Over the lifetime of this account, the vast majority of my uploads have been hand drawn sketches that are then used as a template to color digitally. While I have made improvements in this process over time, it is considerably slow, has a lot of limitations, and doesn't come out in a way that I find personally satisfying all the time.

For this reason, I want to be more deliberate about the pencil-and-paper side of things. I plan to put more focus on making things I think look nice regardless of any background or overarching story, whether it be my own characters or one-offs. I don't think I'll entirely stop doing digital work, but it will probably be something I ease into if at all.

I've also enjoyed getting my feet wet with writing here and there, so expect some of that mixed in. Hopefully, this adjustment will help to revive my profile a bit.

So...

It's been a minute since I first began this profile. To make a long story short, I don't love everything I've ever done in all that time. Young me had a lot going on inside his head that managed to vomit its way out here. There's very little order or organization to the workings of whatever universe I've managed to create here, and not everything I put out there gets used very often. To be perfectly honest, I never even 100% finished on one of the primary reasons I came here in the first place. My multiple absences are a reflection of the fact that I lost any sort of meaningful direction to what I draw and upload.

Going forward, I want to start making changes that'll make me enjoy what I do more. Part of the reason for the large gaps in postings is due to the above. There may be more focus on the storytelling/worldbuilding piece, as well as updating characters to make them less one-dimensional. I also might do visual updates to their appearances. Understanding that my art isn't really much to write home about, it's certainly improved from where it used to be, enough to evolve from plain looking characters with minor defining details.

Doing more writing is a strong maybe. If it does happen, I'll certainly be taking my time more (taking my time in general is an improvement I need to make). As of right now, the majority of my writing is first pass, no revisions. It's not very nice, in my opinion.

If anyone has any input, I'd be glad to hear it. The bottom line is, I want to be more regular here, and that right now means doing things differently.

I really want to get that two-year-old journal off my page.

I lurk pretty heavily here without posting or doing much of anything, but maybe in the future that might change. Maybe not. Who knows?

It's finally come after a few years of hanging around this place. I have to say I've rather enjoyed my day. For once, it's been on a weekend, and what better time than for such a milestone birthday.

By the way, I was taking a look at the activity filter settings. It will let me change them (the "SFW" icon appears in the top left) but I can't view anything any different than normal. I tried giving the site a bit of time to catch on to what day it was, but I don't understand why this is happening.

This account was linked to an email that had gotten deactivated. That meant with the attacks going on and the password resets, I had to go get it reactivated. That somehow messed up things where the new password emails would not be received, and I've only today been able to get a manual reset.

I've had to wade through quite a few notifications, but I am now most definitely back.

Man I need to update these things more often.

Anyways, I'm a bit behind in transferring uploads from my dA profile. I'll get on those at some point. Other than that, my pool of inspiration is pretty dried up at the moment. Maybe I'll come up with something fun/interesting to do. Maybe not.

It's not quite the New Year yet where I live, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year anyway. Thanks to all my watchers and anyone else who's done something nice to/for me for making this a fantastic year. I'm not planning on submitting today besides my art summary for the year, but, like always, if anyone has any suggestions for me at any time, feel free to let me know.

Speaking of that, you guys have got to get on me about stuff I've been procrastinating on. Namely finishing creating all the Purities (4 more to go), doing Shep's third dare FINALLY, and using all the adopts I spent so many points on. Don't be afraid to give me a slightly-less-than-gentle nudge if I haven't yet finished something I said I would.

It's been a pretty good day, quite a few "happy birthday" wishes my way. As well as giftiness and the inevitable cake :D

So, by this time next week I will have started school. This means that even the little I have been posting will be diminished. I'm gonna try to get some things out ASAP (like  neogeno450's commission page, which he has been waiting patiently for). Other than that, I'll be - and actually have been recently - really busy.

I'm actually thinking of taking another stab at writing (posted mostly on dA), as it is quicker and easier to me. It would allow me to create whole worlds and characters a lot faster without me having to take the time to draw them out. If there are any ideas, they're gladly welcomed.

Seriously though, I've been faving submissions left and right today. As of right now, I'm at some 30-something favorites from just today, and there will probably be more by the end of the day.

No one is safe from this either, I've got all sorts of stuff. I'm seeing random artists I've never even heard of, and I am very much enjoying myself.

And here I was worried about transferring to FA.

For some reason, I've been really refraining from talking to anyone ever. It's really weird, like, I'll watch and fave stuff like I normally would, but I never comment, and so nobody really comments back.

What am I waiting for? I'm so weird.

All the submissions I wanted to bring over from DeviantArt are now uploaded. Just as a note, there are certain things I'd rather not repost here.

So this means that all submissions as of now are new.

I'm starting to get to more recent work, meaning it's steadily getting better in quality.
