PSA regarding Ref sheets commissions (and other stuff)
Posted 5 years agoI've noticed that my reference sheets has gained a lot of attention in these past months, so I've decided that a price chart regarding reference sheets only is a big must.
When I finish all what I have pending on my actual To-do list, I'm going to make a fresh VISUAL chart with all the info you'll need for a reference sheet (+ types, price per element/graphics, preferred contact methods...) and of course, a price change.
Sadly due to my inmediate way of working and quick turnaround I'm only able to open limited slots once every two or fours months since I'm still a human and I need variety for myself in terms of commissions (Not only for myself, but I'm more than sure my commissioners would also enjoy the same) so, as much and I'd love to offer more than 5 slots, I'd prefer to stick working in maneagable quantities since I like to be organized and avoid a bottleneck effect both for myself and for commissioners themselves.
I'll only announce I'm taking slots for reference sheets via here (journal) or in my twitter mostly (I could switch between these two though)
So yeah, after this I'll make an organized info/price chart for my reference sheets.
What I have planned for these upcoming months is also some batch of adoptables and a little bit of BIG BAD BOY (s) auctions; all these updates are most likely to be posted on my Twitter account, from now, I'll work in the last things I have and then I could switch to normal commissions such as busts or middlebody/halfbody with BG. Another planned thing I'd like to work in these upcoming months is about offering a more cheap commission like monochromatic sketches, since all of my commissions are going to pass for another price change.
OH, and since I've gained more experience regarding customs, this year there's a big chance that I finally going to start taking customs commissions, and I'd also have though about MONSTERFY-ME customs commissions, something like you give me your character/fursona, and I'll turn them into a monster using my personal touch some guidance regarding your preferences... BUT before that I need to figure out prices and info for those first!
♥I'd also like to thank you so much you all for your support, preference and love! being honest I'm still kinda overhelmed seeing how much you all enjoy and love what I do... not only that, I also feel lucky and happy to have such nice and sweet commissioners to work with.
this always encourages me to never stop improving everyday and in every commission I do while also giving my costumer a clean/happy experience throughtl it.♥

Things didn't work as I thought they would last time... I'm still trying be positive about this, though I'm going to focus in a different way now; gonna be saving up for a year or so, BUT, i still want to let you know that I appreciate A TON all the help and support I've received so far, like, a billion 'thank you' for y'all wouldn't be nearly enough to show how grateful I am with all of you peeeps.
(That's why I felt so guilty about myself for not achieve it at first ;; BUT, i'm a stubborn dumbass that won't give up so easily! )
So yeah, I'm going to be taking commissions, both ko-fi and perhaps other kind of options like chibis and whatnot in the upcoming months (including adopts, ton of goodie adopts! ♥), be aware that I still have to bear these rationing lights but commissions are going to be delivered as usual as they always have been delivered (with diligent service!), I'm clarifying this mostly in case something happens (blackouts, fluctuating/unstable power or slow internet) that could delay me in any form with the drawings (though I'll always be informing about this anyway!)

I have been 110 hours without power.
It was a total shutdown in almost all the country.
Power finally returned, but light here is very unstable still. And also there's a rumor about having a +12 hours of power's rationing.

All the pending commissions have been finally finished and delivered, including the long overdue ones I had pending like half year , or one year ago. (crazy, I know)
I have decided to drop my "Waiting list" to avoid this happening again. So from now on I will take commissions during short periods and ONLY by the time I have them open. I'm not looking to take fullbody//gore//fetishes commissions in a long time also.
My mental health have been getting worse and worse each time, so for know I want to take a small rest only by designing characters... For what remains of this year, I'm gonna offer adoptables and nothing else. Commissions will be on hold until next year.
I'm already working on lot of characters designs to offer, in case you'd like to know, I'm in the making of:
A batch of pastel/cute adopts
Another adopt collab with my friend sabribee of cute-food theme
and other several auctions of adopts I have planned to do.
I don't think I'll be taking customs still atm but if you wanted to have an adopt, this will be now your opportunity!

I made a twitter uvu I admit never had the interest to learn how to use it at first, but now I know a little bit, is super fun! perhaps I'll tweet about anything (I'm sorry, I just LOVE to complain about anything like a kiddo) so don't be surprised is you also see memes, stupid thoughts or just me talking about anything. (of course I'll also tweet the artz and perhaps wips)
Kinda weird for me, since I know that despite having all these years in the fandom, I have never been the kind of conversational person someone would expect me to be. But yeah, after my shyness I can be a really talkatible person.

Remember the contest I told you about
I did not win.
Since the beginning, I felt something was wrong.
I wasn’t mistaken.
The person who won first place cheated, and I have solid proof of family members asking people to vote multiple times from different devices such as computers, ipads, laptops, phones, etc.
Even so, I thought, “well, they have official rules and they do a check out during the final round approving or not the design”
But NO, they just chose the three designs which had more voted
Although other people reported this (with proof) they excused themselves with “We cannot blame the artist for the wrong behavior of their family/friends/followers”
It would be the same as saying because somebody else gave me the answers to a test and I used them, “It’s not my fault because somebody else gave me the answers”
They say their voting process it’s transparent, even when they know people cheated…
Moreover, I’m not talking for myself, but for other artists who were HONEST asking for votes and publicize their designs the right way, for it to be for nothing, because a bunch of greedy pigs cheated, and the worst part is that they will get away with it since the company don't give a flying fuck about it.
You know now, you can cheat and get away with it as long as others do it for you. It won't be your fault.
Some people tried to show the proof on their FB page, but they quickly deleted it.
Colored sketches = Full commissions (Important. info)

After thinking about it for several months, I have come to the conclusion of what the title says, passing my colored sketches to be my predetermined option of full commissions... why? I don't know If you have noticed, but I don't enjoy doing full commissions that much, I never liked my "full works" at all. (that's why my full commissions are just a few comparing them with the amount of sketches I tend to take) and also that I always enjoyed a bunch more the look of the not-so perfect lineart with the shading and the kinda messy BG.
Perhaps I don't like that much my own clean artworks (technically speaking) and I'd rather go with a more messy piece of work since I feel less limited to be "perfect" or clean... besides, I honestly don't see any difference between a full and a colored sketch work... So why bother that much for having an option that I will never draw, even for myself? (in a price chart I even used some colored sketches works as an example of full commissions, heh)
If you have seen the latest pieces in my gallery, those are all what I'd call a "colored sketch", so from now on, that's going to be my artstyle. When I came to think all of that I just felt that I freed myself from a huge weight...
So yeah, I need to modify my price chart, since all the prices need to be corrected.

the only option that is most likely to preserve a clean lineart will be references.
differences, as I mentioned before, are going to be imperceptible, my usual way of work will be still the same; quick, colorful and detailed. ♥

Posted 7 years ago I went to my couple's state and I've been staying here since last tuesday. Back in my place, due to our electricity shortages they have been rationing it for longer than 12 HOURS A DAY (even more in other sectors of the states) In case you don't believe me, I'll leave you some old news, sorry, they're only in spanish, but I'll give you a short translation of the title.
"In Maracaibo it has already been 40 hours without electricity"
"With more than 140 hours without light, electricity crisis intensifies in Zulia"
"It is four days without electricity in Zulia and the authorities do not respond"
In other less serious news, the electricity rationings stopped two days ago (it lasted for almost a week or so)
I brought my tablet BUT I forgot my pen. My dad shipped it on friday and he told me it should arrive a day after tomorrow, i say this because I plan to continue with commissions while I'm staying here.

Remember my friend SabriBee? she was nice enough to let me stay last week at her house to share internet while I was there, well... today their entire ethernet cables where she live were stolen. (Here, thieves tend to rob the ethernet cables because the optical fiber is passed through Colombia's border to sell it since it's a expensive material.) many city's sector are suffering the same destiny. Now having internet is almost a luxury and a constant lottery ticket to not having it stolen.
So yeah, I'm kinda online using a cellphone's ethernet data (wich also was borrowed by my friend)... internet it's pretty slow and limited (I only have 2GB to surf through the web ) so I only use it to check some quick things. Will try to submit an adopt I'd like to put on an auction tomorrow If this internet thingy doesn't explode.
This situation is just... hard. It's getting on my nerves.
Also, remember the internet services I said I paid in the last journal? well, they gave us the modem, but they haven't connected the fucking service to it, my dad was going there for almost a week to make complains but they're exactly like the TV company in South park. Those motherfuckers just enjoy playing with anyones moneys and patience for over a poor service and attention. I'm still waiting for it.

So now I have not internet... I already contacted another internet services but they told me that the instalation will take between 10-15 days.

last week I went throught an horrible scare, a electric transformer (or power station) near where I live exploded and started to catch fire and that caused here to be a strong voltage surge that damaged the 60% of all the house appliances in here, including my computer.
Luckily the only thing that suffered was the HD, I though for a sec that all the info and files I had there where lost, but I could manage to turn on my pc and save all the files...All the drivers were unconfigured so I had to made an emergency reboot. (Or refresh)
I'm RN installing PS Cs6 and updating my GPU drivers... with the internet here is a nightmare to donwload something that's more than 1 GB... so I had to be very patient... That's why I have been so inactive these past weeks, I'm very sorry for all of this.

I have been wondering A LOT how I could manage the problem I tend to have with people waiting too much time for me with commissions, and I refer to people who ALREADY had contacted me and received an answer. I know there are even people who I didn't answered at all because I opened by mistake the note and I forgot to reply. (That's why I keep them unread until I inmediately asnwer, because the color thingy priority doesn't work with my forgiveness ;;)
So I came to a temporary solution: An special list of people waiting for their commissions. The only condition of this list is:
-To have several months waiting for me.
-You have to have an actual answer from me, per example: "Oh sure, you just have to wait for me until I end with what I owe, but I'd love to do that commission" or similars.
-Most importantly; that commission shouldn't be paid.
This wouldn't apply to people who'll read this journal and send me a note, since I want to know how many people are actually waiting news from their commissions.
Once I have all the people, I'll put them all in this journal and I'll be taking care of any of those commissions until I finalice with all. I don't know much would it take, but they need to know that I could be taking side-quick commissions also, since those are my quick income, because I WILL NOT ASK for money until the commission is all SKETCHED AND SET for approval.
^ please, this is important, don't forget that!
Also, this list doesn't have to do with the waiting list on my profile. I'm doing this because I think I should manage and know better who have been waiting for me more specifically. Depending on the amount of work and the time of wait, I'll apply discounts to the final price, as a way to make up my fault.

What I'm going to do to avoid this to happen again is that I'll only take two or just one fulldetail commission from time to time (if not, I'll take them rarely) since I hugely prefer to take colored sketches because their deadlines is always way more quick than a fulldetail drawing that can take me several days in a row to finish.

Rising up prices + other things I should update

The idea of not acepting more commission at the moment was because I feel I should already be raising my prices.
They haven't change too much over the years, even with my artstyle becoming more and more worked... so I feel that this is the proper time for a little bump.
I'll be working on updating all my prices sheets, the only option that isn't going to change are the icons which is price is going to remain the same. (25$)
ALSO, I should already make this an official announcent but I do REALLY take long to answer notes. Specially regarding commissions. I should make this like part of commission me, it can take several weeks or even months. Once I have answer your first note and give you a "I'll put you on the list" or "I'll start with your commission in x time" my response time is reduced because I give you priority. (This is with full commissions with complex scenery)
Colored sketches, however, are more quick for me to do and is most likely to have a quicker response than wanting a complex scenario.
So for all the unread note I still haven't answer, I will. But at the proper time. Please, be patient with me.
Ah, yeah, with gore commissions It takes even the double as the clean ones to obtain response, because I give 100% more importance and interest on the clean ones. (and mostly because almost all of them requires pretty worked and complex scenery that asks to be very dedicated)
I'll be working on updating my side account too. I'll make it a proper price-sheet regarding only gore/extreme commissions plus the info on how to contact me and other things.
ALSO, don't take this too literal, I can take some time to respond, but I obviously respond at a time xd is just that almost always that when I take too much commissions in a short time I tend to have like a "cool-down" time where I work really slow with everything for a month or so because I'm always careful in not to take more that I can chew and overload myself.
Sorry for being a mess at explaining things, wish I could draw all your commissions and make you all happy at the same time ;_;

Few (or perhaps several) people must have known me by one of my most revelant fursonas: Neko. Yeah, that brown vampire skunk that I used to draw in a lot of disgusting things for like, 4 years I think?
Slowly I drew her less a less, to the point where I tried to draw her in the recent past years but I don't consider her a personal part of me anymore and lost total interest... I've passed for lot of things haha
She has 110 pieces of art (perhaps more, but those may be missing doodles), what price would you consider for Neko should be? Not only for her kinda simple design, but also because part of all her arts are NSFW, between adult, vore and specially uncomfortable gore (wich almost any of those art were personal) so I think the person who may adopt her should be aware about those things first.
Perhaps I may offer her with a recent reference sheet to go along with a fresher redesign for the potencial interested person.
I'm still debating about doing it like an auction or just give her a plain price.

about commissions don't worry! I'll get to all pending commissions and unread note to its time. Haven't forgotten about them.
I think I may be sticking with doing commissions to non-stop for all this year. So a hiatus this year may not happen. (...unless I go to visit my BF) Since this has become my only form of monetary income and the expenses have increased too much.
