I Feel Scared
Posted 3 months agoAfter hearing about a law that was recently passed in the UK, I feel worried about this current era the internet with all these major corporations, governments, and oligarchs taking control of it. I'm also afraid of what may come in the near future with the rise of artificial intelligence, censorship, and surveillance, all for the sake of "protecting the children". What would happen to me if I speak out against the techno-fascist regime? Do people even care about net neutrality anymore? What was net neutrality anyway?
I guess you're right. I shouldn't be paying so much attention to the news. I don't want to be listening to those drama and commentary slop channels whenever I'm drawing my pictures. Whatever they talk about makes me feel so disappointed in myself for living in this world. I want to focus on something else.
I'm Tired of Using FireAlpaca
Posted 3 months agoI'm getting tired of using FireAlpaca for drawing on my computer. I'm using it with my Wacom Intuos tablet and it keeps glitching out on me every few minutes. It won't register some of my pen strokes. Maybe I should try getting used to drawing with Krita or something.
By the way, the operating system that I'm currently using is Windows 10 and I have no plans to upgrade to Windows 11 anytime soon.
I Hate Video Game Movies, But...
Posted 3 months agoHonestly, the only reasons why I liked the Rampage movie starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson was because I thought that George in that movie looked kind of like a live-action Crumbo, and the fact that the director of the movie was born in Newfoundland like myself. I was disappointed in that movie because I expected it to be more like Pacific Rim for some reason, as in the three monsters team up to fight some alien invaders or something, instead of just fighting each other.
I Love Bigfoot
Posted 4 months agoI must confess that ever since I was a young child with a vivid imagination, I loved daydreaming about going out to the woods and meeting Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, or whatever you like to call him. I loved the wild ape so much that I didn't care if he was real or make-believe. I don't even care that some of the pictures and videos of him that I see on the internet these days are made with the latest in state of the art AI technology. My interpretation of the creature is that he is a wild ape that stands at around 6-10 feet tall, who looks like a mix between an orangutan, a gorilla, and a chimpanzee, but he could stand upright like a human and he has a furry body and a scent like a grizzly bear. To be honest with you, I'm not a big fan of movies and shows that depict Bigfoot/Yeti as looking way too much like a human, but I'm OK with him looking much closer to an early human ancestor from prehistoric times.
Hi There.
Posted 4 months agoHey there. How's it going? I wish I could try to reunite with some of my old friends that I haven't spoken to in so long. I wonder how they've been doing these days. Maybe we could talk to each other once again.
So anyway, since I'm bored, I'm trying to go back to watching and faving, but I'm kind of skeptical about it. Some of the good artists have blocked me in the past, and for good reason. I was very a dramatic, obnoxious person when I was in my late teens and twenties, and there are a lot of things I did back then that I still regret to this day, like saying slurs and openly criticizing political movements, for example.
Goodbye, BlueSky
Posted 4 months agoI decided to get rid of my BlueSky account the other night. That website reeks of performative activism, cancel culture, and political derangement syndrome. I can't handle it anymore. I think it may have become the new Twitter/X or something. I thought I was stupid when interacting with some of the people there.
I don't want to waste anymore of my time doom scrolling through posts uploaded by miserable people talking about the current state of the world. I'd rather be spending my time either working on my art, listening to music, or chatting with one of my online friends on Discord.
I Still Love Crumbo, But...
Posted 4 months agoI love Crumbo, but I want to create a new friend for him. He will be a Bigfoot/Yeti ape just like him, but his fur will be brown. He will also have a unique name. I don't want to be drawing the same old yeti over and over again.
Perhaps I should draw reference sheets for my characters, including my newest Bigfoot/Yeti characters. I think that's a good idea.
Hello.
Posted 4 months agoHi there. How are you doing today? Just wondering if any of my friends is OK. I'm feeling anxious and depressed right now and I'm in the mood to talk to someone about some of the things that have been bothering me a bit lately, and there are at least a couple of things that I don't want to talk about publicly. Maybe you could send me a note or a DM asking me what's up.
I Was Thinking About This Movie Lately
Posted 4 months agoHow many of you guys remember Disney's Aladdin? I haven't watched that movie in a while and I was thinking about it recently. I'm a little embarrassed to say this in today's political climate, but it's one of my favorite movies of all time, and I love it so much that unlike a lot of people these days, including that one weird guy on YouTube who likes to talk about communism in his other videos, I wouldn't call it "racist". Just controversial because it featured a bit of dated, stereotypical humor that might have offended or upset some people back in the day. Hence, why they changed that song lyric in the beginning. But even in spite of its controversies, I'm glad that it introduced a whole new generation of people to South Asian and Middle Eastern culture. I even enjoyed the TV show and one of the direct-to-video sequels and I remember seeing a friend playing the video game on his Sega at one point in the 90s. I would love to see the Broadway musical one day if I ever had the chance to. And yes, I despised the live-action remake when it came out, even though I know it tried to right a few wrongs of the original movie.
Chokey and Cruncher
Posted 5 months agoAfter having another vivid dream last night about watching some scenes from an animated movie on a VHS tape that I found somewhere in the basement, I'm thinking about bringing back Chokey the Python and Cruncher the Crocodile. I know a lot of people loved my old pictures of those two guys.
Something Else That I Regret
Posted 5 months agoHere is another regret that I have. There was a time, around the height of the pandemic, when I would go on YouTube and listen to videos from what I assumed were right-wing reactionary commentators, whether they would be ranting about gender pronouns in a video game or a "strong female lead" character in a franchise movie. These people, some of who were named Jeremy, would obsess over how much they hated Ghostbusters 2016, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, or the latest Disney live-action remake. I hate those movies, too, but those people would take their hatred way too far. I'm sure that some of them have bullied or harassed actors and screenwriters for doing their job. I know that one of them was milking the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard lawsuit by making hundreds of videos about it.
I'm done paying attention to those commentary channels. I no longer agree with what they have to say about the latest movie, TV show, video game, or comic book. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that Hollywood has already been "woke" several decades before this whole culture war was even a thing.
Honestly, I only played those videos because I wanted something to listen to as background noise when drawing pictures of Crumbo the yeti and some of his wild animal friends. I was recommended some of those YouTube channels who talked about movies by someone who I interacted with on this website back in late 2019. But now, I want to avoid videos from Clownfish TV or any of those other commentary channels. In fact, I wish to avoid listening to drama politics altogether. I'd rather have something else playing in the background like a compilation of 90s Eurodance music or some techno and bubblegum dance songs from the late 90s and early 2000s. Or maybe I could listen to a channel that talks about subjects that I find interesting like lost media and other nostalgic things.
One Thing I Regret
Posted 5 months agoThere are so many things in life that I regret and one of them is spending my early days on the internet as a logo kid. I've moved on from that toxic community and I'm glad not to be a part of it anymore. I have other things to be interested in, like C.L.Y.D.E. and talking Christmas trees, for example.
You know what I think is weird? Those people accuse me of being a "fetish person", but they like to fetishize scenes of little kids crying from their favorite cartoons and pre-school shows.
Talking About 2025 Movies
Posted 5 months agoThere was a time, not too long ago, when I enjoyed going out to a theatre to see one of the latest movies on the big screen, with a large bag of popcorn, a soda cup, and some M&M's or Reese's Pieces by my side. I still want to go see another movie on the big screen one day, maybe in one of those theatres with big, fancy push button recliner seats. But a lot of what Hollywood has been releasing to theatres in the past few years isn't really capturing my attention.
The only movie I watched in the theatre this year so far is The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie because I wanted to support the creative talents who worked so hard on that movie. I'm not interested in watching a Disney live-action remake or a video game adaptation. I wanted to give the Lilo and Stitch remake a chance until I found out what they did to Jumba and Pleakley, who were two of my favorite characters from the animated movie. I have mixed feelings about the How to Train Your Dragon remake. I could give The Bad Guys 2 a chance, but I'm not sure about Zootopia 2 because of my feelings towards the Disney brand name and my disappointment with the first Zootopia movie for having no representation of bats, which were my favorite animal at the time it came out. I could try the new Jurassic World, even though I was disappointed with the previous movie. And I could try watching the new Superman movie, even though I'm not a big superhero movie type of guy.
I don't know what other movies are coming out this year. Maybe it's because I haven't paid much attention to that sort of thing.
I Want to Be a Furry
Posted 6 months agoMaybe it's time for me to come out as a furry. After all, I enjoy the furry fandom with its colorful characters and such. Perhaps Crumbo the yeti could be my fursona, since you know I like to draw him quite a lot.
I Wish I Could Be a Furry
Posted 6 months agoI honestly wish that it was safe for me to say that I'm a furry. I like furries, but I'm not sure if I want to identify as one. I mean, the ones I met were mostly nice people, but it's no secret that the community has a bad reputation on the internet because of certain people who have done bad things to real animals. And it seems that the fandom has been the butt of all jokes for a very, very long time. Would terrible things happen to me if I come out as a furry?
By the way, I'm feeling bored and lonely. I wish I could try joining another Discord server or something, just to make some new friends within the furry fandom and lost media community. If you want to interact with me on Discord, my username there is nixwerld2000. Or if you don't like Discord, then maybe we could chat on Telegram. I would be happy to join another chat forum or something.
We Have to Talk About This
Posted 7 months agoA disgusting person just sent me a couple of rude comments on DeviantArt. I know it's them because they left a comment on my status update their debunking my involvement in a right-wing grifter channel called "What About". I checked the activity of that person, and it turns out that they are a sick, disgusting, pervert who likes to look at pictures of children who are as young as babies and toddlers with dirty diapers. People like them are absolutely disgusting and need to be reported, or better yet, thrown in prison along with other sexual offenders.
No Longer Using Photoshop
Posted 7 months agoI should've posted this here a few days ago, but here it is.
I had to ditch Photoshop recently because I got sick and tired for paying outrageous prices for Adobe products, so I switched to Photopea. I think that's what I'm going to use from now on or until someone else suggests some other program that I could use.
Hi There, I Have a Question For You.
Posted 7 months agoIs it OK if I draw Crumbo playing with mud or dirt? Or maybe throwing it at someone or something that he doesn't like? I'm just asking because that's a picture that I really want to draw so badly.
I Wish I Could Go to Florida Once Again, But...
Posted 7 months agoI keep having these dreams in my sleep about going to Florida for vacation. I'm not sure why that is. I mean, I really enjoyed the trips that I had there in the past, including my first trip to Walt Disney World in the year 2000, and I would like to travel to the USA again someday. I especially like Florida because of its warm climate, restaurants, theme parks, tourist traps, and alligators.
There are still a lot of things that I still like about America, like 50s diners, rock 'n roll, Coca-Cola, and megaplex movie theatres. But right now, I'm choosing to stay in Canada for the time being because of things that are going on in this world right now. Florida, especially, isn't getting a good reputation because of... well, you know.
My Bad Habit
Posted 7 months agoDidn't I mention that I have a bad habit of talking about politics? As a matter of fact, I tend to criticize the United States, under one of the most hated men in the world right now, and my home country Canada, and its curent trend of blind patriotism. I also tend to talk about both countries and their complicated history in regards to race relations and how they mistreated their indigenous people and things like that. Canada is not the magical fairy tale land of diversity, tolerance, inclusion, acceptance, and "free health care" that a lot of people think it is.
I Won't Travel to the USA for a While
Posted 7 months agoNo offense to my American friends, but the USA is a dead country to me. I've seen it decline over the past 10 years and unfortunately, due to that president of yours making threats to his trading partners, millions of us are refusing to set foot on American soil and would rather travel to places like Canada or Europe. Heck, what they have in cities like Dubai and Singapore right now would put Las Vegas to shame.
I'm staying in Canada for the time being, and I don't have any plans to leave my country in the foreseeable future.
Angry
Posted 7 months agoThat's it! I'm done! I absolutely had enough of this political drama and bullshit! It has made me extremely furious and it has gotten to a point where I no longer have trust in anyone!
Screw the USA! Screw Canada! And Screw the Imperialist West!
What's Up?
Posted 7 months agoI'm not feeling the greatest these days. I'm not getting much sleep at night because I've been paying way too much attention to politics and current events.
If you want to talk about it, then feel free to send me a message on Discord or Telegram or something. I'll be happy to talk to someone.
