Hi, I updated my Terms of Service for 2023 :)

Please, before requesting your commission, read carefully all the following indications:

Commission Inquiry


-Customer must contact the artist through FurAffinity’s Note system or Discord () in order to request a commission.

-Commission inquiries will only be attended through the time lapse the artist stablished when the announcement of commissions was posted, or until the artist announces that all the commission slots are completely taken.

-Every commission inquiry must contain the following:

-A non-ambiguous, proper English written detailed description of the idea/setting. The artist takes the right to refuse any ideas if they turn out to be uncomfortable for them.
-A list of the characters involved along with their most recent Reference Sheet available. If a certain character has been modified recently but there’s not an updated Reference Sheet to the moment the
commission is requested, the customer must clarify such changes and provide artworks for reference.
If the commission includes a character that is not property of the customer requesting it, a proof must be provided that clarifies the customer has permission of the owner of such character to be used in
the artwork
-References for the clothing and accessories of the characters (in case the commission requires it).
-References for the location in which the artwork would take place. If the customer is not able to find such references, a detailed description of the place must be provided.
-Dialogues for each of the characters (in case the commission requires it).
-A list of the desired alternates/variants of the artwork (in case the commission requires it).
-Desired public display on the queue, whether the customer prefers to stay anonymous or use their FA’s username.
-PayPal address for the further Invoice.

Customer must take note that the omission of the previous listed requirements for references on their commission inquiry, means that the artist will take it as a total freedom of choosing whatever is the most appropriate for the idea/setting. Such decisions cannot be changed once the Lineart Stage has started.

-Customers will receive the final price of their commission once it’s approved by the artist.

Process

-Once the customer’s commission is approved, it will be added to the public queue on the artist’s Journal on FA. Commissions are added to the queue in order of arrival through the time commissions are stated as ‘Open’ on the artist’s FA userpage.

-Customer will be notified when their turn of the commission has arrived through FA’s note system or Discord, further WIP’s will be sent from there.

-Each WIP will include a WaterMark in order to avoid stealing/scamming.

-The customer will be able to view and check 4 different WIP stages of their commission. From start to finish:
1. -Sketch
2. -Lineart
3. -Flat Colors
4. -Full Colored

-In each stage, the customer will be able to modify everything they think it’s necessary to fit their likings. There’s no limit on the changes the customer can ask for.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Although there’s no limit of the changes the customer can ask for, they can be only done before proceeding to the next stage. For example, the artist will not be able to change or modify Lineart once it has been previously approved by the customer and consequently proceeded with the Flat Colors stage.

-In case the customer finds the modification extremely necessary, the artist can do up to three modifications. However, each one of them are penalized and will increase the overall price of the commission. The penalization fee will be notified to the customer before proceeding with the artwork’s adjustments for their approval.

-The previous statements regarding modifications are not applied when the artist has committed a mistake, such as omission of details, wrong colors/patterns, etcetera. In such cases, adjustments and modifications will be done without restrictions nor penalizations.

-If the customer decides to cancel the commission at any time, the progress will be used to make a YCH sale (Your Caracter Here) in order to recover the amount due by other means. Customer’s relations with the commission will be completely erased and they will not be able to claim any of the rights of the WIP’s done through the process, this involves ideas, poses, scenarios, etcetera.

-The artist takes the right to cancel your commission at any time if the communication is not proficient enough with the customer, if the customer is hostile or rude, or if the customer is insistent on making changes after the limit of three penalized modifications is reached.

Payment

-Once the commission is completely done and approved by the customer, they will receive an Invoice through the PayPal address provided on the inquiry with the total amount to be paid.

-Payment must be completely done in the next 24 hours after the invoice has been received by the customer. If the customer does not pay the invoice, their commission will be taken as cancelled and consequently be offered as YCH sales (Your Character Here) in order to recover the amount due by other means. Customer’s relations with the commission will be completely erased and they will not be able to claim any of the rights of the WIP’s done through the process, this involves ideas, poses, scenarios, etcetera.

-Sometimes commissions can become very expensive for the customer, if the customer is in need to make the payment in two or three installments, they need to let the artist know on their commission inquiry. It must state the exact dates the customer would pay each of the installments, this will require the artist to approve them before accepting their commission.
If the customer does not pay the installments when accorded, their commission will be taken as cancelled and consequently be offered as YCH sales (Your Character Here) in order to recover the amount due by other means. Customer’s relations with the commission will be completely erased and they will not be able to claim any of the rights of the WIP’s done through the process, this involves ideas, poses, scenarios, etcetera.

-All payments must be done in US Dollars.

-Customers are not allowed to negotiate or bargain the final price of the commission.

-Payment from different accounts is not allowed. If the commission involves other customers that agreed to be involved in the artwork and pay their respective amount of the total cost, all the payment must come from the customer that asked for the commission.

-Once the commission has been paid, refunds will not be done.
Posting and Credits.

-Once the customer receives the completed commission, they will be able to upload it to any of their websites of choice, as long as each post provides a link to the artist’s FA or Twitter, giving them credits for the art.

-If the commission involves someone else, they can upload the commission as well, following the credits condition previously stated.

-The artist will upload the commission to their FA’s gallery and/or Twitter account, the post will contain the credits to the owner of each character involved in the artwork. Except if the customer desires to remain anonymous.

-The artist takes the right to not upload the commission to their FA’s gallery or Twitter account.

Finally

-In order to identify that the customer has read, understood, and agreed with all the previous statements, customer will need to include the next phrase at the very beginning of their commission inquiry: - “I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.”-. Otherwise, such commission inquiry will not be taken into consideration.

-If the customer has any other question about matters that were not covered in these terms of service, they will need to ask the artist through FA’s note system or Discord. Same applies if one of the previous statements are not clear at all for them and they seek for clarification.

You can check your turn and I will be updating it everytime I finish a commission, everytime a commission is cancelled or moved, and everytime another commission adds to the list ^^
