Happy Valentine's Day~!
General | Posted 14 years agoHey everyone~! Just wanted to wish you all a Happy V-day~!
I'm not doing much for the day. You'd think I'd dislike this holiday because I at a point in my life started a relationship on Valentine's Day years ago and of course we broke up years ago. xD; But I'm actually quite neutral to the holiday.
I'm not sure if I'll have a pic up today. Most likely not. I haven't really felt as inspired to draw lately...
-clears throat- Anyways, I hope you all have a nice day and get to sample all of the nummy candies this holiday has to offer~!
What am I doing tonight? Hmm... I'll likely be watching youtube videos with jedinightwing over from Gaia.
Otherwise... I guess play Rhythm Heaven Fever. I'm almost done with it already. xD

Anyways, just wanted to wish you guys a happy new year and hopefully this year will be better than the last.
Hopefully this year will be better... December 2011 was not fun. Combination of health issues/tests for my parents - so far my dad is fine - now it's just my mother I have to worry about. Also, I got very ticked off with my insurance company. I sent documents in for new insurance and I got screwed over 3 times for different reasons. Eventually, I was able to get some insurance - hopefully that'll work out.
So yeah. After that's settled I have to get my dental and vision insurance as well. Gotta keep my eyes good and my teeth pearly white. ...yeah.
-clears throat- So yeah, December wasn't fun. XD But I'm an Optimist Prime about this new year.
1. I plan to try and lose at least 10lbs each month until I'm happy with my weight. Aka until I'm happy with myself physically. I've lost 30 so far - so yays.
2. Try to do artwork more. I haven't as been inspired and it makes me sad when I realize I hadn't drawn in a while. Especially since drawing is something I've done since I was 3.
3. Try not to worry about frivolous crap. Lately I was worrying about things that weren't as important.
4. Work on a new craft. I've actually been making amigurumi!
5. Try to be a bit more positive with myself. I usually feel embarrassed when I compliment myself.
6. Find a job. Not to mention set up an etsy and commissions to make money in the meantime. It won't be a lot, but it'll help when I'm job hunting.
...I think that's about it I can think of for right now. Nothing wrong if I set goals later though.
So anyways - do you guys have any new years resolutions?
In other news, I've recently got into the anime series Brave Police J-Decker. If you haven't seen it - I recommend checking it out. It makes me think Transformers in a way. XD 48 eps long - I'm currently on ep 18. 17 was beyond cute. So yeah, I'll likely do fanart for that series... damn me for drawing mecha when in 2003 I said that I would never draw mecha. I blame you, Transformers. -points-
-clears throat- So yeah, that's pretty much it for me. I'm currently making a ham for dinner because supposedly having ham on New Years brings good luck.
I'll hopefully have art up sometime soon~!

So right now, I'm just online browsing around mostly through Gaia and doodling.
All else fails I might have a holiday sketch up tonight at least. We'll see how I feel.

So I saw "The Muppets" movie...
General | Posted 14 years ago...and oh. My. God.
I went to see "The Muppets" with my best friend ~Satura (over on Deviantart) tonight, and... wow.
It was brilliant.
Way better than I thought.
I had so many moments where I thought I was going to cry.
It's nostalgic and yet fresh at the same time.
Totally a must watch movie. Seriously, this is the best Muppet movie done basing on a non-Jim Henson voice for Kermit. Now, I love the original Muppet Movie, but this new one seriously tugs at my heartstrings. (Muppets from Space is the one movie I reeeeeally do not like.)
As a huge Jim Henson/Muppets fan - I absolutely adore this movie. No complaints about it at all.
So go see it sometime! Whether you are a Muppet fan from the early times or the new - it is a must see. Everyone who checks it out I guarantee will love it.

Other than that, ~Satura and I were making a lot of Mass Effect jokes during the night since we both seem to like Garrus. XD I'll likely do a crack comic or 2 about some of the gags. They were a killer. And yes, there were calibrations involved if you get my joke. XD
So yeah, that's about it. I hope to get art up sometime soon.

How are you guys doing?
I'm not doing too bad so far.
I've been kind of in an art fix as of late since I got myself a better tablet where I can do light and airy lines I could only do when my tablet felt like it. ^^;
Other than that I've been working on more crocheting and knitting of scarves for friends and family. I've gotten about... -thinks-4 out of 6 done so far. I may do more though if I have enough yarn and my carpal tunnel doesn't get worse. XD
I haven't had any big spectacular ideas in drawing, but I am working on some things that I might post here. One of which is for a meme I'm working on based on Transformers Prime. Just thought it'd be fun to try.
I've also been trying to work on other kinds of animal characters like currently I'm working on a wolf reference sheet for 
rabidreptile for one of his characters. It may take a while, but that's something to look forward to once it's completed.
And with Halloween coming up... I'm not sure if I'm drawing anything this year for that day. I'm honestly not much for that holiday strangely enough. Dressing up is fun, but other than that - eh. Lol
I think that's about it for me for now. I think I'll get back to drawing. Hopefully FA's slowness for right now will be over at least by the end of this month.

Bad enough this morning I had a bit of FA account issues, but things seem alright now. I just got freaked out. n___n;
Anyways, I was going to the MD Rennaisance festival today with my best friend, but... well... we went to the parking lot, but there was too many people. We were in traffic for 2 hours!
So instead we went to a mall, shopped/browsed. I got myself a ring.
Then we had dinner and went to Micheal's to get some art stuff. I got thinner yarn and stamen to crochet cute little butterflies.
Then that was pretty much it. I just have a headache and got kinda sick when I got home. n_n;;
I'm just trying to relax now.
Anyways, I want to thank everyone for commenting and faving my newest works as of late. I know I've been slow with art, but I hope to post more sometime. Perhaps collabs if people are open to. I am working on a reference sheet for rabidreptile though!
Anyways, enough about me stressing. How are you all?

How are you all doing?
I'm doing alright. Sorry for not drawing/updating much. I've been having these moments where I want to draw something, but nothing seems inspiring. Lol. Maybe I need to consider working on collabs one day. -shrugs-
But anyways, since I haven't been drawing, I've been working on stuff like crocheting/knitting. I've been trying to make scarves for friends and family. So far I've finished 1 out of 6. XD But I work pretty fast, so I'm sure it'll get easier.
-thinks- I might be going to the Renaissance Fair in MD on the 8th or 9th to hang out with my best friend and have some fun since it's been a while. The last time we hung out was during Otakon. ...it's not even 2012 and I'm already pumped about Otakon. Mostly because most likely pervynamek02 will be there. So much fun hanging out with him. XD
Now if only this weather wasn't so... dreary looking. Although autumn is my favorite season.

We had an earthquake here not that long ago!
I heard about it being about a 5.9 in Virginia and it went along the East Coast quite a bit.
Keep in mind - this was the first earthquake I've ever experienced even if it was just a short period of time here.
I'm alright, as well as my family. If anything I'm just frazzled from it and other stress I was experiencing beforehand.
Is everyone alright?

ukent and I decided to give it a shot. Like him, I'm not going to be doing this day by day. I'm doing it all in one shot. Why? Because I don't talk about video games much and I thought I'd try. XD

Day 1 - First video game you ever played: I think it was Duck Hunt for the NES.
Day 2 - Your favorite character: Dante
Day 3 - A game that is underrated: God Hand. I blame the fact that IGN was stupid to give the game a 3.0 which turned people off sometimes. Seriously, it's a great game.
Day 4 - Your guilty pleasure game: New International Track and Field. ...it's a hard game and yet I want to play it to unlock Solid Snake. ...not much success though. >>; And I guess Viewtiful Joe... I get frustrated with it and haven't beaten it yet, but playing as Dante is so much fun... even though when he's in a speedo it kinda scares me.
Day 5 - Game character you feel you are most like (or wish you were): Wow. Er... I'm not really sure about this one. I don't know if there' any character like me. I'm open for suggestions though.
Day 6 - Most annoying character: Ooh... Ema in Apollo Justice. I'm sorry, I just couldn't STAND her in that game. ^^;
Day 7 - Favorite game couple: -thinks- In DMC2 - Dante/Lucia. I know I'm not much for this game, but something about that pairing makes me happy.
Day 8 - Best soundtrack: No More Heroes. I love the songs used especially during boss fights.
Day 9 - Saddest game scene: Saddest? Death of Gray Fox in MGS1/Twin Snakes. I just felt bad for the guy and his death was pretty gruesome.
Day 10 - Best gameplay: DMC3. Mainly because of the stylish combos you can use depending on the style. I'm more of a sword type and swapping swords on the fly during attacks is always nice. I dunno, I just always found that game to be smooth to play.
Day 11 - Gaming system of choice: PS2. Definitely.
Day 12 - A game everyone should play: Well, that depends. I mean if you enjoy beat-em ups I would say either God Hand or Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. If you like a game with a lot of blood and nerdy-ness play No More Heroes (the first one... the 2nd one to me was bad. ^^; ), Fighting game based that's a mixed bag - I do enjoy playing Street Fighter Third Strike and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Day 13 - A game you’ve played more than five times: I've done that a lot. For fighting games especially. Otherwise... No More Heroes, God Hand, and DMC 1, 3, 4. Sorry I can't stay awake sometimes in 2. ^^; Oh wait. for the Ace Attorney series, I've played Apollo Justice the most.
Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper: The last game wallpaper I remembered having was either of Solid Snake MGS2 or Dante DMC1. I can't remember. Right now mine is of Vash the Stampede (not a game character I know. He WOULD have been if that Trigun game went through. >_>
Day 15 - Post a screenshot from the game you’re playing right now:

Day 16 - Game with the best cut scenes: -thinks- That's a toughie... I think for me it'd be DMC4 for gorgeousness, but No More Heroes for it's weirdness and yet sometimes bad@$$ery.
Day 17 - Favorite antagonist: Bad Girl. She's my favorite boss in No More Heroes and yet she scares the crud out of me.
Day 18 - Favorite protagonist: -shrugs- Well, Dante obviously. Each game version I like overall for different reasons. That and I always love swords and guns, and the color red. XD
Day 19 - Picture of a game setting you wish you lived in: Ooh... some of the stages from Dead or Alive 4. I know I'm weird for saying that, but some of those places are gorgeous.
Day 20 - Favorite genre: Fighters. Although I love a good action game or puzzle games.
Day 21 - Game with the best story: -thinks- I would have to say the Metal Gear/Metal Gear Solid series. I just enjoy seeing how things piece together and yet at first it might confuse you. It's a huge story for a game overall, but when you see it all put together it makes sense gradually.
Day 22 - A game sequel which disappointed you: No More Heroes 2. I'm sorry - I know people like this game, but here's my thing. The game for me took out everything that made the first game awesome. The music was alright though, but the fact that the storyline gave me a headache and the boss fights were not at all memorable turned me off from the game big time. The only redeeming thing in my opinion was the music and the twin beam katana. Otherwise I was not pleased with this game. Plus training was reeeeally annoying. Trust me, I could go on for days and days about this one.
Day 23 - Game you think had the best graphics or art style: Graphics I would have to say Ninja Gaiden II for the 360. As for art style I would say Ghost Trick Phantom Detective.
Day 24 - Favorite classic game: Street Fighter II. XDD I played that to death.
Day 25 - A game you plan on playing: You mean like one I haven't played yet? Darksiders. I saw my brother played it and it looked awesome and fun to play.
Day 26 - Best voice acting: In English? I guess I would say No More Heroes. I dunno something about that stands out for me when I hear the voice work in that game. I think it's the emotions sometimes depicted.

ukent and I decided to give it a shot. Like him, I'm not going to be doing this day by day. I'm doing it all in one shot. Why? Because I don't talk about video games much and I thought I'd try. XD_____________________________
Day 1 - First video game you ever played: I think it was Duck Hunt for the NES.
Day 2 - Your favorite character: Dante
Day 3 - A game that is underrated: God Hand. I blame the fact that IGN was stupid to give the game a 3.0 which turned people off sometimes. Seriously, it's a great game.
Day 4 - Your guilty pleasure game: New International Track and Field. ...it's a hard game and yet I want to play it to unlock Solid Snake. ...not much success though. >>; And I guess Viewtiful Joe... I get frustrated with it and haven't beaten it yet, but playing as Dante is so much fun... even though when he's in a speedo it kinda scares me.
Day 5 - Game character you feel you are most like (or wish you were): Wow. Er... I'm not really sure about this one. I don't know if there' any character like me. I'm open for suggestions though.
Day 6 - Most annoying character: Ooh... Ema in Apollo Justice. I'm sorry, I just couldn't STAND her in that game. ^^;
Day 7 - Favorite game couple: -thinks- In DMC2 - Dante/Lucia. I know I'm not much for this game, but something about that pairing makes me happy.
Day 8 - Best soundtrack: No More Heroes. I love the songs used especially during boss fights.
Day 9 - Saddest game scene: Saddest? Death of Gray Fox in MGS1/Twin Snakes. I just felt bad for the guy and his death was pretty gruesome.
Day 10 - Best gameplay: DMC3. Mainly because of the stylish combos you can use depending on the style. I'm more of a sword type and swapping swords on the fly during attacks is always nice. I dunno, I just always found that game to be smooth to play.
Day 11 - Gaming system of choice: PS2. Definitely.
Day 12 - A game everyone should play: Well, that depends. I mean if you enjoy beat-em ups I would say either God Hand or Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. If you like a game with a lot of blood and nerdy-ness play No More Heroes (the first one... the 2nd one to me was bad. ^^; ), Fighting game based that's a mixed bag - I do enjoy playing Street Fighter Third Strike and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Day 13 - A game you’ve played more than five times: I've done that a lot. For fighting games especially. Otherwise... No More Heroes, God Hand, and DMC 1, 3, 4. Sorry I can't stay awake sometimes in 2. ^^; Oh wait. for the Ace Attorney series, I've played Apollo Justice the most.
Day 14 - Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper: The last game wallpaper I remembered having was either of Solid Snake MGS2 or Dante DMC1. I can't remember. Right now mine is of Vash the Stampede (not a game character I know. He WOULD have been if that Trigun game went through. >_>

Day 16 - Game with the best cut scenes: -thinks- That's a toughie... I think for me it'd be DMC4 for gorgeousness, but No More Heroes for it's weirdness and yet sometimes bad@$$ery.
Day 17 - Favorite antagonist: Bad Girl. She's my favorite boss in No More Heroes and yet she scares the crud out of me.
Day 18 - Favorite protagonist: -shrugs- Well, Dante obviously. Each game version I like overall for different reasons. That and I always love swords and guns, and the color red. XD
Day 19 - Picture of a game setting you wish you lived in: Ooh... some of the stages from Dead or Alive 4. I know I'm weird for saying that, but some of those places are gorgeous.
Day 20 - Favorite genre: Fighters. Although I love a good action game or puzzle games.
Day 21 - Game with the best story: -thinks- I would have to say the Metal Gear/Metal Gear Solid series. I just enjoy seeing how things piece together and yet at first it might confuse you. It's a huge story for a game overall, but when you see it all put together it makes sense gradually.
Day 22 - A game sequel which disappointed you: No More Heroes 2. I'm sorry - I know people like this game, but here's my thing. The game for me took out everything that made the first game awesome. The music was alright though, but the fact that the storyline gave me a headache and the boss fights were not at all memorable turned me off from the game big time. The only redeeming thing in my opinion was the music and the twin beam katana. Otherwise I was not pleased with this game. Plus training was reeeeally annoying. Trust me, I could go on for days and days about this one.
Day 23 - Game you think had the best graphics or art style: Graphics I would have to say Ninja Gaiden II for the 360. As for art style I would say Ghost Trick Phantom Detective.
Day 24 - Favorite classic game: Street Fighter II. XDD I played that to death.
Day 25 - A game you plan on playing: You mean like one I haven't played yet? Darksiders. I saw my brother played it and it looked awesome and fun to play.
Day 26 - Best voice acting: In English? I guess I would say No More Heroes. I dunno something about that stands out for me when I hear the voice work in that game. I think it's the emotions sometimes depicted.

Just thought I'd change my journal entry since it was rather... meh. It's just an issue I'm taking care of myself.
Anyways, how are you all doing?
I'm doing remotely well. I went to the doctors today and found out I lost 3 more pounds since my last visit. Huzzah!
I haven't done really any artwork lately due to lack of inspiration, but hopefully I'll break out of that soon. I just need to think of some things...
However, I have been working on sculpey charms lately~! So anyways I'll probably post any furry based ones on here especially.
Other than that, I'm BEYOND excited about going to Otakon this year and I'm pleasantly surprised that people want to actually meet me. It's seriously flattering~!
Hmm... I think that's about it for me. I'll likely post the sculpey charm I did for a friend of mine here. I feel bad for not posting it sooner here on FA.

That's right people. As of today, June 6th - I am officially 27 years old. XD
So how is my b-day going?
Not too bad, actually!
I got up this morning and my mom left me a Happy B-day post-it note on my comp which was nice. XD
Earlier though my parents bought me a strawberry shortcake as my b-day cake which is awesome because I looooove strawberry shortcake. I also got a Hoops & Yoyo card from them which is pretty cool. XD
Now my brother, he didn't wish me happy b-day yet, but I guess I can let it slide considering how he got me an Optimus Prime figure. -thumbs up-
I got tons of birthday luffles over on dA (my hands hurt from typing replies to everyone! XDD But so worth the love!) and I received WONDERFUL artwork from very talented people such as:

OMG.
I have seriously been spazzing like for a whole 30 minutes so far.
I went to view who the guests were at Otakon this year so far, and I kept telling myself that there's ONE guy I'd love to meet more than anything - moreso than my spazzing over Micheal Sinterniklaas.
And guess what?
-trying to contain herself but fails royally-
JOHNNY YONG BOSCH IS COMING TO OTAKON!
I've been fangirl spazzing for a good while because of this because I simply adore him! XD Granted that I always liked him being in the Power Rangers series, but my favorite thing he was involved with was Trigun.
Seriously, I haven't spazzed over anything so much in a LOOOOONG time.
So yeah, if you're going to Otakon, I will most definitely be at any panel he's involved in and at the Autograph session. So you should be able to see me there very easily.
I'm just so happy I have something to look forward to in a nerdy way. XD

General | Posted 14 years agoHeyas. Gaaaah I feel bad for not posting as much here, let alone what has been going on with my life lately here. So instead of copying my journal from dA, I'll put something different here.

So how is everyone?
I'm doing alright I suppose. Just a boring night really. Kind of lonely as well. -shrugs- I guess it's just depression or hormones kicking in. One of the two.
Lol. But I guess it could be worse.
I'm still kind of in a funk in the drawing department. Not much is inspiring me at the moment even though I seriously want to draw.
However, I have been messing around with sculpey lately and creating charms of random things/characters. It just seemed like fun.
Maybe I'll color one of my sketches from here... not sure. -ponders-
I seriously need to try RPing again one day. I kind of haven't done so in a really long time and that's how I usually got a pretty good amount of inspiration.
Other than that... not much else going on with me, sadly.
OH YEAH! June 6th is my b-day. Kind of a crummy day of the week it's on though... not sure if I'm going to have anything go on. If anything, I just know my b-day gift from my parents is money for Otakon 2011. Yays.
Well, feel free to comment here or whatever, I'll likely reply pretty quick since I'm not doing much anyways.

Hey guys, what's happening?
Not a whole lot with me, really. I've just been freaking out about some personal things with my life if anything else.
At any rate, I had such a "peachy" day. I was going to the doctors for a check-up and possibly set up for my next endoscopy which I am supposed to get every 5 years because of some crap with a bacteria I had in my system that made me severely ill.
Anyway, I go up with my mother, and I get to the front desk to let them know I was here. But something odd went on. I was like "...were they... not expecting me or something?" So they told me to sit down for now.
I sat and waited, then got called up again. And they asked me when and what time my appointment was. I'm like "...4:30 today." Then I had to sit again and wait.
Then I found out they were going to see me. My mother went up to discuss with them about the situation and when I was told I would be seen today I'm like "NO! Change my appointment now." And they did.
Now normally you would think I'd want to get the appointment over with, but considering how p*ssed off I was - my blood pressure was probably way up there. I was afraid I would snap at them. Which is why I'm glad I had my mother with me since she has a level head when it comes to stuff like this.
So yeah, I go back in November. ...while that may be a good thing, I was irritated to find out it's on the same week I go for a gynecological appointment. Screw you, karma!

So yeah, that's my story for the day about my experience trying to go to the doctors.
Ah well, I guess it could've been worse, but it would've been nice to have had my endoscopy appointment set up if I needed to do that.
Other than that.... not much else going on yet. I'm still making kanzashi yet and I'm hoping maybe to give some out to people who I know through dA, FA, or Gaia that I meet up with as presents.
I think tonight I'm going to relax a bit considering how I've been freaking out over so much lately.

First off - I've actually been feeling pretty damn good lately even though my time of the month is making me ill.
I gotta say though, a lot of good things have been going on lately!
First off, I'm planning on going out (maybe tomorrow) and get some fabric to continue projects I've been working on because it keeps my mind at ease. I WILL post pics on what I'm doing, but not for a while. XD
Secondly, jedinightwing, whom I've known for 5 years thanks to Gaiaonline.com has given me "The Transformers: The Best of Optimus Prime" book. The thing is I really wanted this book because it'd be a great art source. He went and found it for me at the comic store he works at and he didn't expect me to pay for it! He sent it to me! O_O Thank you so much~! You are a nerd boy after my own nerdy girl heart~! :heart:
More on Transformers, my brother got me an early birthday present (yeah I know - my b-day isn't until June 6th, but my bro and I have a tradition where we give each other a gift early) - and he gave me an Optimus Prime figure. Insanely awesome. It was a version from the Transformers Collectors Club - so that's neat! Another great art source for me. Plus, I've NEVER had any Transformers related stuff before that book I got and so this is my first figure ever of my own.

Also I've had fun testing out drawing online in a messenger program and it's been a blast. Maybe I'll post some doodles. They may not be as good as the stuff I sketch competently, but still - all in good fun. It helps break my shyness exterior.

Besides that... it's been nice weather here regardless of the constant tornado warnings we had a few days or so ago. Not fun at all.
Hmm... still job hunting, but at the same time I'm getting ready to open an etsy shop one of these days to give me some money in the meantime. Regardless, I want to WORK dang it!
So overall, it's been a calmer week for me.
I have been drawing, actually~! I'm creating another sketch dump and one other thing that'll likely be colored. It's going to be cute guys, don't worry. Otherwise the sketch dump is going to be spiffy once I pick out and create more sketches for it so people have more to look at.
Otherwise I haven't felt like doing computer stuff as much, but that's not a bad thing - I focus on other things. Really I use my comp to talk with friends during the evening and browse online for other stuff and then go to bed. Otherwise I leave my comp on to do virus scans as I do other things around the house.
I'm psyched about going to Otakon still, and with my b-day coming up in June - hopefully that'll be a blast. We shall see. That won't be for a good while yet.
Well, I think that's about it from me for now. Just felt like posting another entry since I've been in a really good mood lately.
...I'll likely sketch more and watch the HUB late night. I'll likely still be here so don't be surprised if I comment rather fast. xD
