Posted 13 years agoSo me and my husband just got three four week old kittens. The previous owner had five of them and needed to get rid of them so my husband decided to take three off of his hands...even though we have Alice already. xD
Rather than scour the internet to find reliable information and risk getting charged by calling a vet (it's happened), I decided to ask the lovely people on FA and see if anyone else had experience with young kittens. I found some stuff on the internet and when my husband gets home, I'm gonna go to the store to get supplies and whatnot.

Help with a situation?
Posted 13 years agoSo, about a year ago (the tag on FA says it's a year ago, at least) I purchased an adoptable that was supposed to be colored from an artist who, for now, will remain anonymous. Well, after a couple of months while I was still gone sort of, I poked them to see how things were going. I'm pretty sure three months went by when I did. They responded with saying that they were working on the item along with a bunch of other things. I said okay. Two more months went by and still no sign of the character OR any explanations. I poked them again asking about the adoptable. They said the same thing. It's literally been a year. Now, I know I didn't spend a lot of money on this since it was only five dollars, but should it really take this long? AND they've been pushing out OTHER art that's not related to many of their commissions? I sent them a message last night. If I don't get an appropriate response, what do you guys think I should do?
I've seen their commission list and it's TERRIBLY long, but is it my fault they took on more than they should have? I mean, I'm all for being patient. Hell, I've taken a while for some peoples' commissions. But I'll message them every once in a while and I usually don't take more than five at a time.
I know I sound like I'm ranting, but I'm a little upset that I spent extra money I usually don't end up having on something that's taken a year+ for me to see with little to no updates on the progress...

Posted 13 years agoSorry about that. I've been trying to get a little mini comic done and it's harder than I thought it'd be, haha. I figured I'd do this until I got some commissions and whatnot. Maybe I'll do a couple of little things until I get a few commissions. Since they're my only source of income right now, I really need to get a few. ._.'

So I'm sleeping in my apartment...
Posted 13 years ago...And all of a sudden, I'm SNAPPED into consciousness because a friend of my husband who bought my mattress finally decided to come and get it. He said he'd call to let me know when he was getting it. He did not. I was a little angry about that, but it's cool, shit happens.
So him and his friend come in after I put my cat and dog in the bathroom so they don't flee into the wonderful outside and have me chase them. They're moving the top, bottom and frame rather fast which I'm glad about.
THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN, this kid comes INTO MY APARTMENT. Just walks in. I'm thinking he's with my husband's friend and his friend. So when they leave, I expect the kid to leave to. So I entertain him for a while, he wanted to pet my bunnies so I brought out Sparrow for him to pet.
Then my husband's friend and his friend leave...And the kid stays.
I'm like...who the hell is this kid? And when he finally DOES leave, I have peace and quiet for all of three minutes before he knocks on my damn door again. I only answered it because I thought my husband's friend had come back because he forgot something. BUT NO. It's this kid. By now, my animals are out in the open and he's standing in the doorway asking to pet the cat. And I'm holding Alice longer than I've ever had to hold her outside of her being in my lap. It's obvious that she wants to be put down. SHE HAS A CLAW IN MY BOOB. It kinda hurts. But this kid just keeps standing there.
AND TO TOP IT ALLLLL OFF, he ALMOST invited ANOTHER KID to come look at my "awesome house".

Commissions?
Posted 13 years agoI'm thinking of opening some commissions. Just for headshots for the moment. So, I think a sketch would be only $5, a colored/shaded sketch would be $8 and a fully lined/shaded/colored one would be $12 for black lining. Add, like, two bucks for a more lineless looking one because it takes FOREVER but still looks a bit nicer.

I know it's been a hell of a long time, but I've been a little busy. I'll go on and catch up, I guess.
I spent the better half of this year packing and such. I moved from Ohio to Kentucky at the end of March. And I got married before we left~
Husband's in the military and so we moved near his base. Then I spent the better parts of April and May looking for a job... unsuccessfully. But I'm still looking!
Got a cat. Adorable little ball of fur she is.

Posted 14 years agoI haven't been here in a while. But I've been under a crazy amount of stress, the larger of the two I plan on elaborating on.
My parents just got a divorce. I mean, I know I'm nineteen and all, but for seventeen years, I've been in a house with both my mom and my dad. Two years ago that changed. I'm coping with it, but it's just really...strange to me.
The biggest source of my stress is my boyfriend. Yesterday, I saw him off. He got on the plane to Georgia where the base of his basic training into the Army is. I know it's only training and I know after he's done, he's gonna come back to me...but I'm just not coping with the fact that I can't even talk to him on the phone. Not seeing him sucks, but not even being able to text him sucks so much more.
He's gonna be back December 19th for maybe a week and then he's gone until February. Or march...or April. Fuck, I can't even remember.
"But Nyako!" you may say, "He's gonna come back from that and be fine!"
Well, after that, he gets deployed. I know it's far ahead, but that's the scariest thought going through my head. I tend to look at the bad side for a lot of things and this is no exception. I'm terrified my little Kuromeru's gonna go out and not come back. And it's giving me nightmares.
I'm...okay right now...Not too good, not too bad. But one second I'll be fine and the next I'll be in tears thinking about him. Once I get his address, I'll be able to send him letters and he's promised that whenever he's able to use the phone, I'm the first one he's gonna call, so that makes me feel better.

But raging about a banner that's gonna be here a week? Seriously?
And the people saying, "I don't need to watch it, it's a grown up show and I'm grown up", yet are bawwing harder than everyone else? You're bitching more than the "eight year old little girls" you claim the show is for. They've got more maturity than you do. And that's fucking pitiful.
I have a shit ton of friends who basically hump the goddamn show like a dog you give treats to constantly. They talk about it all the time. They show me pictures almost everyday. I get a link to a Youtube video nearly once a month. And they're worse than a lot of fans COULD be. But you know what? I honestly don't care that they like it. It's what they like and I'm fine with that.
This banner is not that fucking bad! It's not shitting sparkles and rainbows and happiness. It's not even bright or anything! It's just a dull banner that happens to mention MLP.
And for the people saying that "it promotes a bad imagery for the site"? That's a load of horse shit. Anyone that goes to this site is either a furry and already knows what it is or, by small percentage, not. And those that look at the banner and go "WTF" can look to the RIGHT of the front page, don't even have to scroll, and READ THE DAMN ANNOUNCEMENT. Not that hard.

Taking Emergency Commissions
Posted 14 years agoI need to make some cash to pay this bill off and start paying off my tuition so I can go back to school. It's like, I'll go ahead and pay some of it off and then they just add more money to it. And my dad kinda left the city so he hasn't helped me with it. I can't even apply to the school I want until I get my transcripts and I can't do that until I've paid owed tuition...
I need to make around $500. The grand total is at least $1,000 and that sounds scary at first, but I'm expecting $500 from my dad sometime soon to pay some of it off, so it's not TOO bad, I guess.
Do you mind spreading the word or taking commissions? I honestly don't wanna ask for donations. I'd end up feeling kind bad about that... ._.;
Anything is available. Don't be afraid to note me as far as commissions go.

Post a refsheet of your chara. His/her name has to begin with one letter of the ABC that is still free. First come first served.
I will only draw one character for one letter.
(And it is up to me when and how much of your chara I will draw. This is free. Don't forget that.)
One character per person only! No exceptions! So choose who you want me to draw! And tell your friends as long there is some free space~!
