I got a DM from FA saying some of my tags were removed due to inaccuracy, which I find particularly silly. I also find their warning that future infractions may beget penalization equally silly.
Allow me to explain:
There's an image of Mike engaging in fellatio. The image had the tags: "male human pokemon typhlosion penis cock tongue gay maw fellatio blowjob orgasm cum look at that smug boi right there"
No one is keyword searching "that" and getting flashbanged by this. No one is looking up "boi" and getting surprised to see a male character (though I find it hard to believe anyone is using the "boi" tag in general. And yet, the tags "that, boi, right, there" were all removed and I was notified of this change. They cite the following rule as the reason why:
Upload Policy, Section 1.2 - Submission Detail
Keywords, Ratings, Categories, Themes, and Species are used to define images as they appear in Fur Affinity's search engine. Abuse of these (misleading, inaccurate, or false) is not allowed. This does not apply to the Gender section. Submission file type should correspond to submission type. Intentionally listing inaccurate keywords in the description is not allowed.
My tags were not "misleading" anyone into seeing a different type of illustration; they were funny, but relevant. My tags were not "inaccurate"; they were part of a sentence which directly described the character's appearance. My tags were not "false" for the exact same reason as previously mentioned. I intentionally do not use tags which can be used as keywords for other fetishes specifically for this reason. For example: In an image of Mike eating food, I wouldn't say "look at this fat boi" in the tags, because I know "fat" would be commonly searched for as a fetish that my upload would not reflect.
I'm not going to step on FA's desire to want a more clean and understandable pool of tags, but don't come after me like I'm breaking a rule, guys. C'mon.
Anyway, if I get another message about it and they penalize me then I'll have to manually remove all the jokes from all of my uploads, despite them not breaking the rule as it was written. That would suck. I got rid of the ones for my new Nash folder, but I really don't wanna spend 30+ minute curating the rest of an online porn gallery because some overzealous staff member doesn't have a sense of humor.

Thankfully, the preexisting ones aren't in violation of anything as they aren't misleading and didn't include popular tags that would cause my stuff to pop up in other kinks, but my extremely goofy behavior has been curbed...

Or rather, I'm learning to. I uploaded that [braixen animation], and I'm working on a beanier one with a pandaren (just a generic model, not my OC - though I'd never rule that out), but... would there be an interest in supporting me for that if I keep animating? For instance, a couple bucks a month to join a Discord, vote on my next project, have high resolution - and possibly extras, etc... ? Or maybe just a KoFi would be preferable to people? Just thinking in terms of ways I could justify probably learning Blender and dedicating more time to this if it's something people want, but not for a whole lot of money, because I don't want to milk anyone's wallet.
As a side-note to not wanting to charge people lots of money: Would any artists want to do a trade? I'd write for art - just saying~! I am quite particular with styles, so I apologize if someone comments or reaches out and I have to politely decline. But, if you or anyone you know wants some scandalous literature in exchange for shading some patas for me, it's something to think about!

Thanks to the rule clarifications, I have no reason to remove or delete any content from my page.
And to celebrate, I can finally upload all that teen pregnancy vore I've secretly been commissioning!
Yes, that's right, that's explicitly allowed now, as per [the rules I was linked] in my Trouble Ticket!
Unfortunately, because eevee looks like a baby (???), I'll have to redesign an on-model OC I was making.
Thank goodness we're taking steps to avoid sexualizing minors, amirite? Now get in my belly, infant children!
(I shouldn't have to label this as satire, but to be clear, I hate all of this.)

The recent site update has got a lot of people talking!
Personally, I'm all in on wanting cub shit out of here, BUT--! There's an issue. A lot of stuff can easily been seen as problematic with FurAffinity's new rules, even if it's a monster with a completely nonhuman body. Pikachu can be seen as "childlike" when depicted too cutely. Riolu depicted normally can be just as well. Yoshis and Koopas are debatable, but the depiction my source gave was a no-no to administration.
If you're wondering where I got this information, check the page of
argonvile for the most recent (as of writing) journal they posted.
I've submitted a ticket discussing smeargle, weavile, and scrafty, and I'll keep people posted regarding any reply I get. The unfortunate situation I'm in is that it might be necessary for me to delete a good few uploads, depending on the reply I get. None of my characters are children, nor have they ever been depicted as childlike in nature ("rhythm, you have it or you--"). And yet, these are naturally small bipedal creatures. Evidently, that may well be grounds for a ban-able offense.
Again, even pikachu has been targeted.
I'll keep you all posted!

As I said in a comment, [this tweet] claims that no species as a whole are unfit to post, but a staff member has already said to ArgonVile verbatim that "Riolu would cause this image to be removed. It's an anthro and has a very short torso, making it appear as though it's a child," as well as saying, "Cubone's representation would also warrant a removal."
While I don't always vibe with Argon's style, in both cases here, the pokemon appeared to me as cartoonishly illustrated, but rather on-model. Riolu and cubone are stubby to begin with, and stylizing monsters to make them look cute doesn't make them look like children. So... it seems like they're saying "We don't blanket-ban" and also "this one is banned".
In reaching out to staff, I've offered my services to chat with them and try to come up with a less hazy description of content that would constitute an offense. Regardless, I'll still keep you posted!

Apparently, there's an internal discussion to use "head-height", as in how many heads tall something is.
That's just... a shitload of pokemon and digimon, lmao. So much for "no blanket bans".
We'll see where it goes still, as nothing is confirmed.

No, today is the birth of my second page, which I'm making for those lovely commissions that people have paid me for~! Of course, the content might vary wildly, and won't always contain themes I personally align with. For example, I might post macro or weight gain content that I would have been commissioned to write one day. :0 But, if you're okay with being subjected to other people's commissions - which have all so far been foot/paw centric, then come take a look!

You'd think that would be good, as 1280 by default was a little antiquated, and 1440x2650 is better after all.
But you can no longer re-upload images in order to get their full res out there if it's higher than the default.
This is because FA wants to make money, and I completely understand and do not blame them...
But even the paid cap isn't as high-resolution as many of the pictures in my gallery.
I used to direct people here for that, because this site had my descriptions AND high res pics.
Now, make sure to look on e6 for the high res versions of my pics, hahah!
Guess I'll be directing traffic away from the site, ironically. :\

After speaking with my first client, I've been doing some thinking~!
For anyone who might commission me if my prices were lower, what prices were you thinking might be more preferable?
I won't sell myself short, don't worry, but I'm still new to this whole thing. Feedback is good and totally welcomed!
One thought I had was going to a flat $12 a page, no cent-per-word comparison.
Another thought was 3 cents per word, which is about $10.50 a page, or 25% less than current.
If you're thinking lower, don't be shy to say as much! Even if I don't go with the idea, it's not like I'll be offended.

I've been told by a few people at this point that I could easily sell written commissions.
After all, the folks who compliment my descriptions don't have to say anything, and yet, they're kind enough to remind me that I am indeed working on a degree with a focus in Creative Writing.
As a result, I've decided to take these recommenders of mine up on their idea. I'd like to open myself up for written commissions!
Examples of my writing can be found in the descriptions here and here for SFW examples, or here and here for NSFW examples.
I'd be mostly interested in writing descriptions for uploads that might benefit from some flavor or short stories of up to around 10 pages.
Other ideas for how I can apply my writing to suit your needs are something I'm willing to hear out! (Comic dialogue, proofreading, etc...)
Given the nature of my gallery, it's obvious what type of fiction I would prefer to write, but I'll have a comprehensive theme list in an upcoming official Comm Opening upload.
Feel free to ask about topics or premises in the meantime via Notes!
As for pricing, I was thinking $0.03 per word, or $0.04 per word if the topic requires (what I deem) substantial research to appropriately portray characters, abide by lore, so on and so forth.
Considering my descriptions are always one jam-packed page long and a little over 300 words, those prices put a very busy page at either ~$9 or ~$12 USD, depending on difficulty.

I'd love to do a poll for what you folks think would be a good thing to get for 500 Watchers, but I don't know what I'd put on it! So please, feel free to suggest things you want to see and discuss your favorite ideas!

I'd love to do a poll for what you folks think would be a good thing to get for 500 Watchers, but I don't know what I'd put on it! So please, feel free to suggest things you want to see and discuss your favorite ideas!
I might make something like a Strawpoll or Google Form or some nonsense if there's enough of a debate between any two or more ideas.
No guarantees that any will be chosen, but it's always nice to know what the wonderful folks who have followed this page like to see! :D

The End of the Era

Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds.
I wanted to thank everyone who favorited, watched, or commented, in any combination or single instance of those three. It seriously means a lot to me that I've gotten such a strong reaction to the commissions I've gotten. I can't recall if I've mentioned this before, but Mike is a character that I've had for almost 8 years now. It's only been during the last 10 months that I've gotten all these lovely commissions from all manner of artists, all of which were a pleasure to work with! For years, this character lived as an idea in my head, and now that I'm able to flesh out his background, his life, his family, etc., and make people smile, it's an unrivaled payoff. But enough gushing.
There's a change coming!
The last three weeks have been nice, but I've run out of my commission backlog. Now, don't go believing I'm done posting or on hiatus just because of this title; there will definitely be more soon. There are also some recent commissions that have not been uploaded to this page, but were uploaded by the artists (check my faves). Since I don't want to spam the search results for "typhlosion", here's what I'm going to do:
If an artist uploads a comm before me, I'm waiting a week to upload my version with the description. I won't wait if I upload it first; then the onus of result-spamming is on them, heheheh! I'm sure not many folks mind seeing duplicates on the search page, but I'd also like to let artists have their deserved attention without splitting it between us, which is another reason why I'll wait if they're first. As a result of running dry on pictures as well as this change, the daily schedule ends here.
Thank you all again for enjoying my silly little posts, and I'll be back to uploading after a short break under this new week-gap rule. If you see it in my favorites, it's on the docket.

Rating Advice?
Posted 4 years agoI tend to consider paw-focus images "Mature" because of their obvious purpose on this website, but what do others think? More blatant things like "An Offer He Can't Refuse" would stay Mature, but things like "The Bet" would stay marked General.

Posted 4 years agoWould you all prefer I keep the upload times the same (between 10pm-12am EST)?
Or would anyone prefer to see it at a different time? Maybe closer to noon EST? Somewhere in-between?

Some of you who have seen these picture have decided I'm worth a Watch, and I appreciate that, so I'm getting your opinions! :D
I have... entirely too many pictures to throw in at once. After all, I don't want to overwhelm most of the first page if someone were to search "typhlosion" by date.
So! What's an upload rate anyone thinks would be good? I'm leaning towards one a day. If the picture is a two-parter, maybe both parts per day.
Should this be lengthened all the way to one a week? Shortened to two a day?
