Hi everyone! I figured there are quite a few of you guys out there who want to know when I’m open for commissions again. To be honest, I cannot tell. I’ve accepted some smaller (non-furry) and one bigger commission without being officially open and I feel sorry for those, who have been waiting without contacting me yet.
Therefore, I will keep a list for now. It’s not ordered, but I would like to work first on art for people who have never commissioned me before and/or who have been waiting a long time. I hope you can understand! Headshots and ferals without background can also be completed faster.

I am currently working on my bachelor thesis, studying for my driving test, and preparing for moving back to Austria with my fiancé in August. When I’m back to my parent’s house, which is partly mine now, I will have to look for a job, renovate the house and I bet I will spend a lot of time in the garden and on my brother’s farm. After living in a small flat for almost 10 years I really miss living in the country. Therefore, I can’t tell if I’ll be in the mood for drawing commissions until at least the end of the year.

📄 TOS Update

🏠Personal
2019 has been a really shitty year this far. I lost my mother to breast cancer, that she’d been hiding for years. While my brother has to give up his farm and look for a new job, my father and me are left with a big house that needs to be decluttered and renovated. For me that means lots of long travels from Western Germany to Austria. And on top of that, I’m hardly making any progress on my university studies. That’s something that really gnaws at me. :( I’ve also lost already 8 of my cats this year. Half of them got hit by a car, to one I’ve fed a poisoned mouse without knowing it. Wuschl, my oldest cat with 14 years, probably had cancer as well as she had some tumors and was getting thinner and thinner. That she eventually was killed by a car was a release maybe.
If it was only the death of my mother, I’d be fine. It’s the sum of all the bad things that have happened that make me feel so devastated.

Hello everyone! It’s summer and again it’s time for you to get a chance to win something! This time I’d like to hold a little drawing contest.

What to draw
I’d be happy to get pictures of my fursona! You can draw her as feral or anthro, lioness or wolf. Any medium is possible. You can add your own character(s). You can submit more than one image. A background is not obligatory. Mature and adult images are not allowed (except blood). And of course, no tracing or heavily referencing is allowed.

The images will be reviewed under the following criteria:
- Task: Did you fulfil the task? Have you drawn my character accurately with the right colours and markings?
- Effort: How much time did you put into it? Are the colouring and lineart clean? Is there shading and a background?
- Composition and perspective: Are the composition and perspective interesting? Does the background match the character?
- Originality: How original is the idea? Does the image have a clear message?

Important note:
The prize for the first place is only given away, when a total number of 10 contestants is reached.

- Komposition und Perspektive: Sind Komposition und Perspektive interessant? Passt der Hintergrund zum Charakter?
- Originalität: Wie originell ist die Idee? Hat das Bild eine klare Aussage?

It is that time again, where I really miss the option of creating a poll for my watchers. So I kindly ask you to read this text and tell me in a short comment what you think.
The topic is about YCHs, adoptables and other images that tell you to purchase something. Their amount highly increased over the past few years. Right now almost every third upload is not a finished piece of art but advertisement. People can post reminders for their auction or sale every four hours. I think this is all getting out of hand. I kind of feel pity for the people who paid money to advertise on FA. X)

Somewhere I read that FA is planning a new category for these uploads, but that probably won’t be released very soon. (How long are we waiting for the community badges, again?) We don’t have the ability to hide all YCHs, adoptables, stream or patreon notices whatsoever. In the FA forums I read that people are de-watching artists, because they upload too many of these things. I also had to do that not so long ago. I wasn’t sure if I should contact the artist and tell them that I think their multiple uploads every day are spam. In the end I didn’t say anything, just de-watched them, because I thought I’d only get a rude response.

I also have been asking myself if I should make YCH auctions and adoptables myself. It’s easy money, not that much work included and there are obviously a lot of potential buyers out there. Above all, submitting more images, even reminders, attract attention. I’m sure more people would watch me if they only knew I existed. But that does not change the fact that I feel uncomfortable with uploading unfinished or old artwork too often.
Btw, I am reporting stuff that goes clearly against the rules. People are uploading a lot of text-only images to promote their sales.

With 17 participants in total, we didn't reach the marker of 20. That's a little disappointing for me. With more than a thousand watchers I was hoping for more. :'( The number of new watchers kinda make up for it, though.

PS: Sorry I'm a little late for the journal. Yesterday's been very busy for me!

Slowly I can accept that artists who upload more stuff, more regularly and who do not necessarily have to be better than me get more (positive) feedback for their work. I've had big problems with that in the past as you might already know. I also have to accept that artists, like a good friend of mine, get commissioned more often than me, although their prices are higher and we have about the same drawing skills. They seem to get a lot more in contact with a wide range of people. I have to admit, they somehow deserved their customers. I have made the decision not to be "best friends" with people, who I think are the garbage of the furry fandom and therefore, I have to live with fewer customers.

But there is ONE THING I refuse to accept. A few months back it was revealed that several good lion king artists were tracing or at least "frankentracing". That's when you trace different body parts from different pictures. They did that in commissions and after It came out, customers demanded their money back. It's a shame for all the artists who aren't that good in coloring yet, but try really hard to create THEIR OWN stuff. Within the lion king fandom I know almost every popular artwork and of course, I know all the poses from the movies so I can easily tell if something is heavily referenced. It's a lot more difficult to find traced artwork within the furry fandom, because it's so much bigger and there are hundreds of different styles.

Turns out the body is traced line by line. So the customer paid at least 65 dollars for a head and a tail. Congratulations. :|
Lying and cheating like this makes me sad and angry. Art theft is one thing, but then making so much profit out of it, that's just really lousy. Keep an eye out for other popular tracers and spread the word, if you agree!

Hey everyone who noticed this journal between dozens of others in their inbox!
I think it's time to apology for the amount of time it takes for me to finish a commission. I thought it would be easier, but there are so many other things I wish to do. Studying for university has top priority. It doesn't go too well at the moment, although I'm investing a lot of time in homework and studying at home. This is worrying me alot.
Then there are the cats at my mother's farm and house, who need to be taken care of. My family there has got some serious mental issues, but won't accept any help for that matter. I deflea and deworm the cats, brush their sometimes knotted pelts, wash them when they're dirty, give them medicine when they're sick, give them dietary supplements as my mother refuses to feed them properly and organise spaying. With more than 25 cats at two locations, that an awful lot of time and money I spend for them. Nevertheless, I really love them and I just don't have the heart to give them away. My biggest wish is that one day, I'll earn enough money for my own house, where I can take the cats to and where they can get the (medical) treatment that they need.

Another project I'd like to keep running is my roleplaying forum. I'm currently moving to another software which requires a new style. I'm not really good in CSS and I'm even much worse in asking for help. <_<
I'd also like to open up a discussion board for my study course, because the current one is just miserable and a lot of people are calling out for an improvement. But I'm sure, I could never run this thing alone. And, as I said, I'm bad at asking for help.
Oh how I wish back the times where I was admin at the official German Warriors forum... Why can't I be as productive and respected by others as back then? Well, that I moved on the furry fandom would explain the loss of respect.

Before I forget, I've also got a new Laptop and with it a new version of Photoshop. It will also take some time until I get all the settings right and the brushes installed.

Hi everyone!

First, a little life update: I'm doing fine. I really enjoy living and studying in Aachen. People are so much friendlier and more talkative here than in Austria. and me have got a nice flat and since last April, four furry roommates: mice. Never thought, that they can be so cute!

I haven't been on a convention or furdance this year. My motivation to meet other furries has been very low. I was at a meeting one evening, but I didn't really enjoy it. There was nobody I wanted to talk with and the food was way too expensive. So I decided to leave early. I also had no interest in Eurofurence, since I hate the 80's and wanted to spend the money on something else.

Currently, I'm thinking of re-opening commissions again. It will still take a while until then, because I have to study for exams until the end of September and then I want to finish a personal picture. There will probably be 5 slots at a time, first come, first serve. So keep an eye out for the next journal update. The new commission prices will be posted, too.

Eurofurence was really cool this year! I was again amazed by what this fandom is able to come up with. Just imagine all the work that is behind the shows and panels. It's so good to see people who take the furry fandom seriously, who don't make furries look like they're all sociophobic, unemployed and obsessed with weird sexual fantasies. Unfortunately I wasn't able to meet all the furs I wanted to, because we left earlier than originally planned, but I've made a few new acquaitances, yay! I also bought something in the dealer's den. Two coasters and a figure of Mufasa and Zazu. It's too bad that they didn't decorate the hotel according to the topic like last year. I really missed that. I also think that they shouldn't pick the same artists every time for their banners or con books. I'm sure there were many more people who drew something for EF. Less known artists should get their chance, too, even if they're not this good. Last year there was that cleaning lady who became sort of a running gag. This time at EF there were 3 ! hilarious moments. At McD a little girl wanted to walk past us and tried to squeeze through the tiny gap between Howling and me. We were standing next to each other. It took her three times until she got the idea that walking around might be a better option. Then there was this guy who tried to get access to our hotel room. Even though there was a big sign on the door he thought it was his room. I told him that maybe he's on the wrong floor. I never saw someone who took this long to realize that he's wrong on the room number. The third memorable event occured on our way back home. A slightly choleric driver wanted to play with us...

Coming home earlier gave us more time for moving preparations, that we really needed. Our new home will be near Aachen, the city where I'm going to study aerospace engineering. ^.^ I'm looking forward to it and I hope that I won't have motivation problems like before in Vienna. This time it just has to work.

Almost another year has past since my last journal. Nothing much has changed except that I moved to Germany for an internship and to study here. Drawing still causes a lot of problems, envy and tears. says I should show more of the unfinished stuff I do not consider worth an upload. I'm still unsure about it. People won't fave or comment this stuff. But if it helps getting more noticed... I should try at least.
I started to attend furry meetings and suitwalks, also in order to meet more people. It's not easy. I often tend to stay calmly at the edge. When I look at some furries I really don't want to have to do anything with them (rainbowflag-hissing fags for example). It's hard to find someone I can share my interests with. Many furries I met in the past only like me because I made Howling feel better. What sort of reason is that? Is there nothing more personal? When I start talking about myself I soon get the feeling that I bore others. It's also the other way around. Either I get bored or really sad, because I never had the chance to do the same things as them.
All these thougts are draining me. I ask myself what it is that I really want. Do I really want to have friends and be popular and noticed by anyone? Or is it just by a certain person? Which one then? Why is this so important to me?

I should do the things I like to do. Drawing and desperately trying to make friends with anyone aren't one of them.
I'm attending EF next month. This one shall be more organised than the last one. Does anybody know if there is an official schedule for all events and panels out yet?

Okaay, that came suddenly. I'm going to attend EF this year. o.o My original plans were to wait until I have more money and someone I trust, who'd always be on my side, some kind of "security". Yeah, I admit that I'd be afraid to go there alone. So many perverts around there who lack any sense of decency. <_<
Several (un)lucky incidents in the past month allowed me to go to EF already this year.

Hello dear watchers and guests to my gallery!
As I said before, I'd really like to draw more often, finish my pictures and upload more stuff - but I can't. I nearly always quit the work, when I think I can't get something right or when I notice a mistake in the picture that can't be corrected anymore. There's this huge blockade that keeps me from trying again or finishing it anyway. A few times I even started crying, because I wasn't able to draw what I intended to. I started with a blank sheet and finished with a blank sheet, now creased. I'd rather erase everything than keep a crappy sketch.
Now I know, that these thoughts aren't the healthiest. I totally lack confidence. It's not only a problem that I have with drawing, it affects everything in my life. I'm trying to find a solution for all this, but you can't get confidence over night. I'm afraid it will still take some more months or even years. So in short it can be said that the more new pictures I'm uploading, the better I feel in general.

Commissions will be closed for an unspecific time, several months at least. It's to get me back to drawing for fun and not for work. And as I don't like to see my gallery inactive, I've come up with the idea of "TBT-uploads". (TBT= Throwback Thursday) On thursdays I'm going to upload old art. Not every week, though. I hope it's not spam for you.
Besides, I'm working on a personal gallery with nearly all my pictures from the past seven years and even older stuff. I hope I can make the website public this summer.

Hey, I thought it was time for a little survey. I've been thinking of what to do next after finishing all the commissions. That will still take a while and who knows what I'll be up to then. Nevertheless I'm interested in your opinion now and how many of you actually bother to read this goddamn journal. Sorry for strong language, but it does not not only make me feel disappointed but also angry, when I put effort into something and then it's being ignored. I'm not (only) talking about FA. It happens everywhere and I don't want to blame anyone specifically. Some people sure have their reasons.
I get called pessimistic a lot. Besides pissing people off it's a good thing, because you can only get surprised in a positive way. Let's try this now and get back to the survey. My questions are

What do you want me to draw more (often)?
What do you want me to draw less?
What do you like about my art?
What do you dislike about my art?
What do you watch me for?
Would you like to see rough sketches here on FA? If yes, in my main gallery or in scraps?
Do you read the artist's comments? / Are you interested in thoughts on a picture?

You don't have to answer all these questions. They're just suggestions.

Oh, time goes by so fast. It feels like a few weeks ago that I've posted my last journal and that was in ... March. O_o I've opened up my commissions at that time and I got so many requests that I couldn't really believe it! I hoped that I would be through the list of around fifteen commissions by the beginning of September. I know I'm an artist that needs hours and hours to get a picture done but it turned out that I'm even slower than I thought. xD Of course, it still needs some time to get back into drawing considering that last year it was my "laziest" with only around fifteen finished pieces. 25 in 2011 for comparison.
June and the beginning of July were again a hard time for me. I lost my only real life friend I had back then. He disappointed me deeply, I felt so ripped off and the fact that he was a furry and the whole thing had to do with it didn't make it easier for me to draw furries or for furries. Then I had to deal with some unreliable people and studying for university. So I dropped back in the plannings I had for the commissions.

Now the good news! :) I spent two days with some great people in a great city in Germany and let me tell you that in this short time everything was just p e r f e c t. I forgot all my troubles and thought to myself "This is what's worth living for"... After coming back to my own "family" it was, as I told my brother, like a punch in the face, that woke me from dreaming. Nevertheless I am still full of motivation and the last time I felt so good was at least a year or even two ago. I hope that feeling will last for a while. ^^
At the moment I'm also more into drawing. Next picture will be (hopefully) uploaded tomorrow. I also made a facebook profile for posting WIPs, sketches, veery old art and other random stuff. I'd be happy to see some of you over there:

Since there were more people now who asked me for the reasons I deleted my artwork I'm writing this journal. It would be much easier for me to explain everything in German, but I'll try my best doing it in English. I hope you can follow me and understand.

To begin with, I had lost nearly all of my interest in drawing. The only thing that kept me creating new stuff was the expectation to become more popular or simply to become as good as another artist. In other words, I only drew for the sake of other people, not for myself. In order to be known by more people I only drew commissions, art trades, fanart and even gifts, because these pictures would probably get spread on other websites. What I actually loved about drawing, the ability to express my feelings and to give my imaginary world more reality through bringing it to paper, experimenting with new materials,..., has taken a back seat. Anyways, I didn't achieve what I wanted, I was impatient and so there was a new disappointment every time I uploaded something. I didn't get as much comments or favorites as I was expecting.

The next thing that bugged me that unwritten law saying that no one may ever say anything against a popular person and/or their art. There are some artists out there who's drawing style I really like but their selfish personality pisses me off. I once wrote a comment saying that I don't like the theme of the picture and suddenly a whole bunch of fans was after me, insulting me because of my opinion. And I can't really do anything against it, because I don't have a big circle of that kind of "fans" or "friends".
The reason why I stocked my pictures on deviantart was was the one that I just mentioned plus the incompetence of the current staff members. Their reporting system is so fucked up. And especially in the Lion King fandom nearly all of the new posts are traced bases from the movie. In my opinion these have nothing to do with art anymore and over all, it's a copyright violation. Fortunately it's not as bad here on FA. I still use my DA account to watch people, so you can contact me there, too.

And what comes last, I was and I am afraid of posting personal art with my fursona. I didn't want certain people to see how I am, because a lot of the pictures would have shown me feeling everything else than fine. I've already been bullied after I've uploaded such things. -.- That brings me to the reason why I appeared again here asking for commissions. I'm studying at university now, my father funds me, but the money is tight now. My grandmother moved to the retirement home because of Alzheimer's. My mother's home is barely heated because of the increasing price of fuel oil. And I often go to bed hungry because I want to safe as much money I can for the psychotherapy I really need more frequently. Actually I had planned to stay away from art communities until at least next summer and only draw private stuff, but well... things came different.

My commission slots are currently all taken, but what you can do to help me, if you want to, is commenting my stuff, contact me and do some small talk,... just that I feel less ignored and overseen. I hate that feeling... :(
