I have 1 piece for a commissioner, and 2 for the winner of a YCH waiting, and I really want to give them their art asap, because they've already paid for it :/

I've got a job now, but I don't start until October, so the first payment I'll receive won't be until November.
I already won't be able to go to the con, because I spent my ticket money on school books, so please, please, please, can anyone help my get that 10 euros for the flash drive so I can at least continue my commission work and maybe be able to buy back my tickets and continue paying for school books.

I went a bit overboard with donating money to others while I thought I had more than enough money, but then my school books turned out to be much more expensive then I thought, and now I'm in a ditch myself :/

I know this isn't like an important medical bill, and I don't have a rent to pay, but still, I feel like I'm in a ditch right now, and I'll be stuck in it for at least another month.

Anyway, I've been working on all my stuff, but I can't upload anything since I have no way to transfer those images from my computer to the library computer. (I could take a picture of my screen with my camera maybe? Lol)
Uhm, so I have no idea when this is going to be fixed, but I'll have to make do with the library computer for now. I'll just use it to check in every once in a while.

Also! Visual novel commissions!

That's right, as you may or may not know, I've been working on a little testing visual novel, and I have to say, it's quite manageable. The most time crawls into getting the script to work tough. + The art, but for this test, I'm not spending a lot of effort into the art to save time :p

I'm still figuring out how to price them tough.
From cheapest to most expensive.
I was thinking of splitting it up in a linear story (where it's basically just a story with images, no choices)
a non linear story (where your choices do make a change and there's multiple endings)
and the simulator game (where you have to raise stats and events happen depending on your stats)

Another thing I want to do is adapt the price depending on how much -I- have to do.
Again, from cheapest to most expensive.
I only do the scripting; commissioner provides art and story (they can commission other people to do the art and story if they like)
I do the scripting + story OR art (again, commissioner is free to have art or story done by someone else)
I do scripting + story + art.

Price will go up depending on the amount of characters in the game. If art is done by me, all characters will have multiple expressions standard.

Commissioner do the following without extra charge
-can- pay a music artist to make music for the game or have their own made music in it
-can- pay or have friends do voice acting.

Commissioner -can- make anything they did themselves available as "downloadable content", and ask money for it. (for example, they can sell an album featuring all of the music -they- did for the game. If you paid someone else to make the music, it's between you and that artist whether you do this, and how you split the earnings. This is none of my concern)

-can not- sell copies of the game. The game it self must remain free at all times. You can choose to keep it for yourself and not share it with anyone, but you can never charge people to play it.

(I can put music in the game that you like, but keep in mind that you are -not- paying me for that. If you have royalty free music, that's even better :p)

Hey sweeties! Wanted to share this with you. The last 2 days, I've been working on this little visual novel.
This one is based in the ME universe (it's -completely- AU, and more for fun, and testing out how the scripting works etc)
I would like you guys to share your opinion. Please don't pay too much attention to the awkward art and use of the same base for the characters, this is currently purely to test out if everything works, and as of now, it's really short. The base game is explained and there's 3 characters you'll be able to meet. No backgrounds or anything yet.

If this works out well, I will be making a visual novel in the same game style, but featuring furries! Yey!
The idea is to open up auctions for a few people to have their characters in the game as love interests, friends, and extra characters etc. Extra characters will probably go at a flat rate, and I may put my friends in for free :)
Keep in mind that I will be asking money, because I do have to do all of the scripting, writing, and art all on my own, so that's what you would be paying for. The game itself will be free for everyone to download tough :)

All I want to know from you is the following;
Does the download work?
Can you unzip the files properly? (Just unzip it all into one folder for the game, nothing else needed)
Can you actually run the exe. ? (Should be located in the main folder you extracted. It's called TU 0.1)
Especially for mac users, since I can't test that myself.
Does it load? Do you hear the music and see the characters when the speak to you?
Are you experiencing any loops that misplaced? (Like you should be able to return to the choice menus, and you will be brought back to the beginning of the game if you say your given information was incorrect, so you can change it etc)
Does it actually run smoothly?
Upon startup, are you in fullscreen, and can you switch to windowed mode through the options menu? Does everything work properly in the options menu?
Does the song loop? It should.
Does the game end when you choose to go to sleep? This should happen too, since this is just the first day. In the future, sleeping will jump to the next day.

Think that's all I needed to know.

Below will follow the notes I made on the game;

Game starts in full screen by default, you can turn this off in the options on the start screen. You can also adjust the volume here, because there will be a song playing, and it may or may not be quite loud :p
The game does have a save mechanism. I don't know yet if you will be able to load your save in the next version.
There's no backgrounds/scenes yet, I still have to make all of those, and as you all know, I'm a lazy shit. You may have to wait for those for quite a bit. You should be happy there's already character art of everyone you get to speak with so far :p

General instructions; click with your mouse, type with your keyboard and enter with backspace :p That's all
In the beginning you will be asked your full Salarian name, in parts :p if you want to go with the default, just don't fill anything in, and the default will be used. You can choose to fill in certain parts and skip others if you like. You will also be asked an age, the current default is 16. I am using human years for ease sake. Yes that means the default character would be joining uni early, making them a genius :p

Please let me know if you are indeed able to download, and execute the file ^-^ (Especially mac users, since I don't have mac myself, I can test it out for you, sorry :/)
If you catch any bugs/misspelling, etc, let me know. Mouths should open when the characters are speaking, and close after their sentences (with the exception of smiling/angry expressions etc)

Some more info about the current project:
Day counter;
In the current release, only day 00 is available. More days will become available as I write more of the script :) The main point of what I have now is just to show you the basic game mechanics, and 3 of the characters. This way, you guys can help me out, should there be any problems/bugs/mishaps etc, and once those are out of the way, I will write a larger part of the script.

Point system/counters;
You do get points added and subtracted for each character's affection, according to your choices. These points will mainly determine your ending.
These points are also invisible at the moment.
You will also have attendance points, which start at 100, and you will lose them if you skip major classes, you can win attendance back by doing minor classes.
There's also a course credit counter, which will go up as you do classwork, assignments, etc. This will determine whether you pass the term or not. Different things will happen, according to whether you pass the term or not, and this will also affect the ending of certain characters.
I also have an intelligence counter, which will help you pass tests and assignments.

Love interests;
There will be 4 student love interests, and 3 teachers (oooh!)
I'm not going to give you the details, since it's more fun to find out yourself, but 3 students have a crush their respective teacher. Trying to get close to their crush, may anger them, so you will lose points for that student. The one student who isn't interested in a teacher, is interested in another student. 2 teachers will remain professional and stick with the student/teacher relationship at all times, however you are able to try to get close to them, and if they notice it's getting to close, they will confront you about it. The other teacher will accept closer relationships.
Your choices will determine how close you get to a certain character. The majority of the characters won't initiate the romantic relationship, you will have to do this your self, otherwise you will remain in the friend zone. The other characters may try to initiate the romantic relationship, and even be forceful, so be careful! Don't be too nice!

Extra characters;
There are no extra characters at the moment, but I will be accepting OC submissions. Keep in mind that this is an all male salarian school, so if you want your oc to be a student at the school, you will have to write them accordingly. Any other characters are welcome as well. Remember that this is a silly AU. You may submit a character that already exists and change them to fit in :p

Summary of personality traits: (Really short, remember your oc will only appear as an extra character, they won't be as detailed as the love interests :p)

Now at this point, there are no endings, since what I've written up until now is only day 00. After I've got some confirmation from people that things work smoothly for everyone, I will continue onwards ^-^

I've done this before on da, and it was so much fun, I really want to try it again!
