Comic hiatus update
Posted 3 years agoUnfortunately the hiatus for my comic is taking longer than expected.
After taking some time off drawing (and being addicted to Legends Arceus) I wanted to pick up drawing the comic again, but couldn't find the sketch book in which I draw the pages and which has my sketches and the notes for all of the next ones in it anymore.
I fear it is still somewhere in one of my relatives house in the Netherlands.
At least, that's where I'm hoping it is.
I already asked my family if they could look for it and send it to me via the mail. But like me, they are quite slow with responding. ^^'
I really hope it is indeed somewhere there and that I didn't lose it somewhere, since that would be devastating.
I'm hoping I will be reunited with it soon, because I really want to continue again. :(
Until then I will draw some random art and work on commissions.

German speaking watchers?
Posted 4 years agoThis is probably a bit random, but I have recently moved to Germany.
Though I can understand almost all German perfectly fine, I am not confident at all in creating my own sentences and speaking it.
Talking to people in my own language already gives me quite the anxiety, and needing to do it in German now, really is hard for me.
I feel really silly whenever I attempt to speak it, because I can see the direct reaction people have to my probably very incorrect German. I feel like I sound very dumb with all my mistakes, so I just think way too long about all my sentences, which just makes the entire conversation awkward.
Talking German directly to someone really gives me a lot of anxiety and me being quite peopleshy by nature really isn't helping.
So now I'm just avoiding speaking it, out of fear of getting weird reactions, or people not understanding me, and that is the worst. Because now I feel like I don't even know how to make sentences for a basic conversation anymore.
So I was thinking, maybe I can start out just writing German with a few people I don't know to build some confidence, without the anxiety of doing it irl.
So, if you are a German speaker who would like to exchange messages with me about random stuff, or if you know someone who is; please! I really want to get rid of my insecurity and just being able to talk to people here, even when I make mistakes.

I was worried that FA wouldn't be the place for it, but idk
I'm actually not sure why I was worrying about that when I'm already posting weird nonsense comics like Mister Z. on here haha
I think my biggest worry is that people don't think the art is appealing since it's all draw very quickly and is a bit more sloppy than my usual art. (since I always draw it on the train and on the go)
I'll upload the Prologue today, and after that, to avoid spamming people's inboxes with only comic pages, I'll start by uploading 2 pages every Monday and Friday.

Posted 6 years agoSoooo, I don't think anyone here really follows me for my comic called Nescio, or even cares about it really, but I still feel like I should announce that it's gonna be on hiatus still for a loooong time.
I'm working on a pokemon mystery dungeon comic and Nescio will be on hiatus till I completed this pokemon comic (which'll take a looooong time I'm sure).
There's a lot of OC's I created to be in Nescio that I never showed on here because I didn't want to spoil them or the story, but at this rate I don't even know if most of them will even BE in the story anymore. So don't be surpised if in the near future I'll suddenly upload a batch of old random OC drawings, and Nescio-related drawings instead of my regular pokemon stuff ^^'

If you're one of my few watchers who care if I'm alive or not, then you're in luck 'cause this journal is for youuuuuuuu!
I'm writing this journal because I'm super horrible at being active on the internet and at replying to people's messages so they know I'm still alive!
So yeah, this is basically an update about meeeeeee for the small amount of people who are wondering why I'm always dead until I upload one thing and then die again.
I AM
a musician.
And I'm doing this super time consuming study to become an actual good musician.
Music is becoming such a big part of my live that I really don't feel like drawing anymore because whenever I have spare time, I'd much rather learn some new boring music related stuff than draw some cool new comic pages or whatever.
There are these rare occasions that happen sometimes where I don't feel like getting my ears raped by some hard-core classical tunes, and all this time I normally would spend on music would go to drawing stuff and being active on these sites, but those occasions are starting to appear less frequently.
BUT
I am totally feeling it right now, I feel like I should crap out some random drawings an throw em at this site!
However I wanted to post this journal first
Because I want to apologize to the watchers who are wondering if I left this site, or wondering if I'm still active

Instict or Valor?

I like Valors motive better, but I like pokémon Yellow and Insticts logo the best.
(And I like the idea of being the only Instict in my city haha, but Team Insticts motive doesn't resonate with me at all, while team Valors does! )
I'm taking this decision waaaay to seriously xD

This week will be my B-day, but for some weird reason I thought I was gonna turn 22 this year.
Well...
I'm not.
I'm turning 23 this week.
Apparently I've been telling people lies all year because I somehow completely forgot that I turned 22!
Haha, I've been telling people I was 21 for two years xD
And I didn't even notice until my father said that it'll be only a few days untill my 23rd xD
I'm such a dork omg
I'm also so old omg ;-;

Dit Verhaal title change?

But I recently found a bunch of old drawings and "beta comics" of it back when it was called Nescio.
Somehow I totally forgot that I used to call it that way and I have no idea why I later changed the title to Dit Verhaal. Especially since I actually like the name Nescio more.
Dit Verhaal is Dutch for This Story and Nescio is Latin for "I don't know" btw xD
Anyway Nescio sounds more memorable in my opinion, but I'm not sure if I should change the title back.

I never really 'hunted' them or looked for them. Al the ones I got myself were just luck and random.
But shiny CHARIZARD
I wanted that for like, FOREVER
So I was no-life-ish enough to want to soft-reset for it.
And no masuda method because I wanted/needed it on my firered/leafgreen
Since I'm not a hardcore shinyhunterperson I don't soft reset for it hardcore, like some people do
I just did it sometimes in the evening while watching tv, so yeah.
It kinda took me really, really, really, really, really, really, SERIOUSLY REALLY F*CKING LONG to get.

Aaand yeah. It took a few weeks before my mother agreed to buy a new one for me.
And now, I FINALLY have a new laptop! YAAAY
But unfortunately I'm still working on getting all my previous programs and stuff back.
And I can't find the site where I downloaded Photoshop anymore. D: I NEED PHOTOSHOP AAAAAAAAAAAA-
Also, my tablet hates this computer and doesn't want to connect with it so I still have to figure out why that is as well...

Sorry for being a little inactive lately, I'm still looking for a new study because I refuse to do no study at all next year.
So I'm really busy with doing all kinds of auditions and entrance exams and shit and looking for stuff I want to keep doing for the next 4 years.
So sorry if I'm not replying to you or talking to you or commenting on your works, that's not because I hate you or your art or something but just because I'm busy. :)

I'm super sorry that it's taking so long, I expected me to have time to make something like that when I posted that journal but I don't...
I will probably still make it, but I won't start making it until I'm sure about what I will do next year.
