Hello all.

Today I bring you some very unfortunate news with a heavy heart.

Due to my declining physical health over a prolonged period paired with a new sickness I have not been able to make art nearly as fast as is needed to sustain myself any longer in the place I live. This is coupled with my housemate of 4 years also moving out due to their own health deteriorating. As a result I am moving back in with my parents despite my very best efforts to find an alternative. I am too weak to fend for myself in a whole new place.

My parents have certain ground rules for living with them once more, one of these included pursuing an entirely new career as it is clear that I am not getting anywhere with my current work. This was... soul crushing to say the least. I have been interested in and practicing art for 10 years now, working as a full time artist for just over 5 years. I put my all into making, learning and trying to grow as well as paying the bills I needed to pay. Sadly I was never able to quite make it or turn enough numbers to warrant charging enough money for the time I would spend on my art, often resulting in me working for well below minimum wage and taking mental health damage when the art was tricky and deadlines were present. This has taken a toll on the amount of time I have had to spend with others, friends both new and old, how much time and energy I've had to make gift art or little trashy doodles, memes and the stuff that I should be finding joy in. I'm sorry to say that at this point I'm constantly breaking down after trying and failing to do basic rough sketches for hours at a time only to have nothing to show for it.

With this massive life change happening I am officially announcing that I will be retiring as a full time artist. I tried guys, I'm sorry, I really did.

Commissions still in the queue will still be worked on but it may take me a while to get around to them. You should know by now that I always keep to my obligations.

My mother wants me to be contributing to their household and to be paying rent with immediate effect which is also going to be tough in my situation so I will be offering a few sketch comms each month to meet the amount they want from me (about £300 - £400), so about 6 - 8 single character sketches a month.

This isnt goodbye from me, I will still be around in the discord and trying to do my best where I can, I even want to continue doing art as a hobby but right now I'm at one of the lowest points in my life and I need time to recover and think things through.

So, some big news. I'M MOVING OUT! Finally! I'm escaping my abusive household.
What does this mean for you though? Well, my work on commissions has stopped for until I'm moved out and settled into my new place. Once I'm there I'll also have to wait a while for my internet to be set up. During the time I'll be largely unavalible to talk to but will be working hard get art done and ready to be posted when I'm back up and running. In addition to this, I'm gonna be a lot more happy and FREE to actually draw so the quality is gonna ramp up quickly, as well as getting art out quicker!

I cannot wait!
