Posted 13 years agoWell folks, I wanna keep this as light as possible but...
Well I got the call yesterday about my dad. He died at noon yesterday in his sleep. I wanted to give myself some time to calm down from the initial shock, so I didn't make a journal.
We're having a service in his memory sometime next week.
On a nicer note, though, Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you guys eat enough candy to make you puke! I'm gonna be handing out a little bit of candy to any kids that wander around to our apartment, ringin' doorbells. (Don't worry, I won't eat every single kid... :3~ )
Either way, have a fun time, be merry, and you don't have to worry too much about me. I'm gonna be okay ^^

Posted 13 years agoPretty depressing journal. Feel free to skip this if you don't want to read about family members dying and such...
... In case any of you haven't been following my twitter account, things haven't been looking so swell.
On Tuesday of last week, my dad was omitted to the hospital with a liver failure and urinary tract disease. I went to visit him on Wednesday and came to discover that he was already showing signs of pre-death dementia. I'd already seen this about a week before my grandpa died earlier this year, so I knew he didn't have long to live.
It hit me pretty hard.
So, I stayed with my family for 3 days and then came back that Friday night to head back to work. Fast forwards to today.
On my lunch break, my sister gave me a call, telling me that dad got dropped off in a Hospice Nursing home. That pretty much means they dropped him off to die, pretty much.
The doctors have already predicted that he has a 10% chance of seeing the sunrise tomorrow morning, so i'm already preparing myself for the worst.
It's nerve wracking, just waiting around to hear the inevitable call bearing bad news... I feel like a wreck, I had to call out of work, and i'm probably not going in tomorrow, especially if my dad doesn't make it through the night.
My mom and sister have been really supportive, and offered to come pick me up so I can be with them. I felt that, even though i miss them, i'd rather not have to see them under these depressing circumstances. Would rather just wait for this to blow over and then maybe see them at the memorial service. Not to mention, I don't want to see my dad dead... I don't think I could take it.
As of right now, i'm pretty lonely...
johnlobo is up in Georgia seeing his family, and I miss him terribly right now... *sigh*
Anywho, that's about it. Sorry to bring you guys down, but I had to let this out.
I want to thank everyone again who had sent me their notes of support on twitter. You guys are really awesome.

So, instead of tossing oodles of unnecessary dollars into it to try and fix it, my mom and sister are coming by Wednesday morning to pick me up and bring me to Daytona to try and find a new car at the place i got this poor car. Frankly, it was a bit of a junker to begin with, so i'm hoping i can find a much sturdier car... Ah well...
Wish me luck finding a car I can afford D:

Posted 13 years agoI just feel like I've lost touch with the fandom and with my friends here, too. It makes me pretty depressed, knowing that I used to be doing so much better, so I'm striving to comment more, fav more, and draw more. I just don't want to sit back and be on cruise control anymore :C

AND my hours at work arent' really coming in strong at work...
So johnlobo suggested to me that I should do Iron artist
And that does sound liek a good idea!
I'd actually love to do something like that.
Make a hundred sketched, ten bucks a pop.
I just...
...well i'm worried about people actually wanting some.
Heck, i'm not sure if anyone still remembers that i draw.
But I wonder who would be interested...?

The gameplay is actually pretty solid, too!
It's definitely a fun romp and it's worth your time to play it!
johnlobo bought it and i've been watching him play for the last two hours and it definitely gets better as it goes along :D
There's even a zombie teacher that turns out is a furry. XP

Posted 13 years agoUghuuuu.... All this dropping johnlobo off at work at 10pm then picking him up at 7am, then going in to work from 10am to 6pm is makin' me soooooo tired!
Been goin to bed so early... and i've been wanting to nap throughout the day! D:

Made it out of my old house in Daytona and now i'm comfortably enjoying the ceiling fan in my new room at
marcusquinn 's apartment.
Aaah... got three days before I start my interview with my job transfer. But that should be a cakewalk.
In the meantime, still gotta switch my mailing address.... AND gotta find new insurance while i'm up here D:

Posted 13 years agoLast night at home and I thought i'd be able to sleep with a smile on my face.... with wonderful memories to look back on, and everyone would be somber but happy to see me leave on my own for the first time
What a naive sentiment for me to think.
Nope. My night only ends in my mother and sister and her deadbeat fiance screaming hard enough to chuck their lungs out through their mouths, cursing eachother out and wishing harm and illness upon eachother.
Eesh
I haven't even left yet and the house is already falling apart.
Just smile and wave... smile and wave....

Posted 13 years agoWelp, starting tomorrow I begin my move to Kissimee/Saint Cloud, FL. I'll be joining marcusquinn at his apartment there, where I will hopefully be living most of my days! Then, two days later, johnlobo will move down from Savannah and live with us!

No this isn't an email, it was a message I got from Windows Live Messenger when I tried to sign in.
I sent all the information I needed to verify that it was my account... now I guess I wait to hear back =/
