Linux makes me feel like I know what I'm doing
Posted 16 years agoUbuntu and Linux Mint is like fantasizing about sex, akin to fapping alone under the covers and romanticizing about fantasies.
Gentoo is like having sex for the first time. Rough, uncomfortable, and learning about things you've deemed unnecessary, akin to learning that it is impossible to hug side by side upon a bed, for your bottom arm will fall asleep.
I've successfully installed Gentoo, but I have to keep reminding myself; did I really want to know?

Friday, said hi to loads of people though honestly it was mainly furries I see on a regular basis. Which is nice for a change. I saw lots of new furries I never got to talk to; hopefully they show up at the post-con depression because they seemed local.
Saturday I was Nova-less for most of the day. Noticeable events were the (short) fursuit parade, zombie flash mob, DDR tournament :P, and the Saturday night dance. I crashed a bit earlier than I expected (danced a little too hard I guess :/).
Sunday... again, Nova-less for the entire day. I got to the con at 1 PM and missed MANY of the panels I was planning to go to. I went to a ham radio panel I found mildly interesting but for the most part I didn't really do anything until closing ceremonies. Had yet another sushi dinner (furries really like sushi...), and came back in time for the magical Stormcock con. It was the first time anyone had ever seen me drunk, considering I've only ever been drunk of front of Lily. Nova (arrived halfway) enjoyed my drunken demeanor to my relief, but I could tell some furries were slightly perturbed.
All in all, I'm extremely grateful Rainfurrest is such a rapidly growing convention. It's the third year and there's already over 900 attendees! Hopefully it will become as large as FC or AC.
Anyways, I now have post-con depression to the n-th degree. Luckily there's not only one but TWO PCD parties to serve the local community.

Posted 16 years agoRainfurrest is this weekend. It was my first furry anything in Washington last year and therefore I'm gonna celebrate it from beginning to end. :)

- Had the energy to dance my butt off at nearly every dance (didn't go to the Dead Dog dance though, I had already gone back to Washington)
- Gay club.
- Dealer's Den.
- Glomping and cuddling like... everyone. Mostly Nova, Badinage, and Blacky though, and Vel whenever he was around.
- Furry masquerade (only a couple good acts though =/)
- Adventuring... driving to a Taco Bell that was already closed and stumbling across a Denny's at 3 AM in the morning, and getting lost on the way back.
- Surfing panel.
- Fursuit parade
- Fursuit with a ukulele jamming with Nova on HIS ukulele. :D
- Being leashed to Badinage for a short while. Murrrr.
- Smash Bros. Tourney I guess, though it's not something I'm enthusiastic about anymore.
- Me and Nova's Anni-valen-double-birthday, in which we gave each other awesome presents.
- LDW meetup at the local Denny's.
- Playing Apples to Apples in the line to FNL (Furry Night Live).
- FURRY NIGHT LIVE. Was amazing.

YES, OMG. Well, this time I minimized the time spent playing vidja games with furries and focused on actually enjoying the convention this time. :3 Met a whole lotta great people, especially Neko, Chaos, Fenrir, Charmy, and more. I actually went dancing for once, up until about 2:00 AM (though I did need a little sugar to keep me going until then). There's more that happened than I care to explain right now, so catch me on MSN sometime.
