Happy birthday in heaven, MuscleWolf!
Posted 11 months agoI miss Mark. My MuscleWolf, Sooooo much. I was always an independent guy, who needed noone.. Then this doofus hit me up on furaffinity.net, asking about my artwork. I wasn’t at that time in a wheelchair at that time because I had to get a new hip. We talked for hours. For many months. Then I asked him if he would come and be my caregiver, and he said I wanna try because I like you. Somehow he got lost in the O’Hare Airport baggage area! (which I don’t know how he did that. Because if he walked to the middle aisle of the baggage aisle and just make a left he would’ve gone right out the door).
I drove around for five hours trying to find him. I even asked a policeman, and he helped me find Mark. Mark came to my house, and on the very first night because we were sleeping in a queen bed, I rolled over, and started to hug him. I never saw somebody shoot out of that bed so quickly run into the bathroom, and lock the door for over an hour! I knew he was shy, but I didn’t know how much. We got to know each other that week, and when I took him to the airport, one of the airport attendants called me and said “Your friend is here one day early. Can you come and get him?” I did.
I drove back and he jumped in the car and I never saw him so happy to be with me. That evening, we did a lot of cuddling and I remember snuggling him. The next morning he didn’t wanna leave! But I got him to O’hare
Months afterwards, myself and a few furries drove into Canada and we picked him up, his cat, and his Amazon grey parrot. His brother looked at me with tears in his eyes, saying “you’re the best thing that ever happened to him.” And thus we were off for a wild 27 years, through thick and thin, through happiness and anger, and to me spending time on the Internet trying to figure out what ADD was. I got Mark evaluated and I knew he wasn’t the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Tree topper angel, maybe!
We had hopes of making him an American citizen. That did not happen.
I did all his management of his art, because he didn’t wanna deal with that he just wanted to draw and color. That was fine with me. Except when I looked back, I should’ve spent much more time watching him draw and making him happy that way. I might have learned his techniques so I could take over, but he didn’t want that. He just wanted me.
If Mark was a great Dane, he would be sitting all over me, looking at me with baleful eyes, wagging his tail, his head on my lap, and just making me understand that I was his. That’s how he was. He was my Great Love!
Everything wasn’t wonderful and we had some doozy of a fight, and at one point exasperated! I told him I wanted a divorce, because it was hard living with him. He sat down on the bed and started crying. “If you leave me, I don’t know where to go! This is my home. You are my everything! I don’t want anything but you! That was the last time I ever fought with him like that again (you don’t know how hard it was for me to just type this, especially since I cry easily).
It was a struggle going into hospice almost every day, and spending time with him, whether he was up or whether he was sleeping. I knew what songs he loved, so I put that on my iPhone. At one point he started crying, and he said “Honey, am I going to die?“ I didn’t answer him. Because I couldn’t face the finality of it all.
After he passed away, I wanted very hard to get him cremated because that’s what he desired. We did it, and when I went to pick up the box, it was a gloomy, very cloudy rainy day, and I was sobbing. I said to myself, “my husband doesn’t to serve to be in a box.“ So I bought him a beautiful urn, and I put his ashes in there.
Happy heavenly birthday, honey. You are missed by me, a lot of graymuzzles, and a big part of the furry fandom! You are my “Father of Furry Muscle,” a true title that you earned by starting muscular furries art in the middle of the 1970s!

Update from Dineegla
Posted 3 years agoHi, I just wanted you to know that Muscle Wolf is not doing well. I was at the hospital today for five hours and he’s on a feeding tube and oxygen. I really don’t think he’s going to get any better, but I am praying and hoping for a miracle
He’s doing much better!!
Posted 3 years agoDineegla leaving a note from MuscleWolf
Posted 3 years agoFor those of you who know me and my husband, Mark (MuscleWolf), I just wanted to leave a message here that he is doing poorly in the hospital, and they may have to put in a feeding tube into him, and send him home for palliative care.
I am devastated. Mark has been the love of my life for 11 years. And I am going to miss him so much!

Depression is a bitch served cold!
Posted 5 years agoIt’s been awhile. Sorry about that. Depression is a bitch, and it’s been with me a long time. I want to thank my moose for helping me along.
But now I think it’s time to open my commissions again, but slowly. I will be offering inkings At $35 each. And a special: if you have commissioned me before, I will throw in an extra character for free.

Important announcement! Updated Wednesday 3.20.2019
Posted 6 years agoJust before the last weekend my husband, DIneegla, started out complaining about his stomach, both of us thinking There was something that he ate. Then we assumed that line of been food poisoning.
He went to the bathroom and It developed to the point where he went into a state almost like a coma. I could not wake him so I called 911 and an ambulance came to get him. At first they thought it was severe dehydration. Turns out, he had a massive ulcuric hole in his lower intestine. They couldn’t wait so the doctors operated on him Immediately. They sewed up the hole, cleaned him out ( it was the lower intestine) and covered it over with a patch of his own skin over it all. And he is currently in intensive care, so now it’s a waiting game. The doctor said he was a mess when he came in, and they did the best possible, and they are confident thAt they sealed the hole.
I am at home, holding the fort. I’m scared.
If you could, I need your well wishes and prayers for his recovery.
Thanks in advance.
MW
Update: he is out of the INTENSIV CARE UNIT and is in the IMMEDIATE CARE UNIT. He should be able to go home by Monday or Tuesday. The incision is huge, VERTICALLY

65 And Still Going
Posted 7 years ago Yep, the moose and I both became officially senior citizen greyfurs this month and I want to thank everybody for the well wishes. I also have to thank Dineegla for literally saving me from oblivion and continues to do so despite all the lunacy in our lives.I love him dearly even when we drive each other nucking futs.
Despite all the nuttiness going on, we hope to continue doing art, catching up on projects and commissions and generally keeping our paws in.
Stay tuned. The Best is yet to come.

**Just a Note from Dineegla** #3 Finishing Commissions
Posted 7 years ago

I hijacked Wuffy's journal again to bring you an update.
I want to complete the WIPS I have posted online on MW's page. If I posted your picture and you have found them to be COMPLETE, please PM me at my page. Then I can quickly sign off on it. I need to know so I can finish it and move onto other Commissioners who have been waiting a LONG LONG time. And I mean a LOOONG time!
If you are one of THOSE very special and very patient furs, please let me know! I know Steve Du, Karmakat, and LeoLion13 are way overdue. Anyone else? I'm positive there's more.
I promised I would make good on our backlogs, and now I can.
ONE LAST THING!!!!: I KNOW many of you have indicated you LOVE our "Art Imitates Life" series. Feel free to suggest a scenario for our book. If your idea gets used and if we go to print, you get credit for the idea and a FREE COPY!!
*******************
MuscleWolf is taking new Commissions: He is taking INKED commissions only: $35 & PayPal. Those we can get out right away. We have lots of bills towards the end of the month and can use some help. No festishes but can be nudes.

Posted 7 years agoHi (waves weakly)
It's me, Moosie.
I am still getting over the food poisoning, so my drawing queue is going slow. I am going to post the WIPs that are almost finished. This will give the Commissioners a chance to fix anything and let me know if it needs anything else. If you are a commissioner, PM me at my site.
If your art has not been posted, don't PM me. He's working on it.

Jobs And Commissions Open
Posted 7 years agoIf you read Dineegla’s journal, you’ll know that after 10.5 years and countless hours put in FOR FREE, he was unjustly (in my and everybody we’ve spoken to’s opinion) fired. The guy practically ran the place single-handed. They ended up screwing him over and let him go without so much as a Thank you let alone any kind of severance pay. Nothing. He views it as an opportunity to move on and find more satisfactory work, to do his passion.
While that is true, it does leave a gaping hole in our finances. SO, to make ends meet, I am opening the door to new $35 b/w inked commissions as well as catching up on past jobs and post new work as well. We realize we have been in the shadows for sometime but we hope this will get us back in the swing of things.
He loved that job, but it became a political hotspot and a clash of historical vs. "gift shop" and "how can we milk this so we can make it viable?" It is, just not the way they want it.
P.S. Please address all comments to me, not him. And overdue work.
