So... I have a Fennec Fox foam head base I commissioned from  isabellaprice and was going to fur it with the extra 2" pile snow white fur I have from D.F. and use it as yet ANOTHER partial for my fullsuit I made.

I found some short plush that when looked at from one angle it's pale pink, look at it from another angle and it's kind of a chocolate mauve color. The fur is a shiny pink with dark gray under coating and looks AWESOME! I bought it to make tails with (which I still am going to do) and fell in love with it the more I looked at it. Managed to find some uber cheap D.T. at Home Depot ($1.88 for a roll of 40 yards, how can you beat THAT?!) and got 3 rolls of that. Going to go to the thrift store in a bit and get some crappy clothing so that I can make a DTD because I decided that I DO want this suit to be form fitting. Her chest, belly, toes, fingers, and underside of her tail and part of her ears and muzzle are going to be white and the rest of her will be the pink fur I found. REALLY need to get a reference made of her despite that I can see her in my head, I would like something to actually look at. OMG... she's going to be a Sparkle Fennec and ADORBALE!!! SQUEE!!!

Now I just need a name. *_*;;

I need to get up as much as I possibly can in order to get said item. So here's my proposal to you guys. I have 5 different colors of fur... well, until after my Fennec Fox head base comes in from  isabellaprice I only have 4 colors...

Tails. I'm selling them. I'll will take a pic of the four colors I have tonight. I'm thinking about running to the local fabric store and getting more fur of other colors. Only going to get 1 yard of each, BUT I'm not going to run out and get more unless I have interest! So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me if you are interested!

I'm thinking $20 each, 2' in length, polyfil stuffed. $5 shipping in the US only, tracking and insurance is extra. They will have fur or elastic belt loops on them, I will leave that up to the buyer. Elastic will be a $1 extra though, let me know if that sounds ok. They will all be hand stitched to assure good stitching.

Lookit what I got!!! Go to my gallery! GO! GOGOGOGOGOGO!!!! I've never won an award for ANY of my past costumes so I entered in the Novice class, which is what you're supposed to do if you've never won before. *spazzes* I bought a Mad Hatter's Hat, pinned it to my head, came up with a skit and said it was my own version of the Chesire Cat. The judges LOVED it! The one judge... omg... she was actually tickled pink that I had actually shaped and trimmed the toes on my feetpaws. XD And was really impressed with what I did to the bottom of them to keep the fur on the feet and make them last longer! SQUEE!!!! They loved it so much that they all agreed that I deserved to skip right over Novice and go straight to Journeyman! I feel so honored!

Ok, so, here's the thing... I like my suit... really... I honestly do... BUT I'm getting a bit tired of being called a Bunny when I'm in it because the face shape apparently looks like a bunny... ><;

Does anyone know who would be best for talking to about commissioning to rebuild/make a new kitty head? O.o; Especially someone who might knock the price down a bit if I send them the fur I want used and extra foam...? I want the follow me eyes and moving jaw... the gray pony tail that my head piece currently has is NOT a must... >.>; It was my bad attempt at making a mane. ><; BLARGH.

Not looking at having this done immediately... would be awesome if I could commission someone in the next few months and have the head by my birthday since I'm going to a Con that weekend (October 1).

So... I've got a lot of extra fur from my suit left over that's laying around and not doing anything right now despite the fact that I was going to use it to make a dog tail and a dog head... but... monies... I needs them... BADLY!

My loss is your gain...? Maybe? Would anyone be interested in purchasing tails from me if I made some and put them up for sale? The white fur is the really soft cushy kind and not cheap. So depending on the size of the tail, the prices would probably start at $10 each. Keep in mind I do NOT machine sew my tails. The sewing machine just tries to eat the fur if I do. I find handstitching to be relaxing at times and a bit more rewarding.

So if anyone is interested in the slightest bit or knows someone who might be, point them in this direction and let me know! Keep in mind, I only take payments through PayPal! I know some/many of you don't have/use it, but I'm sorry, I won't take payments any other way. I'm not comfortable giving out my address to people I've never met before for money order or check payments. I can ship internationally, but please keep in mind you'll pay more for shipping than what the tail is probably worth.

Also, if I do get someone from out of the US wanting to purchase one, I will NOT ship without tracking and insurance. It is in your right to decline this offer, but I will NOT be held responsible if the package never gets to you. Once it's out of my hands, it's beyond my control. So if the package gets lost and you never receive it, you have been warned, I will make you a new tail, BUT you will have to pay for it again at full price. Fur suiting is one of those hobbies...

Well... sadly... the outing was a flop. ; ; Only two other people showed up and one of them showed up only about two hours or so before we were originally thinking about leaving to begin with. Needless to say that as a result, I didn't really feel like suiting up. I think once the third person of our "group" showed up, we only stayed maybe another hour and then left. =/

I'm hoping that the next outing is a LOT better! We'll find out I guess. Just need to figure out when/where to have the next outing... was considering a Friday night outing in The Loop on Delmar. I'll have to post it on the A.R.F. boards and see what happens I guess.

Also! I -will- be going to Anime St. Louis which is at the Gateway Center in Collinsville this year. More than likely I'll be wandering around on Saturday in suit, I'm not entirely sure yet. I do plan on putting my suit in the Masquerade and I'm getting ready to make a new head and tail for it. I was going to try to do a Reindeer for Christmas but I got behind on it and it fell through. SO, I'm going to try to make a dog tail/head asap to wear at the con along with my Sabertooth Kitten tail/head. I'll post progress pics once I actually start on it.

Mom and I are going to be working on what is now a spare bedroom in my house and a storage room for junk and get it cleaned out to turn into a craft room. YAY! *excited tail wag* I can't wait for us to get it cleaned out and fixed up! I wanna start my new head asap! D:

Old Fashioned Christmas Festival

December 4th, 5th & 6th

Old Fashioned Christmas Festival featuring Candlelight Tour of Historic Homes! Luminaries will light your way through Kimmswick during our annual Christmas Festival. Horse drawn carriage rides, visit Santa, strolling carolers, and entertainment throughout the village. Information to come on how to purchase tickets for House Tour. Shops will be open late: 10am – 9pm. Restaurants are open until 7pm.

I would love, love, LOVE to get a group of us together in suit plus spotters/camera people to attend this! I plan on going on the 6th since it's a Sunday and I don't work on Sundays at all ever because of where I work. So air out your suit, pull out your Santa hats &/or scarves, don't forget your bells, and let's do this! Also, be ready to see Servane as something other than a Sabertooth Kitten. ;) Going to start working on another head asap. I'm posting this now so that there is easily a few/couple weeks notice for everyone. That means plenty of time to figure out and mark in your calendars this particular date! Also please keep in mind this is all weather pending! If it's raining that day, I still would like to try to go but I won't be in suit and if I am, it will be the partial and not the full. So mark your calendars and start getting things together! Christmas is my favorite time of the year, you have been warned! ;)

As the time to gather and head down creeps closer, I'll be announcing the time I would like for us to meet and we'll start arranging any needed rides.

I'm rather proud of myself actually. I didn't tell the idiot to try to use proper grammar. I didn't call him fifty kinds of moron for his comment, despite the fact that the guy only has two vids on his account and they're both of beer chugging... I bit my tongue and told him

As tempting as it was to get Furry Fury on him, I figured it'd be better to actually try to use some logic and see if I can just make the alcohol befuddled dipstick about 3" tall. Makes me feel good about myself that I can actually form a proper sentence, spelling, grammar, and all. :) ;) Not to mention the fact that I don't have any beer chugging vids on any of my accounts and never will. ;)

I won't be in fursuit the entire time since I'm possibly going to be doing a couple group cosplays with some friends, but I still think there needs to be at least a total of four of us bare minimum there in suit at one point or another! Invasion of the Furries! XD Lot of "faithful" anime freaks hate Furries, or claim to, yet they swarm like bees to honey when they see someone in suit! LIARS! XD And yes, I'm in a mood atm, and will really be in a mood shortly. :3 *grabs her booze*

FINALLY! My first fursuit is finally complete! --- Sorta. XD There are still several details missing, however, I managed to finish the body suit at 2am this morning and was able to wear it to the Japanese Festival at Missouri Botanical Gardens. Really could've used cooler weather though. ; ; Wow is this thing ever hot to wear! O.o; I did my best to stay hydrated though. 2 bottles filled half way and then frozen over night and more water put in them in the morning and into a cooler. Also wore a belt bag with an ice pack in it at my lower back to try to help regulate my temp. I really need to get a cool suit or vest... ; ; Just finding one I can afford is the problem though. ><; BLARGH!

Head is nearly completed, finishing it tonight. Still have to put the zipper in the other foot paw and starting putting the body suit together. Knowing how things go, I'll probably be up until way late trying to finish this tonight. ><; Ah well I guess. =/ As long as everything turns out right, I'll be happy. Still trying to decide on whether or not to put the zipper in the front or the back. ><; Considering just putting it in the front so I can get in and out of it a little quicker/faster.

SQUEE! I got the pattern cut today! And I have plenty of fur left over to finish the head! YAYS!!!! Now I'm sitting here typing this in and covered in white fur. XD Ah well. :P Shit happens so what can you do? XD

Also, I'm debating changing Servane's eye color from purple to silver. Gods only know if I'll be able to see out of them if I do that since I'll be using paint instead of markers. ><; Well, guess I'll take some spare and experiment and see how the silver looks on top of the purple. >.>; And see if I can still see through it then. :P XD

Well, looks like I finally have the test suit adjusted to a decent fit. It's going to be loose and not form fitting like it should be, but I want this finished and I can always take it in later. =/ Hopefully I can get the pieces cut tonight before I hit the sack and then I can finish the head piece with the left over fur which is what it's waiting on since I ran out of the spare I'd bough specifically for the head. At least the spare covered MOST of the head, the feet paws and the gloves. Thank the gods for small favors!

Point of advice: Do NOT buy Simplicity's fursuit costume pattern. It's SUCKS! I am so utterly glad I used the $1 per yrd crap fur I have in my basement. From the waist down is fine, the waist up, I'm literally choking to death because it has no neck on it. Sure, the pattern SHOWS a neck, but once you cut it out and start sewing it, there isn't one there. ><; Now I have to try to make a pattern from scratch or find a different one to work with. So much for hoping to have this done in time for the Japanese Festival! GRAGH!

Well, after much deliberation, I've decided that I'm going to make the feet, paws, and suit as seperate pieces instead of making them all one piece as originally planned. Realized it would be much easier to clean my suit if it gets dirty if it's not connect to the paws or feet. Now I just have to figure out the digigrade legs still and get this test suit made! ><; DOH!

My fur arrived today! Yay! I also managed to finish my feet paws! Now I just have to cut the pattern, get it sewed, and attach the feet to the suit. ><; With any luck, I'll have everything but the head completed by this week. *crosses fingers* And I looked over the char I'm making live in game... her mane is LAVENDER, not GRAY. DANGIT! Shit... -_-; And her fur is silver with white undercoating and a white underbelly and paws... guess I'm going to have to invest in an airbrush to correct this later. GRAGH!!!
