To do list!
Posted 13 years agoWell, I've been a slug stuck in things that are slow and unmoving in terms of activity here, so I figured I need a nice to do list for when I'm feeling like I need to get something done, but can't remember what. Organization!
So, for Uploads!
-Upload my collab with Sharei -done!
-Upload all those pinups I've had comissioned but have been just sitting on my hard drive.
-Upload the commission work from Anthrocon last year that I got scans of.
-Put together a collage pic of all the adoptables I've picked up recently. -done!
Arts!
-Finish colouring the linework given to me by Phantom-Inker.
-Colour the lineart of Piper received from Taasla.
-Do another drawing of Rowan and another of Talyn.
-Finish the Drow priestess picture.
-Do sketches of the adoptables I've acquired.
-My little driders in dresses pic.
Commissions!
-Buy a Chase in Lingerie pinup.
-Buy a pic of rowan with her wife. Possibly smutty. *U.U*
I'll add to and/or edit this list as things get accomplished!

Bix707 free art raffle to support Festival Anonymous
Posted 13 years ago
Bix707 is running a free art raffle to generate interest in an indiegogo campaign to help fund an arts and music festival. Urban is not usually my scene but the art is pretty cool, and those artists attending are seriously talented.
Go check out her journal to see how to get a free commission and also check out the indiegogo page for the festival anonymous to drop a donation for the festival if you're able. They're a long ways from their goal and there's only a couple days left, but who know, maybe if we pull together they can get a hail mary in the 9th hour. :3

There's a free custom Character Raffle running.

Get some art While Helping someone out!
Posted 13 years agoA proper convention report will be coming along soon, but there's something of more importance that caught my attention today.
It seems that
DinosaurDammit Has had a couple of tragedies hit her recently and she needs help in getting her and her family home. To that end
Mechanizor is offering donation sketches to help out.
Mechanizor is offering some really really nice art and really isn't asking for much money at all.

Anthrocon Meme thingy 2012
Posted 13 years agoI'm hopping on this here bandwagon.
Conventions Name:
Anthrocon 2012!
Transportation type:
Car. Beep beep! Not my Car. A friend was kind enough to offer me a ride.
Dates:
Wendesday to Monday assuming eveything goes well. I'm in the Artists alley on Friday and Sunday.
Rooming with:
kv1nn4
kelmar
sererena
missmab and her husband.
How do you want to be addressed?
Call me Fable. Or you can call me by my name Em. A couple of my friends here have been calling me Fae as a short form for Fable and I kinda think that's a cute nickname. It's growing on me. :3
Gender:
I am teh womens. I have teh borbs. It's honestly a bit of an awkward question for me since as noted on my profile I'm transgendered, so answering questions like this is a bit more difficult then the default A or B answers. I preffer to be treated as a women, but as long as you treat me as a human being I'll be alright.
Age?
26? 27? Something like that. I keep loosing track.
Description:
I have long curly bown hair. I wear blue glasses. I'm caucasian. Oh, and I'm also usually covered head to toe in Spiders. :3
Honestly I look like my little icon that I have up right now. but yeah if you need a key identifier, then that would probably be the bountifull supply of spider plushies that I walk around with.
Relationship Status:
I'm single, why do you ask?
Where/how can I find you?
I'm in the Artist Alley on Friday and Sunday, so come by my table! On Sat, I'll be wandering around, so either look for the Spider plushies, or ask any of my roomates. They'll either know where I am or how to get in touch with me.
Main purpose for attending:
The number one reason? To see my Friends. Friends like
kv1nn4
kelmar
sofox and
tapewolf and whole bunch of others that are way too many to note here. Friends that I made at the last anthrocon that I've missed terribly over the year and can't wait to see again. Sappy, I know, but true. I have so many hugs saved up for them!
The other reason is that it's time for me to start taking my art seriously, and I'd like to really dive into illustrating professionally, so please do come by my table for a commission! Not just because I'd love to draw your characters, which I do, but also because I like.. you know.. being paid. :P
Do you do requests?
No, probably not. I'm happy to take comissions, but I probably won't be doing any free art.
Do you do trades?
Probably! Maybe? Hmmm... depends. I do art trades with friends mostly, but an art trade is also a great way to make new friends and connect with other artists. Feel free to ask! Expect I might say no though since the primary focus has to be on my comissions, so I won't be able to accept any trades unless I'm on the ball with those. Take homes are welcome though.
Do you do commissions?
Why yes I do! I would like to do Many Many comissions. Come get a Commish from me!
Will you have prints, CDs, or merchandise?
Not this year. I'm just feeling things out for my first time in the Alley. I'll have merch
next year once I have an idea of what the alley is like.
Will you have Art in the Art Show?
Nope.
Can I talk to you?
Sure! By all means! Come! Visit! Converse!
Can I take pictures with you?
Sure! I guess? I like pictures.
Can I touch/hug/cuddle you?
Sure! Uhh? Maybe? ...Better ask first.
Can I hang out with you?
Sure! In the evenings or on Saturday. Otherwise I'll be at my table in the Alley working.
Do you go to parties?
Sure! Maybe? If I hear about one and I'm not super busy, I love attending room parties.
What is the best way to reach you?
Email is a great way to reach me, or send me a private message here on FA. My contact details are listed on my profile. Otherwise you can probably pass a message to me through my roomates.
Daily activities:
ART ART ART ART ART (hopefuly)
Nightly Activities:
ART ART ART ART ART (deffinently)
What time I usually go to bed and get up:
Whenever the rest of my roomates stop working and sleep. (NEVER)
I get up at the crack of dawn to be in the Artist Alley.
Can I dance with you:
Only if you sing the Power Rangers Theme song for me.
How far is too far:
If it's something you'd be too embarassed to do in public, or something that's illegal in public, then that's probably too far. Actually anything illegal in general is going too far.
Can I buy you things:
I guess? Gifts from friends is nice. I could probably use the occassional sandwich at my table.
Anything else?
I WILL DRAW THINGS FOR YOU.

I need Womens and I need Lingerie!!!
Posted 13 years agoI need Pictures!
Pictures of Spiderman!
As a woman ...In Lingerie.
But no, seriously. I have a super secret project in the works, and I need everyone's help. I need you to send me pictures of women in lovely/sexy/beautiful poses, and images of sets of lingerie that you think are particularly nice.
It need not be pictures of a sexy pose in lingerie, they can be separate. If you only have pictures of poses you like, or only pictures of some lingerie that you think is nice looking... that's fine. Send them! I can always put two and two together and reassemble them myself.
The goal here is build myself up a library of artsy, nice looking women's poses, and lingerie, that I can use as reference for this project that I hope I can have ready for Anthrocon. Time is of the essence as AC rappidly approaches so I need a large number of these pictures fast.
Obviously nudity is perfectly fine. But I'm looking for artsy poses, so no actual sex please, unless you're just sending the pic for the lingerie the model is wearing.
So go forth my minions and find me pretties! All the pretties! So that I can take those pretties and make more pretties! You can send me links in note form, or send the pictures themselves to my email at mythicfables[at]hotmail.com
Thanks so much everyone! Kiss Kiss, love love. <3 <3 <3

Furaffinity Etiquette?
Posted 13 years agoHurray for getting over my con crud finally! Everybody party! *dance dance dance*
Now to finish my term paper! ...wooooooo... *sarcasm* *spins party rattle with serious face*

So, I'm looking for input from people on this.
I haven't moved any of the commission pictures I had done for me on my old account to this one, or uploaded any of the new ones I've had done yet. On my old account I just uploaded them into my gallery, but I found that the gallery filled up really fast, and when I'm trying to establish myself as an artist I'm not sure I should be filling the gallery with art that isn't done by me. Like I should be keeping the emphasis on my art so that people can see what I can do rather then that I commission lots of people? So I considered uploading all my own commission work into the scraps folder on this account, because I still want to share the awesome work I've had done for me, and my scraps folder is hardly used otherwise. I'm not sure if the artists that did the commissions might take offense to that though? It wouldn't be a problem if I was just putting my own work out faster, because then I could just tag it as a commission in the title and then the gallery would still have a majority of my own work. But then what about when I start doing commission work myself? Wouldn't it be confusing to have my commissions and others commissions all in the same folder?
Maybe I could just upload the art I have from other people slowly, and after it's been in the gallery for a while, then move it to scraps and upload the next one? Hrmmm... I'm really not sure how this sort of thing is done on here.
Also, I'd like to know what people have to say about thanking other people for their watches and Favorites. Is that something I should be doing, or do people find it annoying to have their page cluttered with thank yous? Maybe just favorites? Maybe just watches? I don't mind doing it if people actually like it, but I've heard from other people they can't stand it, so I'm not sure where I should stand on it.
Stay smiling everyone. Love and hugs and good health to all! ^_^

Furnal Equinox 2012
Posted 13 years agoUrghh... back from the con a couple of days ago. Pardon my lateness with this report but I have finally been struck down by the dreaded CON CRUD. After years and years and a long career of attending conventions, never to catch the crud at any of them, it finally caught me. I bet
missmab is cackling maddly for all the times I told her to suck it up and walk it off. Now I'm the one that's sick and all I want is cuddles. ...and soup. SOUP CUDDLES.
As to the con, This was the third FE and the second I've attended. The first one I attended was the first FE back in 2010. It was interesting to see how the con has grown and changed over the years.
Firstly it has grown, there was easily 3 times the number of people there as I saw at the first con, so good on them. In terms of con space, eh, it has grown and moved to a bigger part of the hotel, but it's still basically just the one hallway of rooms, so not that big. Big enough though. I never once felt that the con needed to be bigger. The programming this year was pretty sparse. I kinda felt that there wasn't very much going on during the con. Most of the fun seemed to be in socializing or heading off to the various room parties. There were many room parties.. it was St. Patties day weekend. I felt the con itself was kinda slow and a bit dull, simply because of the lack of interesting panels or other things going on. Don't get me wrong, there were panels and other things happening, just not that many. I can't really fault the con on that point, since it could have easily just been that there weren't any panels to my taste and so I just didn't take notice of them, but I looked through the booklet and only like.. 3 panels caught my eye over the whole weekend. So hopefully next year there will be more programming.
Where the con hit its stride of course was the socializing. It's a very social con. At all times there are people to talk with, new friends to make, old friends to track down, and people you never expected to see. The zoo is always filled with people as well, and I really liked the open air concept of it this con. Instead of a separate room for the zoo, they moved tables into the foyer area. You could see everyone in there, and there were always artists working on drawings, and active card and board games you could join in on.
ShujinTribble was doing his radio program through the whole thing and playing by request music that gave the zoo a nice relaxed atmosphere. And there was that guy that had the remote controlled flying shark that was always about, attacking people. Seriously. The Zoo was where it was at this con.
Next to the Zoo was the artist alley, which was very excellent this year. Easy to get too, lots of space, and lots of artists at all times. The artists I saw in there were:
They were amazing to see and get art from. I think I spent nearly all of sunday hanging out with them and drawing. It was allot of fun. Big win on the artist alley this year.
The dealers room was great for the most part. Can't complain. It was well stocked with an interesting variety of shops, some old, some new. Was good fun, and I bought probably more swag there then I should have. When I found the lady that had custom spider jewelry, I had a happy explosion.
Now onto the bad stuff. The con was not organized very well at all. In addition to there not being much programming, the fursuit parade was a disaster. They made the fursuiters stand in the sun for 45 minutes while they individually tagged everyone for the group picture. When the suiters started complaining about the heat, they marched them inside... through the convention to one of the halls, where they could finish the counting. 'Cept they marched them THROUGH half the con to get there so most people thought that WAS the parade. But no, after another length of time they began the actual parade through the con proper and we got to see all the same suits... again. They finished this run by going outside, but when we tried to put the tables back so we could get on with the con.. nope.. not done yet! They marched them back through the con for a third time! Not only was this ridiculous and left the suiters tired and half dead, it basically closed the con down for nearly 2 hours, effectively shutting down the zoo, artist alley, and dealers room. Which pretty much WERE the con anyway... so yeah, the parade killed the con. Bad parade. Also for some reason without any notice or prior indication they were going to do this, they put someone at the doors of the dealers room on sunday about 40 minutes before the place was going to close and wouldn't let anyone in. This meant I couldn't get in the room to get the last of my shopping done or say goodbye to any of the friends I'd made in there. I'm just glad I had already gotten my sketchbooks back, because retrieving them at that point would have been a nightmare. After that point because nobody new was coming in and they weren't selling anything, the dealers ended up packing up and leaving the dealers room 15 minutes later anyway. All in all, i think it was a poor decision. Not letting anybody in so the dealers could wrap up their business and get packed up to leave seems fine, but anything over 15 minutes towards the end of the dealers rooms is overkill. Besides, the dealers should not be required to pack up and leave right as the dealers room closes. They're supposed to be able to sell right until closing, and THEN pack up their shop and leave. Not BEFORE the place closes.
So anyway, in short, it was an alright con that was mired by a lack of programming and some poor decisions. I still had a great time. In particular it was great to see and catch up with some of my old friends like:
netrogo
Furball and
Basilisk2150
and make new friends like:
darkduck64
sharei and
Asphyxia_Lemieux.
I'm hoping to see most of theses peeps again come anthrocon and condition blue, and can't wait for next years FE to roll around to do it again. Next time I should toss myself into the artists alley with the big fishes and see if I can swim. ^_^
Take care, and much love and kisses and hugs to everyone I met and spent time with at FE this year. You're too many to mention, but you made the con a blast for me. Luvs! <3

In particular it was great to see and catch up with some of my old friends like:
netrogo
Furball and
Basilisk2150and make new friends like:
darkduck64
sharei and
Asphyxia_Lemieux.I'm hoping to see most of theses peeps again come anthrocon and condition blue, and can't wait for next years FE to roll around to do it again. Next time I should toss myself into the artists alley with the big fishes and see if I can swim. ^_^
Take care, and much love and kisses and hugs to everyone I met and spent time with at FE this year. You're too many to mention, but you made the con a blast for me. Luvs! <3
