Living on my own
Posted 9 years agoSO... I haven't really been active a lot the past two months. That's because I moved out of my mom's house (it's about time if you ask me >.>) and have been living on my own since April 15th.. Mostly because if I were to stay living with her longer. I'd have to help her support rent and other things, so yeah, the decision was easy to make.
But, the place I'm living in had to be built first, which means that after I did finally move in, I had no internet access. So I had to order that first, which I did, back at the start of April. Somehow they couldn't install everything until May 10th, and to make it even worse, that was delayed until the 19th. And to add to all the bad luck that's been giving me, I had no substitute computer. The laptop I used before died back in January because of a dead motherboard, and replacing it was out of the question. The only thing I did have was a borrowed laptop from my mom's friend which ran Windows Vista. I don't have to say that it ran really slow, but that was mainly because it hadn't even had Service Pack 1 installed. So, doing all that I could, I installed every Windows Update it could get, and after that, the laptop ran... decent enough.. The only things I could do was browse Firefox, and even then browsing 2 pages on Inkbunny would take two hours. I couldn't even play Steam games, except for Undertale. You can imagine how boring things would have been if I couldn't at least use Skype x___x
But now I'm back, got a new PC, trying to catch up on what I've missed for a whole month, starting with the new FA submissions... all 6167 of them...

Happy birthday to me~

Yeah, turning 30 today, though judging from my behavior and appearance, you wouldn't say so :3

Goodnight Mahjong
Posted 10 years agoWell.. it's finally over..
Three weeks ago we learned the news of her illness, and it hit us hard, but I didn't want to say goodbye to her just yet. Excuse me for seeming like a horrible person, but I didn't want to go to Eurofurence with a sad heart. I gave Mahjong a lot of attention before going, and was super happy to see she was still there when I got back.
But she was eating less and less, and her breathing increased with every day, even then she would cheerfully come downstairs and approach me for some attention. Most of the time she would just lie on the living room floor, something she's never done before, and whenever I brought out the laser pen, she'd still come to me and wait for me to start playing. She would rarely reach out for the red dot, but that was enough for me.
Then on monday, she would eat maybe one or two bites, before giving up. We had to make a decision then, and so we did. We decided to take her to the vet and send her off into the afterlife. Catching her was easy, her secret base was still in my closet where I could reach her with no problem. I pinned her down on my bed, causing her to let loose some fluids like she's always done when in panic, and waited for my mom to bring the carrier, then quickly shoved her into it and let her calm down a bit.
At the vet, we were told that they used to give pets shots to calm them down before giving them the final one, but that it might result in pets throwing up or not reacting to the final shot at first, so we decided to let the first shot be her last, and once she got it, she calmed down instantly. She was rolled on her side as she looked at us with those big, colorful eyes until the vet stated her heart had stopped beating. I thought I had shed every tear I had to offer, but I was wrong. I stayed by her side a little longer while my mom payed the vet. I picked her up and held her over my shoulder, something I wouldn't have dreamed of when she was still alive, but it made me happy, it truly did.
Here's a video I took before we decided to bring her:
Finally, I dedicate this verse from "Lullaby for a Princess" by Ponyphonic to Mahjong, may she rest in peace:

I love you; I miss you
All these miles away
May all your dreams be sweet tonight
Safe upon your bed of moonlight
And know not of sadness, pain, or care
And when I dream, I'll fly away and meet you there

Sleep...Mahjong
Posted 10 years agoRemember this little furball?
We took her in when she was 7 months old. She was found on the street at 2 months old, so she was incredibly shy when got her. She was hiding every second of the next few days/weeks/months, only coming out at night when we were asleep, inside a locked living room to keep the other cats from interfering in her taking a bite to eat. Eventually she opened up, which took a lot of petting and scratching behind the ears. At first, she appeared to say "stay away from me" by biting my fingers every once in a while, but after a while she started to rub back against my hand.
She never got over her shyness towards humans. She wouldn't let anyone pick her up, and stroking her belly was out of the question, so if we ever went on vacation and we had to take all our cats to the animal shelter, catching her was the hardest task. She could find every way to hide herself so that grabbing her was impossible, and drugging her with sleeping pills made her drowsy once, but she learned keep an eye on her food ever since.
As time went by, she and I formed a little bond with each other. I was the first to ever pet her using two hands, she would sometimes sleep on my bed, and when it was storming outside, she would hide next to me on the couch, pressing her body against mine. Even so, she would always keep one or both of her eyes open whenever she was being pet.
After building a cat tree for our cats, she would always be on the top basket, looking out as if she ruled over us. If she had fallen asleep or was about to doze off, and you'd call out to her, she would roll over on her back and mewl to me, and only me. If my mom did that, she'd look back as if to say "yeah, hi and stuff". I bought her a laser pointer after that which she adored to death. Whenever I used it, she would run over near me and wait for the mysterious red dot to appear on the floor. Eventually she found out it was me who made it appear, but even so, she would run over to me and look up at me with those adorable eyes of hers, then look down and waited for me to start playing, eagerly raising and shaking her behind like a true hunter would.
Why am I telling you this?
Last week my mom noticed that she'd been losing a little weight. We kept an eye out for her whenever we fed her to see if she would eat properly, and nothing appeared to be wrong, because the other cats would often drive her away to eat out of her bowl. But then my mom felt a little lump in her belly, so on Friday we decided to take her to the vet. The vet took some samples of her blood, and told us we would get the diagnosis today. But since she's so shy, catching her was still difficult, and after returning home, she'd go hide in my closet, only coming out whenever she was being fed or wanted to eat something.
Today, my mom called out vet for answers. Mahjong appears to have Feline Leukemia. Which is incurable. On top of that, she might have a small tumor, which would be the small lump in her belly.
I haven't been able to keep my eyes dry since hearing this news, especially since my mom's already talking about having her put to sleep. She's so beautiful and I love her so much, but I don't want her to suffer unnecessarily. And I want to be there when she is put to sleep, but I can't bear to watch her slowly fade away. It breaks my heart when she doesn't even seem to respond to the laser pointer anymore, except for the occasional half-hearted attempt she gave me this morning. Right now we need to test a little bit more of her blood to see if it is infectious towards our other cats as well..
We're planning on framing some pictures of her to remember her by, and I'm even thinking of letting her get cremated, so that she would always be with us even after she's gone. I try to keep my mind off of it all, but she's been there each morning for the past 8 and a half years, always happy to say hi..
We've lost a few cats in the past, don't get me wrong, but they either get hit by a car or never return, and for some reason that's not as bad as watching the life go out in her eyes.
I have such a big sad right now...

Posted 11 years agoAwww man, we had such a good run, but in the end, Argentina was just a little better.. Oh well, I wasn't expecting us to do anything big, and so far that seemed to have worked.
Happy New Year!
Posted 12 years agoWow, 2013 went by fast! Lot of things have happened. I got a € 2600 tax refund which allowed me to buy a new laptop. I got an extra job that really helped with paying bills, and I discovered something about me that I'm not going to share :P
Let's hope 2014 will be even better :3

Rome.. Y U NO have toilet seats?
Posted 12 years agoSeriously, what's up with that?
Anyway, just got back from a 5 day vacation to Rome with my mom, and wow, what a difference in culture, language, and of course temperature. Going from 12 to 15 degrees Celsius to 26 to 29 in one flight. Didn't need a sweater all week. And not a cloud in the sky, most of the time.
The first day we arrived at 7 PM, and after figuring out how the public transportation worked, we got out of the metro at our stop. And with 4 different exits we just took one and got lost pretty fast. We asked for directions, and learned that Italians don't really spend time to learn English. At least, not those who we talked to >.>
The next day, after buying a Roma Pass, gaining us three days of transport on bus, tram or metro, we decided to go visit the Colosseum. Here we encountered what we would see more and more later on in the next few days; construction. For some reason Rome decided this month was the perfect time to start working on all their most famous tourist attractions and/or fountains. After that my mom and I wanted to visit the Via Borghese, because she wanted to show me some famous statue, but there they told us we couldn't enter because we didn't have a reservation, and the next available spots would be on sunday.. and we were leaving on friday.. so I'll just Google it or something >.>
Oh well, after that we decided to look up a Internet area to catch up on email and youtube, and later that night took a free tour going from the Spanish stairs down to Fontana di Trevi, which took 2 and a hours of walking and talking. Ate spaghetti like a true Italian afterwards; with just a fork.
On wednesday we went to the Vatican Museum, and that's when I realized something... I had never seen so much penis in my life until I visited the Vatican Museum.. I know it's art and stuff, but jeeze, think about the children XD
Anyway, my mom sent some postcards from the Vatican Post office, with its own authentic Vatican stamps, Unfortunately we couldn't visit the Basilica di St. Pietro, because apparently the pope was visiting that day, meeting with pilgrams and such, causing the line to get in to be enormous. I couldn't see where it started or ended O.o
On Thursday we had planned a tour to see Pompei. We got up at 6.30 to go to the meeting point on 7.30, since the bus ride there took 3 hours. We spent 4 hours there, most of the people coming with taking tour guide for 2 hours, and we got to see how the people lived and built their lives before the Vesuvius volcano covered its entire city with ashes. They even had fast food courts there! And to top it all, its own whore house, specially made for sailors to relieve some stress. The rooms had pictures above the doors for the sailors to point out what they wanted. And if it got dark, and the sailors wanted to find their way to them, they would howl out of the windows, giving them all the nickname "Lupanare", as Lupa is 'she-wolf' in Latin. The only problem were the roads. Google it to see what I mean. But that's not all what happened that day. After coming back from another 3 hour trip on the bus, the hotel staff told us our travel agency had filed for bankruptcy, and to make it even better, they told us they hadn't paid them the money I paid to make this trip possible, so I had to cough that out of my sleeves as well. It's a good thing I happened to have the €586,95 on my bank account at the moment >.>
The hotel staff kept apologizing, but I told him it wasn't his fault.
On friday, we packed our bags, and left them at the hotel while we spent our last day in Rome visiting the Basilica di St. Pierto, the line incredibly smaller than wednesday, and I managed to climb all the way to the top, giving me a good look over the city, but killing my legs on the way down. We also found a market with stands selling all kinds of stuff like sunglasses, shoes, watches and clothes. Found myself a Avenged Sevenfold t-shirt and sweater, which I never expected there in the first place. Speaking of which, is listening to their music inside the St. Pietro's church a bad thing? I started to wonder about that after hearing the lyrics "I looked the devil in the eye" >.> <.<
But unfortunately, our time in Rome had ended, and we picked up our bags, exchanged names with the ever so nice and cheerful hotel staff, again telling him it was not his fault, and set off to catch our train to the airport. After almost fearing we had missed our flight, we got on board and found out two other passengers hadn't checked in yet, so that took a lot of stress off of our backs. And after leaving Rome and its 24 degrees Celsius, we arrived back in Amsterdam and its 7 degrees Celsius, making us think back of all the fun we had of visiting the churches Tom Hanks went through in the movie Angels & Demons...
By the way, I have spent 5 days without a keyboard, so bear with me if you find any spelling errors D:

Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (Wolf Children)
Posted 12 years agoA couple of days a friend of mine recommended this movie to me, saying I would like this movie a lot as well. She showed me a trailer, and after seeing it, I was sold. Oh my God this movie is amazing! It has great animation, enjoyable characters, great sadness but also a lot of humor. If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly recommend that you do.

Posted 12 years agoAnd boy does the fun keep getting better!
and
were on time to leave for Germany and we traveled to Germany with no problem at all. And as usual, the Maritim Hotel is beautiful, just like the 3 years before, but what's even more amazing, is that the EF registration had no queue's at all! Usually, it's like half an hour waiting, but they managed to bring that down to two or three people waiting in front of you. After a quick stop at the shopping mall, we were on our way to Con-ops to see if we could work on this year's Charity. Unfortunately, things were still being set up, so we had to wait till next.
When wednesday came, we were off preparing for Charity. While Blazingstar and Itchigo went off to build a tiki-booth (since EF's theme this year was Hawaii), I stayed behind with someone else to cut the lottery tickets, like we had last year. Cutting them took time, since we had printed about 100 pages and 3000 tickers in total, but when we thought we were done with that, we had to fold them all as well. Folding took around 3 and a half hours, and eventually more people showed up to help after someone asked over the PA if anyone had any spare time to waste. In no time we had around 9 people helping us, including even
. Even then, that pile of tickets just didn't seem to decrease, but eventually someone had to get the last one, and by then we were all getting into it and fighting for more to fold.
We decided to open the lottery booth that night, but of course things didn't go as we thought it would, and a few things went wrong. But that all changed the next day, when everybody kept buying lottery tickets (€1 a piece) or, by popular demands, a Charity concert ticket (€5 each) starring FoxAmoore and former Guest of Honor, Amadhia.
As always, the opening ceremony was entertaining, but unfortunately chairman Cheetah didn't come in with one of those hawaiian skirts. After everybody had sat down and explained the rules, as usual Mistyfur would take too long, causing the Charity collecting fursuits to come up behind him and threaten to hit him with an inflatable baseball bat.
Not everything went the way we planned. Itchigo twisted his knee, causing him to walk limp with pain in each step he took. But that didn't slow the stubborn fennec down, even after continuously telling him to take it easy and SIT DOWN! I also couldn't take advantage of the fact that I'm a Super Sponsor this year, and was granted an hour entrance to the Dealer's Den earlier than normal sponsors, but even so, it made going into events faster than normal Sponsors more fun. Uncle Kage was lively as ever, and - along with Foxamoore - was very entertaining in his Story Hour, even when he and Fox switched places behind the piano.
This was also the first year I wore a tail. It's black with red streaks at various points. It felt great feeling it sway behind me, and it feels empty now. I might ask for a tail that fits my fursona more later.
I participated in buying lottery tickets myself too, probably spending too much money on them, but hey, it was for a good cause, and I brought enough with me this year. Even won a few prizes too, like books (both in German, which I can't read) and three plushies, a small lioness, a fox (which Blazingstar really wanted >:3) and a little tiger.
The fursuit gameshow was really fun. The first game was where they asked for 40 volunteers and if they would mind if they would be hugged by the participants. After already having a few beers, I thought "what the heck: and happily volunteered. We had to stand in line, as if we were being searched for illegal items, which were handed out by the stage crew. For some reason, I was given one of those items, and was eventually picked out of the line. Not knowing what to do, I - and a few others who had 'illegal items' - just headed for the stage and watched as they were looking for remaining items, with the game show host saying "Don't leave them alone. You can't trust them~" It was a lot of fun.
And of course, the Pawpet Show. They really did their best again this year, with special effects, great voice acting, and of course amazing puppetry. But not before announcing that we broke last year's record of counting the donation money everybody gave to Charity. The amount? Already over €15000!!!
I am so proud to say that I helped everybody gather such an amazing amount, and asking people if they had tried the Charity lottery yet, but even more to see the reaction the people of the WildTierHilfe Fiel as they burst into tears right after hearing the number.
But, unfortunately, as was mentioned at the opening ceremony with a promotional video, it is time to say goodbye to Magdeburg, as this convention has already attracted over 1650 people, which is a number too big for the Maritim Hotel to handle. We got a very enjoyable introduction to our new location next year; Berlin. I am thrilled to see what they have in store for us, but will miss Magdeburg and its very open citizens, who cheered us on and waited in line to see the fursuit parade, and the Mayor actually sending in the Police to clear out space for them. Thanks, Magdeburg, you will be missed quite a lot!
The trip home had a minor complication. We arrived in Hannover, where we had to switch trains in order to get back to the Netherlands, but the platform our train was supposed to arrive on, had its current train delayed by half an hour. Ten, all of a sudden, the train that was supposed to arrive after the current one came in first, and the delayed one right after that. So our train would supposedly come after this one right? Wrong. In the corner of my eye, I saw the sign on the platform across from us say "Amsterdam", and I got suspicious. I decided to check it out, and as expected, our train had moved one platform. I hurried back to my friends, told them the news, and we all ran to try and catch our train. Luckily, we could, and we were on our way back home. The only thing that annoyed me about this, and I'm probably nitpicking, was that they didn't even thank me for following my hunch, but oh well, everything turned out okay.
And now, back to work @__@
and
were on time to leave for Germany and we traveled to Germany with no problem at all. In no time we had around 9 people helping us, including even
. Even then, that pile of tickets just didn't seem to decrease, but eventually someone had to get the last one, and by then we were all getting into it and fighting for more to fold.We decided to open the lottery booth that night, but of course things didn't go as we thought it would, and a few things went wrong.

Hacker warning
Posted 12 years agoRumor has it there is hacker on FA, hacking people and blocking our friends to make them block us. You'll then be banned from FA.
Write the same warning in your journal to protect not only yourself but everyone! Here's another warning: If I'm being a jerk, saying stuff like "Shut up", "Get lost" or "I don't want to see you on my homepage anymore", that's not really me. That's the hacker.
Write all of this down in your journal too!
Please do this, it's for the safety of everyone!
Forward this message before someone gets hacked

Seriously PETA?
Posted 13 years agoThat feeling when the EF auction has raised over 10000 euros
Posted 13 years agoIt's unbelievable!
All the time we spent selling lottery and concert tickets, as well as the delicious 'Otter Noses', was spent well. I'm so glad I could participate in this event, to see all the furries walk by who (sometimes voluntarily) stopped to lend a paw and give us every penny they could afford in order to help the poor dogs that needed it. And to finally see the incredibly overjoyed and teary reaction of the people who ran the official charity, made it all worth it!
I hope to do this again next year :D

Bye bye wisdomteeth
Posted 14 years agoSo after going to the dentist a lot this year, they kept on saying I should make an appointment to get my wisdomteeth removed since two of them were growing diagonally, so that's what I did today. They told me I could choose which side I wanted removed first, so I chose the right side. The hardest part was the anesthesia shots though, but after it started working everything felt funny. It's been three hours since the operation, and everything still feels numb XD
Have to go back next month to take out the other two, though, and I am only able to chew on the left side for now

Pokemon Black
Posted 14 years agoSo I've finished playing through both White and Black and decided it would be fun to complete the Unova Pokedex and catching every Pokemon instead if just having seen them all.. RIght now I'm down to having obtained 150 out of 153 Pokemon, and all I need now are the two fossil Pokemon and their evolutions. The only problem here is that I was stupid enough to pick the same fossil in both White and Black, so I am unable to complete the dex unless I either start over White and play through it till I get it, or if anyone of you has the one I'm looking for and is willing to send me over a Tirtouga ^ ^;

Back
Posted 15 years agoSo I just got back from Eurofurence, and as usual I had a great time. We had a minor inconvenience when
and me were waiting for
to show up, and then it turned out he was still asleep >.>;
After paying for another train ticket, he took off 2 hours after we did, and after about 6 hours we made it to Magdeburg. It didn't take long to find the hotel - we could have arrived there sooner if we didn't take a detour.. don't ask - as we could soon see some fursuits standing outside. After standing in line for almost half an hour or more, we finally registered and got our roomkey/EF badge. Then we were introduced to the elevators, and it immediately started off with a good start, as one was being repaired.
The con was great, I had lots of fun seeing all of my friends again as well as the artists I've seen last year. I was even talked into putting [url=/view/4112485/ one of my pics[/url] up for display in the Art Show, for a starting bid of €10, giving 50% to charity, and I would sure like to meet the one who did bid €10 for it X3
One of the very interesting times I had was during the Art Auction, as "Uncle Kage" was sure to entertain us, and as always, he succeeded it making us laugh.
The Pawpet show was once again amazing, and it looks like it's getting better every year.
All in all, I hope to go again next year :3

Where are you staying?
At the main hotel, since it's big enough
Who will you be hanging out with?
With whoever wants to hang out :3
Do you do trades or free art?
I don't really do those things, unless I randomly feel up for it
And commissions?
Nope ^^;
What suits will you bring?
None
What is your gender?
Male
How old are you?
24
Can I touch you?
Sur-wait.. where? >.>
Can I talk to you?
Of course :3
Can I buy you lots of drinks?
Only when I can't afford my own
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
If you're in a fursuit, then yeah :3
Can I hang around with you?
I'd like that :3
How tall are you?
About 1.70m I think
You look pissed off can I come up to you?
It might calm me down, yeah
Are you nice?
I think I am :3
Can I stalk you?
Sure, but bathroom breaks are private!
How long are you going?
from the 1st till the 5th
Do you have an artist table?
Nope
Will there be any Artwork in the ArtShow?
I don't think so
Do you like parties?
So long there is beer.. enough beer :3
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Just tap me on my shoulder or something, but not too hard X3
