I am now OPEN for Pencil + Digital Color Bust Commission Slots! Basically, I'd like to revisit doing my digitally-colored Bust Commissions, BUT with the drawings done traditionally this time - real pencil on real paper! - then scanned and colored digitally at hi-res.

First: Wrist Sprain

Update on my wrist/arm: it's improved a lot the last few days! I's a big relief that I'm pretty much able to draw comfortably again, at least most of the time. And kind of scary to realize just how important and vulnerable my wrist is. :C But I've been taking a bunch of magnesium and zinc and drinking tons of water. Also stretching, lots of stretching!

I'm still behind on things from before, unfortunately. Regarding icons and such (specifically the stormy icons): it turns out animation even as simple as 6 frames takes much more time than I was expecting! Most of them are painted, I am just still doing the actual animating. Sorry for the delay, they should all be done this week!

Just like the title says: about a week and a half ago, I sprained my right (dominant) wrist while moving some furniture. :[ Luckily, it was not that bad -- I didn't even realize I'd done anything to it initially, until a few hours later when the pain/swelling began to set in, and I realized "oh, that's probably not good..."

So I have been doing all the usual things since: rest, putting ice on it, wrapping it up, soaking it in epsom salt, more rest. Thankfully it has been getting better! I'm still limited in how long I can exert it at a stretch before the muscles/tendons in my forearm start to get stiff/achey, but I am able to do most things with it again, including drawing! I was a little afraid to even mention it before, lest I promise "it'll be better soon!!!" only to jinx myself and have it take longer than expected to heal. D: But I think I'm in the safe zone now, finally.

Anyway! All this means I didn't get much art done for pretty much an entire week+, so now I'm behind on a few things that were supposed to be done by now (icons/badges & some progress on other stuff). To those waiting, I apologize for the delay! I'm in the Dealer's Den, right up front again this year at table #2 right next to  egypturnash. However, I will NOT be setting up there until Friday; I'm arriving at the hotel Thursday night, but not until well after the den will be closed.

Along with the usual prints, badges and sketch commissions, I'm going to be trying an experiment: real media YCH (Your Character Here) commissions! I have a dozen or so 1 and 2-character pencil compositions drawn out, and will be offering them at a discount compared to my regular con commissions! Hi, everybody going to RainFurrest! Since we're all freaking out right now about only having a week to go, I'll keep this short. ;)

I want to offer BUST sketches (pencils/inks/color) at RF in addition to full-body sketches, like I usually only do. These will be less expensive AND give me a chance to go into more detail with things like facial features and expressions!

I currently have NO examples, so - would anyone like a bust shot commission? It would probably be about 6x8 centered on an 8.5x11 sheet, and as a special twist, you will get to see 3 versions: sketch, ink and color. I may end up charging $60 or more for color at the con, but I'm offering one of these now for $50. Must be prepaid via PayPal, and picked up at RainFurrest, otherwise it will be an additional $5 to ship to the US.

RF is coming up fast, and I am working on about 20 things at once, whee! :D Updates for big stuff coming soon... also I am trying to finish up my last 3-4 glowy-eyes icons; if you ordered one of those and don't hear from me by Wednesday-ish, please poke me and make sure I didn't lose track of you! Everyone else, I'm pretty sure I have you all lined up, but if you want to know the status of your project, just email me.

In the next couple days I'm also planning to open for a few cyberpunk-themed badges for RF (as if I didn't have enough to do, but I can't pass up this theme!); still trying to decide on a style or two, but they'll definitely have glowy stuff and cables everywhere, etc.. Please keep an eye on here/twitter for the announcement about those!
