Something that needs to be said.
Posted 5 years agoI’m having to say this as there are some people who think that they can add random peoples characters to their own fan fiction universe without permission.
I’d like to state this once and for all.
My characters are NOT to be used in any sort of third party fan universe if I personally have not approved of it. Simply stating that my characters are part of your universe/project/wiki/story/game/etc does NOT give you any rights to my characters and any usage of my characters in unapproved manners will result in legal action.

The end of the funday pawpet show
Posted 8 years agoOK. Given that I can't say enough in 140 characters on twitter. I have decided to post this here. (and get that old AC post off my main page)
About 10 years ago, I was just a fledgeling in the fandom. On the fringes, not really a member yet. I knew some stuff but not enough. Enter the website AlbinoBlacksheep.com An amazing site for what was at the time, the high tech medium Flash animation. From there I found the magic that is the original videos for Fredryck Fox (fuck Eric Bauman BTW). Him playing with a Folkmanis Fox puppet and doing voices with it made me look for more and somehow or another I ran across a clip of FPS.
From there. it became a somewhat ritual to watch or download episodes and watch them. From these episodes I learned so much. As they say, if you want to learn something, make it entertaining. It sticks better in the mind. So for 4 hours every sunday night, I watched and I learned. I found out how things worked in the fandom, how to act, how to perform, little tips and tricks, hearing about conventions galore, Who's who of names in the fandom (Kage, Yappy, JR, KP, etc, etc, etc, etc).
So when I finally took the plunge in 2009 to go to anthrocon... I was prepared by the best teachers one could ever hope for the unmitigated madness of the furry fandom.
I'm sad to see the show go. I know it was a monster for Yappy (I will cry if he posts a picture of the dining room without the stage and puppets).
But if someone from the cast is ever able to see this. I would like to make a request is possible of Yappy and the crew.
I'd want to see a final episode....
...But no puppets.
I'd like to see them pull back the curtain and just talk about favorite memories and moments, no clips or anything, no editing. Hell no opening song (ok... just play Soul Bossa Nova one more time). Just shoot the shit basically, to be themselves and reflect back on 18 years of programming. The high's, the lows, the times when it was amazing, and the times when it was horrible. And to say a final, real goodbye.
I know it's probably not gonna happen. but one can dream can't they?
Thank you so much to anyone who helped make that program what it was and what it meant to me in the long run, both mentally and emotionally.

Anthrocon 2016
Posted 9 years agoAlright. It's been w week or so since the con so I might as well post about what went down and such.
1. I wasn't able to secure a hotel room. This wasn't for lack of trying. I was explicitly prohibited from getting a room by my parents. Why? Well when I came home from Midwest, my parents think something caught a lift with me in my luggage and was discovered in my bed. Never mind the fact that we had contractors in the house when I came home, never mind the fact we found the same kind of Hitchhikers at our new office at work. It was my fault and my fault alone. So rather than spend the hundreds of dollars on a single hotel room with no roommates or visitors (seriously was prohibited from visitors) I decided to drive up and back every single day of the con. It put more miles on my car than I wanted, wasted more gas than I needed, and cost more money that was necessary but God damnit I was at the con and I enjoyed myself.
2.Seeing my friends. It was awesome seeing
omegafolf and
crashmccloud again. You guys have no clue how much you mean to me and how much better seeing you helped me.
3. Hot wings are hot. On Saturday night we decided to go out for wings at Quaker Steak and Lube in Robinson and brought along Crash, Omega, and Crash's GF Mina. We did try the triple atomic challenge as well...and dear god that was a mistake. Unfortunately Crash was the only one at the table who refused to partake in the challenge while myself, and Mina had half of a wing and promptly nearly died while Omega had a whole one and was lucky he could breathe.
4. Lack of Art. Yeah this has to be the least amount of art I've ever gotten at a con. Only 2 pieces that I might be posting up later. I just didn't have the time to get anything. Too busy.
5. The Dragget show. Once again I went ahead and recorded the Dragget Show Live for everyone to enjoy. It should be up on YouTube if you search for it under Dragget Show Live - Anthrocon 2016. I did some editing and such with this one and it really turned out well.
6.A dream fulfilled. So yeah....
I'm a fursuiter now.
At Midwest, I was afforded the opportunity to be one of the Huscoons (major props to Huscoon for letting me do that) for the parade and had a blast. So much so by the end of the month after the con I threw down a downpayment with
bycats4cats and received the finished product the Tuesday before the convention. The suit is amazing. I do know I have to work on some performance aspects and such but it was over all enjoyable. The suit fits amazingly well, I don't have amazing range of movement, but I can do what I need to. The only draw back is the wings which I had to learn how to get in and out of doors and elevators pretty fast. For anyone I might've bumped into, I am SOOO sorry!
I'll hopefully have some pics of the suit posted soon.
Once again I would like to thank everyone who helped make the con so worthwhile for me. It was just amazing. I know there's too many to list but from the bottom of my heart thank you so much.

Spot the Furry!
Posted 9 years agoAlright Ladies and Gentlemen here are the official rules for Spot the Furry. A game I made up and referenced on my Twitter account. I've been playing with these rules for years and I figure it's time to post the rules public. So here we go. These are ment to be played at an airport and can be modified for trains or public transportation if necessary.
1. The game begins when you get off the airplane. And that were on the plane with you that you know to be furries are disqualified from being counted as confirmed.
2. You are not allowed to approach and ask. This is intuition and deduction only. Clothing, body language, speech (if you can hear them without being creepy) are all valid ways to find out.
3. This is not "creeper" territory. Do not go out of your way to find someone or not. This is for people watching from a distance only.
4. Any ones that look like a furry but cannot confirm they are by visual or auditory means are considered "potentials". Potentials are initially worth 0 points.
5. Any that are totally confirmed (I.e. Wearing a con shirt, known face of a member of the fandom, or other identifiable method that they are in town to attend the furry convention) are considered "confirmed". Confirmed are worth 1 point.
6. You stop counting potentials and confirmed when you leave the main airport. Leaving the airport is constituted as being able to see in obstructed sky. If leaving the airport by pubic transport where sky is unseeable (subway) counting stops when you leave airport property.
7. When leaving any marked as "potentials" turn to "confirmed" if you see them at the convention center/hotel and are then considered to be "confirmed" worth 1 point. If any potentials are not attending the convention then they are still worth 0 points.
I hope these rules are easy to understand and foster some people watching.

AIM just killed everything (HELP!)
Posted 10 years agoOK AIM just decided to take every single person I ever had under my "Furry" friend group and delete them. If I had you on AIM and you still wanna talk to me, please readd me.
Current drama
Posted 10 years agoHonestly I'm looking at this whole thing and I'm willing to sit back and wait to see what develops.
However, I do have a Weasyl account incase it all goes south and am gonna be spending the better part of the weekend manually migrating all of my FA submissions over there as a backup.
For those wondering my weasyl account is http://www.weasyl.com/~namrepus221

Life update journal type thingy part 2
Posted 10 years agoOK. It's been about a month or 2 since my last update.
Long story short. I quit my job. Walked in, said fuck it, and walked out.
Had a bit of a mental breakdown as well. Thankfully I'm better now.
Good news is that I have a new job now doing tech support for a company, making a good bit more money with better benefits. That's about it really. Trying to figure out the rest of my life is gonna be interesting.

Life update journal type thingy
Posted 11 years agoOK. Well About time to update this son of a bitch.
Work still sucks. I really hate it. I can't stand it. I wanna quit so badly right now. I'm a year behind where I should be working where I am because of an inept boss who thinks I can't be moved to a position where I can be and promises said position to the new hires who she coddles for the simple fact she doesn't want to be a manager and work fucking midnights. There, i've said my peace.
I really am looking forward to midwest because that's gonna be the next time I see all of my really close friends and the time that I decide to change my life. Why wait till then? Well having an income and benefits mean you can milk them for all their worth and that's exactly what I'm gonna do. I realize this might be hurting me more in the long run because I'll be missing out on some things. But I, simply put, do not want to take what meager savings I have and blow it all on a medical issue and kill all my dreams and such without having them taken care of. If however my job decides to keep fucking me over I'm just gonna go ahead and quit and let the chips fall where they may. I hate to say, please pray my job gets worse.

Changing of the journal
Posted 11 years agoWell. I figured it was as good a time as any to change the journal. Yes. I did somehow manage to get to AC and spend 4 days with a lot of great people. Even without my regular friends it was good. Though I feel like I'm running dry on ideas for my characters. I only got like 2 comissions. Not that I didn't want to get more. I think I should just stop caring about ideas and just say "Draw what ya want" and go with it in terms of art.
As far as everything else. I am getting fed up with work, want to leave home and begin living my life. Just have to get off my ass and do it.
The Podcast is really coming along great and I and my Co-hosts are working on expanding the show a little. Make it a bit more professional sounding in some regards. We know we're not gonna be the next 2 Sense or anything. But we atleast want it to sound good ya know.
Next con is hopefully gonna be Midwest Furfest. I do hope to see a lot of people there and I will really enjoy my time there. After that. Not sure I'll make FWA again due to possibly moving, but I sure as heck will try.

So... No Anthrocon Vacation this year
Posted 11 years agoIn light of events with all my really really close friends. I'm not gonna be attending AC as part of a vacation this year.
I'm probably gonna just request off Friday and Saturday. Drive up both days and enjoy the con as much as I can by myself.

Doing a podcast now!!
Posted 11 years agoSo yeah. 2014 is the year I help start a podcast. Myself and

A week after the switch (Android to iPhone)
Posted 11 years agoAlright. I dont' know how this journal is gonna go over. But since i dont' give a shit about my LiveJournal anymore, I'm posting this here.
Over christmas, my ailing Galaxy Nexus was replaced by an iPhone 5S. "But Tigron, you're a staunch supporter of Android, why'd you switch?" Well a few reasons acctually:
1. There wasn't any good phones with Android on them on my network any more. THe Galaxy Nexus was supposed to be the "best" android phone for Verizon, and in my opinion it was. However, Verizon didn't give a shit about making sure that the phone was treated as a real Nexus device, which ment timely updates to the Android OS. Which never happened. So tl;dr No support by carrier.
2. Build quality issues. The galaxy nexus was the only phone i had ever had to use my phone insurance on. Twice. First time was a burn in on the screen because of the on screen buttons, the second was because over Anthrocon weekend my USB charger port died maknig charging next to impossible, or rendering the phone in a pseudo charging state draining the battery. Also the phone's NFC set up died sometime a few months ago rendering it useless for doing automation (which I really was starting to get into)
3. The urgings of my little brother and
yoshi987 that I move over to the iOS environment that the Apple phone was a better built phone in general and nearly bullet proof in terms of software.
Now. I still have a 2012 Nexus 7 tablet that I still use when I don't want to mess with my computer for before work web browsing and reading and to watch Youtube videos (Anything else like Netflix I can't do because of my craptastic internet speeds. Thank you again Verizon DSL). But my main phone is now my iPhone 5S.
Pros -
1. iOS 7 is one of the smoothest OS's i've ever used. But I will say that I still think that bone stock KitKat is a little better. But not my much. Siri is cool, but google now was great when it worked and could do just about anything Siri did.
2. iTunes. More specifically, iTunes Radio. I love it. I dont' have Pandora or Spotify, and I love the ability to turn on a radio station of music, and enjoy the ever loving hell out of the music without having to have it on the device itself.
3. The device itself. The build quality is phenominal. Though I did throw the phone directly into an Otterbox case before I did anything with it, the phone feels solid, the buttons are snappy and I love the Touch ID sensor for unlocking the phone or making purchases. The Speaker alone is worth it because the Galaxy Nexus speaker was woefully small and I couldn't hear the phone go off in my pocket. This one I can hear loud and clear while it's in my pocket.
4. Call quality. Tremendous. Goes back to the build quality.
5. Battery Life. I've had the phone off charger for 10 hours now. and I'm down only 4% battery. On my Nexus I would be in the mid 80%'s for battery life if left totally idle.
Cons
1. The Lack of Widgets. I miss having A Falcon Pro widget on my phone where I could check my twitter messages at a glance without having to open the app entirely. Lock Screen Widgets too. I mean iOS has them kinda as well, but they are just notifications. Not Full on widgets.
2. The lack of a back button or a dedicated options button. I have more than once found myself clicking the Home button to go back a screen and wind up closing the app out. Which isn't cool. Though I suspect this is just on habit.
3. Screen Size. My Galaxy Nexus had atleast a half inch on all sides on the screen. The screen on the iPhone is much better quailty, but it does feel kinda "small" though.
4. The lack of an open OS. This one I liked from Android because I could download and open files that I wanted to. I can't do that on iOS. I can't move downloaded files to Dropbox like I could on Android. I gotta email them tomyself and then pick them up on my computer or tablet to put them in dropbox.
5. Hot property. I'm gonna have to be extra careful what I do with it cause I know some scumbag is gonna grab it at first notice and pawn the fucker for drug money.
So final grade. I like the phone. I really like it. It's a great piece of equipment. If Verizon ever decides to let Google put out a proper Nexus device I will switch back to Android, but for now. I think I might be a full iOS convert when it comes to a phone.

Posting "Lost" comissions
Posted 11 years agoConsidering there's only a few days left til Xmas I'm gonna start posting up some "lost" comissions that I have neglected to post before whether it's cause I really didnt' want to post them or just plain forgot about them. (or just recieved them in some cases)
Hope ya don't mind the art dump.
BTW. I'm not gonna be prefacing any of them as I normally do with related titles or with a storyline based description. Just not feeling like racking my brain to make them "work" as it were like I normally do.

MFF Journal
Posted 12 years agoAlright. No major issues this year so I figured I will get my self down to doing some recap journal goodness.
Day 1 (Thursday): Woke up at the Ass-crack of dawn to drive to Pittsburgh. Like...4 AM early. So I'm using Waze to do my navigation now and just arround 3 miles from the airport it tells me to take this other route. I see a bunch of PennDOT signs and I figure it's routing me arround construction. So I start taking these roads and I notice I am going deeper and deeper into the boonies finally getting to a large orange sign that says "NO TRESSPASSING. VIOLATORS WILL BE ARRESTED BY ORDER OF THE FAA" So apparently Waze took me to an access road for the airport instead of the terminal. Parked the car, and walked to the terminal in a nice heated walkway. Got to my usual space at the Massage Bar in the terminal. I have found myself kinda requiring one before I leave for MFF to reduce my stress levels of driving there and to get myself into "Con-mode" by forgetting I don't have to worry about work. I'm flying United this time arround and it was pretty painless. Planeside check in like American. Seats were comfy. I liked it. Touched down in O'Hare. Had to walk arround a little to find the place for JetBlue, but I found it and proceeded to wait. Then I pulled out my 3DS and started street passing like a motherfucker. Acctually missed
gabriel-fawks as he got off his plane. He wound up calling me after a few mintues and we met up and headed to baggage claim. Wound up getting on the stuttle to the Hyatt with
reccasenli,
sawblade5 and a bunch of other furs. My god I love whne this happens at this con.
We finally get to the hotel and we see
coyotesnack shooting video as we unload out bags from the bus. We get checked in, and hit the lottery in terms of con room. Literally 1 flight of stairs from the main lobby level. Only a king bed, but we managed. A little less than an hour later
omegafolf and
chu-tora show up after almost getting sideswipped. We settle in. I send a text to
crashmccloud and tell him I got in and he needs a place to well... crash. As he doesn't have his room yet cause his mate hasn't arrived and needs to drop off some stuff for a little while. He stops up and we talk wrestling for a while and order pizza from Giordano's cause it's my birthday. Went through reg after that opened and got my badge like 4 minutes before the pizza guy showed up and we went back and ate some amazing pizza before turning in for the night.
Day 2 (Friday): Woke up at about 8 or so to go to take care of stuff. Got to the dealers room and spent money. Managed to get a piece from
gideon. One more off the bucket list. Also managed to get one from
toonfx and
cylnx as well. Got omega into suit for a little while as well. Fridays are always the worst for me for cons because of everything going on and my head is spinning. So do forgive me that I don't go into much details on Fridays. Went to the Cards Against humanity game later that night and really enjoyed playing. Acctually got a chance to play against a fursuiter who stayed in character the whole time. Kinda had to do double duty as Card Czar because he wouldn't talk to read the card choices and such. Then I headed to out to 2's show cause I missed it at AC.
Day 3(Saturday): Got my books and got a "special" commission for a friend from another artist. Picked up a comission from the company that does Vinyls and I now have a tiger and a pawprint on my 3DS which looks really awesome. Caught up with Crash about something we were gonna do for teh Variety Show. Him and a friend were gonna do a wrestling match, and since i have the equipment for it (namely the shirt and dress pants I dont' give a fuck about) I was gonna act as referee. Unfortunately, due to some logistics changes with how they do it. They werent' accepting "at door" registration for it. So we just kinda stuck in the green room and bitched about stuff and people for a while before I cut out to grab something to eat. Got omega into suit for the parade. Where my camera almost went bust, but thankfully I have a bunch of pics cause I was able to change the batteries fast enough and I got my 3ds working as a 3d camera too. Kinda wishing that I had stayed at the Whose Lion instead of attending the 2-Kage Charity show because atleast Whose Lion was funny. Though I love supporting the charity, and I do respect 2 and Kage for what they do. Whose Lion was much much funnier.
Day 4 (Sunday): Last day. Picked up two comissions I've kinda wanted for a while. One from
shinigamigirl which I got in my book and another from
roxikat which will be a take home. Went to the Dance Comp, which is something I never really ever do. I'm not one for the Dancer culture in the fur fandom (Simply too much Yolo for my tastes), but I do respect anyone who can do what they do at Floor Wars or at the Dance Comp's because of their talent and dedication to their craft. Saw some amazing stuff by some amazing people. FINALLY got a hold of my friend
matrixcodex after attempting to chase him down all con to just catch up for a few minutes. Spoke with him about some plans I had for AC, but I will keep those private for my own sake. Went arround and talked with a few others. Went to the dead dog and just enjoyed listening to the music when it wasnt' making my chest cavity vibrate uncontrolably. Caught up with Crash one more time for a small Photoshoot with Omega which acctualyl illicted a small "FIGHT!" chant from a few other people who were watching it which really was kinda cool IMO.
Day 5 (Monday): OK... This is where thigns went south. GOt to O'Hare after cleaning the room up for the Cleanest room contest. Started walking though the United gate and I got stopped by a woman from United who said I had to check my bag. I told her the bag didnt' need to be checked when I went from Pittsburgh to O'Hare, Why the hell does it need to be checked now? She told me I couldnt' go on with it (even after I told her I was doing plane side check in.) so I lost $25 cause I had to check my bag. On the plane I sat down, of cource there are a half dozen kids including one who wouldn't stop jumping on her seat to look back at me and wonder why I was wearing a hoodie and trying to sleep. Then...well my iPod died. Yep. Sad iPod logo and everything. Tig's Tech Con Crud strikes again. MFF 2 years ago my Droid broke, AC this past year my Galaxy Nexus' usb port died and required replacement, and now my iPod that I've had for nearly 10 years has bitten the dust. Kinda knew it was gonna happen, but this was unexpected. Managed to sleep through the flight back home. Got in my car, got stuck in traffic on 79 and 519 for the better part of a half hour and got home.

We finally get to the hotel and we see

Posted 12 years agoAlright... I now have a 3DS.

Oh.... and I decided to get myself a Twitter.... dear god help me.
Follow me (for whatever reason) at namrepus221. I can't promise I'll be funny or amusing. but I'll try to be (and no I will not have an AD account.)

computer dead (FIXED!)
Posted 12 years agoWell my computer decided to give up the ghost and died. I am trying to recover it now, but with limited time before work I can only do so much.
I might just go ahead and buy my new PC in the meantime and start again assuming the original hard drive is recoverable from a data stand point
UPDATED: OK. The Boot sector got corrupted somehow and I was able to recover it using my XP install disk. Thank god.
But this means my time table for building my new PC has moved up. Gonna see about driving to Microcenter in Columbus one of these weekends with my dad and brother if possible and picking up the parts.

No MFF report this year.
Posted 13 years agoUnfortunately due to a very personal tragedy that occurred to my best non furry friend. I will not be able to write a con report for MFF this year. I am sorry.
I've got my money on my mind and my mind on murder
Posted 13 years agoSeriously... my 401k provider sent my distribution check to the wrong address. Aren't able to stop payment on the check unless my plan administrator sends me a form saying to.... I can no longer contact my plan administrator as their offices are closed and the company no longer exists. The administrator wrote in the wrong street address and had the check sent to my street address in the wrong state.
I'm now out of a little over $5000 I paid into for my retirement. the money is gone!
I've never felt the need to shank someone as I feel right now.
EDIT.
OK Here's some clarification:
They messed up and put MY street address with the WRONG City, State, and Zip on the envelope of the check. I finally managed to get a hold of the administrator from my previous employer (they closed their offices, but are moving into a new smaller one) and she's sending me the forms to get the check cancelled so no one can attempt to cash it, and a new check cut and mailed to me correctly.
The money is "gone" in the sense the check is lost, but it's getting fixed and hopefully all will be well.

Are my characters One Note Wonders? (serious help here)
Posted 13 years agoOK... I've been trying to think of stuff for MFF. And I can't.
I kinda pride myself on being able to some how ADD my way into a great idea for a picture, but for some reason I can't. Not this time.
Looking at my two characters. They are almost completely one note. They have a "gimmick" and that's all they are.
For those that don't know. I have my "main" which is my Tigron character, and then i have a "sub" character that's only been in one image but I've struggled with creating a world for him, Tyler the micro skunk.
Am I losing my "touch" with being able to pull amazing ideas out of my ass to make stuff work for ideas. I mean I've been able to come up with stuff at the drop of the hat for others, but when it comes to mine... I got nothing.
Help.

I hate the airlines
Posted 13 years agoWas gonna book my tickets for MFF on friday. My paycheck wasn't able to be direct deposited so I had to run to the bank and deposit it on friday before work. So I decided to wait till today to book them.
On Friday. They were $139 on United.
Today they are $204 on United.
a $65 increase in price in 2 days for no reason.
As it stands. I'm gonna fly American Airlines again cause they are only $214 round trip.
God I hate the airlines.

Gaming streams
Posted 13 years agoWould anyone here actually be interested in watching me stream some games? Like VVVVVV and I wanna be the guy/fan game/gaiden and stuff like Minecraft as well?
Been trying to get somerthing working and it's not. Basically it's either you wouldn't be able to hear the game and only be able to hear my whiny ass yelling.
which I don't want to do
Maybe when I get a new PC I'll do it.

THE ANTHROCON 2012 POST!!
Posted 13 years agoOh god what a weekend!
Thursday - got to Pittsburgh around 11 am. Hung out a little and met up with Omegafolf. I had managed to procure him a new pair of boxing gloves (red ones to match his new trunks and reference sheet.) as well as a small costume title belt...which unfortunately doesn't fit him nor me without modification. As it happened we managed to get our badges and decided to go exploring in the strip district going to the Asian market for some candy and drinks. Afterwards we tried to find Primanti Brothers. After missing it by 3 blocks we found the original Peace, Love, and Little donuts location and procured their last dozen maple bacon donuts for the day with the intent of potentially selling them for a profit as Fernando's was closing entirely and could not get them.
As we went to the zoo. Omega tried to open a ramune soda he bought...which promptly exploded. Almost ruining a sketchbook someone was working on. Thankfully and mercifully nothing from the exploding soda got on it at all.
At which time we called zervon and were told to get up to his room for the keys. We went to the elevator line which didn't move....and that's when we suggested going up to the 19th floor by walking... thankfully we didn't keel over dead. Getting the room keys and reclaiming whatever breath we had to keep from dying. My girlfriend managed to get in roughly at about 4 and myself and other roomies went to to unload the car with all her stuff. After we got that all done we decided to go and have dinner at Fernando's. After wards we headed to our room for the night.
Friday - my god this was a blur. Got omega suited up for everything for his first time suiting at anthrocon. We took omegas old blue set of gloves hoping to run into Maximus Ursus as we had talked about getting some photos done. I dropped off some books for art for myself and ran into Max who we were told would be hopping into his brand new fursuit after opening ceremonies. We went to opening ceremonies and saw the stuff they would be handing out and where the badges could be got. We ran back to the room and got omega fully suited up. While waiting for the badges we ran into Hell-o Kitty who was wearing a pair of pink boxing gloves and trunks and really suprised him that there was another suiter doing the whole boxing gimmick thing. We went down to the dealers room and ran into omega's and max's close friend Tiptoe who said max was getting into suit soon. We ran back upstairs and waited for him to show up. We found him for the photoshoot. The pictures look amazing and Max really enjoyed it getting into everything. The pics will be uploaded soon. Max thank you very much and I am glad you enjoyed the little stuff we did. I know you'll get a kick out of suiting more and more. I can't wait to see what the big blue bear can get himself into in the real world. The rest of the day was amazing to the point I barely remember a lot of it.
Saturday - Ah Saturday. Went to the dealers room and grabbed my one sketch book and picked up a few other small items before getting omega ready for the parade. My friend Vera had managed to come as well and were going to meet her to set up for the parade. While me and omega are going to the parade start point one of the large contingent of Japanese furs was standing around and saw Omega in suit and proceeded to almost freak out. He was a friend of Dee and was astonished to see Omega's suit and through some very broken English asked him for a few photos. It was really quite amazing.
Vera and I managed to get some really prime real estate for the parade near the front doors where the suiters would start. After setting my camera up and such and waiting for almost an hour the parade started. Whoa jeez 1044 suits in the parade (number is somewhat closer to 1040 IMO cause of a few people who really aren't wearing suits get in there.) We ran into Dee's friend again who gave us a business card and got omega some pictures from dragon scales. We tried go run to meetup with another suiter for some pictures but it wasn't meant to be and we missed him. We finally got omega out of suit after almost 3 and a half hours.
Sunday - God sunday.... Got my last sketch book back and said as many good byes as I could. Went to the Funday Pawpet show and tried streaming it via my phone. But the battery drain was too much and had to stop. I really hated to miss Saruyon's performance, but thankfully he showed up at the show and I snapped a few pictures of him doing his juggling. It still amazes me he can do all this in fursuit. Went to Kage and 2's charity performance and laughed like crazy at two masters of their craft. Also snapped a few pictures of 2's "Suprise" for his boyfriend. But I'll let him tell that. After the performance Kazzy and I went with Zervon and his wife as well as a ton of other people to Buca de Beppo for a nice dinner. After deciding that staying would be bad because I wouldnt' get any sleep I decided to drive home in a helacious rainstorm that really made driving difficult. Also tie int he fact my GPS kept trying to make me go the wrong way and my wiper blades sucking. Yeah... fun times. Got home. unpacked went to bed.
TO everyone who I saw, met, waved at, shot pictures of. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you. This year was the best AC I've ever been to and it just keeps getting better.
Looking at how much stuff has been happening at the cons I'm definately gonna go back to making individual journal posts at the end of the day. It's just so hard to remember everything in the confines of a con on a monday or sunday night and summerize it all for consumption.
