It shall be known as Unitism. Unitism is my concept that humans of all faiths, genders, races, orientations, etc. can be united together for the betterment of our species. It can be a place of shelter for those seeking honest theological discussions with people of other faiths and beliefs. Unitism will be founded upon the principles of love, mutual respect, and altruism. We are too divided as a species; I wish to bring us closer together, to help us understand our fellow humans and reach further than the stars. This is my dream for the human race.

Today marks the beginning of a new age in American culture and history. For too long have we been subjected to the whims of the religious right, those who would enforce their own views upon us in the name of whatever deity they worship. Today marks a major victory and a massive step forward for the case of individual freedoms over the the conservative religious quackery that infest our political sphere. Today, the Supreme Court ruled that gay and lesbian Americans have the constitutional right to wed in any of the 50 states of this great nation. America is finally throwing off the shackles of oppression; no longer can the religious dictate who marriage should be between.

Although we may have won today, there is still a war to win. Many LGTBQ Americans still live in states that do not have anti-discrimination laws in place that prevents them from being fired by their employers who may not agree with their orientation. We must still keep fighting onwards until no one has to live in fear of being fired simply because of who they love ever again. A nation for all people, regardless of religion, race, sex, or orientation, that is what I strive for.

The vet cleared her to come home, she is now happily chilling on the kitchen counter! They gave her some antibiotics to help with her recovery and want to check back up in five days. I'm so glad she's doing better!

Update: We went to go see her at the vet today and she is looking quite a bit better. She has more energy now but is still a little drowsy from the pain medication. They're keeping her overnight but they might clear her to come home tomorrow. I'm glad she is getting better.

She kept vomiting last night, so my mom took her to the vet this morning. It turns out she has pancreatitis, and they don't know how long she has.....

In games I've noticed this troubling trend where some players try and report abusive or hateful behavior and they end up getting shamed by the community. "Grow bigger balls" someone might reply, or "Have a backbone" they might say. Little do these commenters realize they are contributing nothing to the conversation while inadvertently standing up for the bully. They may not be fully endorsing the troll's behavior, but they just don't care enough to actually support the player who is being bullied or abused. Let's call this passive-aggressive observation. In this game I've grown fond of called Killing Floor 2, I've suggested that a Vote-Kick feature be implemented to better combat bullying or destructive behavior that can otherwise ruin one's enjoyment of a game. https://steamcommunity.com/app/2320.....8173700282317/ That is the link to the discussion if you'd like to join. So my grandfather was rushed to the hospital today, turns out he has pneumonia. He's never had pneumonia before and he's 87, that understandably freaked my parents and I out. He's apparently doing better, but he'll be staying in hospital care for another day or two. A few hours ago I also learned that a close family friend of ours lost his battle to cancer. I've been thinking about death a lot lately; how it impacts us and changes our lives. I believe in reincarnation and feel that I have little to fear of death. I am, however, afraid of what my death would do to those who love me most. I don't want people being upset, I like it when everyone is happy. Sadly life doesn't work that way. Along your travels through this life someone will eventually be hurt by your actions or as a result of a decision you made. I realize this is a bleak way of looking at things, but it is also a realistic viewpoint. It always saddens me to see someone pass from this world, it will always hurt.

Update- D3DGear was apparently conflicting with the launcher. Why the hell would recording software prevent a game from launching?

Its obvious at this point, three days in, that Rockstar has absolutely no idea why the launchers are not working for so many people. My issue is that I run the game, the splash logo appears briefly, then the process promptly self-terminates. This happens 100% of the time, and no fix or workaround has been successful. So some of you might be wondering how such a widespread issue wasn't caught and fixed in the testing phase. Well, in all likelihood they knew about this issue but launched the game anyway. This is exactly what happened with AC:Unity when Ubisoft released an extremely buggy, unstable product. Rockstar, you are betraying the trust of your loyal customers and costing yourself future sales. Fix this issue soon or lose customers, simple decision.

So I'm watching Falling Skies when I get a call saying I've been randomly selected to win a grand prize from the Publisher's Clearing House. I of course told them that they were just trying to scam me, this led down a path I did not anticipate. I expected the caller to simply hang up, but no, this guy started asking me to perform some very detailed sexual acts on him. After a couple minutes of this he told me that he was going to send someone over to my house to cut off my genitals and my hands and "do me bad". At this point I called 911 and reported the number, police are looking into it currently. So yeah, not an ordinary day it seems.

Update: Now that I've had time to sit and think about the conversation I can recall some even more disturbing little details. Throughout the call the man had assumed I was a woman; after I told him I was male he started asking me if I was "a gay". When he began issuing threats he also said he would send a suicide bomber over to my home along with inflicting genital and appendage mutilation upon me. These types of punishments made me think of the homosexual punishments in older Islamic texts. So that's either a coincidence or this guy was some sort of religious extremist, which makes me worry a bit more to be honest.
