Creepy snoring
Posted 12 years agoOkay, so someone is snoring right now, and I can hear it in my room. That's how loud they are snoring. I think it might come from upstairs or something, but wth? If it's dad, I'm wondering how mom manages to sleep in the same room as him. That's just ridiculous. [Help requested]

I messed up the elastic a little bit tough, because I wanted to make sure it didn't fall off, so I made the elastic short, but now it's kind of hard to put on. Next time I make a petty I'll make sure to put a button or zipper for extra room. Problem is I'm hourglass, so my top and bottom are around 100 cm and then my waist is only 70 cm, so it gets kinda hard.
Anyway, the skirt fills up amazingly! Makes my skirts look huuuge! So happy with it! Way better than my other petty. only this one is a little bit on the long side, so I can't wear it will all of my skirts, but now I know this works well, I can make a shorter one too for the other skirts.
I will upload a picture later, because I feel lazy now XD. I will work on gift for Phiora later today! I tried yesterday, but my pc crashed during lining and I lost everything so I felt upset :/

Posted 12 years agoStarted 3 hours ago and now I have the base done, first layer of ruffle and the other three layers have been cut. Now I'm going to add these ruffles too ^-^. It is part of a bustled skirt, this will be bottom layer, but I'm keeping them as separate pieces so I can use the under skirt as petty ^-^
Edit: About 4 hours in now. I've got the second layer of ruffle done, but I think I might have miscalculated and might need more than 4 layers ö Also, slowly running out of thread. Should visit the fabric store tomorrow. Get thread and fabric, maybe additional lace >___>

Sell skirts? ö
Posted 12 years agoHey lovelies, I was wondering, since people seem to like my work, should I try selling custom skirts?
I was thinking I just ask for material cost and shipping cost. I know Lolita can be expensive, but not everyone can sew. I would like to make people happy by do the work for them + in the meanwhile I can improve skills. They can always leave tip or maybe do drawing for me if they like.
If I do work for others, I will definitely put more effort in and use better waistband. For me it doesn't matter if it has little mistakes, but for other people I do my very best.
I think I will just do skirts for now, because doing bodices is harder to make custom fit. I can make simple bodice with shirring in the back to allow different sizes to fit, but I don't think I am skilled enough to custom make them since I don't use patterns.
I can make accessories like head bands and cuffs and bows and such too tough. They not hard at all.
I think I will do schematic drawing of options so people can put together elements they like and then I will attach for them :)
