General | Posted 11 years agoSo yeah, finally made it to my 4yr degree graduation. Well in about a month but hey close enough for me. Ill be certified to do clinical lab work and a graduate in molecular genetic technology. It wasnt as i planned years ago but hey i made it. So, as of now i have one offer that i have accepted(job i wanted since the start of school) but waiting on others to see if they have more money to offer. Most are in Texas but there is a few out of state that id like to hear. The past few years ive been in school, and working. Nothing really big has happened. That is if you dont count the conventions. I dont really have much to share but i suppose after all this ill have more time to do what id like to do. Maybe i can make a trip out of the US or more conventions. In all im happy with how things turned out, school has been a big confidence booster and has kept me busy. Anyways i suck at these updates but hey i dont have much to share.

TFF 2013 Recap
General | Posted 13 years agoThings to leave didnt go exactly as planned but i made the best of it.
Friday morning i throw everything into the car and go to school about 2 hours early to finish a lab. I finish my lab and angry that i got no DNA bands i cleaned up and went off to TFF. I get there get my badge and room. I had a room all to myself and it was a new experience. Over all friday was hanging out with friends and a great dinner with friends. After the dinner it was some drinking and a game of cards against humanity, great fun but i went to bed(2amish) since i was up since 4am.
Saturday I get up earlyish and get some breakfast with friends. Turns to be a great time with a joke that started and quickly took off. This day i do the fursuit games and the fursuit parade. After it is just a dinner with my sister and her bf and another night of hanging out.
sunday gets around and i get packed up and ready to go, I hang out and i end up buying one badge which i usually do just about every con.
Overall friends made this con one of my most memorable cons.

Happy New Year and on to 2013
General | Posted 13 years agoWell we are still here, The mayans were wrong or as some report, the avengers saved us this year. Once again family and friends were so great to me with their support.
Work has been stressful but rewarding. I am doing experiments that could land me as an author on a paper. I really do hope this keeps up in the next year as a paper will give me a good edge in internships and looking at jobs. Me and a co-worker have become really good friends and she helps me troubleshoot things. She keeps lab interesting as i do the same.
Personal stuff, It had its up and downs as life usually does but as usual, my trip to RF with
wula, 
berymuch, and 
gracewolf was great as always.
School: I start my second of 4 semesters at the cancer center im studying at. Much of my time is spent there or at my job. As the semester went on, i was burning out but finally the semester came to and end. A few days i just got home ate dinner and fell asleep. I got my rest and ready for the next semester.
As this year closes everyone have a fun and safe time at your parties and have a great 2013. I have my direction for 2013 and plan to make it a good year.

I got to actually see Seattle and be mesmerized by the pikes market there. I dont usually write too much about my conventions, i guess i tell the stories that happened in person. :P Most likely See yall next year RF

Me and are staying at the omni hotel june 13-18
there are some basic rules here is the info.
- Room will be at the Omni Hotel
- Room booked Wednesday, June 13 - Monday, June 18
- Payment will be requested upfront (can be full or half), no later than june 9 before AC
- Payment will be considered NON REFUNDABLE the Saturday before AC (June 9, 2012)*
- NO drugs/use of illegal substances, NO sex in the room, NO random people/friends in the room without permission and absolutely NO drama will be tolerated (alcohol will be allowed in moderation)
I know the rules sound like a stickler kind of thing but that is so that we do not face any unplanned financial hardships. I think many would agree that last minute cancellations can be a big inconvenience for the room holder. We sorta want the room to be a place to relax at, away from the loud chaotic noise that the convention has.

Moving/update
General | Posted 14 years agoSo i said i wouldnt be here much but im moving and will have plenty of room now. So is reach out to ask, if anyone is willing to part with or sell medical/graduate texbooks, references, or fairly new journals like cell, nature, or science it would be awesome. I ask because new is expensive and used are a little cheaper and i dont mind wear and tear. With me at my dream school i decided to go after my original dream to get my md.
