I'm very sorry for not uploading anything for a while, but I figure it might be polite to let you all know why.
On this past Saturday night/Sunday I was doing a LOT of drawing. I actually stayed up all night Saturday and then went to an art meet on the Sunday. I didn't really stop drawing for the entire time and I really hurt my right hand. I'm just waiting for it to feel a bit better. All I can manage right now are really basic gesture sketches before my hand screams, "ABSOLUTELY NO WAI." and cramps like Hell.
So yes. Sorry about that, and thank you very much for your patience. Also, hello new watchers :} Hope to post something interesting soon!

Seems olmec needs a little money, and if you hurry you could get a really amazing deal. Seriously, $2 for that? How can you argue with that! They can do other things, such as character sketches. Their latest journal has more info.
They have very few watchers/page views, and deserve many many more. If for some reason you don't have $2, it couldn't hurt to check out their gallery! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Anyway, as you may have guessed I'm back from Geraldton. Have a bit of a cold, but I suspect I'll survive. Here's a photo of some ospreys we saw up there. I hope to start making some new pics soon :}

Hi fluffies!
Last night Darky aka ralarare drove down to Perth to help Tristanio and I get ABSOLUTELY plastered. Today, on a whim, my brother and I decided to invade HIS home town of Geraldton for a few days :}
I think we left at about 7pm and just now arrived, it's 2:20am here now.
Gavin and Darky are playing Perfect Dark as I type this.
On the way down we saw one dead roo (not our fault), one dead roo (our fault... D:*), a dead echidna, a dead fox kit, two rabbits, a live fox and three live kangaroos (one of which almost became 'dead roo: our fault #2'). FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN A REAL ECHIDNA IN PERSON... and it was all splattery and dead D: Oh well, Darky DID promise to show me an echidna but he never said anything about it being alive.
Geraldton also has moths the length of my hand. It's neat.

Part of the reason I mention this is I am very far from my scanner and art supplies, so no new drawings for a while dudes. Sorry. From the outskirts of Perth to Geraldton is about 424km or 263.4 miles.

Basically just wanted to spend a week or so exploring somewhere new :} Seemed like as good a time and place as any, and hanging with Darky's always fun! Might even go up to Kalbarri, not sure yet.
Only shame if, Jack is working all this week and could not join us D: Miss him already!

Anyway, you guys have fun and I promise to do the same. Toodles!

* The roo was dazzled by Darky's car headlights and bound into the front left headlight from the left side of the road (we drive on the left) and could not be avoided at 100km+ per hour. I was really loud and shook his car - scared the crap out of us as Gav and I never even saw the roo before we hit it. We went back to see if it was okay, but she was gone. A fairly young female. Seems she died instantly and relatively painlessly.

So champford expressed an interest in hearing Luen speak on my latest submission.
Please keep in mind this was recorded on a camera phone and the sound is a bit odd. You may have to turn up your speakers. Not sure.

An informant for the owls who had previously infiltrated the gryphon camp had made it back, barely alive. He spoke of the gryphon general's inspirational words, "SMASH YOU WITH ROCKS" and, despite being a traitor to gryphon-kind, the owl leader was sure she saw a spark of awe in the young gryffe's eye as he recalled the ceremony.

Muchi pondered the speech for the owls, resting her beak on her wing and staring wistfully into the night. She clicked her beak and sighed a heavy sigh of deep contemplation, carefully considering each buzz-word that came to mind. She knew people were prone to react to certain phrases; change, hope, light, righteous, valiant, courageous, freedom... But some others had to be handled with care. Words such as 'crusade' could divide the troops, and have some negative connotations that have to be taken into consideration.

Whatever speech she devised, it would have to stir the same patriotism that the gryphon generals' had earlier that night. The warriors of the sun were already physically superior to the owl troops, being much larger, and she needed something to make her own troops forget how one-sided the war was, even if they only forgot long enough to die for the cause.

Finally, she knew that she had summed her great speech up in two very powerful, beautiful words that could change the way we see war at all, let alone her small role to play. She turned to her people, raising her wings high to a chorus of cheering,

"Shut up."

I've had discussions with people before as to whether birds can be expressive.
So uh, when I did the expressions meme and sidriel said I should try to do one with owl photos to show how expressive they can be, I thought, why not?

Now I am aware I accidentally put 'pleased' there twice. One of those 'pleased' owls should be a 'triumph' owl. I'll let you decide which looks more like what.

None of those photos are mine so I cannot/will not post it as a submission, but I figure my watchers probably have a LITTLE interest in owls seeing as I draw them enough... So I wanted to share.
If you think one of those expressions isn't quite right, feel free to suggest a better one in the comments.

Some people have asked why I draw Muchi as both anthro with hair and quad/feral...
Um.
Because I like having her as both?
When I roleplay, I play Muchi as the quad/feral form. But I often draw her anthro so she can better interact with other anthros.
For example, my bf's anthro character would look sorta creepy making out with a non-anthro owl. lol
It's also sorta of my halfway point between real me and the owl character I guess.

She's not really a shapeshifter and I don't have a better explanation than this one, sorry.

Also Jack wants me to draw a joke image of his character making out with non-anthro Muchi now. Great :B

Well, a 'Majestic' is a delightfully derpy quad/feral version of your fursona, with a less-than-regal expression... Majestics can have simple accessories, such as scarves, collars, necklaces, bracelets, glasses, eye-patches... Up to you. Max of three accessories per Majestic, and if it's a detailed accessory I may need a reff.

Some examples of Majestics.

I sketched, then re-lined in Flash, and Jack was kind enough to animate it for me.
Flat colours, as it's sort of a test. Was wondering if I should do simple animations for commissions, but uh... Probably not, I don't have the patience for it.

The simple animation includes a very subtle breathing movement, and of course the little Zs moving about as Muchi snores. I think it's cute.
