Okay, so let's just go ahead and say it. Where the hell is the comic?

There being such a delay on this update, and possibly for a while is, in truth, a mixed blessing and I can only ask for your polite understanding in the matter. Let me explain why- I have faith in the small watcher base assembled here thus far and trust you all will actually be happy and understanding for me... instead of hating me.

To quote the old dying man from Monty Python & The Holy Grail:
I'M NOT DEAD YET

Page 2 has much of the hatching work done. (That's the line work that makes for all the shading, for ya non-artsy folks.) and I hope to tackle through the home stretch on that real soon. I've made a journal relevant to my schedule on my own FA page, but I thought it prudent to discuss things in greater detail here as they heavily effect Neverwind.

So yeah, that runaway page there. Hope to get it up here soon.

3rd page was probably always going to be delayed anyway- but that's because it HAS to come with page 4 as a two-page splash. It's gonna be awesome!

BUT WHEN WILL I SEE THOSE PAGES, BADGER?

And that- I cannot definitely answer. "Soon as possible" is the best estimate. Why? Here's the part where I hope ya'll will be HAPPY for me-

I have a TON of commissions to do! So much that I've now made it official, around mid-January, that my day job I HATE will no longer have me in there 5 days a week. I'll have at LEAST 3 days off each week to do art. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

So I have to prioritize my commission work to the top of my list. I think everyone can understand why.

As these first few customer payments clear, I wanna finish up page 2 of Neverwind. It'll be quiet around here for a while, but with the increase in days off I'm much more confident that an update schedule can be established and MAINTAINED in the coming months. The problem I had at the start here is that I was BLIND-SIDED by one of our most crucial workers at my job being out of the country for OVER A MONTH. >:C Right when we're launching a comic here! Worst. Timing.

1) Neverwind is a webcomic (obviously) for adults and the nearly-adult. The comic contains offensive language, violence, and mature themes but is not a pornographic comic. At launch, the comic updates on a weekly schedule, with a new page posted on Wednesday nights, US Eastern time.

If certain things in the comic seem familiar, that's because they are. Neverwind is heavily influenced by multiple games, books, movies, and even comics! The creator would like to mention a few of these favorites, which have probably influenced Neverwind's development the most:

Skies of Arcadia
Minecraft (a longer story on that one, haha)
Last Exile
His Dark Materials
Various cyber/steampunk works
And many, many more
((Sine Mora is a worthwhile mention, but its existence was completely unknown until 5 days before the comic launched. Just started that one now.))



2) WEDNESDAY. EVENING/NIGHT. US EASTERN.

That said, in the future there will be donation incentives and other offers to help promote Neverwind. If we reach enough donations on a regular basis, the artist can scale back their (hated) job and dedicate more time to the comic, faster reaching the goal of 2 updates per week!
(That's not an outstretched hand, asking for your money whilst holding extra comic pages hostage. Just a factual statement. Income here equals less reliance on that job, resulting in more comic time. Neverwind will always be free to read and enjoy.)

Well I'd like to help in ways that don't cost money... Hey sure! PLEASE! Post links to Neverwind's FA account, or the Tumblr, refer people to the illustrator if they need work done, etc etc etc!
