hey so this month might be kind of rough. i had a. rough start. psychotic episodes are not fun, they are even less fun when the EMT is convinced you're on PCP or acid or something, and even less fun still when they refuse to call you by your name and make you do trans 101 in the ambulence when you're not even sure what reality you're in.

so i'm still sorta. reeling and recovering a little. for people who have my personal contact info (or telegram) i ask you to please gimme some space. if i feel like talking i'll reach out, but too much interaction feels kind of overstimulating and is messing with my head.

doctors are informed, therapists are informed, insurance covers this etc. honestly im only out right now because when i went in the hospital had no beds to observe overnight. american health care is fun on a bun.

please help my friend’s family out. his little brother zak died this week and they’re trying to get the money together for burial and services. jay (zak’s brother) has been a friend of mine since highschool so this is a very close-to-home death.

zak was doing everything right on the road to recovery. i could explain at length how recovery isn’t a straight line, how at around 3 months out of rehab the ‘honeymoon’ is over and relapses happen. i could explain how after recovery your body isn’t prepared to handle the same level of toxins , and so relapses after 3 months are very often fatal. but i don’t want to, because zak’s actions don’t need defending. he did everything right in trying to recover.

so if you could please help his family get the closure they need and get zak the burial he deserves, that would mean a lot. their fundraiser doesn’t even include a tombstone at this point. please, spread this and help out.

ok so hey. i haven’t had any new patron signups since 2016, and i lost quite a few following brexit and the nov us election as we all sort of panicked trying to keep our heads on straight. so i’m really pushin this again.

i am a trans man w a chronic shoulder injury that causes me pain on a near daily basis & a good ol mix of depression and ptsd, and art really is the One Job i can do comfortably these days. i may not be able to do it with the speed of my (pain free) youth, but please. if you talk the talk about supporting broke trans creators or creators with MI, please walk the walk and help me out. even with a small amount. a dollar a month may seem like nothing to you, but it’s something significant to me. it’s 12$ more per year. that’s two bags of heating pellets in winter. in new england. that’s a big difference.

while we can probably (big probably) handle wood pellet costs ourselves, we use heating assistance to buy oil which runs our boiler. in other words: im lookin at a winter with no hot water.

also sometimes theres a shortage of heating pellets & they get rationed, and in those cases we Have to run the old steam heat system. this also runs off oil.

also no hot water means there is a much higher risk of pipes freezing. but hey, that extra 2000$ we made in 2015 is surely still in our bank accounts and surely can pay for any damages from pipes freezing and bursting right h a h a

okay folks, this has been a long time coming but should shock no one.

the majority of my art isn't uploaded on FA, at current.


this is ENTIRELY because FA's too slow. listen, i'll use a bad website. but it better be fast. i already spend an hour out of every week *just* posting the comic to various sites, and the idea of spending more time waiting on FA to input the same dang data every time is just agonizing.

if you want to stay up to date on my art you really ought to be suffering through tumblr or, at least, have a furry network account. both of these allow me to mass-upload and save me a TON of time.

time that i can then spend working on more art. which is exactly why i dislike wasting time individually updating 35 fa entries any time i log in.

i'll paste all this into an image entry as well, because another fault with FA is that no one reads journals, even if they contain important information.
