A new camera
Posted 8 years agoSO my Sony Alpha NEX 5n has sadly passed to the void, and had to replace it. Well the control wheel is buggered and the screen is heavily scratched and hard to see with.
So went to the camera shop today and got it's replacement. the Sony Alpha 6000.
Hopefully over time will start taking stuff with it and posting here.

A long hot weekend.
Posted 8 years agoJust a weekend to forget at work. Every day something went wrong and having to deal with it. Getting caught up in everything too.
Also almost had my first jumper yesterday, so fun there too. Can't wait till the end of the months and my break in Torquay.

60 years.
Posted 8 years agoSo grandparents celebrated their 60 wedding anniversary last week. Went out with the family to celebrate with them.
Is pretty rare now fo a diamond anniversary and they got a card from the queen to congratulate them too, which was pretty neat to see and read.
Far more interesting and fun than a furry convention, cause who many can say they get to celebrate this type of even?

Left social media
Posted 8 years agoSo long story short, never really used it, so deleted my Twitter account tonight. Never got into the whole social media fad, because I'm not a sociable person in real life and never saw the interest in it. Also I never had a FaceBook account either as I never saw the point in that either. So anyone claiming to be me on any social media is lying, cause I don't use it.
Nintendo Switch
Posted 8 years agoSo got myself the new Switch and second hand too, but as it was less than a moth old it is still new and gets all the perks still.
Got a friend code set up so anyone want to play multiplayer on Fast RMX then hope to see you there.

Two short breaks booked
Posted 8 years agoSo got a couple of short breaks booked up this year so far.
One in March for a 5 night stay in Kent. Hope to visit a few of the castles in the area and a couple of wildlife parks as well.
The other is in June/July down in Torquay, that I like to do from time to time, seeing as I did the puffins in Farnes for the last 3 years, time to take a break from there again.
Hopefully plan to do the seals in Donna Nook this year instead, not been there in a few years, and still want to get a pup being born photos.

First time ever
Posted 8 years agoSo first time i have to ever call in sick at work.
Was at work the day before and during it I had sudden shaarp lower back pains. Made getting up this morning a nightmare, but rest and use of a heat pad is closely helping out. Hot bath tonight too to help relax the muscles more, and hopefully back to work next week.

Plans for the new year
Posted 11 years agoSo got a few things I plan on doing over the next year and they are:-
1: a new camera. Going after the new 7D mark 2 and already starting to save up the money for it.
2: lose some weight, something that is always on going.
3: visit Iron Bridge. Something I have wanted to do in a long time, as I love history and want to do some landscape photos of the gorge too.
4: visit Shetland Islands. That's the main plan for the year, to do during my summer leave. Again somewhere been itching to go for a long time, and do some wildlife photography, and a spot of whale watching too, cause they have orcas there.
5: Farnes Islands. Need to go there again and do some sea bird wildlife photos.
6: Visit more NT and EH places. Have the passes and so need to go to more where and when I can for days out.
7: Less time at home. Try and get out more, either for walks or out for the day, even if only a few hours at a time.
8: Visit smaller fur meets. Go to more local small meets again, and not the big LFM.
Be no furcons this year, after the last one I suffered a very bad bout of depression at, and has so put me off them for the near future.

Kingdom Hearts
Posted 11 years agoA great game on the Playstation 2 and out again on the PS3 in it's HD ReMix versions.
First one is still as evil as ever when it first came out all those years again, and CoM is still as annoying and confusing as hell.
Is fun playing these old games again, and I still have all the old versions of it, except CoM cause I got rid of it in frustration of the game as it was just pure evil.
Already clocked in over 16 hours on KH2, doing the first play though all the worlds, and Pridelands is always the more fun and interesting level they did, as Sora is a lion cub, and so controls completely differently, and the voice acting is just as good, and the remixed soundtrack is a lot better. Hearing He's a Pirate in Port Royal when you start to fight the enemies was a great feeling when it sounded so much more like the movie version, compared to the original score in the game.
Do have a small confession to make about this game series though. I have never completed the very first game, or Chain of Memories, but have completed all the others, from KH2 onwards right upto KH3D. Waiting on KH3 to get it's release date before I go about getting a PS4 for it.

If anyone finds my fursona there, either in art or being impersonated, can you please tell me, so I can try and get something done about it.

Patreon
Posted 11 years agoSeeing artists saying come and sponsor me on this and see the high res image only if you pay for it.
Not interested at all, and see it as only a money grab by some.
Making me think of stop using and watching those artists that use it.
When you look at how much you can pledge them for a month and every month and some wanting over $500 for people, can see that it's cause they are getting lazy to do work, and think that people are dumb enough to give up their own hard earned money each month, so they don't have to work so hard to make it. And a lot of the times, you don't even get anything from the artist at all, just the ability to see the image they post here without the stupid Patreon watermark over part of the picture.

Another update on life.
Posted 11 years agoSo been a while since I last posted anything on here, so wanna post a few bits on here again, and then just ignore till I get bored again to update this.
Got myself a all new bike last month to try and get myself fit again and lose some unwanted belly fat I have. Also been eating less and walking some more, and am slowly going down in weight, be a long while to get to something much more reasonable I think, but am determined to get there.
Having another holiday down in Cornwall, this time on my own and not with anyone, so have a lot more freedom, and visit a few places that I wanted to last time but couldn't, either due to weather or cost factors. Staying in the same holiday camp as last time, which is a nice little one, and makes for a great base.
Also been invited to a wedding and be the photographer for it, and so will be an interesting experience, have seen the venues and got a few ideas of my own as well as to what I want to do. So had to book up the ferry to the Island and a place to stay the night as well, so plan on spending the day and go visit a few places I have never been to before hopefully.

So here in Torquay
Posted 11 years agoSo my weekend break has started and am now all settled into the hotel bedroom I have. Nice double with a proper bath too, so be using that tonight after dinner to have a hot soak.
Plan is to go to Paigton Zoo tomorrow and then find something to do on the Saturday. Hope to post some photos on line while I'm here, so look out for some animal pictures, including some pictures of some balls of feathers and fluff that I may find while here.

Google hack.
Posted 11 years agoSo someone tried to get into my google account. Sadly for them Google stopped it as the IP address was from the US and not the UK where I live. So password as been changed there. Will be changing other passwords too when I get back home.
Good thing my more important accounts have more complex passwords than my google account did when I first set it up.
