Okaaaaaay :D Back in motion, well, a little. Finally got up the courage to evaluate the damage and start using the computer again (settings got changed back to default factory settings.)

So whats the damage?
I lost everything. Yay me :'D

Lost my finished work, work in progress, all my pictures, all my art, commission list (with payment status, level of completion, email addresses etc...)
Because the backup files didn't work. Stupid computer didn't know what to do with the file. And neither did the internet.

Luckily, I didn't have any work that was near completion or had taken hours and hours of tedious work. All commissions of current were in the sketch phase, and email will help me retrieve all the info on commissions, including finished sketches :D
EVEN BETTER, I finally got off my lazy ass and gave Paint Tool SAI a try. OMFG, OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I really just wanna use SAI from now on. THE PRESSURE SENSITIVITY, THE CLEAN LINES though it'll take me a tad to get used to it, I'M IN LOVE. Y'ALL WERE RIGHT, I ADMIT IT.

Anywaaaays, I'll be putting my list back together, preparing to chomp through the rest of 'em bunny trades (I think theres... 1234..... 4 more to be done [not all of them are bunnies exactly]) Getting those completed and approved sketches back, DOIN A REALLY OLD SKETCH FOR A CERTAIN SOMEONE :B, aaand, well, GETTING MY GROOVE BACK.

As many of you have noticed, I've been pretty quiet the past little while. Well, I've pretty much just been lurking, however I haven't been very good at catching up on artwork.

Haha I'm not gonna give a sob story but really my best excuse is that I've been... sluggish, disorganized, and I guess somewhat stuck in a depressive, unproductive meaningless cycle. Its made me quite forgetful too; I can't keep track of the days, time, schedule or really myself. But ITS ALL COOL NOW AND THINGS should go smoothly tut-suite. Just hoping, no promises. Please don't choke me with all your furry hands for being so behind on the arts and commissions and whatever the heck else I do here.


NOW HERE'S AN ACTUAL EXCUSE that only applies to the past few days... I think.... (the whole time thing; days have been mashing together)
So I was happily browsing and... I don't really know what I was doing but SUDDENLY my computers all like
'I JUST REMOVED A TROJAN FOR YOU :D' but then my computer was going
'OMG I'M DIEING DO SOMETHING HELP MEH' so i was like '
MCCAFE, HELP, WHATS WRONG WITH IT?!' and mccafe was all like
's'all good bro' and then the computer crashed on me.
So I was like 'THE HELL MAN' and started it up. Well, long story short it was absolutely toast. I ended up having a nasty virus sneak right under my nose (I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW I GOT IT) and in the end I had to restore my computer to the factory condition. LUCKILY I was able to save all my crap to an external harddrive and I'm in the process of throwing all that back on it (I don't really wanna know how much stuff is missing yet...)
I'm kind of avoiding finishing up the process and getting back to the grinder... well, I dunno, you kind of get my drift though?

Yay for computers you can use as backup though. I'll get back on the horse when I get the courage (doesn't take me too long to do that) and I'll make an actual... not retarded journal. And draw until my hand hurts- or try.

Yeah, so after that last stream, I got a message from rogers and their all like "HAY, U USED UP 75% OF WUT U CAN USE SO FAR. U USE MOAR, WE CHARGE U MOAR MUNIES."

Cause their gay and put a cap all up in my.... internet usage.

SO UM, yeah I don't think I'm gonna be able to stream for the rest of the month, because I'm assuming it uses up quite a bit of bandwidth, and I don't wanna get charged by the gig if I go over. Right now Rogers is all like TROLOLOLOLO u mad bro?

While your reading this, what do you think about me putting art I've received from others into my scraps? I don't wanna make a seperate account, I don't believe in that stuff, but I wanna hoard it somewhere other than my harddrive. So, to scraps it all goes? What do you guys think?





So to conclude, worcestershire sauce. Nobody knows how to spell it.

Remember those bunnies that got eated by my computer? Yeah well I finally figured out what to do.

Ok so I've freaked out about it for long enough and I made a final decision. I really, really do not have the willpower to redraw every bunny. And if I were to redo them all, they would all be from scratch, because livestream ate the 5 hour stream of bunnies apparently.



SSSssoooo, heres the solution: Refund all the money, cancel trades that haven't been started yet, and do the bunnies for those who already finished the trade or started.
Why? Because money can be refunded, time and effort in artwork can't.
And I wanna be done with the whole bunny issue T.T




So this is how its gonna work, i'll be noting EVERYONE who didn't get a bunny from the ''batch that was never meant to be''. If a person paid, I'll be telling them they've been refunded and the amount, and if a person decided to trade, I'll inform them that if the artwork hasn't been started then it will be cancelled, and obviously request a reply as to the trade status, so I can cancel it or do the bunny.
And now that I think about it, if a person who started the trade decides they don't want a bunny anymore or something, I would certainly be more than happy to do a simple sketch or something for the person.

To those who decided to trade, even if you really wanted a bunny, I ask that you be honest about starting or not starting, because the less bunnies I have to do over again, the better that is for me :'3 as bad as that sounds.

Sorry for those who wanted a bunny :< I'll be teaching myself to save every 5 seconds starting with the next piece of artwork!

Guess what happened to the bunnies. Yep. Its like they never happened.

NOW HOLD UP, I'm gonna try to get screenshots of all the bunnies from the stream *thank goodness I streamed the whole thing* To the best of my abilities, and of course the best quality I can manage.

And to compensate, because I know theres probably one or two people who are about ready to go GEHSIOFJEISOFJESIOFJE all over my ass, I'll be issuing refunds for those who want them and excusing those from the trade who no longer deem it to be worth their effort.

WHAT I MIGHT DO though, probably not today because I feel like a lemon that just got juiced, is redraw all the bunnies. If I can manage up the mental strength.


So long story short I drew the bunnies. I completed the bunnies. Then my computer was all like NOPE and now theres no more bunnies. But livestream is all like I GOT YO BUNNIES so I'm gonna do what I can.

Seriously, thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou. I wasn't on the computer much at all this weekend, but when I was on I was just baffled by all the shouts and kind words from all of you. I really wanna say a great big thank you from the bottom of my heart :3

AAAaaaaand just because, I'd like to spam you all about my weekend :3 well, sort of. Basically, my weekend was great stress-free fun with my closest amigos. I was able to go to sleep earlier (I'd been starting to go to bed pretty late before), and do stuff in my home town with my friends I don't get to see as much as I'd like.
Were getting together again today, but not until later so I'll have some time to do stuff, maybe that one last icon if I'm lucky.

If anyone is wondering, I AM going to be doing art this week, but probably not as diligantly or hardcore as I would normally. I'll still be putting in decent time drawing, but if I up and go, I'm gonna damn well up and go lol

Um.... I'm sure I was gonna say something else.....

OH YEAH, a few days ago I believe? Was like, the hottest day ever here in London Ontario. I'm pretty sure I heard about it beating cuba and africa on the heat scale. I'm talking like 50 C with the humidex. For you americans, thats like 115 F.

I'll be finishing up with addressing any remaining inquiries (theres about one I believe) but I will not be accepting new inquiries on commissions starting today. I just... I feel like my well-oiled machine has gotten a little rusty. That whole 10+ day hiatus took a lot out of me; I just really wanna bum around my house or roll around on my lawn. Plus, the last few days have been really pushing on emotional levels, its honestly just hard to answer inquiries and deal with business. Even streaming is almost starting to be a stressful thing.


I'm already behind on my queue with lots of things to finish and do, and my work speed went from 100% to about 45%. I would like to give the biggest thank you in the world to all those commissioners who have been patient with me, especially those who have already paid in advance. Your artwork will be done regardless, I'm not stopping with DOING the commissions, obviously, however, I already am behind by... a few....weeks. T.T

Those who commissioned me recently and have a long time to wait according to my estimate, that time is about right in accordance to how long it will take. However, like I say with every commission inquiry, wait time is subject to change and in this case, I hate to say it but I might need a few days to do nothing.

I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION that if anyone is uncomfortable with how long their waiting or no longer want a commission or something, I am fully prepared to issue refunds. The only exception to this case is if I'm already past the sketch stage of your commission.
IF YOU DO at some point in time want a refund, simply note me, or email me politely that you would like a refund (you do not have to state why, however it is appreciated for my own personal records) and I will give you your full payment back. I make it a strict rule to keep track of every commission and commissioner, as far as payment status, completion status, approval of sketches etc. so if there happens to be any refunds, things will go very smoothly.

I never thought I would be in this position, behind on work and closing down shop and what not. I was going at a great speed, (though still behind) before all the crazy adventures. My time had freed up in the past few weeks and I was getting a large commission done every day. Maybe soon I'll be able to work like that again. However I created this problem myself, By schedueling too many pieces of artwork for my time frame. With the way I was working before the trip, I could pull off the 3-4 commissions a week I had been jamming in to my scheduel. My biggest worry, and reason for jamming so many pieces into each week (sometimes unrealistically) was really the fear of an extremely long wait. I feel proud and embarrassed at the same time knowing that new commissioners may have to wait 10 weeks or more right now.

I also lately just wanna do non-commission stuff. I've been pondering the idea of t-shirts, specie-themed artwork series' and just, stuff. I'd like to try character auctions, for the few designs I come up with on the bloody rare occasion. But, the only one really good at those things is  falvie gnruhges


ANYWAYS I shall cease my ranting, and conclude with commissions are closed due to stress and motivation related issues.

Well, that was a rather interesting hiatus. It was actually a nice break to get away from art and FA for a while ^^

Now, a summary for those who care:
thursday 12 hours in the car, no sleep the night before so I could shrug off the trip in a sedative state
thursday night POUTINE AND PIZZA with the special non pasteurized cheese and smoked meat <3
friday cousins house, after family lunch. more poutine.
Saturday, grandpa's wedding OLD PEOPLE COUNTRY WEDDING, ended at 11. lol.
sunday... sat around, did nothing, more poutine and pizza.
Monday went for an epic drive through the country. OMG MOUNTAINS and gravel roads. Hello gear shift. (I live in southwestern ontario, its flatter than flat.)
Tuesday 12 hours back home. worse than the way there.
Wednesday, getting ready for camping/making up for lost time dinking on the computer, crazy friends come over, no sleep.
thursday, go camping, half dead. first time setting up a huge friggin tent, 6 person tent. Did lots of stuff.
friday still camping. I did stuff. midnight hike into the woods. Scary as hell. Sat on the dock for an hour. Full moon. Totally ballin.
Saturday. pack up and go home. Scrub the hell out of my feet and go for a bike ride with best friend.
sunday monday end up spending time with best friend, because hes gonna be busy for the next week.

NOW, I'm back in business. However its a bit slow going so I'm gonna open up a batch of icons. I'd say about six. Keep an eye out in the next hour or two for it :B

So I meant to give a whole two weeks notice on this, but I've been really bad at keeping up with stuff lately *still keeping up well with commission orders and completion stuff THANK GOD*

So, the bad news is
Next saturday, July 2nd, I'll be raising my prices by about $5, with the exception of reference sheets. I will also be adding additional charges for things like detailed clothes and extremely complicated markings (sorry but clothes and tatoos and stuff are time consuming).
But the good news is!
I'll be counteracting the increased prices with cheaper commissions, such as flats, maybe sketches, and icons! So dun be worried, full pictures with shading are getting more expensive, but you can still get art from me without emptying your wallet, err, bank account.



And the reason for this tragety, if some of you are curious, is because at this point, I'm working for less than minimum weige xD Especially when it comes to clothes. Don't get me wrong I enjoy doing commissions and its more for the drawing experience than the money, but I gotta be fair to myself!

Why am I telling you about this a week in advance?
I'm not gonna randomly drop the hammer down, and I need to give you guys opportunity. So this week is your last chance to get artwork at less than minimum weige prices xD Heres the way it works, my policy is that you can pay for your commission at any time up until the sketch is completed and approved by you. Currently my wait time is 8 weeks just so that you know, and once we agree on price is when I add you to my list, so for the next week, you can note me about a commission and when we get price settled you'll have your spot and save yourself some money!

This does not affect current commissioners in any way!

For all commissioners, I'm about a week behind on commissions based on the quotes given, give or take a couple days. Mind you this may not last, and for commissioners way in the future, it may not even affect you.

Gah, its a terrible thing, but yes, I think I must adjust my prices. With each new commission I feel I'm getting better and better, and putting more and more effort in. If I take into account the time it takes for each piece, I'm really making like, not a lot of money per hour. Plus, there might be certain add ons for prices and stuff, like complex characters, or, omg, clothes.

So, heres the way I see it, if prices do change (they might not immediately change, and if they do I'm definitely announcing it at least a week in advance.)

To counteract the raising prices, I think I might offer flats, their quite a bit quicker and still look very nice.

As far as regular anthros and ferals go, shaded and all, each one might be bumped up by like $5. I'll probably add a varying price for things like overly complex markings and clothes.

reference sheet prices will stay the same though I think.

Maybe I'll find other little things to fill in gaps for those prefer to go cheaper, like badges or icons.


I dunno, tell me what you guys think, throw me your opinions, tell me if its like too much or something or throw me a stick. :P

And, I'm totally gonna do a garage sale tomorrow. Oh yeah! Don't even have my crap together though... should probably work on that...

What else.... Oh I was at subway yesterday and the woman nearly forgot to put meat on my sandwich. I had to mention it all awkwardly like "uhh, they do come with meat right?" Yep.

Since I joined FA I've met only great people. People who take the time to talk to you, truly enjoy what you do, people who express themselves in such a way that inspires me. I gotta admit, no matter what people say about furries, and no matter what kind of fetishes or crazy pronz swims around, their really great people who for the most part aren't afraid to express themselves. I can't say I'm a true furry, nor would I call myself a furry, but I am sort of an... appreciator of furries.
The reason I joined FA was to openly practice drawing anthros, because I find it intriguing to modify a creatures structure to that of a humans, and it kinda fits in with fantasy and all that stuff. Along the way to doing that I met some really awesome people, and I've been helped a lot in an endless variety of ways. Now I may not refer to myself as the character Nyani, yet she is my fursona, in a way that you can relate to her as a physical representation of my online ego. shes my way to interact with the community better ^^

And since so many people have helped me, and that I definitely need to be a little more than a commission artist in the community, I'm doing a feature! Lets hope this works well!
