His name is Mr. Grey. I'm sorely tempted to call him Dorian, but, Mr. Grey will do for now.
He is the sweetest cat I have ever met in my entire life. He will start purring if you just hold your hand over him without petting him. He's just happy to have people around him that will love him and pet him. He's been abandoned by his original owner, and his second owner would leave him locked in his house for days with no food or water. So my grandma adopted him, and now he'll be adopted by myself!

ANYWAYS MY POINT HERE:
Mr. Grey has suffered a compound fracture to his left front paw, and, since it is a really, really bad break, my veterinarian has suggested that we amputate it up to the elbow.

While he will have a cute nub that I can put a peg leg on for Halloween, he will have quite a chunk of change for a bill.
Total cost for the entire amputation will be about $650, give or take. We haven't received the bill yet, but they estimated it close to that.

BUT I DIGRESS
She created this freaking flawless art for myself and my mate ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13573678/ ) which, now that we're done freaking out over how pretty it is, we want made in to a tapestry for whenever we get a place together. So I figured that I'd be the one to make said tapestry, being crafty and enjoying that kind of thing.

Little did I know how massive this tapestry is going to be.
35 x 60 inches doesn't really seem all that large at first, but laying out the fabric I'll be embroidering... Wow. I was not sufficiently prepared for how large this thing will end up being. Damn.
Anyways.
My point being.
I'll be working on this thing for a long while. Because it'll be hand embroidered. All of it.
So I will not be open for commissions at all during this time, as I'd like to focus solely on this... monster.
But, deciding this also lead me to wonder.
Would any of you be interested in having your own artwork (or art that someone else made for you (given permission to do so, of course)) made in to a tapestry of sorts? I'd have different sizes than this one, obviously, but, just out of curiosity, would anyone want something like that? Firstly, I am still working on stuff, as I have shown through the mass submissions I made the other day.

Secondly. I got a job! Today! :DDD
I am quite ecstatic, though this does mean my commissions will slow down a bit since it is a full time job (for now. Its actually seasonal) ish. I don't know my hours or schedule as of yet, but I know it will get crazy hectic near the week of halloween. That's the crazy week.

I finally tracked down a computones disc after much searching. So once I get the proper program for it, I can offer computone images in my commissions~ I am quite excited about this as well, since I loved using the tones back when I got my first disc (before it was lost in this house somewhere.. ).

BUT I REALLY LIKE MAKING MANGA PAGES FOR SOME REASON.
Im hoping ill be able to replace a computones book/disc I lost somewhere, because I love using the texture from manga pages on black and white art.

Would anyone actually be interested in reading a one shot manga? What should I make it about? I'm sure I could write a serious one or something, but humor just sounds really fun. I'd make it in english so people could read it though.

Just wanted to let my commissioners know what was going on since I haven't updated in a while / posted a journal or anything.
I'm working on a mural currently for some extra cash, so I'm not really in my house as of late. And when I am home, or am not painting anymore, I just want to sleep or zone out on the tv because being in the room that I am painting drains me so much (there's no AC in the room, and I'm up near a ceiling on a ladder, which is not any help).
It's a bad excuse I know, but I'd rather tell everyone what's going on than not tell people anything.

I'm also knitting furiously once again, so I'm debating on selling some nice Harry Potter themed scarves for potter nerds like myself.
(Though it would be much more fun for people to take the test and figure out what house they are in, then send me a screencap so I can make whatever house scarves for them. That would be fun. Plus I'd get to see what house everyone is innnn~)

Seriously, I think I need a new pillow, because the area between my shoulder blades and up my spine to my neck is KILLING me.
I'm using one of those memory foam pillows, is this common with them?

Yeah.
I'm having a sale on all of my digital pieces right now.

Why a sale?
Because my car was broken in to and I need to replace the window on my car and the box of prismacolor pencils and the set of copic multiliner pens that were stolen from it.

There were other things stolen, and I'll totally write out in explicit detail everything if you want me to because you're dying of curiosity about it, but, those are the only things I'm really concerned about getting replaced right now, because A) I need a window on my car. Duh. And B) My prismacolors and pens were not only a very well loved and well used christmas gift from my parents a few years back, but I also need them to work on my traditional artwork.

The pencils are going to cost me about $85.00
The pens are going to cost about $60.00
And I have to talk to my insurance company about the window. Hopefully I won't have to pay too much to get it fixed, so I'll figure out how much that will cost and will update this journal once I know.
But right now, looking about at $145.00, without the window.

[WINDOW UPDATE - 6/27] --- So I have a new window now, which cost me $100. The insurance claim did not pay for all of it unfortunately, but, it's an insurance company, so I was kind of expecting to have to pay something.
As much as I did not want to.
And as far as the insurance paying for the stolen property, they didn't. The items weren't worth enough for them to pay for them, so I am having to replace everything out of pocket. (I had to lose like, over $3000 worth of property for them to replace anything?)
So I'll be having this sale for a while longer.

I think it's because of all of the big scary words and difficult to understand instructions that they send with it.
