The Berkley facility for researching hyenas has had their funding cut a couple of weeks ago. With that, they will begin euthanizing animals when the funds have run out. A handful of people are currently racing against the clock to move the remaining twenty animals to zoos or sanctuaries, build a new sanctuary, and relocate the hyenas. They are taking donations to keep the hyenas fed until they are re-homed. Those that are not adopted out, there is a sanctuary in the works, they will have a home, the people just need time to build it!. I...I love this.

Seeing this Adoptable thing going on, I'm pondering my own version. Perhaps Disownables. Pay me money and I'll never ever draw this character again, nor allow anyone else to. Maybe Euthanizables where you pay me and I feed the character to Tony-Ray.

This is, in part, because I somehow managed not to get by the table of every artist that I meant to. So I have a few dollars left in my art budget. Now...who should I commission? Any suggestions?

Here I am sitting in Minneapolis, with a few hours to kill. Anthrocon 2011 has came and went. I enjoyed it. There are numerous highlights but not many I feel like explaining. The drum circle on the roof of convention center was quite nice. In the middle of it, I noticed my BPPV had cleared up tremendously. I could move my head to the rhythm and not feel like the world was spinning. Thanks Wgg. Come drum for me :)

It was great seeing old friends. Even ran into some friends I'd not seen in over ten years. That was a nice reunion.

There were a lot of people I enjoyed meeting for a fir st time. They know who they are.

It was a great convention and free of drama. Despite all my fun, I'm glad its over. I got there Wednesday night and left this morning. Long long con. I'm ready to get home.

Despite being a long con, there still wasn't enough time to spend the time with those I wanted to. There's never enough time to be with friends. I just hope I see them again. I suspect I will.

It seems to be spending time with me at Anthrocon. Bleah.

I was going through some boxes of old stuff and I found an audio cassette that love interest way back in 1996 made me. She made me a mix-tape. For some of y'all, you're less likely to remember mix-tapes and more mix-CD's. Now its all down to play lists, which doesns't have the same mystique that a solid object like a cassette or CD has. Audio cassette mix-tapes were a bit tedious to make and maybe that time mean something to me.

I miss those days.

I want someone to make me a mix-tape...or at least a mix-list. Let's make this a group effort. Post a link to a song or two to this journal. Rather than something completely random, try and post something that reminds you of Mulefoot, my artwork, or somehow relates to something you'd really want me to hear.
