They'll feature your character with highly detailed rendering, usually from about the waist up (though often this ends up being the top 2/3!), approx. 2500x3500. You pick the rating G-X, and I pick the pose, colors, lighting, etc. I may include a simple BG of my choosing, and I'll run a preview of the pose and composition by you for edits in the sketch stage. I'm aiming for October as the loose (NOT firm!) deadline.

Hi guys! To those who are waiting for a Hot Tub Party YCH update, I am VERY CLOSE to being done with the first lineart draft! Sorry it's taken longer than I expected, I am working on it!! Hi guys! I'm back from a perfect storm of real life (two illnesses and a con, mostly... oh yeah, and this HORRIBLE allergy season, ugh). Still working to catch up, but making progress! Okay, so I got a *lot* of interest in these icons, 3+ times as much as I was expecting! I had a REALLY tough time deciding, since pretty much everyone has great characters... so what I've done is, I've split everyone into two groups, and I think I should be able to do most if not all of them. It's just going to take a bit longer than only 4 or 5 would have, so I've divided entrants into two groups, as follows:

The first group has already received email from me (and looks like everyone in group 1 has paid; thank you guys!!). The second group is basically 'next in line' for a second icon round, at the same price as before. When I've finished, or nearly finished, with the first group, I will email everyone in the second group. If you're still interested when I email you, great! The spot's yours. But if you've change your mind, that's fine too.

Rgarding the Rave Commission, today is the last day I'll be accepting requests for any changes for the final version. If somehow you missed it before: If your character appears in the commission, and any of their crucial details are incorrect, please email me at electricgecko at gmail dot com with your character's name, and a description of the edit(s) you would like made.

I didn't specify a time before, so I'll accept requests for the next 24 hours, until ~7am Thu Feb 20. After that I'll be working to finish up the edits that have been requested, and sending out email to those who bought slots and those who donated for the full file.

Okay, guys, here's the latest on the Rave Commission:

It is about to be "the beginning of February," my previous completion goal, and I am happy to say I am ALLLLLMOST DONE!!! YAY! Currently, my goal is to have the finished piece posted on or before Sunday night (Feb. 2nd)! (I'm needing the extra couple weekend days to finish final cleanup stuff, which is quite an extensive task with 65+ characters... :))

But the moment you've been waiting for is almost here!! And after it's posted, I'll be sure to make several announcements, including here and on Twitter, and send email out to everyone whose characters are featured.

So I'm going to try something new [for me] - I'd like to do a couple of Single-Character Commissions with the same detail level as the busts I've been doing, just expanded in format to include approx. the waist and up. So they're really more like half-body portraits than busts!

I do NOT have an exact sample of this at present! But, you can look for submissions marked "bust" in my gallery to get an idea of the possible detail level. Price is $100 (which, considering they'll take about twice as long as the $60 busts, is a bit of an introductory discount), via PayPal.

Please note! This is NOT FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVE - I will be choosing one (or several) based on interest. In general, I tend to favor species based on real animal(s), mythic creatures if you have very good reference materials, and/or characters with some room for creative interpretation... but any/all are welcome to apply!

I'm not sure how many I'd like to do, thinking maybe 1-3? Depending on interest. To be completed this month or next. If I pick yours, I will notify you by email by tomorrow (Monday), and you'll have 24 hours to pay to keep your slot.

Hi everyone, I'm back! Where was I, you ask? First of all, visiting my family for a couple of weeks over the holidays. Then when I got home, I managed to come down with a nasty cold, so spent another week battling that off, in addition to post-travel introvert decompression. But here we are now, I'm feeling much better, it's a new year, and I'm gettin' back to work!

Rave Commission Status: about 80% done.
I didn't quite make my previous goal of the end of 2013 for completion of the rave commission, in part due to the fact I ended up being away from my work computer for the latter half of December. HOWEVER It's coming along very nicely, and I'm now pushing to finish by the beginning of February! (Note that, because it's so close to being done already, I won't be posting any more WIPs... but the finished product will be worth it, I promise!)

Other Commissions: back in progress!
If you're waiting on a small commission (badge, etc.) from me, I'll be finishing up several I owe this week. If you're waiting on something larger, feel free to inquire by note or email, and I will let you know how yours is going and when I expect to be done.

I'm also going to be changing things up a bit in the coming weeks, including offering some new options and limited experimental styles for commissions... so, keep an eye on this journal, as usual, and/or my twitter account (@artbyoce) for announcements about that once I've figured out the details.
