conducive to St. Louis summers! *head desk*

I need to find out who can make a Servane 3.0 that won't cause my helper to die of heatstroke within twenty minutes but has a similar look to the current head, toony follow me purple eyes, moving jaw, pink nose, and white fur. O.o; Here's the other thing though... it has to be someone who's willing to take payments, is affordable (i.e. not $1k for just a head!), and can have it completed absolutely no later than the end of April 2012 as St. Louis Ren Faire starts about mid May and I want the head in time to show staff what it looks like and how it works so that they're on top of things in case one of us starts to get hot. We already have a spotter btw. :P She's excited over it as she doesn't seem to want to be in Guard next year anyway. XD

General | Posted 14 years agoOk, so, just got a voicemail from ichirp earlier today while I was at work... and it looks like I might need another room mate for MFF. Chirp isn't sure if he can make it as some things came up and funds are tight right now.

I'm looking for another possible roomie.
I would prefer the roomie to be Female and not a drinker. The room will have a balcony but the room itself is non smoking. So be sure you tightly close the sliding doors if you need a smoke! Smoke as in cigarettes, no drugs please. I work for a bank and I rather like my job for the most part. =/ Also, this is NOT a party room! If the lights in the main part of the room are off and it's night time, someone is trying to sleep!

I have very common sense rules for the room, they're not rocket science and it's based on pure respect for the people you're rooming with. =/
1) Please pitch in for the room costs. This would be greatly appreciated especially since I hadn't planned on booking a room myself this year.
2) Feel free to bring your laptop, just keep in mind that if you use the wireless internet and you're the only one using it, you're the one paying for it. Last year it was $10 per day...
3) If you bring someone back to the room with you and I am not there, ask them to wait in the hall. I don't want anyone's stuff disappearing for any reason. If I'm in the room, feel free to ask if you can bring them in. More often than not, if I am THERE I will say yes.
4) No room parties! I have a room so I have someplace to sleep, relax, eat, and hang out with select people I know in a calmer atmosphere. There's also the fact that I am NOT about to be held responsible for any possible damages caused because the party got out of hand and I am NOT about to be the one to pay for those damages. =/
As I said, it's common sense stuff. =/
Also, fyi while I'm thinking of it, I'm going to have a cooler or a mini fridge if I can get it from the hotel for us to use. HOWEVER, it is myself, Bixx-Katt , hillelah in the room and Hillelah is VERY allergic to Pork. So if you bring any lunch meat to share or even for yourself, no pork, at ALL. This is no joke. I love my sis and I don't want to have to run her to the hospital because someone brought pork into the room. If you want to order it in the restaraunt on the main floor or eat it elsewhere, that's fine. Just be sure to wash your hands before you come back to the room. I might be overprotective on this (not to mention paranoid)... but I'd rather be safe than sorry. =/

ichirp earlier today while I was at work... and it looks like I might need another room mate for MFF. Chirp isn't sure if he can make it as some things came up and funds are tight right now.SO!
I'm looking for another possible roomie.
I would prefer the roomie to be Female and not a drinker. The room will have a balcony but the room itself is non smoking. So be sure you tightly close the sliding doors if you need a smoke! Smoke as in cigarettes, no drugs please. I work for a bank and I rather like my job for the most part. =/ Also, this is NOT a party room! If the lights in the main part of the room are off and it's night time, someone is trying to sleep!

I have very common sense rules for the room, they're not rocket science and it's based on pure respect for the people you're rooming with. =/
1) Please pitch in for the room costs. This would be greatly appreciated especially since I hadn't planned on booking a room myself this year.
2) Feel free to bring your laptop, just keep in mind that if you use the wireless internet and you're the only one using it, you're the one paying for it. Last year it was $10 per day...
3) If you bring someone back to the room with you and I am not there, ask them to wait in the hall. I don't want anyone's stuff disappearing for any reason. If I'm in the room, feel free to ask if you can bring them in. More often than not, if I am THERE I will say yes.
4) No room parties! I have a room so I have someplace to sleep, relax, eat, and hang out with select people I know in a calmer atmosphere. There's also the fact that I am NOT about to be held responsible for any possible damages caused because the party got out of hand and I am NOT about to be the one to pay for those damages. =/
As I said, it's common sense stuff. =/
Also, fyi while I'm thinking of it, I'm going to have a cooler or a mini fridge if I can get it from the hotel for us to use. HOWEVER, it is myself,
Bixx-Katt , hillelah in the room and Hillelah is VERY allergic to Pork. So if you bring any lunch meat to share or even for yourself, no pork, at ALL. This is no joke. I love my sis and I don't want to have to run her to the hospital because someone brought pork into the room. If you want to order it in the restaraunt on the main floor or eat it elsewhere, that's fine. Just be sure to wash your hands before you come back to the room. I might be overprotective on this (not to mention paranoid)... but I'd rather be safe than sorry. =/Edit:

This is partly because I'm bored. :P I've always liked Rapidash and Arcanine (Yes, Pokemon! Ho-shit!) and I hope to eventually make one as a suit. However, the question is... which Pokemon (doesn't have to be one of the ones I just mentioned) should I eventually make at some point and/or which one has a style/personality that fits me best? XD

General | Posted 14 years agoSo... yeah... to my knowledge, I'm still rooming with jettabenton1985 and lynx on Thursday night... and on Friday and Saturday night I'm rooming with a couple friends who are showing up on Friday and leaving Sunday... however...
Is there anyone with floor space or bed space for Sunday night? ><; I'm not driving six hours by myself back home in the dark Sunday night. >.>; Falling asleep at the wheel is the LAST thing I want to do! ><; I was going to room with Bixx on Sunday night... but something came up with her room so that's out it looks like. =/
As it is, since I'm more or less moving from room to room throughout the convention just so I have a place to crash at night, I'm probably going to be all but living out of my car, trying to avoid sleeping in it! XD
Edit: Upon looking over the prices, I might just say to heck with it and book a room... but then I would need no more than three other people who WILL help pay for the room and I would need the cash upon their arrival so that I could give it to the desk clerk immediately. I'm arriving Thursday day and leaving Monday morning.
