HELLO.

I'm considering selling Navir's character!
There are quite a few reasons, the main ones being:
-Financial stress
(^+makes it so I can't attend cons)
-Negativity surrounding the design
-Space (i have a furhead and my room is) (so) (small)

When I say "Negativity surrounding the design", I only mean there is negativity associated with ME, not Navir himself. I've had no ill will towards Navir as the character! He has just been my fursona through some EXTREMELY LIFE-ALTERING ROUGH PATCHES and I more or less want to brush everything off. Getting rid of Nav' might help with that! He'd be infinitely more useful to me as money, from how I see it.

SO, WHAT'S INCLUDED? (...everything)

I have a fursuit head of Navir!
My head size is 21" and this would easily fit bigger heads! It's sliiiightly loose on me, but not enough for me to bother padding it. Also: it was made to wear glasses inside!
You can find pictures in his gallery folder, as well as more info under the official turnaround pictures by the maker, kemocube.
I've also uploaded a few videos to youtube, this one is the most recent

As for commissioned/traded/ect. artwork... Holy hell, there's a fair amount.

So when it comes down to it, considering there's a fursuit head+hands+accessories involved, I'm looking for:

I can make a tail/legs/armsleeves/bodysuit/ect. for you if you want to pay extra. That can be discussed! I have fur from the same dye lot that the head was made with (so that there aren't any color matching issues) as well as previous suitmaking experience.

Home and preparing to go to work in a few hours ;v;""

I had plenty of fun! I spent the majority of the days (April 9-10) NOT in fursuit, following  nokimonster  nadie- and  morvalee around, taking video and pictures when my phone would cooperate.

I'mma try to make a video compilation later in the week. I'll make a journal about it, if I succeed *m*

If you follow my twitter, then you can see photos and short videos (that will probably be in the "big video" if I can create it) that I uploaded while I was there.

I had a ton of fun and met up with a few online friends who i'd never met irl. While I had PLANNED to be in fursuit 90% of the time, I found out I have just as much fun if I'm running around taking video and being a handler (hellyeah, micromanaging)

Now that I'm home... I'm gonna work with a couple friendos to see if we can't organize local meetups for the Ann Arbor area.

I could not stop crying i cried at least five separate times because i was alone in the theater and it all kept hitting home

(and then i sat in my car sobbing for 15 minutes because a mix of life and then the movie's message is A+ ty Disney im misty eyed even thinkin about it)

I've been trying to get into the USCG for a month now and I have the ASVAB+MEPS on the 16th and 17th. please pray for me to pass through MEPS with no issues 8')c

my dad's a retired Senior Chief so this is something I've grown up with and thought about doing and I really hope I am allowed in r.i.p.

Helllloooo,

I've deleted my commission info/links/ect. from my profile because I'm not sure if/when I'll be open for commissions again.

Between having a tense summer 2015 commission, and then being unable to complete the current commissions I had lined up for late-2015/early-2016 due to anxiety/external-stress/ect. no-one's-fault-but-my-own reasons, I'll probably take a break for a good long while. A few people were excited to commission me in 2016, and I'm sorry that it won't be a possibility.

I might make things of my own design at some point, maybe a personal suit, but ultimately work's eating me up, so I'll probably be mostly inactive, like you've seen (or.... not seen, I guess that'd be the right phrase).

At work:

Seven (7) (S E P T) (S I E T E ) ( S E V E N ) people quit yesterday in my department alone (Front-End - Cashiering/Customer Service Desk/ect.). Usually it's "only" about three people every other week. People get hired and, within a month, they quit.
(the scheduling is horrible and supervisors can be severely catty)
(and NOW they're allowed to keep you late without any warning and you canNOT leave until they dismiss you)
(they rarely used to tell me anyways so I was unaware they were even required to in the past >|"9)

So, even though I am supposed to be working solely graveyard shifts now, they keep scheduling me on (LONG) day shifts. Even when I tell them not to. B/c they're about 90% sure I won't quit no matter what they do with my schedule.

Day+Night shifts F U C K up my sleeping, so i wind up just sleeping and going to work with maybe four hours in-between, until i take a day to stay up for 24+hours so I can reset my schedule. I wind up with tremors in my hands, which makes it hard to work on fursuit stuff every day that I have off. (and usually, as soon as I'm back on-schedule, they throw me onto another day shift).

[As a pre-note: I want to thank all of my commissioners for being so patient and understanding and absolute sweethearts. I know I still haven't gotten WIPs out, but I will get your suits done by the end-deadlines I set in place. This definitely is not directed at any of you.]

I know of someone who might not take fursuit commissions anymore because their customers have constantly heckled them for updates, didn't read the artist's directions, and otherwise acted entitled towards them.

And that's not okay. at all. There is a constant theme of commissioners treating artists (across all mediums of art) with less respect and dignity than any other human being, and THAT. IS. NOT. EXCUSABLE. in the least.

It's perfectly understandable to want to know what you're putting your money into. But, that doesn't make it acceptable to heckle, get passive-aggressive, guilt-trip, or otherwise be moody and manipulative towards the artist. This kind of behavior is completely unnecessary.

YOU don't know the artist's mental situation. YOU should be listening to the artist. THEY are providing YOU with A SERVICE. YOU do not know BETTER than the ARTIST about their CRAFT. ARTISTS ARE NOT INVINCIBLE. WE ARE NOT SUPERHUMAN EMOTIONLESS ROBOTS. WE HAVE FEELINGS.

I've seen this going on for quite awhile and it takes so much effort not to call ppl out

I don't know if it'll be a good or a bad thing!

I'm gonna be picking up 3rd shift hours while one of the 3rd shifters goes on maternity leave. Starting today, 10/16.
This means i'll be working 9:30pm-6am, Friday to Monday, for about a month (I think).
Whether they'll still schedule me for mid/2nd shifts during the week is up in the air.
I was notified of this..... "yesterday" (10/15) (I haven't slept yet) at the end of my shift. so. very short-notice.

IF THEY LISTEN TO ME and don't schedule day shifts Tuesdays->Thursdays, THEN I'll have a ton of time to work on fursuit commissions, because I will have three days off in a row
IF THEY DON'T LISTEN TO ME and schedule me day shifts during the week, THEN I'll need to apologize and compensate my commissioners for the toll that my schedule will take on my production time.

My store is part of the UCFW union but the department I work for is kind of known by its employees to not care too much about our sleep schedules, because I don't think Michigan has very strict labor laws (?? some people have been given closing and then opening shifts back-to-back??), so.
I'm gonna.

I've never worked graveyard shifts.
The earliest-morning shift i've ever worked in my life was 3:45am-11am at a Starbucks.
And I can't even drink coffee anymore to stay awake.

I don't make many journals! But this is a very important matter to me!! but my ferrets are okay. no worries there.

BUT!! This person:

Has a ferret who needs to see a vet! ASAP! Ferrets tend to go downhill FAST when they start appearing sick.

They need $150 to cover the vet bill, because they are in the USA and ferrets are considered "exotic pets" here (and so... the vet bills skyrocket).

HERE IS THE JOURNAL DESCRIBING WHAT'S UP

They are taking commissions in an attempt to raise funds! And I can personally vouch for their Luggage Tag commissions... They are exceptional quality. I'm going to be using them during travelling for sure.

Please help this person if you can. I'm in such a tight spot financially and I have no clue when/if I'll be able to donate money, but I'm going to try to work something out (even $5 helps).

Please go help someone avoid losing their bubby. Because we have no idea what could be wrong. I lost a ferret December 8 of this past year, and I still haven't fully come to terms with it. I don't want that to happen to anybody, ever.

I've decided to not take commissions that ask me to stray from the reference sheet's design.
The reference sheet you provide is the design that I will use. If you need a different eye color, a longer tail, different-shaped markings, ect., then you HAVE TO CHANGE THE REFERENCE SHEET BEFORE COMMISSIONING ME. You can't ask me to change the design. The only time you can request a change is if it doesn't look like I'm following the reference closely enough.

I had a "Significanty Not As Described" paypal claim filed against me, which is why I'm making note of this. Fortunately, the claim was ruled into my favor, but that was too much stress to risk letting it happen again. Just too much silliness for my weak lil' shrimp heart to bother entertaining.

That being said, I'm going to take this next season's worth of custom commissions, and then I might take some months to focus on premades/Artistic-Freedom designs. So if you send me a quote request for 2016, then know I might not open for customs until April 2016.

I guess I'm gonna officially call it a "Kriller Shrimp" now.

Not that I necessarily plan to make more members of the species, but it's easier to say than "shrimp-inspired sea creature that isn't a canine".

It is supposed to sound sort of like "Killer Shrimp". They have a mean kick (a sort of mirror to the Mantis Shrimp's punch) that can kill a man if it hits the right areas. ... I have a horrible wrathful response to anything threatening my friends or family, so I needed something to reflect that, ahhhawhaw.

('Cept I have arthritis in my legs so Navir's a poor representation of the species |=w=)b )

So. there it is. Kriller Shrimp. Generally from polar marine environments.
