I've resisted the idea of uploading art other people created me for a long time. It didin't feel right to put art I didn't create on my profile. However, some friends recently convinced me that it would be good to have all the Myr art in one, concentrated place here. I suppose I didn't realize how much some people enjoyed my dragon.

I'm going to try something new and run a public auction for a custom VRChat avatar in about a week from now. There will be an image upload to call attention to it when the time comes. I usually don't open for public avatar commissions, but I'm confident in my skills enough now that I think I can do it well. Keep in mind that I prefer to work with characters that are fat, muscular, or musclegut.

I need to finish work on Arthro V2 and Myr V3 before I post the auction. You'll see images for them soon. It's amazing how much improvement I've had since getting into avatar making 4 years ago!

I hope  dragoneer has made it to his digi/furry heaven. May his afterlife be filled with all the round beasts, friends, familiar presences, comfort, pleasure, and other wonderful things. I will miss him. Dragoneer made an impact on my life in multiple ways and helped keep FurAffinity running as a solid foundation to meeting so many friends, improving skills, growing as a person, and more. RIP, friend.

I'm not that far behind Dragoneer in terms of age. Let me share a little history real quick. My original account was  dragonmyr . I joined, became friends with  jheryn now known as  alkora . I influenced/instigated the creation of the Commissions Tab and the use of 3-character usernames (previous minimum was 4-characters). I was an FA administrator between 2006 and 2007 after Dragoneer had assumed ownership of the site. I used to help fix all the random thumbnail issues on newly submitted images, and I also came down hard by banning people causing drama on the site because I saw them as a threat to the growth of the art community here. I stopped being an admin after cub porn was first addressed and allowed by the TOS back in 2007.

In 2013, I teamed up with  benanderson to begin an unofficial, unsanctioned, free recode of FA in JSP. I thought JSP was the right choice because of how versatile I found it to be at work. Dragoneer decided to put  zaush in charge of the project and I quietly dipped out due to not knowing or wanting to learn Node.JS.

I met Dragoneer in person at FurAffinity United in 2018 and 2019. I thought we would still have some lingering disagreements and tried to keep my space. To my surprise, Dragoneer was incredibly friendly and eager to let the past be in the past. He was one awesome guy to meet and had great perspective about life, people, and things in general. He did an amazing job of being personable to so many people and creating a stable online foundation for the furry world. FA has let me experiment, expand, and indulge in ways that no other online resource has allowed. It's also brought me so many new friendships and relationships. While other sites were rising and falling, this place has somehow remained constant.

I did consider Dragoneer a friend. Our interests crossed paths so many times. We would commission the same artists and subjects, favorite the same things, and enjoy the same kind of games and media. We didn't always see eye-to-eye, but appreciated his perspective on things. The man is a legend in this community for keeping this hub of furry activity going for so long. RIP Murasadramon. You are missed.

I will be at Anthrocon 2024 this weekend! I'll be in fursuit too. Look for a big round dragon fursuit! I'll also have my art supplies with me.

Just letting people know I will be at MFF this year! I managed to get space that someone else had to cancel. Expect to see me wandering around the convention center in fursuit! Might be a bit difficult for me to make it to the Hyatt due to the length of those skybridges, but we'll see!

I set up a Mastodon account on dragonchat.org. I originally had one on meow.social, but I have trouble accessing it during the day. No cellular network signal at work means relying on their network, which has a very aggressive, public library-like web filter on it. Anything remotely furry is blocked. Fortunately, dragonchat is not furry enough to warrant an automatic block.

I aim to start checking this daily in addition to Twitter and FA. I'm not convinced people are actually leaving Twitter yet. I think everyone is going to jump over to other platforms and then come back in a few days/weeks. Same thing happened with FA multiple times as competitors appeared. It's hard to leave behind a big following. Also seems smart to set up an alternate social presence not controlled by some rich tech bro just in case.

I don't like the invite system of Bluesky and it's blocked at work. Threads is a nonstarter because of Zuck. Hive is...lol, that crapped out fast. Itaku is blocked probably for the same reason meow is. So Mastodon it is! FA will continue to be the gallery where I post finished arts. Twitter and Mastodon may get the sketchy, WIP stuff and random ramblings.

I plan to be at the following 3 conventions this year:

Furry Weekend Atlanta (FWA) in Atlanta, GA this May
Anthrocon (AC) in Pittsburgh, PA this June/July
Megaplex (MP) in Orlando, FL this September

I plan to arrive early to MP to spend time at the regional theme parks and maybe NASA. Might also do a visit to Kennywood on Wednesday or Thursday at AC (yes, for real this year!). I also plan to be suiting as Mach for all 3 conventions. There is a small chance I will go to Midwest FurFest (MFF) in Chicago, IL this December. MFF is very hard to get a room at now, although flights have gotten cheaper and more frequent.

Anyone organizing a Secret Santa art exchange featuring dragons, fat furs, or muscle furs?

I'm interested in jumping into one of these subjects...not all three. Make this dragon draw (more like finish, lol) some 2D art again!

I plan to be at FWA (Furry Weekend Atlanta), AC (Anthrocon), and MPC (Megaplex Con) in 2023.

I'm not doing MFF (Midwest FurFest) in 2022. I have been going there for a decade, but I was unable to secure a hotel room this year. Honestly, I'm rather glad because that convention is a logistics pain. I will miss meeting up with Chicagoland friends and smooshing people with my fursuit. Won't miss the lines, long walks, and weird layout.

Anyone following me go to NYFB (New Years Furry Ball)? I'm thinking of going there, but I haven't committed yet.

I'm going to take a limited selection of custom VRC avatar commissions. Likely 2-4 commissions this time around. Once I get more settled at home, I may take on more later this year.

Note that pricing is variable and expected between $300 and $600 USD depending on the character and features. I expect to start work on these in 2-3 weeks, and complete 2 by the end of September and the other 2 by the end of October.

I expect to get more responses to the form than I can possibly handle. I'll select my favorites, send them quotes, and get more details. My goal will be to lock in 2-4 commission projects to work on. Characters that are chonky, muscular, round, big, etc. are very appealing!

My last journal was from June 2020. It's now February 2021. Way past time for an update!

I'm moving! After over a decade of time in the townhouse, I decided to move somewhere hopefully quieter and definitely closer to work. While I wait for the new house to be built, I had to move out of the townhouse and into an apartment. Can't wait for the house to be ready early in the spring of 2020! I was going to move southward, but COVID-19 changed everything.

I've also been applying my Blender 3D skills to making VRChat avatars. I'm happy to have an output for those 3D skills again. I haven't been eager to apply them since the days of UT2004! That was a long time ago! Building a 3D game did not motivate me the way creating a bunch of large characters and seeing them in use has.

For 2021, I plan to go to Anthrocon and Furrydelphia. I'd also like to do Midwest FurFest too, but it depends on who is going.

I commissioned a central bearded dragon fursuit about 2 years ago. It's getting worked on now! The idea was to get a character that is not me/Myr. Also gives a good excuse to have a larger belly without it automatically being in the fetish category! Currently debating between the character names Roast, Mach (short for macchiato), and Venti.

Still single and randomly dating local women. No keepers though. Too many politics-obsessed, polyamorous (I'm just not into the idea), normies in the Baltimore Washington area.

I've been in this strange mood where all I want to see are hyper fats. I'm talking almost immobile or definitely immobile. None of the smaller stuff I normally am into. Not sure why I'm in this mood. Unfortunately, I've realized I suck at drawing past a certain size now. Hmm. Need to do some studies and more practice...well, when I'm not doing 3d art that is!

Who is good at hyper fats that would draw this dragon as a commission?

I seem to have a ton of trouble locking down commissions. There are a few artists I know who do huge bodies really well. I'm talking rolls, flabs, and hyper fat that is still recognizable.

Not sure if I should send these artists unsolicited requests for a commission, or just wait and see if I happen to be looking when they open for slots. I've honestly been avoiding a lot of social spaces lately due to some anxiety, so landing commission spots from proven people is hard.

I will be fursuiting, and I should have a full body suit this time. Not sure about wings. I'm hoping to have them working in time, but they've been a lower priority than the body suit. I will be a golden scaly dragon, so I should be relatively easy to spot.

I'm building Furry Smash Bros. After years of thinking I need help, can't make it work, and someone else will do it better, I've decided to seriously work on this. Currently using Blender, Unreal Engine, and CSP to build this. 2 characters are coming together while 2 more are in the early planning stage.

Convention News
I am registered to attend both FA United (August 25-27) near Dulles Airport, and also Furrydelphia (August 18-20) near King of Prussia Mall. My usual crew of friends are not planning to go to these so if you're going let me know! Or say Hi if you spot me during the cons. =)

I'm planning to run a panel for both cons called "Biceps and Bellies: Drawing Big." I have never run a panel before, but I've been to enough of them that I think I know what to do. I'm treating it like a work presentation too so hopefully it'll be helpful. Half brain dump, half live-action drawing on my tablet PC hooked up to a projector.

Expect to see me in fursuit at both conventions too. The plan is for me to have my new 3D printer up and running this weekend and to begin experimenting with printing scales. I want to continue the scalie look of my partial by creating a suit made of different sized and shaped scales. Probably going to attach them to some athletic mesh and layer the scales. Should look very draconic while allowing me to stay cool. I can see the idea in my head. Hopefully I can execute it!

Commissions
Would anyone be interested in character badge commissions? These would be digital, printed on 5x7 paper, and then laminated. I can give them in person at FAU or FD, or I can mail them out to you. Not sure of an exact cost at this time. Probably $40 waist-up or $60 full body. I'm nearly impossible to commission, so if you are interested you should give me a poke! I'm an artist for fun so when I say I'm taking on commissions it's probably because I want extra fun money that'll go right back into artwork or prints...like all the prints I bought from AC and the art I'll probably acquire from FAU and FD. Dragon needs to replenish his hoard!

Side Note
I have completely purged block lists on multiple sites. Looks like I cleared this one quite some time ago. I've been irritated at people or have wanted to avoid some people for a long time. I've done stupid stuff, sometimes they've done stupid stuff, and it's just kind of festered. I've decided to get over it, move on, forgive, and possibly even try to re-establish some old connections as opportunities present themselves. I had a medical event on my most recent birthday that kind of snapped me out of being cynical or overly judgmental. I don't want to spend time being upset with people -- that's not productive and it's not helping me reach my goals.

Does anyone know of someone who would be willing to do oil or acrylic paint on canvas? I'm looking for a traditional painting in the size range of 20 x 24 to 11 x 14. Larger sizes preferred.

I recognize it's expensive to get a traditional painting. What I'm looking for is someone willing to do it on commission who can be trusted to perform in a timely manner (less than 6 months ideal, but absolutely not longer than 1 year wait). I'm looking for a showcase piece of my dragon (serious western dragon realistic image -- no fetishes, kinks -- clean and regal) that I can hang up on my wall at home. Something updated from the painting I got from SilverMoon (love that one, but it's outdated -- see http://www.furaffinity.net/view/329475/ ).

Any ideas who is 1) capable of this, AND 2) would be willing to do it as a commission?

First, I'm posting artwork to FA again and going to be a lot more active on this site. I have decided to stop being mad at Dragoneer and the rest of the FA staff. What happened in the past is in the past. I've moved on. I've tried the other furry websites, but the only one that came close to FA was Weasyl, and it's hard to start over like that. I've tried to get into Furry Network, but the user interface just drives me crazy. Same with some of the other options out there. So, yes, more FA activity! Twitter is currently my main though. Myriaderoc and MyriaderocAD are my two accounts.

Second, I've been doing Sketch Trades! If you're interested in doing one with me send me a DM on Twitter. You can use FA notes, but I'm very slow to respond to them. You can also comment here. Twitter is with me all the time. I may or may not agree to trade with you. It all depends on my workload, mood, and level of interest. It's not personal if I turn you down! Right now I've got 3 more on the way.

Finally, I'm going to take some Sketch Commissions. I'm not advertising it heavily yet since I want to clear those trades first. Probably will take another week to finish them off. I'm figuring variable $20 to $60 each based on complexity. We'll need to talk about it. The rules would be:

- 1 to 6 characters
- must involve fat and/or muscle (no size restrictions)
- hyper, vore, macro, buff, extra beefy, chubby, extra padded, immobility, yiff, giant boobs, inflation, weight gain, hypnosis are interesting but not required
- single or multi-page comic or sequence is ok (increases complexity)
- drawn on 18x12 sketch paper using pencils
- preview, rough blue lines sketch to make changes or pay to get the final sketch
- minimal background if any at all -- I hate doing backgrounds
- minimal shading if any at all -- negotiable
- no restrictions on characters, although more complex characters up the fee and expect me to disown art involving characters I avoid (ponies) -- I like money more than I dislike drawing certain characters so I didn't say I won't draw it
- anthro characters are preferred but not required
